I am newish to AT so maybe I am missing something.  I have read a few, slightly older, threads where users are looking for a two way sync solution and there have been many third party for a few solutions to their connection needs.  I don't need a two way sync, looking for one way from Sheets to AT.I am working on a project to link multiple content calendars and projects. Some of those calendars live in Google sheets, in the future we may be able to lure those teams over to using AT but that is not in the cards at the moment.What I am looking for is a solution that does not require us to have a subscription to yet another service.  I mistakenly thought that AT would have been the solution for these calendars that live in different systems.Is there a way currently to one way sync a Google sheet to AT?  I want AT to be the source of truth but the teams will be working out of sheets to make updates, so would just need those updates to be reflecte

Hi I receive email orders and would like to add the received emails to the order record in my Airtable. Tried a drag and drop but this transfers the message from Outlook as a .msg, which can’t be read. Occasionally there are multiple emails, and I would like to have them all in the same place, with the particular order. Any help appreciated!

I created an interface designer page of the type “list” and it show perfectly  on the desktop client. In this list there is only 1 field (= primary key field), about 30 characters wide. But on my iPhone, the field gets truncated, showing only the first 25 of it, following by 3 little points (...), although there is a lot more space ( I estimate around twice as much). Is there something I can do to prevent this truncation  ? Or is this a standard behavior of the mobile interface designer ?

Hi everyone, I’ve searched the community but only found some older threads on this topic, so I wanted to bring it up again. Are there tricks/workarounds that do not including setting up rules within mail-inboxes to just delete the notifications? Right now, I can follow or unfollow comment threads manually, but it’s tedious to manage this every time. I’d really love the option to set a default notification preference—specifically, to only be notified when I’m mentioned. Having a global setting like “Notify only when mentioned” would make the interface much more manageable, especially in bases with a lot of activity.

I have discovered airtable in the last few days, so very amateur! I have created my first couple of automations to send an alert to managers e-mail when specific actions need to take place. The trigger e-mails include complete an absence review meeting if a staff member exceeds Bradford score of 150, and another is complete punctuality investigation meeting if employee is late more than 3 times in a month for example. The information like absences, probation due dates, lateness are stored in different bases. I would like to know whether it is possible to use these alerts to create a task list from all bases so I don't have to go into multiple bases and tables to find outstanding tasks. I would then like to be able to upload an attachment of say a performance review and this to automatically update to a completed task. Thanks in Advance!

I’ve seen a lot of requests for specifying Today() as a prefill option for a date field, but I haven’t been able to find any asking whether you can pass Airtable a specific date as a prefill option. Is this a thing?

I have a table, Calls, that will soon have lots of records and lots of data.  I would like to provide the user with a simple interface to add a new call.  Each call contains linked records to other tables -- e.g. “Liturgical Date,” “Prelude,” etc.I would like the user to be able to select from a list of existing linked records , or to enter information for a new record for that field if it doesn’t already exist.It’s very straightforward how to allow the user to select an existing linked record.  However, I can’t figure out if there’s a way to let them add a new one on the fly. Does this exist?  I’m really hoping so, since if not, the data entry will be very tedious at first, if the user has to go to one interface to input all the liturgical dates and music, and then to another one to select them.Thank you!

I have a dropdown menu in a form that is linking to another table. The other table has dates and a label for each date. I need the dropdown menu to show both the date and the label for the user. It currently only shows the date in the preview.

Hi,I have set up an email automation using Outlook. Is it possible to add my email signature to this email and also change the from name to the business name instead of my personal name?

I’m attempting to set up air table to distribute parents possessions between 10 siblings Scenario:  If there are 100 items and 10 lots of 10 items each.  Each sibling wishes to receive a certain decoy, a certain lamp, and a certain painting. Sibling one rates, only three items, the decoy, the lamp and the painting. Sibling 2 enters a rating for virtually every item on the lists Sibling three enters a rating for 30 different items on various lists that she desires, leaving the rest blank.  Under this scenario, my understanding of the program is that sibling one is almost certain to receive at least one of the three items she covets.  Sibling 2 is highly unlikely to receive any of the three items. Sibling 3 has a middling chance of receiving one of those three items. Am I correct?   

I’m trying to troubleshoot an error that’s coming up on a Zap of mine with little luck. Everything works except the last step, which involves updating a field in Airtable with a ticket ID retrieved from Freshdesk. I receive the following error: Invalid permissions, or the requested model was not found. Check that both your user and your token have the required permissions, and that the model names and/or ids are correct. I’m not having much luck with this one because I have the exact same zap set up for another table in the same base, exactly the same way, and that one returns no such error and runs successfully. Just to go through each part on this step:The airtable account and action (Update record) are correct, same as the zap that is working properly The configure step connects to the correct base, the right table, and references the record from previous steps and the retrieved freshdesk ticket ID, same as

I found a similar thread from four years ago but was unable to reply. I use Airtable personally, for freelance work, and for my 9-5 all with different emails/log in credentials. I would love a way to easily toggle between these things without having to log in and out every time and to avoid getting access error messages when following a link. Canva and Google both do this very easily. It would be great to be able to do so in the desktop and mobile app. 

I'm setting up an automation to find records from webhook data. The field I need to match appears grayed out by Airtable with an error, "No valid nested options". Please see image.I've never seen this error message before, and a google search was of little help.Can you help explain what this error message means and how to resolve it?Thanks!

I want to create a dashboard that will combine data from tables that are in two different bases. I know that an interface can only pull from one base, so is there a way for me to create a synced view that will pull data from both bases into one table and then i will create a dashboard that will combine them? what is the best way to do this?

I made a interface and it shows peoples full name. When I do a filter by full name it shows zero results. Is this a bug? So my goal here is to be able to report on certain users and the issues they encounter. So is there a different way to filter by users name?  

Hello, I used the PM Template as a guide to build out a PM base and interface, copying all data exactly as shown. The only issue I'm having is that when you select Assignee, only the first pie chart updates to reflect the Assignee selected. The rest of the widgets do not update. I have both open (the template, and my version) and when I toggle an owner in the Template, those widgets update, but mine does not, Again, I copied everything exactly as shown in the Template so this really shouldn't be happening. Any ideas?

Why can I no longer add choices to my “Language” dropdown? I used to be able to select the “Language” column header and select edit, but now clicking on the header does nothing. 

I have reviewed countless resources to learn about structuring bases for linking records and using the Lookup function, but none are effective. Is there any way to have a screen share call with someone at Airtable or in this community to show me how to understand this ?Thanks ...

I’m trying to move a tool my organization uses from excel to airtable.Previously, we would update a data sheet in excel with components, and their individual unit costs. On another sheet, someone could enter the component name (ie, “widget”) and they’d excel would calculate the average cost of that component across the data set OR let someone know it’s not a component we’ve ever used. I’m okay with the “widget” query also returning results that include widget, such as “long widget.”Is there a good way to do this in Airtable? Am I wrong to think an interface is the best bet?
