Hey guys, I’m using the “Insert Record As Grid” feature in Airtable (screenshot below). When I choose this, it lets me choose the columns I want included in the grid.The columns of the grid appear in the order of the dropdown list that appears.Where does Airtable take the order of the dropdowns? From a specific view?I want to order the columns differently but it does not work. I have lots of different views, so I don’t know which view determines the order of the columns. Would really appreciate the help! :) Thanks so much in advance!  

Can we *please* get an Airtable API that supports native stats operations?  I’m tired of having to ship data *outside* of Airtable in order to get this information.

We are getting close to determining of going with Zapier or Make. I know very well the feedback about Make vs Zapier. However, the decision is more than just me. Either way, our team has a question on how to best judge how many actions or operations is enough?At minimum we’re quoted around 300k-500k runs. Okay, so it's 2023. Is it possible to update information in a record via a form and not delete data if the form field is left blank yet? I wish to allow users to update database information via a form, but I do not want the existing data in a field to be deleted if the user leaves a form field blank.Is there a way to achieve this in the Airtable UI and not third-party apps?Is it possible to add to the photos via this form submission instead of replacing all the photos with the update form? For example, photos 1, 2, and 3 already exist in the data. A user used the update form and uploads image 4. So it would update the data to have photos 1, 2, 3, and 4. As it is not, it replaces photos 1, 2, and 3 with just photo 4.Thanks for reading!

I have a table where there are potentially multiple images available:Two columns linking to other records, then One Lookup column for each of those to look up the image attachment, and then finally, One more column where I paste a screenshot, used for cases where neither of the other links are present.So there are potentially 3 columns which could contain an image attachment. If I were to try to build a sensible gallery or an app, I’d only want one image for many of the views, so I’d like to make a Best Image column.The rules are more or less:Does Source 1 exist? If so, use Source 1 If not, does Source 2 exist? Hello All, I have some fields in my database that are mandatory at different stage. I want to do a form with the first fields for the first time, and then send another form prefill and update the record. I do not see how to update. Is there a way to do it ? thanks

I use a lot of linked records.Occasionally I have an issue where a [Record from table A] is deleted (by a user or automation with script) which triggers the deletion of a [Record from table B] it is linked to (by a user or an automation). Because changes to from [Record from table A] look up fields in Table B trigger other automations, these automations start running before Record from table B is deleted. However Record from Table B has finished deleting before the other automations have finished. This isn’t really a maj

Did AirTable remove the ability to use forms on interfaces on mobile devices? We were previously able to submit forms on the mobile interface, but now we get the pop-up message that the page is not supported on mobile. Can we get this feature back?

Hello,  I am trying to write a script that will automatically match records. The Base set up is as follows. Table 1: Contacts. Table 2: Has. Table 3: Needs. Table 4: Matches. Contacts and Matches are self explanatory. The Needs table consists of “Buy Boxes” for real estate investors. i.e. Property type, max price, number of bedrooms, state, city, etc. The Has table is where new opportunities are entered. The goal of the script is to then automatically match new entries in the Has table with open Buy Boxes in the Needs table, then score the matches based on the number of criteria that match, different criteria will have different weights. Null in either Has or Needs table should not effect the result.  I am having a lot of trouble with this, as there are many variables in the Needs section. 

I’m trying to create a field that automatically tallies up the number of times each record has been modified. Does anyone know of a way to automate this? Thanks!

According to this support article, it says that we can use markdown formatting in any “long text field with rich text formatting on”. However, this doesn’t work. We have a long text field with rich text formatting on, but when we add markdown syntax into our text, nothing happens. For example, if we type the following into our long text field: **test** *test* test We would expect the results to look like: test test test (Notice that the 1st word is in bold, the 2nd word is in italics, and the 3rd word is plain text. That’s what we would expect.) But everything just stays in plain text, and looks like: **test** *test* test Thoughts on how to get this markdown formatting to work within a rich text long text field?

I am new to Airtable so forgive me if this is an easy answer. I have searched the forum and can not find the solution. I want to sum a field with several records {days worked}, by group {name}. I have accomplished this by grouping by {name} and the result shows in the group bar. I want to use the results of this in another formula calculation, in a different table. Has anyone been able to successfully use the Airtable API Request action in Zapier to make a PATCH request? I was able to get it to work for a DELETE request but no matter what I do the PATCH is returning “The app returned "Could not find field "fields" in the request body".”. Even when I test with something simple n the Body like like {"fields": {"Name": "New Value"}}Am I missing something obvious or could this be an issue on the backend? 

Hi, is it possible to sync a Firebase database with Airtable? I want to use Airtable as a way to support additional workflows but also update the original Firebase collections with any changes made in Airtable.

We have a variety of projects and ask teams to log their cumulative monthly hours worked for each project. We have an "Hours" table where each row is associated with a project, a month, and a year. Then the team goes into the table to enter # of hours worked for each project. I have the table grouped by month. For example, the grouped field for January 2023 group has a list of 8 projects:TeamMonthYearProject# Hours WorkedOperationsJanuary2023Project A 

Can Airtable manage version control with attachments to ensure that when a file is replaced with the new file, only the new file is visible or clearly identified as the current version whilst retaining access to historic versions?Any best practise on how to set this up or use some form of approval work flow? Thanks,

I’ve managed to get Markup URLs {[Text](URL)} working when sending emails by automating a field to be written with an automation. Hello, I work at a nonprofit using Airtable’s Team plan. We recently had a coworker leave but she didn’t delete her account before she left and I’d like to delete it now so she no longer shows up on our user drop downs, etc. She now has read-only access to everything she was formerly editing, etc. so she doesn’t show up on our billable collaborators list. Is the best way to have her account deleted to reach out to support? Is there any other way we can close down her account? Thank you for your help!
