I have data from an outside program that essentially has 300 questions from form submissions as columns and the rows containing Yes, No or N/A answers. I need to organize this data in a way to be able to get totals for how many yes/no for each question and come up with percentages for how often something is a yes. Thank You

Hi,I use Sling (getsling.com) to schedule crew for my events. I use Airtable to document all other information about the events. I would love if there was a way to sync my shifts from Sling to their respective events in Airtable. That way I would be able to see who is scheduled for that event and what positions they are scheduled for without having to log in to sling. Does any have any experience linking Sling with Airtable? Is it possible with a third party like Zapier or Make? If anyone has any guidance on this that would be greatly appreciated!

I use Airtable for something related to website data. I have a table which is a list of pages/URLs from a website, which was extracted from Google Analytics. The key is the URL/page but it also contains data such as the volume of page views and other statistics about the page. In an ideal world I want this table to update automatically, so e.g. the data is always about the most recent month. I know there is a zapier integration but I can’t get my head around it, mainly because what happens if someone creates a new page in the source data i.e I am not just updating records based on changes to the data in Sheets, I need to also populate new records. Is this multiple Zapier integrations??

Okay I think this might be a tricky one but let me know if you have any answers. Here's the basic concept. I'm producing a summer concert series and I want to create a budget and expense tracker. I want have a couple things I'm trying to accomplish.First, I want to be able to create a budget and allocate an amount of the budget to a certain category (labor, rentals, food, etc.).Next, I want to be able to track how much we are spending on each of those categories for each show. (Show 1: $1,000 on labor, $5,000 on rentals, $150 on food, etc.)Then, I want to link those together. For example, I want the show totals for each major category to then update the overall season long budget (the first item). Ideally, there is an interface with three pages. One is the Overview dashboard which shows the total budget, total spend, and remaining total budget. It would also show each individual category with total budget, spend & remaining. I'm looking for a way to share a calendar subscription link (e.g. iCal subscription) of a filtered view.  Currently my Calendar view subscription shows all calendar events for all users - I'd like to have a customised link that's unique to each user (i.e. using their username / email address field taken from the table) so that they can only see their own events and not those of all users.Any suggestions of solutions for making that work, please?

We have a Number field that we use for height that is always entered as a whole number in inches. Example: 65 or 66. Yet, when we pull this data via API, it will change it to a decimal. Example: 65 turns into 64.8 or 65.2. We do not understand why this would happen. Any help is appreciated, thank you

I haven't been able to figure out how to pick a specific value from a synced field when I have a form submitted.  (Aka I want to set several fields specific values)I have a form that I have created for adding a new event for the Virtual event team.  Since I know several of the standard fields, I am auto populating them on submission; The Program Team (HHH) TIJP Type - Program.But I can't get any values for State to show.  It is a Linked Field from the Sync table (States)in the Events Base.  What am I missing here to get the value like I have in the two other fields to populate on submission?     

What I'm after *should* be easy. I have spreadsheets of information that I manage informally. The rows of each spreadsheet are records that would ought to filled & updated by outsiders. Obviously there's a limit to how much we can do via Google Spreadsheets -- I can't assign ownership to each row.  So it seems like this is where people upgrade to AirTable. So here's the things I need, beyond what I see in the demo tool:It's a fair assumption that the first row is the field name. The second row is my description / help text. Can the import tool support that?Data is often never as primitive as we like. Is a map type supported? This could be edited through the form. I need to broker access to each row. I'd like to click on each row, "assign to group", and then email the owner of that group; they can then manage access for others who would update that row. How would they be charged? I imagine I should have to pay something for that access, but not $20/month, maybe $1.May

Hello! I have been using Airtable for a long time, with a Zapier integration, and ran into some issues recently that I hope someone can help me solve. I am using Airtable to collect appointments. The client's appointment time triggers Zapier to send an email reminder the day before at 9am.  This happens when the appointment moves into the "Reminded" view, using the filter to only show appointments that are scheduled for tomorrow. Since this would trigger to send the email at midnight the day before, I had to add a delay of 9 hours, to make this properly send in Zapier at 9am. Essentially, the day before an appointment at 9am, I want to send an email to the appointment subject to remind them.This worked properly for a couple of years, but suddenly the emails would go out all different times. I investigated this, and found that Airtable moving appointments into the view at inconsistent times were likely the culprit. That said, I want to build something better, that doesn't

Hi.  It's my first day. I'm trying to create a maintenance log for my laundromat. I created a base with the following tables: Washers, Dryers, Maintenance Requests.  The Maintenance Request table is populated by a form I created for my staff to request maintenance. On it I created a field called 'Machine Type' where you select washer or dryer. The next field is 'Machine ID' and if you select washer under 'Machine Type' I'd like it to give a drop down menu showing the Machine ID's from the 'Washers' table and if you select 'Dryer' I'd like it to pull the machine ID's from the 'Dryers' table.  Can I do this?

Hello! Currently for a school project (Software Development and Design) I am making a game in unity complete with an online highscores leaderboard through Airtable. The leaderboard side of the project is now done but I wanted to add a replay system to the game. Much like demo files from the old doom games my replay solution is a JSON array that contains the positions and rotations of the key game objects over the lifetime of the game. The file that is generated is only about 1mb in size and such shouldnt take very long to upload if sent with the rest of my run information (such as the players username and their time) The issue I have run into is that im getting an INVALID_REQUEST_BODY error every time i try to put the entire JSON string into a Long Text feild on airtable. I beleive this may be due to the fact that it is a JSON string inside the rest of the JSON request that is sent to irtable. Is there a way to isolate the string so that airtable doesnt try and parse this data? Alterna

Hey there, I have a problem with the interface form an airtable app i created. When i want to open the 'socials' interface, it doesn't work and it gives an error. I have tried numerous things, but nothing works. I also tried to get help from the airtable support, but they couldn't help me as well. Is there somebody that has experienced the same problem? Thanks in advance 

I would like to set up an automation so that every Monday at 7am, any checks under my "completed this week" checkbox field will reset and be unchecked again. How can I do this? I have tried a few things and continue to get input errors. Step-by-step instructions (As I am a beginner!) would be very helpful. Thank you SO much!   

I've build out an Airtable database that's working well but I'm getting stuck on what to use as a frontend. It's an internal lease management tool that needs to have a client login.We need the ability to have user permissions, an easy to read dashboard that looks nice, the ability to update records and export data.It also ideally should be a tool that does not have a steep learning curve.I started using Softr but then saw that the dashboard elements are only available on the professional plan ($139 a month) which is more than we want to pay right now. I tried Noloco which was great but the dashboard elements didn't present the information the way we needed it and the aesthetics weren't what we wanted.I would be so grateful for any ideas on what is the way to go.Thanks!

I have some items pulling into an interface.  I have 3 three fields.  Priority , User, and a description.  Is there a way to increase size of the user field to show full name versus truncating? I have hidden name but you can see that top one truncated and if there are two leads you only see the first one unless to expand to see all details?

I'm creating an office Desk Reservation system and I want to take the next step to make it even more user friendly by adding a unique QR Code to each Desk, so employees can walk up to the desk, scan the QR Code, and have the Desk Registration Form open with the Desk Number from the QR code they scanned Prefilled.I'm currently stuck on how to get the QR code's information to Prefill data in a single Form...and I dont want to make a Form for Each desk, that would be silly.Any help would be greatly appreciated

I've been searching for solutions for hours for this. My perfect worldEvent staff open an attendance tracking form. They select the event and class that's about to start. The walk around the room and scan the QR codes (could be barcode as well) on all attendee badges. Each scan adds that attendee (already an existing record in Airtable - that's where the QR code will come from) as a linked record to that event/class record. They add everyone in the room, and submit the form with everyone linked. Potential workaroundsMaybe directly linking multiple records into one field with QR codes isn't possible. If not, maybe there are ideas for how to do one of the following instead:Create an entire record when a QR code is scanned, and then collate that info later. But I would want to somehow link both the attendee and the class in that one scan, so if the QR codes are on attendee badges, I'm back to the same problem of how to include all those scans under one class umbrella.Airtable's

Hi everyone, I’m a pretty new Airtable user, so sorry if this question doesn’t use all the proper terminology. In short, I’m creating an automated appointment system for my organization. I am using a form to collect user information and create records that track scheduled appointments. Users select their preferred timeslot from a list of available appointment times (achieved by using a linked record field limited to an “Open Timeslots” view in a different table dedicated to tracking availability). The issue I’ve run across is that I only want users to be able to select ONE appoint time, but the linked record field allows for multiple appointment times to be selected. Is there a way to limit users to one selection with a linked record field? If not, any ideas on how something similar could be achieved? For a linked field, is there a way to limit record selection to a view based on the user?I have a Task table, with specific tasks for specific users.I have a Time table, where a user selects the taskDepending on who the user is, I want the only the tasks meant to be available.The only way I've been able to figure it out is to create multiple linked Task fields in the Time table. From my research, I think the answer to this question is, "it can't be done", but I'm hoping I'm missing something.My base has 3 tables:Waiting List - this is the "main" table, listing the people on the waiting list.Events - defines the events for which people may be waitlisted.Site Types - lists the possible site types that could be available to a person on the waiting list.Here's a highly simplified version of the base that illustrates the setup.Each record in the Waiting List table is linked to a single Event Name record in the Events table.Each record in the Events table is linked to one or more Site Types in the Site Types table. This link field defines the subset of Site Types that are available for that particular Event. This data is repeated as "Available Site Types" in the Waiting List table via a lookup field (if it's needed). As I have it set up, one Site Type record can be linked to multiple different Event records, but that's not mandatory--if it helped solve the problem,
