Hello! I’m new to Airtable and could really use guidance on structuring a base to serve as the central hub for our content production and management. Currently, we use Asana for task management and Airtable as a content calendar, but the workflow between them is clunky and inconsistent. I’d like to consolidate everything into Airtable in the name of consistency, efficiency—and my sanity.Current Workflow ChallengesArticles: Articles are manually brought into Airtable only when it’s time to promote them, not immediately after being published. However, articles are often updated later (e.g., older articles being rewritten or reviewed). Hello there,I'm starting to migrate from an old Access database to Airtable.  Part of this Access DB was used to track a number of groups and the days/times they meet per week.The data is in two tables, Groups and Meetings.  Groups is just a list of groups which has a one-to-many relationship with Meetings which is a matrix of a time-of-day and day-of-week:It shows in a report like below.  The letters in the boxes are different meeting formats:I have imported the data into AT and linked the two tables.  The issue is that all of the time-of-day and day-of-week data is getting combined into fields.  I understand that

Hi, i'm a total novice and really struggling with an automation, any help greatly appreciated pls 🙂My client hosts quarterly events, attendees register via airtable form. I am familiar with creating the form and the automated email reply. But thereafter the client would like to check the existing 'Contacts' tab to see if the attendee is an existing contact:If so, do nothingIf not, create a new contact in the 'Contacts' tab.I am stuck on the find records step, I'm not sure how to ask it to check the contacts table. I have a single base with a single table, that we use to track a large number of to-dos that we then assign to a handful of different users. There is a "boss" who has access to an interface that has a view that can see all of their tasks that he has assigned out (Master Interface). He will go through and leave comments from the Master Interface interface within the record, and tag the individuals so they are notified via email.We have separate interfaces so that individuals can only see the tasks assign to them, but when they are trying to open the link notifying them of their comment, it is trying to bring them to an interface they don't have access to (the Master Sheet).Can someone please help me figure out a way to use this functionality the best that will keep the following true:- Each individual can only see the items assigned to them- They will be notified of comments they are tagged in via email- Clicking the link the in the email will bring

Is there any setting to mess with or extension to install that allows you to have an attachment open, but not fill the entire browser? Unfortunately some of our uploaded attachments are scanned & handwritten PDF forms, but ideally I would like to be able to open the attachment easily in a side panel so I can both view the PDF and still access the grid view of the records and edit a few of the fields. For example, the PDF may have a date on it, name of who prepared the form, and a task all handwritten on it. It is uploaded to the table which creates an essentially empty record that just has an attached PDF and I need info from the PDF to fill out the rest of the record. Side by side would be ideal (some of the handwriting is beyond any type of attempt at image rec).

How can I fix this? It is a mobile made interface. On desktop I can see DATE as part of the dropdown options, on mobile I can't. On mobile even if I click the three lines icon to display more DATE is still isn't there. Any help is appreciated. Thanks

Hey Airtablers,I want my sales guys to be able to click on a button, and have it perform the following functions:- Update the 'last contacted' field- then create a linked record- then open that record into expanded view <-- This is the step I'm having issues with.I can't find a script or automation that opens records in expanded view. Right now they have to click the + in the linked record field, then click the + in the drop down menu to create the linked record. It 'works' but there's room for error and I want this to be as simple as possible for them while they're on the phone. This is what that looks like:Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!Paul

Hi,I have successfully set up automated emails via Gmail on Airtable.  Everything runs perfectly except that I can't work out how to change my sender name.The screenshot below shows the problem, it needs to be capitalised and include my surname.Just to reiterate, this is when sending via Gmail not from Airtable's own service.Many thanks in advance!  

We are using a Page designer extension in our base and now we are moving towards interface. In the page designer document we have designed in a way that all the columns in a record are set in a proper manner so at the end we can save a pdf.Now moving to Interface, is there any option where we can provide direct download/print option instead of going to the base and downloading from extension?

I got a MAKE scenario that reads AT. It runs fine.I copied the table and the scenario now does not run (even with no changes whatsoever to the table). All I've done is point the AT module to the copied table.The message I get in Make is: The operation failed with an error. [422] FAILED_STATE_CHECKI reached out to Make support, and they couldn't find anything wrong. I have many different bases which will have a table that has attachments, and then linked records to other tables within the base which then lookup the original attachments. As of yesterday and all days prior, I could open the attachment in the lookup field in the linked table directly. As of today, I can still see the preview for the attachment being looked up, but when clicking on it the cell goes blank and it won't open. My attachments are mostly PDFs but I'm seeing the same "won't load a looked up attachment" in other bases with photos and word docs as the attachment as well. Looks like it is an issue in the web interface and desktop app, possibly not in the mobile app (android) though.

My record is an account with multiple individuals and I need a way to use SendGrid to send an email to multiple recipients on that account. I’ve tried using a long form with "email1@email.com; email2@email.com;" as the Email Address Field, but it only sends to the first email. However, the email that is received does show multiple recipients in the “to” field. Is there a way around this, or is Airtable just not parsing the subsequent emails. I looked at the SendGrid API and it looks like you need to compose your JSON API call with multiple “to” recipients and so I’m assuming that SendGrid is also only parsing the first email for actual sending. Really really important for us.

Hello, I need to figure out how to display multiple select options in a cell that is contingent upon another cell. I’m making a list of corporate goals, then under corporate goals I have department goals. I want my cell to display only goals that I choose from within the department goal category. I have one column for Strategic Goals, another column for Department, and another column that I want to use to display Departmental Goals. I want to be able to search within the Department to select the goals I want displayed within the cell without it showing me every department goal. Is this doable? Please help asap! Thank you.

Hello,I'm looking for a solution that would allow me to build a front-end for my Airtable bases. I've already tried several solutions but I still have the same problem: I have a lot of buttons that trigger scripts (scripting blocks).I may have missed some features or solutions that offer this, but today if I have to migrate my scripting blocks to automation (to go through Interfaces) it will take me a lot of time. Solutions like Softr and others don't seem to allow this either.If you have a way of doing this without too many complications, I'll take it, otherwise I'll roll up my sleeves 🙂Thanks in advanceKevin

I have looked at a few of the prefix scripts but cannot find one that fits the bill for us.When a new record is created, our Ref field is manually inputted as:ABC2025-01 (Enquiry identifier - always the same 3 letters, Current Year, sequential number)Occasionally, the Ref field is filled with a subnumber, usually if a project gets split into phases. This is always manually inputted, so in theory the last project could end up being ABC2025-125-01.All we are looking for (hopefully) is once a new record is made, the Ref field is automatically filled with ABC2025-02, next record ABC2025-03 etcAny help appreciated
