I am working on an offboarding workflow to use when an employee is termed and leaves the company. I made a form that is the start of the process. Once a record is created from a submitted form the automation will send out an email to the terminated user and five staff members that all have tasks to complete. Looking for a way that the staff members can reply to the email they receive, and the reply update the airtable base. See what I have currently in the pic below.Ideally, I would like to have a single select field that the user could pick an answer from and then email it back to to airtable to update the base. As a workaround, I am buiding single select fields in the table and making an interface that I can link to in the email. The interface will contain only the relevant questions for that user.

So I found no way to get the total record count when I am in Gallery view. I would especially like to get the count once I have applied any filter.In the "Full View" the status bar at the bottom does show total count. It also updates when a filter is applied. I would want a similar way to get the count but in Gallery view. The Full view have an additional nice way to get count when Grouping is applied. But in the Gallery view we can't even apply any grouping.Any solution welcome, even if it needs Scripting.

Hello everyone,I hope someone can help me with a scripting problem I'm having.  I am a beginner with scripting and have been taking from examples of what others have posted to get this far.  I'd like to have the script find all records in the Enrollment table that match the input variable Students, then update the "SEB Goals 2" field (linked record) with the Goal input variable without replacing the Goal(s) that are in the field already.  This script could update more than one record but would probably never go beyond 3 or 4 records.  I think the problems are in line 23 but am not sure how to fix it.  The code as is did run, but it didn't add a record to the field.  It seems to have deleted everything in the field.  Any help would be appreciated! 

Airtable is wonderfully optimized for internal user teams. We are trying to build a simple app for external users.We want to enable external users to enter data into a series of linked tables as part of their signup process, with the ID created for them in the initial table used to follow them through the other forms as they move through the linked tables entering data. Basically, if a form could hand off an external user to another form with the ID prefilled dynamically for each subsequent form in the string. This ID is the relational field in all tables.We know how to use trigger actions to update tables, but we want to have a separate form for each table, with their identity established in the first table moving with them from form to form in a single session.

I have a table in which images are automatically uploaded from our server (see screenshot). These image files are then sent to s3 for further manipulation and need a more meaningful filename. I have an automation that handles bulk uploaded PDF-files, with logic that extracts an ID-number and date from the filename. It then copies the attachment to a record with matching ID in another table. It also checks a checkbox on the original record of the uploaded PDF to mark it as complete and avoid multiple runs.The automation runs fine, with just one weird "bug": The filename of the copied attachment changes to a random string "XxxxXxxxXXXx". However, if I now delete the copied attachment and go back to the uploaded file record and uncheck the "completed" checkbox to trigger the automation again, the file is copied with its original filename kept!I suspect the reason is related to the automation starting to work before the file has been fully processed by Airtable, and some kind of temporary name is used. But this is also contradicted by the fact that the automation relies on data from the filename to be extracted before it can run...My first idea was to add a delay to the automat

I'm not sure how I can delimit a "Find Records" to update multiple records all at once.I know when it plugs them in as a list, it's trying to do "A,B,C" and obviously airtable isn't getting a match on the ID because of the string of text.Does anyone have a script I can modify to break that out so my Find Records can input a single value, into multiple records at once?Thank you!

Seems like an easy automation - would love some help! I would like to send a notification when a status field changes - whenever it changes regardless of the status.  There is no option for "when" a status changes. I am sure someone out here in this amazing community has done this. Would love some direction, thanks!

Hello, I'm using Airtable to trigger a series of onboarding emails to our new users. For now, I have no idea whether the person actually gets the email, let alone open it and click it. Does anyone have an idea about how make this kind of reporting possible? Many thanks!

I am running a very basic automation where a record is triggered based on conditions and the second and only step is that a script runs. The script is posting data to a webhook, the data is the record ID of the record that triggered the automation. and a static value of one. Hello!I'm using a daily "find records" automation to send out digest emails to my team. I display the records in a list or grid in the email, including their Start and End fields (the records are tasks).In my base, I've formatted both the Start and End fields to display in the same timezone (EST) for all collaborators. However, in my automation, the timezone is displayed in UTC, and I don't see a way to edit it. Is there a way to ensure that the date/time in the "find records" automation matches what is in my base? Thank you in advance!

I have an automation that moves information from one table to another when a date field is entered. The problem is that the date field also has a time associated to it which is an important part of the dataset. The automation fires right as you click a day without allowing time to be entered accurately. Is there a way to only have the automation fire when a time is inputed as well?

I'm trying to create an automation that sets a User field to the "Created by" user as an initial state when a new record is created. The idea is that I want users to be able to reassign it later, but not leave it blank when a record is created.However, it appears the only way I can reference the Created By user is if the field is present in the table, which I would rather not have. Clearly Airtable knows the user who is creating the record, is there any way to reference that value without putting the Created By field in the table? 🙏

Hi!I'm trying to create an automation where, when a record is created in one table, a record is created in another. I want one field's data to populate from the first table into the primary field in the second. The automation to create the record is working great, but I'm having trouble populating the primary field. I've tried a variety of combinations of actions, and it works in preview, but when activated, does not work.This is the automation in preview. I have a field that has stuff in it like this" 2023-02-09 Jeff Alexander Website"I'm using a formula to extract the date and the name so then I have fields that look like" 2023-02-09" and "Jeff Alexander Website"I want to make a calendar view of this table. It's asking for a date field. Even though i have a field that isolates the date ( 2023-02-09 ) it isn't a field type of date, so airtable doesn't recognize it. my thinking is that i need a date field and i need to autopopulate it and i don't know how. Goal:Create an automation that adds all items with a specific labels to another table so that I dont have to connect them manually.Struggling with:I have a table of items that I label manually via a single selection. 
Then, I have a second table where I link specific items based on their label, and use a lookup (in a different column) to retrieve all the values for selection. Then, on the third column, I have a  formula that SUM all the values.I want to create an automation that adds items automatically to the second table every time condition (selected label) is met, so that I dont have to manually link the items that have the label I want to the second table. 

This sounds possible to do, but after many tries, I wasnt able to do it and decided to request your help in making it happen 🙂

Hi, I am trying to populate a a single select field with the result of a formula. The current trigger is that when the formula field is not empty the single select field will become populated with the value of the formula field. When I created the automation the preview worked, as did the test run. However, when I add new records the automation fails in the action.

How can I setup airtable using QR codes or barcodes generated through a QR / barcode generator with Airtable to track the movement of items between different areas in the same store?This is mostly to prevent manually updating the location of the scanned item, and automatically detect and update its new location.Is this possible? Hello Folks,Hope you all are doing good. My Task - There are 2 tables. "Client Briefing Form" and "Master tracker". Both these tables have some fields in common. For example lets take a field named "Billing Information".My task is to write a Java Script where, when we run that script the values inserted under "Billing Information" in the "Client Briefing Form" should automatically update the value under "Billing Information" in "Master tracker" table as well. So whenever someone enters a new record in the client table the master tracker will get updated as well.As there are many fields i will need to hard code those values and create a loop.I am very new to Air table so some help or hints will be highly appreciated.Thanks in Advance.

I have been using the "Create records for multiple templates" script because I could not get it to work via an automation. I am currently getting more interface focused and the base button I had running the script does not work in the Interface. I am trying to close that gap with an automation and I can not seem to get it to work. I get the result I want with the first run, but every time the linked record (based on type of task) is the same as a previous project, it does not create a new list of items it just links the projects to the same items. This is an issue because any update to a task linked to more than 1 project updates both projects. I have tried formula fields and rollups separating results by commas, but it still links everything together instead of making a new list. 

Hello,We are on the enterprise version and we are wondering if it is possible to pull in a revision into an automated email.For example, we want to be able to show a change in dates and would like to be able to show the old vs. new date within an email.Not all of our users are in Airtable and we would love to be able to be transparent with our teams on what something was to what it is now for a change in dates. Thanks!
