Who can help me with this? I have a table (A) that is grouped by name. This is where the sales from our salespeople come in. The records are shot in via API so at the beginning of the day the fields are empty. So as the day progresses the list grows. What I would like to achieve: On another tab a list showing all the names that have been poured in (from A) with the number of records in the field next to it. Important here is that it should run fully automatically and realtime. Thanks for thinking along :slightly_smiling_face:

Hi , I’m new to Airtable and I’m looking for a way to fill out a table with new records. I have a table “employees” which the ID is the email and among other fields it has an “active user” check box and the field “programs” with all applications that a user has. I’m trying to create a routine that once I untick the “active” checkbox on the “employees” table , a second table called “offboarded users” would have another record automatically added with the “email” and the “programs” as listed on the “employees” table. The trigger works but the action part populates the table only in the “email” field and with some “rec” numbers. Does anyone can help me to fix this ? :slightly_smiling_face:

Hello, I’m trying to figure out how to automate a series of due dates for tasks. In this example, I have a project that has a deadline of 6/28/22 at 5:00pm. The to-do list associated with this project is automatically generated through a series of automation (every project that gets added to this table will receive the same to-do list). However, each task should have its own due date based on the final deadline, listed in the “Due Date for Task” column. For example, “Save and review RFP” could be 45 days out from the final deadline of 6/28. “Kick off meeting to determine focus of proposal” could be 30 days out from the final deadline of 6/28, for example. Whenever a new project gets added to the table, I want each automated task to have its own due date based on how close it is to the project’s final deadline, following the same formula each time. Hi, I am using AirTable to track project status for a number of smaller entities my organization funds. I have a form system that has an “Estimated Date of Completion” Date field and a “Status” Single Select field. Each record is a specific task. I would like users to receive a form to update the status of the specific task when the Estimated Date of Completion = Today, so whenever that date occurs, they have to either update the status to completed, or adjust the estimated date of completion. I was tried to create a new field that used this formula to indicate whether the date for Estimated Date of Completion is today: IF(IS_SAME({Estimated Date of Completion},TODAY(),‘days’),“It’s today”,“It’s not today”) That worked, but I can’t seem to figure out how to get the Automation function to trigger the activity. I’m relatively new to this - would appreciate any guidance or direction from the community!

Hi everyone - I’m attempting to run an automation to update a table and running into some issues and hoping someone can help out. Here is the set up: Two tables (table 1 and table 2) Table 1 has three columns: URL, #, and Name Table 2 has two columns: URL and Name Basically, when I add a record to table 1, and the URL matches a URL from table 2, I want the Name from table 2 to populate the Name field in table 1. I have an automation set it, and when I test it it runs correctly, but when I attempt to add a record in Table 1 it fails. The set up is like this: When record is created in table 1, find record in table 2 where URL contains field value from new record in table 1, update record value “Name” in table 1. AS mentioned, when I test it it works, but when it runs on the table it fails and I get an error that says “Invalid filter on URL” in the find records step. Any ides on how to fix this or another way to do this? Thanks!

Is there a way to create either a formula or an automation that can create a copy of a whole row in an Airtable base? Our company has a back end that we created, customers order products and then we create stickers so items can be individually marked. If a customer orders 4-5lb carrots, the single line item reads 4-5lb carrots, Boy and Girl Farm Then to create 4 individual stickers we have to copy the line item and manually insert a new row 4 times 1/4-5lb carrots, Boy and Girl Farm 2/4-5lb carrots, Boy and Girl Farm 3/4-5lb carrots, Boy and Girl Farm 4/4-5lb carrots, Boy and Girl Farm This makes it so individual stickers can then be created. Is there a way for me to create something that would multiple a whole row by the quantity? I’m super new to data bases and am more likely than not using NOOB terminology or incorrect words for things, so let me know if I can elaborate anyway, I super appreciate it.

I created an automation to trigger an email when a record has been modified/updated. Can I set that the “Action” will not happen immediately. let’s say after 10 min from the change? Thanks

Actions are not executed although the conditions are met and the automation is displayed as runs successfully. If I then run the automation again in test, the actions are executed. Trigger: When a record is updated Conditional Actions: Condition: IF lookup field value contains <text> AND multiple select field values has any of <selected value> Find records Which meet the condition above. Update record Record ID: <record ID> linked field: <List of ‘Airtable record ID’ from step 2> How can this be?

Hi Community, I am sending out emails in an automation and would like to send out follow-up emails with the email history of the already sent email after a delay of 2 hours. I know that there is a way to delay actions (https://support.airtable.com/hc/en-us/articles/360054070574-Delay-an-automation-from-running) but as I said, for the recipient it should look like I manually hit the reply button on a sent email with a follow-up question. Who can help or has an idea of what function or terms I am looking for?

I seem to be having an issue regarding the Airtable Automations. They do not seem to be running. It seems like they stopped running at around 1.35PM (GMT +3). Is anyone else run into this issue? I turned my automations off and on again, hence the status saying “Run Cancelled”, but the previous status was “In progress…” and that has not been updated since.

We have a URL field where we insert long Google Doc url’s. We then have an email automation working but when the email arrives, the link is broken - most of it shows as a hyperlink but the last 5-10 characters are plain text. Is this a character count limitation within Airtable Automations or is there anything we can do to fix it? Thank you!

Hi all, I’m just learning Airtable but have a question I’m hoping you can help me answer. I have 2 tables within the same base: Roadmap and Tasks. I have high level milestones/delivery dates in the Roadmap and detailed Tasks within… you guessed it, Tasks. I keep the milestones from Roadmap in Tasks as well but managing between the two is a pain – I’d like to sync those specific records between the tables. If I update the record in either table, those updates are carried automatically to the record in the other table. Is there a way to label specific records in my Tasks table and have them sent to the Roadmap table automatically?

Hi there, I’m trying to set up an airtable automation so that when I update a single select field in one table, it updates to the same thing on multiple records for that person in a second table. For context, it’s a Covid Testing Table. The table I am entering the info in is “Start Work Testing” and the single select field I am entering into is called “Rako Status”. My second table is called “Site Access Requests” and I want to update an identical “Rako Status” field in my second table. There is always only one record per person in the “Start Work Testing” table, but there are sometimes multiple entries for that person in the “Site Access Requests” table. I think I need a script to update all records, can anyone help? I would like for dates in the Automation to appear as July 4, 2022, for example. Instead, they appear as 2022-07-04. I have the date field formatted as ‘Friendly’. However, this does not appear to translate to the automation. I thought about creating another field that formats the friendly version of the date as text. But, that seems a bit cumbersome for each of my date fields. Any workarounds that I’m not considering?

Hi, I’d like to have my automation that is currently triggered by a When record matches condition to only run once per day. It seems the only way to have an automation run at set times is to set the trigger as At a scheduled time. However switching the trigger to be time dependent means I can’t have a When record matches condition rule. Any suggestions on how to make my automation time dependent so that it only run once per day?

Ultimately what I am trying to do is to have airtable generate an email reminder both 5 and 3 days before a task is due that has been created within a field in a base. For example, I have a TO DO field within a base in which tasks are entered along with DUE DATES. I’d like for REMINDERS to be able to be TRIGGERED to send out both 5 and 3 days BEFORE the DUE DATE for each entry as needed. I have two tables ‘Vehicles’ (a list of all vehicles, their type etc) and another ‘Bookings’ (dates, booking purpose) that has a linked field to ‘Vehicles’ allowing me to link multiple vehicles to one type of booking (via the primary field, which is a vehicle identifier unique to each vehicle) Having a separate table for bookings saves me from having to continuously make endless date columns for each new booking.
