I’d like to create a webhook that triggers a Script I have built. However the scipt has a button input to allow the user to select what they would like to do… I was wondering if it’s possible for the webhook to not only run the script but also make a choice/choices from the script questions? Thanks!

I would like for dates in the Automation to appear as July 4, 2022, for example. Instead, they appear as 2022-07-04. I have the date field formatted as ‘Friendly’. However, this does not appear to translate to the automation. I thought about creating another field that formats the friendly version of the date as text. But, that seems a bit cumbersome for each of my date fields. Any workarounds that I’m not considering?

Hi, I’d like to have my automation that is currently triggered by a When record matches condition to only run once per day. It seems the only way to have an automation run at set times is to set the trigger as At a scheduled time. However switching the trigger to be time dependent means I can’t have a When record matches condition rule. Any suggestions on how to make my automation time dependent so that it only run once per day?

Ultimately what I am trying to do is to have airtable generate an email reminder both 5 and 3 days before a task is due that has been created within a field in a base. For example, I have a TO DO field within a base in which tasks are entered along with DUE DATES. I’d like for REMINDERS to be able to be TRIGGERED to send out both 5 and 3 days BEFORE the DUE DATE for each entry as needed. I have two tables ‘Vehicles’ (a list of all vehicles, their type etc) and another ‘Bookings’ (dates, booking purpose) that has a linked field to ‘Vehicles’ allowing me to link multiple vehicles to one type of booking (via the primary field, which is a vehicle identifier unique to each vehicle) Having a separate table for bookings saves me from having to continuously make endless date columns for each new booking. Is there a way to add timestamps automatically in this field (image attached)? Our company tracks activities updated under “Activity Notes and history” field and for each update/entry, we would like to add a date/time to track the history.

I have a Profiles table. Each profile pay monthly according to start and end date. I want to create another table out of this table with payments request per month. Each payment request is per whole month / or until the end date Example: start date 1.6.22 end date 20.6.22 payment request will have from 1.6.22 to 20.6.22 instead of 1.6.22 to 30.6.22 and amount will be the % of the “amount to pay monthly” which is in the profile table. So basically an Monthly Recurring Revenue (MRR). A worker will start and fill all pending payment manually once he see it get paid in the back. Is it possible to use an automation to fill in a date field, if the user has missed it? I would have a publication date for a piece of content, and would want to set the writer’s deadline 7 days’ prior. I’m new to automations, so any pointers on how could I do this? I was thinking of creating a view to show such records, and using a record entering that as a trigger.

I have an automation that conditionally sends a Slack message when a record enters a view and matches a particular datetime field. The conditional action editor only allows me to select a date to match, but I need it to be more granular, such as the datetime field is prior to 6 hours ago. Is there a reason Airtable is so klunky and only allows to match on the date?

I was wondering if it was possible to setup an automation that would auto delete a record with a specific single-select field entry after 30 days or something.

Hi, To link my tables just after the import (csv files) I use Automation (find record, update record,…) But I’ve a table with 25 000 records and I made the import twice. I just reiceved an email from Airtable to inform me that ’ my workspace reached its monthly automation run limit ’ . I’ve a Pro plan. Do you now if it’s possible to add (buy) Automation run ? I need extra automation run only after the import (one time /year)

I’m writing a script that where I need to identify if a record has been deleted or not based on the recordId. From what I can tell a deleted record doesn’t return any values identifying its active state in the record object when using the selectRecordAsync() function. Is there a work around for this?

Hello! I am trying to create a table that autogenerates a list of tasks to complete for each record I have. I want the final table to look something like this, where each record has a list of tasks underneath it: However, when I’ve tried to do it myself, I have only managed to create a separate checklists, where each task is split up. I can’t get the record name to auto-populate into the first column; only the task name shows up. I want the checklists to show up under the record name. In this example, I want “File Determination of Suitability” and “File Report” to show up as tasks underneath each project, not as if they are their own separate projects. If anyone has any suggestions, I would be greatly appreciative. Thanks!

Hello, all! I have a list of people in a table named ‘Responses’. On a specific date and time I want an automation (or script?) to run that will create random pairings from the names on this list. I would like pairings to be created for the next 6 months in a separate ‘Assignments’ table and no two people paired together more than once. Hello, I am trying to create an automation where when every 10 new records is created in the airtable base it automatically create one new record with the data from all those records (thus, create one record with 10 record data inside), and then it will move that record to a new view. I will then create a zapier automation where when a new record is added in view, to add to an rss feed. My goal essentially is to have the following: every time someone fills out an airtable record, it only creates a new record if 10 were created total. I do this so that I can create a digest email via an rss feed welcoming new members.

Hey there… When you click a button on a record to trigger a script, you can use “input.recordAsync” to get a reference to the record/row of the button you clicked on. I would like to have 3 or 4 columns, each with a button on them. Instead of using a whole new script for each button, I would like to just know the name or id or field of the button that was clicked, so that I can know both the record AND the field (button) that was selected so that I can run an action specific not just to the record but also the button that was clicked. Is there any way to do this? If not, could the dear engineers at AirTable do the same thing you did for input.recordAsync and make it so input.fieldAsync would also return the relative field name the first time it is called if it was triggered by a button? It would help me to organize my code so much better. It’s also a pain having 4 or 5 different scripting Apps for a handful of simple actions. The only workaround that I can think of is

I see there is a template for employee on-boarding, however I’m also interested in automating 30-60-90 day reviews/check-ins. As we add employees I would like to have an automation notifying the employee and HR when they hit these milestones. What is the best way to accomplish this goal? Thank you.

Hi everybody! Google Docs automation works for me, but lacks some flexibility. For example, I generate meeting notes digest and would like to add a Date when document was generated in a Title of the document. There is a token TIME which allows inserting complete time, but I have no idea how to format it or truncate unneeded time part. Any ideas how to workaround this? Regards, Andrey

Hi, I am sending an automated email with an attachment. When I generate a preview and test the automation I get this message “Configuration has been updated. This preview may be out of date”. I have done similar automations before so am a bit confused to why this is happening if anyone can give me a solution or advise me on the matter I would appreciate it. Thanks Sean

Hey Guys, I am trying to set up Automation between Teamwork and Airtable wherein everything comes from Teamwork to Airtable e.g. any new entry in TW should come to AT, if deleted TW, should be deleted in AT, if updated in TW, should be updated in AT. So, its all one-way automation from Teamwork to Airtable. For this, I am using a Webhook module of Airtable, wherein if Airtable receives any webhook, that will trigger the action in AT. I am stuck at “update record”. so I am trying to update the existing record when there is any update in Teamwork. When I am trying this, I am not really sure how to do this. “Update Record” requires Record ID. Webhook from Teamwork does not have record ID. So I tried searching the record using field value but it says “this property can not be used right now”. I am not sure how to do this. Can someone please help? Thank you

How it should look: Every 3rd week of the Month (Trigger) Look up records with Date Range within the previous month (action) Send out a personalized email to each of the records, where it goes " Hi Emily… " next email “Hi Josh” (action) However, right now it’s showing up as “Hi Emily, Josh” and to “emily@email.com, josh@email.com” It’s showing the entire list of records… Any ideas or success stories? is this a possible feature within Airtable?
