I have a rollup field that calculates the amount of items that have sold in a specific month for each sku. I want that month to update with each month. I have a SKU table that is connected to a SALES table. Below is what the rollup currently looks like. I want the Month-Year to autoupdate I was thinking on building a script using automations where on the first of every month it would change the filter. Is this possible. Side note: To me this is a countif formula, but I dont believe this has been implemented yet. It would be nice to see a feature that adds the ability to filter using a custom function

I have a base that is being used to store all incoming data from a Tally form. The base is separated between two tables, “Applicants” and “Rental History”. On the Rental History table I have a lookup that pulls the applicant record from the “Applicants” table. However, I have to manually click in to the lookup and select which applicant I want to connect to. Is there a way to automate this so that when a form is submitted and a new record is created in the “Applicants” table the “Applicants” lookup on the “Rental History” table is automatically linked to the new applicant’s record? I hope this makes sense and any guidance at all is greatly appreciated!

Hello Everyone, I have a problem, like when a record is not Tx Ready before 24 hrs of release date, it should create a record in our data center base. But it is syncing from another base outside of that. Is there any automations that can work to sync the creation of record? This is what it looks like: I have tried to create an automation this way, but its not working. When I ran a preview test, it says “No records match this trigger’s configuration and the current search query. Add a test record or modify the trigger to successfully test.”

These tables are all on 1 database by the way. Airtable

Hi All, Hoping for a quick answer as I cant find it through search. I have an existing base and table that has already been populated by form entries. After the fact, I created email automation to email based on specific criteria. It seems that the automation only works on new records as they come in. Is there any way to push the automation to run on existing records in the table? In Hindsight, I should have set up the automation before but it’s a bit late now.

Hello. Nice to meet you! I want to compare 2 fields and fill another field with checkbox. For example, I have Company_tags and Current_firm fields in A table. Company_tags fields contain several companies name, and Current_firm contains 1 company name only or not contains. So what I want is I want some automatic way of seeing if the Current_firm is included in the Company_tags. If not, I want to check Confirmed field. I think this can be done in Airtable automation script or using other script. Check screenshot. Lightshot

Hello, I have pulled and seperated a sting of data on a new tab and would like the Primary Field to include some of the seperated data. I keep getting the circular error message. I’m struggling to see why this is happening but would love to know is there a work around? The string contains: Cost Name–Staff Name–Description of Services and as been seperated into different columns: {Cost Name} {Staff Name} {Description of Services} I would like the Primary Record to contain: CONCATENATE(datetimeformat({Date},‘YYYY-MM-DD’)," “,{Staff Name},” ",{Cost Name}) For whatever reason, I can add the full string but not the seperated information. Hi all, I have two tables in my base: Table A and Table B. Table A contains main projects (“parent projects”) for sub tasks in Table B. Table A has a multiple select field (STATUS) with five options. Each Status has its own sub task and is associated with the parent project in Table A. Each sub task has a START and END date [and I have a formula that determines if a sub task is “ACTIVE” (e.g., START is in the past and END is in the future); while that can also be handled using the filter option in the view itself]. Now I want Airtable to go and adapt the multiple select field STATUS in Table A based on the currently active sub task (or status respectively) but I cannot figure out how to do that in case of 40+ projects. I thought about an automation that runs once daily or a “when record matches conditions” but I am unable to think of the correct approach afterwards since I have no programming background unfortunately

Hello, I am trying to create an automation that would take a new record in my Table 2, and find the respective record in Table 1 and link the two together. For example: In table 2, I have a new record, John Smith, that has been added. In table 1, I should have a record, John Smith, with a different set of data. I want to make sure that in Table 2, John Smith is a linked field from Table 1, to connect the Table 1 data to Table 2 data without manually having to do this each time. I was referencing this article, but the struggle I’m hitting is that the “find record” action is never the same. It is all variable to what the Table 2 record ID is and then it should find the equivalent in Table 1. Do i need to use a script to find record that matches the table 1 record in table 2? I’ve nev

I have created a table to import Google Analytics data. It contains 500 records with relative URLs and total page views. I then want to use an automation to do the equivalent of a VLOOPUP on the URLs to find matches in a content table. When there is a match, I want to Update the content table record and insert the page view If I do Update Record after the Find Record step, it tries to run 500 updates and most fail. If I add Update Record under Conditional Actions, I would expect to be able to pass along the IDs from the Find Record step and just update those. However - though this passes in Test Step and returns a value for page views, it doesn’t get written to the record. What am I doing wrong? Thanks for looking!

When I click to check on a record it should increment by one in another column. How can I achieve this?

The automation is simple: a new record submitted by form → sends office an email saying someone signed up emails sends fine ✓ How/can you include some of the record fields in the email? Hi, here I have a column shows tracking number from multiple shipping carriers. some are something like ‘6495-4289-3463’(number+‘-’) or some are like ‘343918 ai19’ (text+number+space). I would like to turn these into only number and text without any ‘-’ or space. It seems like I can use trim and substitute for formula, however, I don’t want to create extra column for it. Therefore, I want to use script using automation when context is filled. what would be the script l can use?

Hi, I’m new to airtable and struggling to get the automations to work how I want. It worked for me yesterday so I know it can do it but failed today and I’m not sure what changed. I’ve got a grid that collects data from forms that are submitted from people. I’ve also got another grid that already has a list of all the people the form is sent to. After they submit the form the data appears on the grid the form was made for, however I also want it to update the other grid with their answers (so I can see who hasn’t submitted the form and have a record of each day). I need it to recognize who is submitting the form from their name and find them on the other grid then add their answers to that grid in the correct columns.

I have a to-do list created in Airtable. Each record is an assignment for someone on the team and fields includes things like priority (high, low), status (in progress, complete), who it’s assigned to, etc. One field is a deadline and I would like that deadline to automatically be entered into an Outlook Calendar when a new Airtable record is created or edited. I created an automation, but it’s not working properly. The trigger is “when a record is created”. The Action is “Outlook Calendar - Create Event”. Hi! I’m trying to automate the sending of our reminders to our partners. I’ve chosen the ‘email digest’ automation. There are different frequencies (daily, once a week, twice a week, and thrice a week) based on the preferences of our partners. Therefore, the trigger is “at a scheduled time”. The next action is to find records and the last is to send an email via Gmail. Is it possible to send the email individually instead of in a list? Their names should be addressed in the mail. Is there some formula that can send out multiple emails addressed to each one of the recipients? Thank you!
