Hey Everyone, As someone who was previously using a lot of Airtable to Airtable automation through Zapier I jumped on the new built in Airtable Automation features. However I’m now having issues where I can’t create any new automations due to exceeding the maximum number of automations for the base. I can’t find any information on what the maximum amount actually is or if there is an option to increase this. I love this feature but I’m now at a dead end where I can’t use it further, I can’t see how to increase my usage and I can’t see how much this has been exceeded by. Any help from the community or from the Airtable team is greatly appreciated.

Hi Airtable product team! Is there any way to get more automations per Airtable base? We’re a small but growing company that runs our entire Customer Success and Project Management teams on Airtable. We use the automations to ping the right folks (different Customer Success folks) on Slack as a project moves through different stages, and we just hit our max of 25 automations per Airtable base. We would love to stick to Airtable (we love it so much), but if we can’t have more automations tied to it, we’ll have to figure out other tools as we scale. Help!

Hello - We currently use Airtable for our content production processes. Right now, when a user submits a request to our intake form, it generates a record on the base, creates a Jira ticket, and sends a confirmation message to a shared slack channel, that links the Jira ticket and adds the Jira URL to the Airtable record. It works great, and as we try to move people to an easier process, we want to continue to use that Slack message to communicate cross functionally about the specific request. However, I am wondering if there’s a way to link that slack message to the airtable base somehow via automation? It would likely be the last step in the automation to update the record with the thread link. Is this possible? If so, has anyone accomplished this or know how you might?

Hi I have a table containing member IDs and credits allocated, which I want to periodically summarise and distribute to a staff member. The table will have the member IDs duplicated across multiple days, with different credit values, which I wish to sum, resulting in: A. Smith 23 B. Jones 12 C. Young 75 I can create this output with a pivot table, but I need to be able to distribute it to a staff member automatically, without their access. I could send regular email/slack outputs but cannot get the summarise to work (perhaps with scripting). Any suggestons? Thanks

Hi airtable community! We teach classes and utilize Airtable as our class schedule. I am attempting to create a new table that sums the number of attendees for each class by the class type and date/time. We currently have an attendees table which contains the individual reservations and another table called class totals which contains a record for each event. I am able to achieve a total by using a rollup field with Sum(values). Is there a way to use automations to link these records automatically? I utilized the “Link Records by Field” app to do the initial linking but it would make a lot more sense if it was an automation.

Hi. I need an Automation that adds a file to a multi attachment field while a file is uploaded to a different attachment field in the same record. Does anybody knows if this is possible?

I saw a few articles here where people are just sending the airtable record ID in the webhook URL when a specific trigger is met. I’m trying to do the same thing but I want to send the data to Okta Workflows. I currently have the following script: let inputConfig = input.config(); let recordId = inputConfig.recordId; let url = “OKTA_WORKFLOWS_API_ENDPOINT_URL” let request = url.concat(’?recordId=’,recordId); await fetch(request); My trigger is set so that when there’s an update in a specific field, the script should be ran. The trigger seems to be working according to the Airtable automation logs but I’m not seeing anything on the Okta side. Has anyone gotten this to work? I have an input variable created in my automation with the name “recordId”. EDIT: Actually realized i forgot a ; on my url line. Anyway, i see the trigger making it to Okta but i don’t see the recordId going over so curious how I can send data in the script if I just wanted to send specific fields.

Hey all, I am struggling to find what I’m looking for, and hoping someone might jump to the rescue. :slightly_smiling_face: I’m making a to-do list using a Kanban view and would like to limit the amount of active tasks or “in progress” tasks to a fixed number, I would ideally like to run an automation to detect when something leaves “in progress” into the “completed” or “deferred”/“rejected” status and take a new task from the “to-do” tasks. However, I cannot think of how to solve this using the options available in the automation. Has anyone dealt with this? I’m thinking of having a counting row in the table that the automation checks for when selecting which row to add next, although I’m not sure that’s the most elegant/smart option. In summary: I would like to limit the number of rows that have a particular status to a fixed number, I cannot manually add more to that status unless another leaves that status, and if the number is below the fixed number; the automation will sel

Hi helpful people, I have a list of voucher codes. When someone fills out a form requesting a code, I’d like to update their record with the first unused code on my list. I’m stuck on how to update an existing record with a value from another table. Could someone help me with that part, please?

Anyone know what does this mean: Microsoft reported an error while processing this action: Resource could not be discovered. I have linked my outlook to airtable successfully. Create Automation to send email when certain conditions apply but I am getting this error when I test the Automation. Has anyone experienced the same issue before? I know Automation works because if I choose Airtable “send email”, I can send, and receive emails, but it doesn’t work from Outlook

Hello, I have a table A of 100’s lines with the name of different projects and their status. I am updating it on a daily basis, sometimes several times a day. I would like to create a table B which summarize the changes that happened in the table A during the past week. I did succeed to create a table B which create a line with the project name and its new status every time the status changes in the table A. However since I may change the status several times a day, I would like to create an automation which edit the previous line if the project name already exist in the table B. The goal is to avoid having 10’s entries and line for the same project. Could you help me out ? :slightly_smiling_face: Thanks a lot !

I have created an automation that runs a custom script after a record is updated. In the script I would like to perform different operations depending on the overwritten values. Is there any way to access those values from the script? (Similar to how one would use OLD in a SQL trigger).

I have my new members sign up for the clubcard and I want to have the ability to send sms/ call from my phone without having to re-enter the contact in my phone. So Airtable form will collect the data and convert it to vcard which I can import it later on. Pls advice

Is there any explanation for why making changes to automations does not always reflect instantly in the table? I have one automation that builds a grid using data in a table and attaches it to a field within the same table (as a roundabout way of attaching this info to a pdf further down the line). When I need to troubleshoot/update this automation, It takes quite a while before I’m able to see the changes I’ve made in the grid I’m building. sometimes it will display as it did before I made the change, other times it will display as completely empty (the grid having headers but no data to display). Would really appreciate a way of ensuring that my change is in place immediately after clicking update automation, or at least a rough approximation of how long it normally takes to go into effect.

I was looking for best practices on how to automation a form and I was not sure if I should be looking a different plug-ins. I am leaving towards using Make help out with this process. The more I dig into this with AirTable, if looks overly complicated, I am wondering if there is a better tool to use. On the form I need the following: Ability to upload attachments (images or pdf) Digital Sign or email approve the form a way for the end user to be able to modify the form create a PDF of the form and include the attachments. Then, I want to email the form for approval to 4 different people via email. If a form is denied, then give the ability for the end user to be able to update the form.

I have built an automation that fires off an email to a key stake holder with information found in different fields. One of these fields contains a link. When the automation fires, the email is sent along with a slack notification. The slack notifaction contains the same information the email should, BUT the link in the email is altered by the automation and the link in the slack message seemingly works. The automation is grabbing the same URL from the same field. I am not sure why the URL is changes in the email but not the slack message. To add additional information, the email is removing the under-scores from the URL and the Slack message is not. Can anyone help?

I have a script to trigger a netlify build at midnight every day, but I would like to customize it further to only trigger if a new form was submitted that day. So the trigger would look something like: If form is submitted in either Table 1 or Table 2, then trigger script to run the build hook at midnight. Or if this trigger doesn’t exist, maybe I can house the build hook in an if statement within the script. Trigger every day at midnight: if a new form was submitted, run build hook? Thank you!

Hi! I’m building out a base where I have tables for different types of contacts (lets call them blue contacts, red contacts and green contacts), they all feed into a larger table where I can see all of them (rainbow contacts list) - I have set up automations to automatically create a new record in the rainbow contacts sheet when a new record is created in any of the other tables. So I put Joe Bloggs into green contacts and he automatically appears in the rainbow list. I want to setup an automation so that if I update the Joe Bloggs record in green contacts, it automatically updates in the rainbow list. Can anyone help. I have tried setting up an automation, it watches all the fields in the green contacts and then I tried update record in rainbow list - I’ve tried a few combinations of things and can’t get it to update in the rainbow list - does anyone have any advice? Do I need to find a record first?

Have been trying to get the subject line on the “At a scheduled time” trigger to say the end of the week in ‘Mmm DD, YYYY’ format but haven’t found any way to do that. Tried instead make a field that displays the end of the week, but the automation cannot add that field on to the subject line. If anyone else has suggestions, would love to know! On another note, here is the formula I made for the end of the week field, in case it helps anyone! Dear Community Member, We have a simple form in Airtable. We want to send the form input to third party app using POST API with basic authentication. Is it possible to do this operation? Can someone has dummy code to pass basic authorisation then please share or suggest how to pass the authorisation details.

Trigger Conditions: When Date Field (“Date Last Used”) is after 12/31/2019 Action Conditions: Update existing checkbox field (“Reviewed 2020”) to Checked Trigger seems to work fine, I just can’t get the action to go. I think it’s because I’m not exactly sure what to input for Record ID. Thanks in advance!
