Automations

I have a automated email that goes out to a group of non-collaborators when a form is filled out.  The emails contain an inserted grid with designated information from that form including any attachments that were submitted.  These attachments are, however, not viewable by the non-collaborators.  Share and sync is turned on.  Is there a setting I am missing?  Is it not possible for non-collaborators to view the attachments?  Is there a workaround that doesn't involve giving the non-collaborators access to the base?Thanks for the help!

I'm trying to create a weekly digest of invoices submitted in the past week. The idea is that people submit invoices via an Airtable form, then the automation sends a message to a Slack channel and a person in that channel presses a button shown in the Slack message once they've all been paid. Pressing that button then marks them all as 'Paid' in Airtable. I've gone through other similar threads about this and I'm not able to understand why I keep getting the 'Received invalid inputs' message. I'm quite certain that I've linked the correct Airtable record IDs (i.e. the ones found in the intermediate Find Records step). See screenshots, but any help would be much appreciated!

I have a table of pricing data for products. It has several hundred products.  Without too much modification to that table and its data, I want to add a field with a checkbox so that if Check/Uncheck it will Copy or Remove the data to another table.  On this other table, there will be additional fields added.  Really a newbie to Automations but I started with the Trigger when the Checkbox is updated and that seems right, but I can't seem to figure out the Action part.  Would that be an if/else statement?

Hi allI am using the Make.com modules to create a scenario where an address input into AT triggers an automation that generates a google maps link with transit options for travel from A to B.My question is if I can enhance this to provide me with a string of text for the directions, e.g., "Take Bus 83 to X and then walk 8 minutes to Y" Many thanks ! 

Hello everybody, i have a problem with an automation, it worked for more than a year without problems, but now it stopped to working giving me this error: attachment url is disallowed. I specify that nothing has been changed in the trigger, nor in the file to be attached (it is the same pdf format), the trigger starts when it finds the conditions inserted (and this passes) but when the email is sent it fails. Can you help me solve? Thank you

How do I automate that a record gets created/populated when certain conditions are met. For example, When the value of Food is 'apple', and the Color is 'green', Attitude is 'happy'. Thanks for your help. 

I want to use AirTable so that users can login and access their test results and marks. You could call it a dashboard or customer portal site. So, one user’s results can’t be seen by another, this is why I need login or user accounts. I will be using AirTable forms (maybe Typeform) and AirTable sheets to enter the user’s test results. I have looked at various third party sites that build websites using AirTable data. However, I am not sure if they will be able to do what I need to do. I found one that looks like it could softr.io - but it is very expensive in my opinion. I know I could use a dedicated Dashboard or portal software like SuiteDash, but I am trying to automate as much as possible. I already have a SuiteDash account. I am happy to spend some money on a paid SaaS product. Does anyone have any suggestions or possible solutions? Thank you.

Apologies for the confusing title. To not confuse things further, I'll minimise the story/context. I'm developing a crop planning and record keeping system for our farm.For this issue, I have 3 tables in question. 1) Crops (basic info about all our crops)2) Crop Plan (for planning)3) Field (what actually happens in the field, as plans are never followed 100%).More than one Crop is added to the crop plan via a linked record. An automation creates a record for each crop with a "planned" status in Field. The planning info and dates are dynamically updated between tables. So there are two linked records in the Crop Plan table - Crop and Field. The Field table also have a linked record to Crops. This is automatically filled when the Crop field in the Crop Planner is filled.So if you add the crop "Beetroot" and "Radish" to the crop plan table to plant on 01/01/24, 1 record is created in t

Hi everyone,I have an automation that runs a script which sends a recordID to a Make webhook.Every now and then the automation fails because Airtable sets the script execution limit to 30 seconds. That makes me think that the problem is because of Make, in that the processing in Make takes longer so in return Airtable exceeds the execution time.Has anyone else experienced this issue? I have a "Send an email" automation set up with the trigger "when {{Date field}} is one week from now."It's working great, except the emails are going out just after midnight. I'd prefer them to go around 9am. I have added a time to my date field, but that does not seem to work. Any advice?    

Many times we wish to have a single select or multi select field automatically choose an output based on other fields. Automations are useful for this, but are limited and become convoluted as a separate module, especially when you have many of these use cases in one table.It would be very useful to have a single select or multi select field with an inbuilt formula box, where the select output could be determined by the formula. You could then introduce another option to lock formula mapping (ie no ability to edit), or freeze mapping, where an Auto value output would generate unless the field was manually overwritten.The workaround at present is to create three Fields, 1 select field for manual input, 1 formula field for automated input and one last official formula field to take the most relevant of the two previous outputs. This generates clunky database design, similar to when there was no today() function.

(One table gets data from Stripe if the student is able to pay anything. Another table shows teacher comments about the student from the prior year.)In the past, we set up links between the tables. Then, for each student, we manually linked the individual records and had "lookup" fields for the fee & comments in the main Student table. But we had 750 learners register with us last year!How can we automate this? I'm thinking that an automation would need to:1. Hello everyone,I currently have two tables, one for Plants (industrial power/chemical plants) and one for Events (scheduled maintenance outages). Each Plant has a unique Plant ID that is also listed on each Event with multiple Events for each Plant. Is there a way to automatically link each Event to its respective Plant based on matching the Plant ID in each record? In other words, is there an automation that exists or can be created that looks at the Plant ID on the record in the Plant table and the Event table, recognizes that field as identical on both, then links the two records? Thank you!KCVellichor

Hi,I have a field with created dates. I would like to be able to create a chart that shows this data, grouping by the month of the created date. However I want the year to be irrelevant. For example, March 2024 and March 2022 to be shown in the same group within the chart.I have created a new field with a formula to show the month only which works perfectly. But then when I create a chart on the interface, they are in alphabetical order and not date order which is not want we want.Can't think of a way to make the chart display the months in date order, or another way for this all to work. Any help is appreciated!

Has anyone noticed changes in how automations are functioning? I used to be able to update linked record fields with record IDs from previous steps, but now they all come out as comma-separated strings. See attached pics:  

Hello community,I'm trying to make use of an automated email that inserts a file name and a google drive url every time a document with a particular naming convention is added to my google drive.  I generate the airtable record using a make.com integration, and then the email fires in the native airtable "Gmail:send email" function.  (I suppose I could try to take this automation to make.com instead, but I'm hoping my use case is simple enough that I can just keep it in airtable for now).The problem I am coming across is that my file names have underscores in them, and my google drive URLs sometimes have characters that seem to cut off the complete URL.What happens when the file name has _filename_ in it, is that airtable removes the underscores and turns filename into italics.  I've tried using the "escape markdown" tag (see here: https://support.airtable.com/docs/using-markdown-in-airtable), but it's not working for the "List of 'File Name'" result that gets

Hi, Table A, B, and C. Table B fields are linked with Table A and Table C. I'm trying to run automation. Whenever a new record is added, I will filter the records from Table A and Table C based on the condition. Then I need to create a record in Table B by linking the data from Table A and Table C. Now I can filter the records from Table A and Table C using the Find Records action. but not able to run a nested repeating loop. I can do only one repeating loop.

Hi there,I have 2 tables in the same base, one for adding data and one for report.I want to create a new record in the "report" table every time I add a new row to my "data" table with an automation.BUT I don't want to have a duplicate records. I want to check if the text in the "Name" column in my "data" table matches "Name" column in the "report" table.(if they match - do nothing)I try to do it with "Find records" but I don't quite familiar with it.What is the best way to do it?Thank you.
