I want to send an automatic email, but unfortunately I get an error message every time I test the automation.although the correct data field was selected and an email address was also stored. That used to always work but suddenly it doesn't work anymore
Hi there,I was able to successful write and run a script for a basic "like" button on a table where team members can sort of upvote a table item. The problem is it does not refresh on the interface for a long time and does not give any haptic feedback to the user - not a good experience at all and very easy to find yourself hitting the button multiple times.Is there a way to get the value to load more quickly on the page? Like a field refresh trigger or interface refresh action? //Read var record = input.config().getLikes; //console.log(record); //math var newLikes = Number(1 + record); //console.log(newLikes); //update output.set('likes', newLikes);
Hello,I would appreciate if someone could help me.In the attendees column, I can link multiple names in one record.I want to create an automation that allows me to create a record in another table whenever a name is added in the attendees. I tried doing it using the automation in airtable: whenever a record is updated in the attendees a record is created in another table with the name of each person. But the problem is all the names are being shown in that table. So, how can I create an automation where I can have the name of each person in one record.
How do you write data separately to all the records you find when you automatically find multiple records?the follow example find 2 records, then the next action step run fail, what can I do so that the updated action is written to each of the two records found?
So I've been developing an Airtable base for months to track & log operations. Since there are so many moving parts, creating google calendar invites are a must for the employees who will be a part of the operations. I've been reaching an error with the Google Calendar automation to create events, which I will show in a screenshot. I cannot seem to find what the limits are to find a workaround, some days I can only generate less than 10, other days I can generate around 50. It is never consistent, and I've been trying to find resources to figure this out - but I have not yet. If anybody has any workarounds, or knows the usage limits, that would save me so much trouble. I don't want to use any third party automation software, I would like to keep everything in Airtable Automations.
Hi there!I have been trying to get an automation to look at a view in Airtable and list up all the records with their hyperlink in a Slack message every Wednesday. The outcome would be something like:´Here's a few entries you can pick from:SW-0001 (hyperlink to record)SW-0002 (hyperlink to record)SW-003 (hyperlink to record)I have tried running a code but the list won't show (added images what I got for reference).Does anyone have any idea how to solve this?
I would like to insert a link in my automated email to an interface page that I've just created and published. But it doesn't show up in the "Use data form..." popup - see screenshot?
I have a table of 100 members of our makerspace. There's a ROLE field that is multiselect that has Lead, Board Member, Officer, etc. 9 of the members of the "Member" table have "Board Member" and I have a subsequent view called "Board Members" that filters to show all board members (and that have an active status).I want to have an automation on another table (Applications) that would send a gmail to each of the 9 members in the "Board Members" view/grid. Does anyone have an example of this? FWIW, I want to include a url of a fillout form including the RECORD_ID() of the application record as well as a parameter of the email address to pre-fill the board members identifying information so when they approve/comment on the form we can identify the source board member. Thanks in advanceJeffPS: I know that on the free plan there are limits on sendmail to non-airtable emails, but that gmail might work instead.
I'm working on a tracking system for a coral restoration project. To report coral bleaching to my Bleaching Report table, a user selects a date and all structures where bleaching was observed (linked to my Structures table) like so:Bleaching Report table:I would like to add a new record for each structure along with the corresponding date to a different table, like so:Structure Bleaching table:I tried setting up an automation which triggers when a new record is created in Bleaching Report to create a new record in Structure Bleaching for every linked item in the Structures field, but it seems only 1 record is being created even when there are multiple structures linked in the field. Here is my automation setup:The "ID" is selected from the Current item. In the test data for "Repeat for each in Structures", the Input List is returning all the correct structures so I can't figure out why it doesn't iterate over all of them. The record that gets added is correct, but it seems to only add
I am attempting to create an automation when a record is created in a specific table that will see if that record exists in another table and if it does, update the record that was just created with a date out of the other record. I'm not sure at what point the automation is suppose to run for the new record being created, but it seems as though it is running too soon and not waiting for the piece of data it will use to look up the record in the other table. I hope that makes sense. If anyone has any ideas, i would appreciate it.
Hi. I've searched for a solution for this, but no luck (yet). I tried THIS but it didn't do what I needed. In the referenced example it had a single action for each task, which assumed a fixed list, and my source will vary.I have 3 tables:Application (record trigger)Board Members (grid view of filtered table "Members") currently 9 records in view.Member Approvals (goal is to create 9 records, 1 for each board member and has application data. When an application record is created, it should trigger the "find records" on the board member view and create a record for each board member and include all the application data in it. However, when I do this, it wants to create a single record and a comma delimited list of the board member data. Do I need to do a different approach?
ciao,i'm having an issue which seems rather crude to me but i can neither work it out, nor find exactly relatable posts on here:i'm having a sales base for artworks, in which there is a field that links to a client-record from another base (contacts base which includes clients as well as artists). this i add manually when i set up a new sales-record. there is a second field which links to the artist of the sold work, which i of course also add manually.now i'd like for the link to go both ways, so that in the contacts base there is a field that automatically shows all the artists of who they've bought works in a clients record drawn from the sales base as well as a field that shows in an artists record, which clients have bought works by them.i hope i'm not being super redundant here, thanks heaps!
Hello Airtable Community, We have an Airtable list with our internal communications. Now we have some communications that take place at regular intervals (X weeks).I just can't manage to build an automation that creates a new record for each of them. For example, every 14 days for the next year a record with start, end date & name. Any ideas on how to do this? Many thanks and best regardsMirko
If a record created in Openings Tracker (table A) is created, then I want to add that record to the linked record field in Summary Tracker based on the fields Opening Distinction and Req Status. The linked record field is pulling the openings record from Table A based on manual addition right now. If the record is created in Openings Tracker, I want it to automatically add to the total number of openings for that Opening Type in the Summary Tracker (table B).
Hi everyone!I'm trying to set up an automation which is triggered every time I receive an email with a particular subject line. I want it to follow a workflow where Airtable parses through an excel report in the email, extracts the data from the file, and appends it to a pre existing table.Attached below is a screenshot of what I was trying to do, but I don't see any options to extract data from an attachment. Can someone please advise on how I can do this?TIA!
Hello fine people! Here's what I have and am trying to do... any help would be greatly appreciated!!Customers order a product from us and can choose a recurring subscription - either once a month, three months, bi-annual, or annual. What I'd like to do is have an automation of some sort that would recreate this record so I can add a calendar and have those records show up in the calendar based on the next shipment, creating a new record in my "New Orders" table.Thoughts?
Hi,I use a formula field to build a URL to prepopulate a Fillout form, and I send the link via an automation -> Gmail send. The formula looks like this:"https://user.fillout.com/t/random?email="{email&"&name="&name&"&id="&RECORD_ID() When sent out in a mail this becomes a clickable URL. I would however like to have as a "friendly name" clickable link instead. This I know can be done with the [Click here!](https://domain.com) syntax, but I can't figure out how to work that into the formula. Anyone know how to do this? Rgds, Björn
Hey all, so I am trying to create an automation to send over a slack message everytime there is a new record, but for some reason it is not showing the tagger suer properly.I have a table with all the users D05XXXXXXI tried with just the following formats @D05XXXXXX, <D05XXXXXX>, <@D05XXXXXX>.And none of the seem to work. Any ideas what may I be doing wrong in here?
I have created a ticket system and have now created an automation that should change a status after 2 days. Unfortunately it doesn't work. I have a date field that contains the date of creation and a condition that if the date is 2 days ago, the status should be changed to "2 days old".
Hello, I set up an automation to check a record within a certain timeframe from the job date, and if the record field was not up to date, then an email would be sent to the two people in charge of that data entry. It is basically:If the job date is 7 days from now, and the field X is showing Y, then send an email to Bob and Jim that says "enter this data". I have attached screenshots of the set up. I can't work out what I have done to make it think it must send the same email 500 times. Any help appreciated. I am new to automations
I have an automation I am trying to create to loop through days in a record. Basically the record I get includes the start and end date of a time period. I would like to loop through from the first day to the last day and create a day record for each date. Something like:StartDate = 09-28-2024EndDate = 10-01-2024The loop would create dates in my Dates table for 09-28-2024, 09-29-2024, 09-30-2024, and 10-01-2024. I've figured out how to do this in a script however my current plan does not allow for script execution so I'm wondering if there's a way to do this outside of a script. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Hi there, I'm pretty new to Airtable so forgive me if the answer is straightforward. I'm trying to set up the following automation: When an entry in table B has Field A = X and Field B = Y then update Table A, Record Z, in Field "Dernier numéro de facture" by changing its value to {Dernier numéro de facture} + 1 (so incrementing its value by 1) What should I enter in the Field highlighted in the image attached? I tried {Dernier numéro de facture} + 1 but it outputs a "Could Not parse number" error although last invoice number field is a # Number. Thanks!
Hi y'all,I'm trying to build an airtable base for a concert promoter. In one table (Current Shows), I have the shows they are working on, as well as fields for all the info attached (ex. artist, venue, show date). In another table (Ticket Links), I have a form for their ticketing team to add ticket links. I've built the form so it asks for the artist, venue, show date, and ticket link and it pulls from all existing artist and venues that the promoter works with, so none of the inputs are manually added (except the show date). I'm working on an automation that ideally says: whenever a ticket link form is submitted, find the record in the current shows where artist, venue, and show date match. Then, input the ticket link. Below are the steps I've taken. The automation runs successfully when I hit "Test automation" or "Run as configured" but fails to run on my Update Record step, giving me the error "Received invalid inputs".Trigger: When a record matches conditions:When, i
I insert one field from a query as a Grid in an e-mail using Automations. This results in a single column listing the retrieved records which is what I want. However, the column only goes about 1/3 of the way across the e-mail. I'd like it to go all the way across but I can't find any way to set the width of the column. Is there a direct way (via a setting) or a workaround that would make his possible? When I try using List instead of Grid, I get too much space between lines.
I have a record that triggers the creation of up to 3 records. It may need to create any combination of those 3 (which is 7 possible combinations), which is proving convoluted with the options I know of with the automation options.1) Have 3 different automations with the same trigger for each of the 3 records that might need to be created - i.e. automation 1 creates record a (if required), automation 2 creates record b (if required), automation 3 creates record c (if required). 2) Create 1 automation with the 7 different combinations as conditional actions. This is the set up I have now.Option 1 is wasteful of automation runs and automation spaces for our plan.Option 2 is convoluted and time consuming to set up. It seems like there should be a more elegant way to do this? I'd like to know for future automations I may need to create, especially if they get more complex (each extra possible record to be created very quickly makes huge amounts of possible combinations).Ideally,
