Automations

I have an automation that sends out a digest of all overdue tasks to my team on a twice-weekly basis. This has worked out great for the past 6 months or so, but now names are not appearing in the "assigned to" field. I've tested out all steps of this automation and user names appear correctly at the "find records" test phase, but when populating into the grid below w/in the email, it shows up blank (see below screenshot). Anyone have any ideas about what's going on?I guess one work around is that individuals each get an email that only shows tasks assigned to them but that's not great either since we like to have team visibility across tasks. 

We are using a base as template, which has some automations. I’ve noticed that when the base is duplicated all the automations become disabled. Is there a way to enable all automations on base duplication?

Hi everyone,We have many automations that send an email to a member of staff when the automation is triggered.  That member of staff has left and I now want all of those automations to go to another  member of staff.  Is there a way that I can search through all the automations to find every instance of that email address being used so I can then manually (or automatically) update the email address with the new name?I've searched around and I haven't been able to find a way to do this without going into every automation individually... Thanks 😄

Hi Everyone, I currently have 2 tables ("Lesson Tracker" & Student Record").What the lesson tracker does is that each new entry is basically a record of the student's name and the date of the lesson they attended.The student record table is essentially a database of the students, with their name, contact info, as well as a column counting how many lessons they have attended in total.What I would like is:1. Every time there is a new entry on the lesson tracker, an automation runs which first matches the student name on the new entry to the corresponding student row on the student record table.3. Once this matches, a lesson is added to the number of lessons column. Eg. If the student already attended 3 lessons, then this new entry would turn 3 into 4.The ideal scenario is this: "Sam Smith

I am using Airtable as the backend for my app. I have a Table A for registering users and a Table B for registering restaurants. Through the Google Matrix Distance API, I am using longitude and latitude data to calculate the distance between registered restaurants and user data, obtaining the results in the "distance" column of Table B where the restaurants are registered.However, each automation I run through the script only updates for new users registering, causing interference with the distance results for users already registered. I would like each user to have their own distance calculation without interfering with others. I have no idea how to do this! I believe it might involve a filter or something like user ID .

Hello,I'm building an app and would like help solving an issue. I have a Table A where I register my users. Table B contains the restaurants in my app. I use a Google Maps API to calculate the distance between my users and the restaurants. I'm running an automation script block to update the distance calculation each time a new user enters. However, I want an automation where each user has their own calculation from their location to the restaurant. Any ideas on how to achieve this?

Hello Airtable Friends!I really need some help with my automation.I created an automation for when a record is updated for our team. Basically what I did is when an assignee is changed to another assignee, that new assignee would get an Outlook email saying that the record was reassigned to them.When I go to test it, I get an alert from Airtable saying something went wrong with the automation but it doesn't show me what the exact issue is. I am wondering if its Outlook but I am not sure.Can someone help me out? 

Hi,Ive created a project management workflow where we have a project board that filters into a task board, and tasks are assigned to individuals who check a "complete" box when done. We have a dashboard for each individual where their tasks appear. Because the tasks need to be completed in a certain order (ie "edits" need to happen before "production") and we have different people executing on different parts of the project, it can be hard to know when its your turn with the project. The project manager typically assigns all the tasks out at once so all tasks associated with the project appear on the individuals dashboard simultaneously. Ideally we would only want the project to appear on the persons dash if it was their turn with the project. The tasks are already numbered for order so hypothetically it would be easy to automate one following another. Hi everyone!I am currently working with two tables (let's refer to them as A and B), wherein table B is synced to table A.My objective is to deduplicate table A, but before doing so, I need to merge the information that is not synced in table B to prevent any data loss (essentially deduping without the deletion part).Is there a method to achieve this?I was contemplating using a script to handle the merge process, but I'm unsure if there's a way to identify whether a field in table B is synced or not.Any insights or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!Thank you in advance.

Hello! I am looking for some help with correcting this script (I had Copilot AI help write it) for Airtable. I'd like for the  automation to tick a checkbox "Fully Live" in the table "App Status" when a button is pushed in a specific interface.I'll attached screenshots of the script error, the table we'd like to have updated and the script itself. Any help would be greatly appreciated!I am not married to having to use the button in the interface to initiate the automation. I have another table called Monthly RTLs where the button could be added. I am having a hard time with an automation for updated record. Right now my Assignee field allows for multiple collaborators on our team to share records. Sometimes a record will need to change from the original assignee and be reassigned to another collaborator(assignee). What I need is for Outlook to send an email to the person that the record has been reassigned to. I keep trying to address it but keep getting notified by Airtable that the automation didn't work (Failed to construct the value for "To").The “assignee field” is called Agent Lead Owner. Outlook® is already integrated.I have attached an image for reference. Hello,We have a built a complex database for a processing facility, over the past 10 months. As of today, we have about 35 automations running (at various frequencies) and the main base will soon reach 100k entities out of 125k.Until Friday, there haven't been any slowdowns or any load issues. There are 3-4 automations that are running once every few minutes especially during 9am - 6pm. We have a steady 10k entities/month increase rate. And no development has happened since Friday.On Saturday it was reported that the platform started to slow down and entities generated through automations are starting to take minutes to appear.This morning, the automations runs are no longer taking <1 minute to finalize, we are looking at over 30 minutes runs. The queue of runs is chaotic, runs that started later are completed sooner that previous runs and the entire base is full of errors because of this.The company is facing serious penal

Hi, I have a list of tasks I want to set a weekly automation for. .(Weekly, daily, monthly, 3 times per week , twice a month)

I am looking to find any way to automate and control the license levels that exist for our users in Airtable.  Currently, a builder in Airtable can promote users to builders, and collaborators.  This obviously can cause licensing headaches, and administrative headaches.Has anyone found a way to control or run audits via any type of automation to get a handle on licensing changes?  I understand this might be the opposite of what Airtable wants, which is to keep free and open collaboration, but that's not reasonable for businesses trying to control costs.Thanks in advance!

Hi, I need help. I have an automation that is triggered at a scheduled time and the action finds records based on a view of my grid. The grid is displaying all of the correct fields. Yesterday this automation stopped showing fields that are multiple select but show all other fields. I retested the trigger and action without any errors, and I hid and unhid these multiple select fields and turned the automation off and on. Not sure what else to do to get the multiple select fields to display on the automation as they used to.

Hello, I need help figuring out what I am doing wrong. In the main table, I track daily work, and in the other table, I track inventory. There is created a link record from the main table to the inventory table. From the main table, I am selecting the available items for sale. What I would like the automation to do is find the records that I have assigned and copy the quote number from my main table to the inventory table. I know I can do a lookup the problem is that I have too many records that would have to backlog. Here is what I am trying to accomplish with the automation, but it keeps failing. After I update that Quote Number field and select the items from the inventory table, I am triggering the automation from the checkbox field. Main table view:

Hi, I'm sure this question has already been asked but still can't find an easy answer. It seems as though it should be quite simple but I can't wrap my head around it.As per the screenshot, I would like to automatically combine Linked Record entries from multiple fields into 1 field. The 1 combined field needs to keep this data as Linked Records, and not as formula text.The  Linked Records are from another Table in the same base.So basically, if this automation or formula was setup properly - the "ALL COMPLETED PROJECTS" field would contain 3 Linked Records: "Pen", "Pal" and "Pol".Is this possible?

Not sure if this would be a roll up field, script, or automation but I am trying to combine multiple linked record fields into one linked record field automatically. For example: One record has multiple linked fields “Assignment 1”, “Assignment 2”, “Assignment 3”, ect. and I want them to all be shown in an “All Assignments” linked field automatically. I have a Purchase Order table and an Expenses table that when records are created and automation pulls the records into the Budgets MASTER LIST using roll up and look up fields. Each Budget is allocated to a department (Autism Liaison, Events, IT & Comms etc etc ) so the Primary field for Budgets MASTER LIST is a forumula using IF to pull in the lookup Budget ID from each entry so I can group the entries by Budget ID. (hope this makes sense so far).I also have another table that lists all Budget Categories (called Annual Budgets) that contains the annual budget amount and on this table I need to show running balance - remaining budget etc etc (don't worry about that I have already set that up), BUT it relys on having the linked field in the Budgets MASTER LIST to do this.So, all I need is each time a new record is created in Budgets MASTER LIST, rather than me having to manually select the linked field 'Annual Budets' and select the budget related to it, is th

We are an Enterprise user and heavily dependent on Airtable Automations working.On Monday, Airtable automations had an unreported outage and performance issue spanning over 12 hours that went unreported on status.airtable.com.Support made us aware of a fix after 12 hours.Now, 2 days later, automations are now failing again and pending.This is unacceptable to Enterprise users and we expect issues like this to be resolved within an hour at the latest.  This is a commercial solution, and our entire business operation is at a standstill due to this.We have used only 20% of our automation runs budget allocation, and these performance issues are unacceptable.
