Hi,I've created an inventory and order system using airtable but I'm being held back from having airtable calculate my order cost using a roll up. We sell some products with a special offer, for example, a hoodie normally costs £30 but if you buy two it costs £50. Another example, a pin badge costs £4 but you can buy three for £10. I thought this would be really simple to implement but can't seem to work out a way around it and I'm not clued up on writing formulas.Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

I made an automation to create reminders in my Google Cal. They’re all-day events, which by default don’t show you as busy, but when they’re made through Airtable they’re ticked to show as busy. I couldn’t find a field to change this in my automation. Can I make it so my all-day events made from automation don’t show as busy?

I have read a ton of guides and I cannot figure this out! I'm trying to add a button to an email automation that links to an external URL.I created a Button form field (with URL) to table data and added it to the email automation. But when I generate a preview, the button isn't there it's just the label! (See screenshots)What am I doing wrong? (Please and THANK YOU)

I'm running into race conditions some report summaries automations, and am wondering if anyone has come up with a better solution than I have in placeI have a table that is automatically updated when a user adds values from a csv report. I need to summarize that report with an automation. I have a multi-step automation that does the followingTriggers when a record enters a viewChecks to see if the date of the report is already listed in my summary table with a "Find Records" stepIf "Find Records" length is 0, it runs a few scripts to do math on the raw data enteredHowever, I've found that the automation runs for all records in the view simultaneously, rather than one at a time, so I'm running into race conditions where multiple lines are created for the same report. I know there are other solutions such as running the automation from a button click or at a scheduled time, but those are not options for me at this point. Any advice?

Is there a way to share a script between a record-create automation and a record-update automation?

I have two tables in a base named Appointments and Revenue. I use Zapier to send appointments and transactions from my CRM to Airtable. The appointment records include a Technician Name. The revenue transactions do not and cannot include a Technician Name. They both, however contain a Job # field.I'd like to create an automation that is triggered when a new revenue record is created. It would look into the appointment table to find the Job # that corresponds to the Job # in the revenue record and returns the Technician Name from the appointment record and populates a Technician Name field in the revenue record.Can anyone tell me how to do this (assuming it is possible)? Hi everyone!I use airtable to manage my business, a monthly subscription for football shirts, developed on woocommerce.After each order from my customers, an entry is created describing the order in question (customer size, address and all the information needed to prepare the order).The problem is that a customer who has a subscription for the year creates 12 independent entries for me, so I don't have the possibility of noting useful information and they remain on the customer in question, airtable and woocommerce don't consider the occurrence with this same customer.Ideally, I'd like Mr Smith, who has a subscription for the year, to have a "file" that updates automatically thanks to the occurrence of the surname + first name + address so that I can note down all the particular requests or wishes of my customers month after month, with feedback on each of his requests.Sorry for my horrible aglais, like a good Frenchman I use translation software

HI,Is there a way to trigger an automation an hour after a date time field is set? For example I have a field set to Feb 4 at 3:00 PM, and an hour after this time set i.e. at Feb 4 at 4:00 PM, I want an automation to be fired?

Hi,I am trying to automatically create or update records based on certain criteria from another table. It's to create invoice with line items. The process is the following:1. if a record's date field is today, create a record in table A.2. then find a record with the same client in the table invoice, 3. if not found, create a new client record in invoice table with a line item that is linked to the newly created record from table A.4. If find the client, then append the line item field with the new record from table A.The problem is that sometimes there are multiple records matched in the first step of the automation, then both try to update the line item field in the invoice table and the later automation run overwrites the previous run.I imagine there could be problem if no client found then two clients records would be created in the invoice table. I haven't encountered it in my testing yet.What's the recommended s

Hi everybody,Let's assume I have 3 tables:ToolsUsersRequests (= Audit Log)Users can create a request to get access to a certain tool. When the tool admin approves the request, the user is linked to the tool. That's fairly simple and already working.Now tool admins can also add ore remove users directly to their tools, by linking or unlinking them.In that case, I want to automatically create a record in the Requests table that contains the user and the tool that was either linked or unlinked, as that table serves also as my audit log. Any idea how I could solve that?

Hey everyone,So i created an automation that email to texts a group of individuals when certain criteria are met. This is a large list of people (sometimes over 100). This works flawlessly unless someone changes their carrier... or their phone number and I have to wait for the automation to fail to see which email to text address is incorrect.This is fine however it will not send to the remaining valid email addresses it just halts the whole automation. I'm hoping to still have the automation fully fire even if one of the email addresses is invalid. Is there anyway to do this or is this a limitation of validating email addresses before sending within airtable?

I have five tables, each with a list of contacts. I want to identify the contacts who appear on more than one table.  One setup is: When a contact appears in two or more tables, I want to add this contact to a new "cross-check" table. The new table will have a record with the name of the individual, and the tables this name appears in. This has proven to be really cumbersome to automate.I just need some simple setup that enables us to easily see who appears on more than one table, and flag when a new contact is added and that person is already on another table. Any creative ideas for this?Thank you in advance!

I have a Sales Pipeline base, and have set up an automation to run based on a change in deal stage (to "closed-won"). This creates a new record in my Master Customer List airtable. When I filter my Sales Pipeline base and then unfilter, the automation assumes that the unfiltered "closed-won" records are new and therefore should create new records in my Master Customer List airtable. This is causing issues with mass duplications. Is there a workaround for this? 

Hi there! I have a form that generates a single record that has multiple attachment fields. I am trying to find a way with either a script or an automation to pull all the different attachments together and print. (Maybe an automation trigger that collates all the attachments into a singular pdf and a prompt to print..?) Any suggestions? I read through some very sophisticated responses that @Jeremy_Oglesby  @JonathanBowen gave to @Matthew_Hilshor back in 2021 for a question titled "Moving Attachments"- do you guys have any ideas?

I have a pretty basic automation that when a record is updated, a separate record in another table is updated with information from the first record.My problem is, a lot of the fields (which are populated through a public form) are optional and so many are blank, and this causes the automation to fail. It seems really strange to me, as I assume this would be a very common occurrence and that Airtable automations have no way to deal with it?I would like my automation to run and for the populated fields to update, and for the fields that have no value in them to either be ignored or to update with a blank value (it really doesn't matter which). I have trawled the internet looking for this solution but can't find anything.Any ideas?

I'm trying to figure out a way to have some sort of pop-up window with filtered records based on certain criteria or simply just show a filtered main view.I've managed to create an automation based on a certain amount of days + a certain status. Works fine when I test the automation but I'm not entirely sure how I can show this within Airtable.The idea being that these customers are a priority so our sales guy needs to focus on this task first

Hello, I have a table with attendance records (which meeting participates complete via form), and each person chooses their 'team name." There's another field with "session" that is a dropdown (these are monthly meetings, so choices are November Monthly Meeting, December Monthly Meeting, January ..... it's a program that runs Oct - May, 8 months.)I have a Teams table and set a rollup field for each month that tells me how many attendance records their are, and restricted it to that one month. I did this for each month, so that will tell me how many people attended each month. However, besides the number I added another field for each month with a status. I am building an automation to turn the status to "attended" if the rollup field is not zero. I'd like to send an email to a user when a Linked field is updated, but ONLY send the new updates, not the entire contents of the field.I'm working on a job board. I want to email the organization that posted the job every time a new applicant applies to their posting.I have two Tables – Users and Job Postings. The two fields are linked so that each Job record shows the Users that have applied to the job, and each User record shows the Jobs they have applied to.It seems like I can only email the ENTIRE "Users" field to the job poster through the automations creator. Ideally, I would send a daily email to the job poster with only the NEW profiles that have applied to the job.Any help here is appreciated!

I have a base for which I wanted to create a daily email automation. - Trigger - every 1 day at 8am- Action (find records that have tasks (a field) with a status of TO DO. - Action (send an email)It looks like in the email that I am able to do attachments and either use data from the trigger (at a scheduled time) or action (find records). But when I click on Find Records....it will not let me choose anything...I either see invalid choice for input, cannot assign list of string to collection of complex types. It will not let me attach they actual data! Any help is appreciated.

Hello!I have practically no experience with Javascript and scripting but I am turning to the Run Script in my Airtable automation as a last resort.In my automation I am finding a list of schools and then using a repeating group to go through each school and find values where the school is in the schedule table. I am running a script in this repeating loop to get all the entries in the schedule where the input value is from the schools. I am doing this so I can then order these according to start date which Airtable doesn't let me do.You can see my automation in the attached screenshot.The script is below and it works but I keep get an error on schoolName (which you can see in my other attached screenshot) telling me: Property 'schoolName' does not exist on type '{}'.(2339) Can anyone help? I don't really know why I am getting this error?

Hi!I'm trying to populate new records based on existing data and I'd prefer not to create a new table. Is this possible via an automation? Here's the use case:1. We receive letters from prisons across the country. When we have not previously received a letter from that facility, a user submits a form with the new facility and selects a state value from a dropdown menu that matches their facility (ex: AK)2. Prison policies are the same across states (all prisons in Alaska have the same length restrictions, for example), so I want to avoid the form-submitter from having to do the research again.
