Hi Airtable community! New user here,I am working with three tables in Airtable: 'Families,' 'Codes,' and 'Vases.' Each family in the 'Families' table can have multiple codes in the 'Codes' table, and each code in the codes table can have multiple vases in the third table. The objective is, for each new record, to automatically generate and assign unique codes for each family in the 'Codes' table and each code in the 'Vases' table. When assigning a new code, Airtable should automatically tell me the last code used for that family and assign the next one (for example if xxx-1 exists already, then assign xxx-2) The code format should include the family number followed by a numeric increasing value (e.g., 1, 2, 3). The count should reset for each family, ensuring that each family has its sequence of code numbers. Thanks in advance for the help - unsure if this is an automation, lookup or sync question.I have two tables in my base that I need to somehow link.Table #1: Content calendar, where posts are to be planned and marked as "ready for approval" Table #2: Task Management, where ideally, once a post in the content calendar table is ready for approval, would automatically be populated into this table with the same info. I would ideally like to be able to switch the status to approved here too and it would be reflected in content calendar. I would also need to add tasks manually in this table that aren't related to posts. I've played around with automations and lookup fields but am at a loss for this one and may not be expert enough to fully understand lookups. Do I need both tables to have exact same columns? Thanks in advance!

I've got a table that has a single select field. I'd like to parse all records in that status by airtable user, and send that user all records in 1 email once a month.I've got this worked out kind of, but it emails each per matching record - I'd like to make it send 1 email and include all records. Screenshot is what I'm doing that emails each record to that airtable user.  

Hi All,im trying to create a button in an interface, of which the interface has a project record picker, that will trigger an automation, to find records in another table.the project picker is set to a particular table called PROJECTS.the button is set to find records in a table called PAYMENTSwhen creating the button and setting up the automation, the conditions of the FIND RECORDS option can set up all the requirements but won’t limit to the particular project that the Record Picker has selected. In fact it won’t let me have any condition relating to the PROJECT. When I test, it picks all records not limited to the PROJECT. Is there any way to let the RECORD PICKER limit the button automation selection… eg.Record Picker: set to PROJECT number ‘100’. So all records assigned with project number 100.Button set to find all records in PAYMENTS tab with other conditions, but can’t set it to only also find records assigned to project 100…? Thank you

Hello Community.. I hope all is wellI built an Agenda database that has recurring events such as "Daily Lunch Time" and "Weekly Team Meetings" etc.. Keep in mind that new Agenda items with new frequencies keep adding up. Setting a recurrence automation is possible, as a new record of the same Agenda item gets created every time the item is marked done. But what if I need to see the items for the whole year from now, without waiting for the items to get done, and without having the automation run endlessly? I have been looking at a formula or automation for recurring events with different frequencies while having an stop date for the recurrence. would truly appreciate your support if anyone knows a perfect hack for it without the requirement to write a coding script (as I am not experienced in that) neither I hope my question is clear. Hi everyone,I need some help to build some automations please.I would like to modify status after specific period.For example, when a new record is create, the field "creation date" fill be filled.for records below 3 days I want to automatically change the status to "Less than 3 days"for records between 3 days and 5 days I want the status "3 to 5 days"records between 5 days and 10 days, status "5 to 10 days"and below 10 days will have no status. I already tried to make automations with "on this date or later" and "on this date and earlier" but it's not working properly.Thanks for your help and merry christmas!

Hello, I have an issue in my company where different departments are sending incorrect clarifications to my department. Now, I want to create a form using Airtable where colleagues can describe their concerns. Once they submit the form, a clarification will be automatically sent to my department in Salesforce (with the correct values). Is this feasible?

I am very new to airtable and just learning. I am building a base for a company that delivers pet food (B2C). and each record in the base is a client with some specific info like (the date of the first scheduled delivery, the day of the week that deliveries should be made and also if he should have a delivery made every week, every 2 weeks etc. I would like to build a calendar in which I could look any given day and know all the clients I should be delivering that day. Any help helps  I am stuck in how to build the calendar part using the client's info, how to automatically set all the future delivery dates based on the client's info.

I am using a date field to gather reservations. I need to exclude or block the weekends from choice. Anyone know how I can do this?

I've read a couple of posts where a solution was provided regarding inserting a logo into a gmail automation and I tried to follow it a few times, with zero success.It's not explained simply to a non-tech person, hence the back-and-forth correspondence between the 'solution provider' and others who were attempting to follow their process.Is there anyone who can explain this to a non-tech person? I have my 'Images' table with attachments field and attachment url field with formulaIF(Attachments, REGEX_EXTRACT(Attachments, "(?:[^(]*\\()([^)]*)")) I also have 1 tag structure and when I enter this into the gmail automation template, nothing comes up. The processseems simple and it's not working. What am I missing?     

I am looking for the best way to query a record from a table and to mark it as Assigned and avoid a different thread of the same automation from picking that row -- something like a select-for-update or distributed locking. In the example below, I don't want 2 simultaneous runs of the automation to pickup gtin3.From what I can find there is no native support for something like this. The best way I can think of is to read an unassigned record and in the next step of the automation to update it as assigned before doing other steps. And later revert it back if the subsequent steps runs into failures. Looking to learn how others might have worked around this.The automation is run in Make.com 

Hi, I am trying to get selectRecordsAsync() to work. I looked up some older posts here and know that the old version was depricated I have to add an array of the field values, however it's still not working.Here is my code:async function updateCompanyDomains() {   let table = base.getTable("MyTableName");   let queryResult = await table.selectRecordsAsync({fields: table.fields})} Script runs through without an error, but it queryResult remains empty. If I put a console log after the queryResule line, it's not logged. If I hover over the fields, all the fields of the linked table are shown. For context, in case this could be the root cause: I am in the free trial. Any help is highly appreciated, thanks. 

I am a bit confused. This might not be complicated. I have two ppl submitting a form and I want to be able merge some of the data. How would I do that? Can I use an automation to update one of the records? But then, how do I match the two entries so it knows what to merge?

Hello, I have an automation that is being run when a webhook is received. I have noticed that the automation is being run multiple times for some records; it does not run multiple times for every webhook. I cannot manually recreate this issue. When I manually send a record, it works as intended. I have reviewed the logs of the booking service sending the webhook, and only a single webhook is being sent each time. But, when I review the automation history, every once in a while it is running 5 times. Every time that it runs incorrectly, it is 5 times.Any thoughts?My automation in question can be viewed below: Webhook Received from booking website. When inserting a Date field in an Email Action, the Date and Time format I’ve set within the table does not get used. Instead, I get the default formatting, something like: 2020-06-07T01:00:00.000Z. I’d like the date and time to be outputted in a more readable format in emails, something like 6/7/2020 at 1:00am.

Super simple question...I have an email action automation that runs when certain conditions are met.  I need to update a date field (excluding time) when this automation runs.  There isn't an obvious answer to this in the forums.  Any ideas?

I have a summary table that is comprised of a single row with a linked field (projects) containing multiple values, then a series of rollups with $ calculations based on project status back in the project table.I would like to automate the addition of new projects to the summary table linked field when projects are created in the primary table, and also automate the deletion of those linked field values when projects are completed.I'm unsure how to best accomplish this in an automation. Are there any suggestions?

When we enter a listing name in one table, the same listing should automatically appear in another table. We set an automation, but when we enter the listing name in one table, that same listing should go to another table. But filed is creating in another table, but the data is coming to that table.Help us here!

Hello! My company may be no longer allowed to use Zapier so I'm trying to figure out how to recreate my Zap using Airtable automations. I need to be able to upload a batch of image files somewhere (our company uses Box), have Airtable match the filenames of the images to existing records, and upload that image file to the attachment field for the matching record. I've seen posts about bulk uploading images to new records but can't find specific info about matching images to existing records. Is this possible?

Hello! I share my Airtable calendar view to my Google calendar so that I can see dates for different clients. A few days ago, I changed a date for a few projects and they're not reflecting on my Google calendar. I've refreshed and unselected the "Sync" button on my Google calendar app and it's still showing the old dates.  Do you know why this is happening? The dates that are showing in Airtable, I need them to show on my Google calendar correctly.

I am trying to use Zapier to publish airtable records as cards on Miro. It works fine, but the link back to Airtable is broken. Zapier needs the record URL and it's not being made available. I wondered if I could work around this by making the record of the URL a field in the record, so that Zapier can use it. Is this possible? Any tops would be much appreciated!
