Whenever I open an existing record, or start a new record, or when taking a picture, in all these cases Airtable causes the device to hang for 2-3 seconds a d the screen goes completely black and unresponsive. After that the app goes back to normal except when taking picture. When taking picture … specifically after the picture is taken the screen also goes black and when it emerges back the record shows the picture is being uploaded. However the next second the Android system message pops up telling me airtable is not responding and asking me if I want to wait for the application “get back to life or something like that”. However even before I can press wait, there is another message over that popping up saying Airtable was terminated. Once I restart the app again, the picture is sometimes uploaded but half of the time it wasn’t uploaded. Anybody noticed similar issue? I don’t have issues taking pictures for other apps. We’ve built out an epic donor CRM base with the help of a developer, but we’re struggling to figure out the best way to approach spouses and families. Sometimes a person donates as an individual, and sometimes they donate as a married couple. I think it’s just what they think about doing that day, there is no other significance. We also want to track who a donor’s spouse is so that we can improve our relationships with the couple/family. My question is how to best handle the relationship to avoid double-sending information, honor individual relationships when necessary, and make the automation process when a new donation hits to go to the appropriate person or couple. These are my ideas, anyone have guidance on how to best approach between these ideas, or have a better one? I’m a pastor who uses Airtable to organize our church’s worship services. It’s become absolutely indispensable, an every day part of my workflow. Currently my Worship base has four tables: Services Songs Sermons Readings The Services table has a one to one relationship with Sermons, and a many to many relationship with the rest. Now in real life, every Service contains a mixture of these elements, in a particular order. For example… Song Song Reading Song Sermon Song Reading What I need is the equivalent of a multiple linked record field, but one that would allows for different record types. Other than storing JSON in a plain text field, I haven’t been able to come up with a good solution for this problem. Would much appreciate any ideas!

I am new and wanting to build the Base(s) and Tables correct the 1st time. The business will have nearly 60 columns of data that I can break into different tables. The challenge is in using a contracted out Data entry team that I want to populate all the fields on each job but once complete and after I have approved the work I want the data to become removed from their view and/or control.

In one base I have three tables. One is for Manufacturers and another is for Products. Manufacturers records have a field that can link to multiple products from the Products table. A third table is for special offers. The data is imported here from a separate list and it includes linked fields for both the Manufacturer and the Product. When a record is added here it will add the Manufacturer and Product to their respective tables, if they don’t already exist. But it doesn’t automatically link the Product to the Manufacturer. Is there any way to make that happen?!

Hi all! I have a form in Thought Journal Entries Table, which includes a client’s journal entry and their email address. You’ll notice that the “Clients” field is a linked record, to the Clients Table, where I have a list of clients and their email addresses. Is there a good way to have the Thought Journal entry automatically link the record back to the corresponding client so we wouldn’t have to do this manually every time someone makes an entry? It doesn’t look like it happens automatically when the email is the same, and I haven’t been able to successfully get an Airtable Automation to have it do the following yet: lookup the submitted email address from form in the Clients Table, Find which client submitted it, then

I have 2 tables on one base that are linked together by one column of product names. When I click the product name on one table I would like to automatically jump to that row on the other table, but it opens up a popup box with details about the record. Is there a way to just hop over to the other table instead? Even in the popup box I don’t see anything to click to take me to the other table.

Can someone tell me whether attachments in Airtable/uploaded to an Airtable form are given a URL that allows anyone with the link to access the attachment without any sort of authentication please? I couldn’t find anything about this in the official documentation, but threads like this one say that this is how things work: Attachment URLs are public? I’m asking because I’ve been asked to upload an attachment containing tax information to an Airtable form and obviously I have concerns about this if Airtable will generate a URL that allows access to anyone who has the link. I would like to ask a very simple question: Is it possible to create an application which would show a simple table on the left side of the screen (in table/ grid view) and simultaneously the corresponding memo field (in form view) for one row which is selected at one point ? I need to track a set of items that are received in one location and then moved to other locations. Each location receives from the main and/or each other. Each location decrements as well. I need to keep track of the quantity that is moved from the main location to all of the others, decremented from those locations and keep overall total quantity updated. Can anyone help?

When I click on the shared link, I get this message: Warning: potentially risky form The user-created form you are attempting to access has been flagged as a potential risk. If you wish to proceed and view the form anyways, please remember to never submit your passwords through Airtable forms. Any advice on why?

I need help with the 500 column limit. We use our base for estimating but with multi options and pricing we are reaching our max limit. Example: We have a window estimate - which consist of 16 windows (and every window is different and needs different information: 16 - Window Styles 16 - vlookup for window style pricing 16 - Length Measurements 16 - Width Measurements 1 - Formula for measurement pricing 16 - Zippers Sizes 16- vlookup for zipper pricing ect… This is only part of the estimate. Currently we are right around 430. Please let me know if you have any suggestions to help.

I’m trying to find a way to manually sort rows in my main Grid view and once manually sorted, updates the order of the additional views in the base. We are trying to import a tool that we have in Google Sheets to Airtable. It has hundreds of rows. Sometimes a new row is added, but needs to be near an older row further up the list. Instead of using Google Filter views, we want to use the Airtable Views to replace them, but we need to see those row updates that are made to the main one in them. There are about 20 non-main views that we’ll be making. Any thoughts?

Hello, I’m using Airtable to organize a catalog. I’m not enjoying the drop-down option and don’t recall this from past use. Is there a way to remove?

Who knows how I can organize this? I have two tables: Groups, with each 10 columns for the names of their members Members, with the data of all members of all groups Now i want to automatically add the name of a new member to the first open spot of the particular group. For example, if Joe is the 5th member signing up for Group X, then his name should automatically appear in column five of that group. Is this possible?

Hey, just have a quick question that I have not been able to solve otherwise So we have a pretty complete base with the following flow : 1.Client fills an Airtable form to book a service; 2. Internal team of operators have different views related to the state of the bookings ( in transit, current, done) 3. Each major client would have a filtered shared view of their bookings, grouped by status Here is a quick idea of how the base is setup : Booking Customer / Client Customer table having the customer ID as their main identifier (primary key of the Customer table), Full company name being the second column, to make sure in the Airtable Form that the customers cannot see the other customer other than their randomized Customer IDs. We have a submittal (construction company) log setup in airtable that overall we have working quite well. Submittals as one line per submittal, and each revision is it’s own line. The key field in the table is a formula that takes the submittal # + the revision # to make a unique ID. For example, we may submit Submittal 07 Rev0 for approval and it is rejected, so then we re-submit and have a new line that is Submittal 07 Rev1. This would look like this Submittal ID Submittal No. Rev No. SUB_007_00 007 00 SUB_007_01 007 01 Each submittal gets an “open” status when it gets sent to the client and then when it is returned, it gets updated as either “Approved”, “Revise and Resubmit”, “Approved As Noted”, etc. What I am trying to do is create a view to only see “Revise and Resubmit” status for example, BUT I want to exclude all the lines that were superseded by a revision so that I don’t have a cluttere

Hi, First issue I have linked a ‘products’ table and an ‘orders’ table. The products table lists the items but some of the items have multiple choices (such as colours, sizes and finishes). When the product is selected in the orders table, the options are grouped together and not selectable (i.e. it is a mirror of the original contents rather than a dropdown which is unique to the entry on the orders table and doesn’t change the main products data). I want to be able to select the specific options for each product on the orders table without having to create multiple products based on colours, sizes and finishes. I suspect it’s a formula or other method rather than just linking but I haven’t been able to find an answer online (as there are too many solutions for linking and I’m probably using the wrong terminology for my issue). Hello, do you think being 15 users on 3 accounts can slow down airtable our bases or there is no link between number of connexions on an account and speed ? the question is… if we buy 1 or 2 more accounts, will it fix this issue ?

I have a base set up for the families that we support through our feeding programme. There is a tab for individuals, giving details about each person, and a tab for families, where the info common to each family is held. On the families tab, I also have a “link to individuals” column, where the base automatically lists the names of all the individuals in the household. As we are updating our database we have found that some individuals have left the household. I would ideally like to keep their information on record, rather than deleting them. So I have created a “active/inactive” single select column for each person, under the individuals tab. However these individuals are still reflecting under the “linked to individuals” column. Is there a way to configure it to show only the current individuals?

Hi folks. I am trying to create a Kanban view of a table that has x1 single select field and x1 collaborator field. I want to make the Kanban on the collaborator field but when I create it, it only finds the single select field and ask me if I want to create a new single select or collaborator field. Any thoughts welcome! Thanks.

Is there a way to achieve the following? I have a table called people and a table called families. In the families table, I want three columns: mother, father, and children which are all linked to objects in the people table. In the people table i want just a single column which represents which family that person is in. It seems like this should be pretty simple to do, but i can’t figure out how to get it to work without having multiple columns in the people table or splitting the people table into three separate tables. Any help would be appreciated.

All I want is to show the selected records by clicking the boxes on the left side of the primary field. It lets me check but then what? I cannot find the way to do it.

Seems there are a bunch of posts about this, people requesting it and then no replies on where the dev is on this, IF there is any intention to develop for this… Has this ever been actually addressed?
