Hello Community! My name is Federico. I have this issue: I am using Airtable as the Sales CRM of my company. I have 2 tables: Products Sales Orders I have the link from sales orders to Products so i can calculate to all the Sales Orders the price of that order. I am facing the problem that i live in Argentina and now we have to change prices like 1 time a month and all the previous Sales Order within this link with the products update the value of that Sales Order. How can I isolate that price so when i change the product price, that sales order price is not modified? I will be waiting for help! Thank you!

Hi Everyone, Is there a way that I can have multiple select checkboxes, I read through the community and I guess there is isn’t and people are using a formula as a workaround. However, I can’t figure a formula works on my case: I have 1 table with 3 different views, let’s say View1 “Stage1”, View2 “Stage2” , View 3 “Stage3” View 1 has a multi check field “Move to Stage2”, by defaults records in stage 1 is considered “Stage1” View 2 has 2 multi check field “Move to stage 3” and “Back to stage 1” and View 3 has “Move to stage 2” So they are Stage1 “Default” Move to stage2 Move to Stage 3 Back to stage 1 So, I want when the checkbox “Move to stage 2 “, “Back to stage2” ticked and Not Back to stage1 , nor default stage1 nor move to stage 3 gives me “Stage2” The checkbox “Move to stage 3” ticked gives me “Stage 3” not ticked Stage1 nor move to stage 2 nor the default stage 1 The checkbox " Back to Stage 1” or “Stage 1” ticked gives me Stage 1, and not ticked " Move to Stage 2” nor “Back

I am sure this is easy, but I can’t figure it out on my own. I’d very much appreciate if some could point me in the right direction. I have 3 fields: {WRITER 1} {WRITER 2} {WRITER 3} I am looking for a formula to combine them into one field. The names should be separated by commas in the new combined field. I can do the above easily, BUT: The fields are not always filled. Sometimes only one of them is filled, sometimes all 3. So I need IF statments in combination with =BLANK() I can do it for WRITER 1 and 2, but I can’t get the 3rd one in… Thank you in advance! I am lost.

Hello! I’m new to Airtable but not databases overall so I have a little bit of knowledge in how to write a formula. I can’t seem to work through this one though. I have the need to be able to recall certain clients for scheduled services. I cannot for the life of me figure out how to write this formula. I need the formula to calculate off the “Scheduled Date” forward 275 days but only when the “status” is not marked as “complete”. I have no earthly idea how to make this work. Thank you all very much for your help on this - I’m sure it’s pretty basic and I am overthinking but…I’ll learn it all someday!

Hi there, Myself and @shravan_chandrashekh are working on logging AWS data for our clients and inferring some insights. We are currently adding one row for each log. We are using EC2 to parse and add the data. Almost immediately we have maxed out the row limits though. There’s very little data per row, just product links, date and time. We want to be able to show usage over time for our clients for multiple items so we are curious how to efficiently design our table in order to do so. We could add one row per day, but then I’m unsure how to populate each item with the date and time in which it was accessed? This will eventually end up in a private page/link for the clients to view so ideally they can filter by date, product, category etc. Any help is much appreciated, Allen

I manage an online game company and players submit bookings through an Acuity widget on our website. Zapier monitors those Acuity event creations and pushes the records into an AirTable database. Players have a window of time in which they can reschedule their session (or I can reschedule their game upon request), but I’m having a problem getting Zapier’s feature to “Find Record” in Acuity Scheduling to find the old record and update AirTable accordingly. AirTable has the following fields (all populated by Zapier): “Game Date/Time” (formatted as Date) Not unique because I have several staff who can run games simultaneously. “Date Booked” (formatted as Date, populated by Acuity’s “Datetime Created:” field in YYYY-MM-DDTHH:mm:ss-0000 format) Not truly unique, but it will be very rare to have two game bookings come in at the same second, and even more rare to have two rebookings come in at the same second. I have a column of IDs stored as numbers, which I can filter for one at a time using the standard operators. Is it possible to filter for a list of multiple IDs in one go? For example, select every record where the ID is in 1234,4567,8910… etc similar to how in SQL you can do : “SELECT * FROM TABLE WHERE ID IN (1234,4567,8910)”

Hi Airtable World! This is something simple, but I can’t find the answer. When I opened a new Project Tracker template, it had a Project Lead column with individual names and headshots, for lack of a better name. I can’t figure out how to recreate the names or the images. They’re actually greyed out and I can’t edit them. In a previous account, I had to create a separate table for just team names and link to that sheet. I can’t get that to work, either. Suggestions? I am looking for a function that : there are two table1 and table 2, and if I update or add data on table1, it automatically syncs to table 2. and on table 2, I wanna make a column that doesn’t relate with table 1. it should be isolated.

Hello, Long story short: How to automaticaly copy/paste a text from a cell to another where it will apear as an editable text as well? I’m developing a CRM. I Use a first table “PRODUCTS” as a product list. A second one “OFFERS” as an offers editing list. and a third one “PRODUCTS LINE” to edit products lines in each offers (quantities, discounts, comments etc) On my “Product line” sheet, I would like when I call a product from the “product” sheet, that its standard descrition (a text, in the product sheet) appears as a text as well im my “product line” sheet where I’ll be able to edit it for this offer only. thanks in advance

This is mostly feedback for Airtable on why, having been very excited, I’m now disappointed by it after only fifteen or so minutes… tl;dr at the bottom. I was just introduced to Airtable via the Wintergarten / Marble Machine X Youtube channel (and I commend you for giving them a licence!!). I thought someone had finally built the hybrid database/spreadsheet I’ve been craving for probably 20 years. But, from what I can tell, there is NO WAY to constrain fields with custom validations, such as e.g. min-max length, permitted characters, etc. This means that using Airtable for structured data capture, with a view to future data import, is STILL going to require data cleanup that otherwise could be enforced at the time the data is entered. I can see this issue is bought up repeatedly in the forum here, but generally, the answer seems to be ‘no you can’t do that, try this clunky formula-driven-status-twin-field solution’ on an auto-closed thread, with no mention of whether this is in dev

Is it possible to convert textual data within a column as you change the field type from single line text to checkbox. I’ve uploaded a pre-existing spreadsheet that contained the text “complete” to show the status of processing. I would like to convert the field to checkbox and therefore, convert any data marked complete to a checkbox.

Hello, I’m wondering if there is a way to append the letter M to a currency field. The field in question is a formula based on 2 other fields and the output is a number to 1 decimal point - ##.#, I’d like to format it in such a way that the letter M is appended to it since we know that all the values will be in the millions. Is that possible? Same question for just standard currency format fields, where the user just enter something like 1.2, and it formats it as $1.2M. Can either or both of those be done? Hi all we are using Airtable to log queries, however records are being duplicated. Is there a way that Airtable can “flag” them based on a unique record such as the employee number?

Summary of records across multiple tables. Hi, I’m working on a setup where I have several tables for projects and one Summary table where I want to have summaries from all projects. The way I imagine it, Summary tab would contain one record per project. Here’s the scheme of how I imagine it. My product is actually not about ‘projects’ and ‘tasks’. I’m using this for the sake of example. In the Summary table, the four fields are Count fields. One for the count of all linked records, the remaining three have a condition to filter by status. The problem that I encountered is that the fields in the Summary table can be linked to one project table only. So it looks like I can’t have records for different projects. I looked for existing answers but in what I found the initial base designs were different, so I couldn’t locate a solution that I could use. Please let me know if it was discussed before. I’d think it must have been discussed. I’m open to different base designs.

I’ve seen this asked elsewhere but not answered yet. I need to be able to create a list of options (for a single or multi-select field), order them, color code them, do whatever I need to do to them, and then be able to use that set of options in more than one place. Throughout a project, or even across different projects, I am often developing my own taxonomy and using that taxonomy in multiple places. At the moment, this doesn’t seem to be possible within Airtable unless I create my own reference tables and then link them, which is kind of a pain. It would be so so nice to be able to create something like a “global” options list, which I could reuse in any table or base, and only ever have to update in one place.

Hello! My table has an “all contacts” tab, which contains all the contacts our organization works with. We work primarily with two different groups - teachers and volunteers. We have an Airtable form for teachers to sign up to use our services, and a different form (in the same tab) for volunteers to sign up and help. We have a column to set their “Category” as either teacher or volunteer (this is currently a multiple select category because we have a few other tags and they are not mutually exclusive). Currently, when a new sign-up is recorded, we need to look at the record and manually tag the entry as a teacher/volunteer. Is there a way that, depending on whether the teacher or volunteer form was completed, the newly created record can automatically be tagged as either “educator” or “volunteer”? Thank you!

I’m setting up a rollup field to concatenate record IDs for general items that match a set of filters. There is a form input box to accept plain text, but it does not accept column names or cells as inputs. Is there a way to make it do that similar to a formula?

Fairly new to AirTable. I currently am trying to build two surveys for my org’s membership. My goal is to automatically link the records in Survey2 (Email, Organization, Role…) to Survey1 (Name, Email, Age…), but I don’t want users to be able to see the names of everyone who has submitted a response to Survey1. Is there a way to have them input their emails in Survey2, and then to automate AirTable to look up the record associated with that email in the table for Survey1, and update the name field to be linked to that record after they submit?

HELP PLEASE!! I have a table with a LOOKUP FIELD, pulling a date from another table. The date in the original table is correct…but the lookup field in the second table is pulling a date one day earlier. I cannot figure why this would be! Any help is appreciated.
