Hi, I am trying to have a row added every week automatically, and then when the field End of testing hits today - 1 day it would send an email notification.
I have a base with columns (fields) in a given order horizontally across the page. I want to move some of these columns so that the are in a different order across the page. How do I do that?
Small bug in the user interface: Can’t sort the list of workspaces in the left column (the list is under “Find Base and Workpace” field on the left). I try to drag up and down workspaces (dragging the name) but it refuses to stay where I drag it. The list is not alphabetical but I want to sort it in my own order. The 6 dots ::: show and allows dragging but the order goes back to previous order or the order becomes completely mixed up. The issue is same online (Chrome) as it is in the app (MacOS)
Can’t copy the setup of the SUMMARY bar (or whatever it’s called) across views. I have a few views in my base. On the bottom there are totals (or sum, max, is-empty etc counters). I want to copy the confirmation between views. Is there a check box I mised? I don’t want recreate views and they are all different. But the bottom totals are configured in the same way across the views.
I’m planning on creating a newsletter with different categories and I’m looking for advice on how to allow users to: customize newsletter by selecting what categories they would like to receive first customize newsletter by selecting the order of categories they would like to receive them I have 14 categories and I want to connect this database with Mailchimp to automatically send the content to subscribers weekly. Is this something I can do with Airtable and Mailchimp?
Hi All, I am trying to build out an automated(ish) roadmap and resource planning base that will schedule features based on sprint start/end dates and resource availability. I used this base as a starting point: Resource Planning - Airtable Universe Linkk to a testing base with my setup: Airtable - Testing This google sheet is the auto-scheduling functionality that I am trying to mimic. The sheet takes in to account available headcount and automatically schedules dates based on availability. I’d like to accomplish something similar in airtable , but using the sprint table start and end date data to drive roadmap dates and assign features to the team based on availability. Roadmap Planning Example - Google Sheets T The problem that I have are as follows. Automatically scheduling features based on resource availability. For example, if I’ve planned for Feature A thru E below, and need to plan for the next 5, how could I make Airtable do some based on availability. Showing overlap in
guys, why did the empty post appear?
How to clone a base along with its blocks and everything ?
Hello all, I’ve been fiddling with the Inventory Tracking template to see if Airtable will serve our needs and could use a little guidance. We distribute food to a number of food pantries and keep a monthly inventory for all of them, tracking what is transferred into and what is transferred out/distributed from each inventory, along with the current inventory levels. Hopefully that makes a glimmer of sense. Is there a way to accomplish this without setting up a separate base for each pantry and entering in purchase/sales orders into each one? Many thanks!
I have a question for a base design to track locks and keys. I have a table for locks, a table for keys and a junction table for locks_keys. In the junction table, the locks column can have many locks that can be opened by a single key. I have a composite primary field concatenated with the lock and key values as the primary key. Issue is that the primary key is really long on some records where 1 key can open 5 locks. Would creating a surrogate locks_keys_autonumber primary field work in place of using the natural keys?
I am trying to create a formula for renovation of flipping houses. My scenario is this: I have a purchase price. I also have 8% commissions coming out of total sale. I want to be able to input value x (possible total sale price) - 8% then - again the purchase price which would give me a field with a possible renovation budget. So it would look something like {(enter any number value x) - 8%)} - purchase price = new value
I have encountered an contradictory issue wherein two schemas which are topologically identical are treated differently; one works fine and the other throws a circular reference error. I have distilled the issue into a very simple example base. Here’s a link: Airtable Airtable: Organize anything you can imagine Airtable works like a spreadsheet but gives you the power of a database to organize anything. Sign up for free. Table 1 contains a record which is linked to another record contained in Table 2. The record’s name is a function of a value looked up in the linked record. Everything is copacetic. However, if I attempt to synthesize the records into a single table, AirTable gets hung up on a circular reference. My questions are: Why are these two schemas fundamentally different from each other? What are my options for getting around this circular reference? I want to keep both records in the same table, and I need the
Hi - Has anyone created a base to track applicant diversity or created a base for OFCCP auditing? If not, any suggestions for modifying an existing base? I’m looking to track the applicant diversity mix for various jobs, the diversity mix of those we hire, then layer that against our overall employee diversity percentages. This would be a year-by-year comparison, so I’m thinking will need to involve several tables. thanks!
Hello all, I am new to airtable but I feel like it has a lot of potential in order to manage my employees. What I want to achieve is fairly simple: I want a list of all my employees (easy to do) I want a list of all my worksites (easy to do) a) I want to assign my employees to certain worksites and then be able to see on a calendar which employees is available for an upcoming project. b) I want to be able to filter that calendar by employee and / or by worksites For example, Daniel is working on project 1 in September and December Roger is working on project 1 only in September but on project 2 in November and December I have an upcoming project in November and want to see which employees are free in October What would be the best way to go about successfully implementing step 3 in airtable? I found a couple of templates but they seem to be too complex for what I’m trying to accomplish. Kevin
I have seen several closed posts on this question, with no workable solution, so I’m going to post a similar question, with detail: I have created a scheduler template for our company’s research projects - it is very complex, lots of formulas, rollups, counts, etc. It also has a wide array of views and blocks for different internal users. It took many, many hours to perfect and test. Now I need to reuse it for each of our projects - specifically, I need to add the 4 tables that make up this base to other existing bases. I am forced to do this because I can’t reference one base from another, so we are making a single huge base for each client - one that holds a ton of tables, so that we can reference data across those tables. The only solutions I have seen either involve exporting/importing a csv, or doing a cut and paste. Unfortunately, both of those kluges only move the values, but lose all the formulas, rollups, etc., which are the important (and time-consuming) part. Users have
I have a weird issue I’m not sure how to solve. I can’t seem to wrap my head around it. I have a base with three separate tabs. The first tab is for all project information, the second tab is for “due diligence” tasks, and the third tab is for billing. I’m using Zapier and linked fields to try to do the following: When a new project is created, I want to trigger the creation of a list of tasks in the due diligence tab, and then a list of billing breakdowns in the billing tab. The list of tasks and billing breakdowns is the same for each project. I’ve set it up in Zapier and I’m running into a problem. I’ve tried it two different ways. When the new record is created, I update the record so the linked field in the project tab is populated with all of the tasks. When I do this for more than one record though, it doesn’t create new records on the linked task, but instead keeps the same records, just linked to more than one project. I have it set up to group by project and then by task cat
Hi, I’m trying to move my Amazon FBA inventory tracking system from Google Sheets to Airtable. In the Sheets version, I have a sheet called SKU List (with SKU, supplier info, target inventory amount, etc). On a regular basis (let’s say daily), I download an inventory report from Amazon that tells me (in a text/CSV file) how much inventory I currently have for each SKU. I simply paste this file into another sheet called Amazon Report. Then, I use an Index/Match formula on the SKU List sheet to look up the current inventory of each SKU from the Amazon Report sheet (the SKU is the unique identifier/link between the two). If that SKU does not exist in the pasted-in Amazon Report, the inventory is shown as 0. This updated inventory count then drives the rest of the restocking process, which all happens within Sheets. Here’s my question - how do I set up the CSV paste-in and associated lookup of inventory in Airtable? I would think this would be simple but I haven’t yet figured it out. If I
Is there somehow I can organize my ‘shared bases’ on the frontpage? Right now they are in long row, and I can’t move them into workspaces. A cool solution would be to create ‘workspaces’ within my pile of shared bases. Can I do this somehow? Br Henriette
I do a weekly radio show. I have the name of each show for the week under Episodes, and the individual segments. I also have a table with a list of segments I’m working on. I would simply like to be able to click “done” or put in a date in the segment list and have it automatically update to the correct episode. Any ideas for how to do that?
Hey all, thanks for reading. I’m trying to create a database that maps relationships. I have a survey where people list who they like to work with and who they don’t like to work with, and I created a linked record field within my table that links to the people that participants said they liked or didn’t like to work with. I want to create a column that goes in the other direction (i.e. people who like to work with me, people who don’t like to work with me). In other words, I want a column that looks up all the people who linked to the first record and listed them. Do folks know how I might do that?
ETA: I’m sure this has been addressed a million times before, and I’d be glad to learn from that answer. The problem is that at this point I don’t know enough to know which of the previously posted answers is the right one. Thanks! Continuing the discussion from Links and Schema: I thought I had solved the problem, but no, and I can’t go back and edit the original post. My goal still is to get output that looks like this, but with each ingredient in a separate column Color name Mud 1 - 12% - Mud - 50 parts Blue, 24 parts yellow, 27 parts red Color name Mud 2 - 6% - Mud - 50 parts Blue, 24 parts yellow, 27 parts red Color name Mud 3 - 3% - Mud - 50 parts Blue, 24 parts yellow, 27 parts red My table that has ‘ingredient summary’ as the primary field shows color names and depths of shade as a string of items instead of columnar data. What am I doing wrong? Can this be solved without a pivot table? Thanks!
Hi everybody, Zapier does not recognises the datas in “link to” fields. Is adding a look-up field compulsary for zapier to read the information ? thanks,
I have a established a link between two tables. I’d like to be able to add additional information (fields) on this link instance to give more detail about that particular link. If I make a 2nd link between the tables, I’d like to put different data on that link. Is there a way to do this? Or is this functionality limited to linking one table record to another without any additional supporting information?
Hi all, Might be a rookie mistake but I have a formula with this: IF(DATETIME_DIFF(TODAY(), {Full-date}, ‘days’)>10,1,0) It is set to integer but despite this the API is Number or String, causing other problems such as having to put my API request in “1”. Other fields that are set to integer is simply Number in the API. Any way to force the formula to be number or am I making some other mistake? Jacob
Can someone help me figure out how to sort one of my columns by 1, 2 instead of Alpha.
