Base Design

I am moving along quite well. Quick question about embedding on a six page. I can easily change my page size to see more, but I don’t see an option to show more of the gallery. I know folks can scroll, but my current provider allows adjustable sizes of the embedded window within the Wix window if that makes sense. Thanks for any help. charley

Hello all! I am trying dynamically update my available inventory based on dates. For example: July 22, 2020 Event 1 Gear assigned A01, A02 July 22, 2020 Event 2 // When I go to select inventory I want to assign to this event, I want to make sure that A01 and A02 are omitted from the list since they are already being used on the same date for Event 1. Hey everyone, In table #1, I need to create a field that calculates a SUM(values) rollup of the costs associated to records in another table (let’s call it table #2). I created a linked field that links table #1 to table #2, but is there a way to link to all the records in table #2? Let’s say the records in table #2 are labeled “A” “B” “C” etc… I would like a field in table #1 to link to all the records in table #2 that are labeled “A.” But there could be hundreds of them theoretically, so manually linking them isn’t feasible. I’ve tried copying the values into the linked field, but it only returns one link in each field instead of all the records that match. Hi, Question about linking records between tables. I want to create a dynamic conditions linking in Airtable. Is this possible? I only see the option for static conditions. We are a charity amateur brass band in the UK which plays music at charity events and teaches music to members of the community of all ages. We have approximately 100 members and will probably not grow very much bigger. I have designed our membership and stock database on Airtable. We will have about 10 collaborators, so would never be able to spend $50 a month to install blocks. However, we are looking for a solution to be able to send group emails to the membership from the database, so that leaders are compliant with GDPR and don’t have personal lists on their computer. Do you have any ideas that might help us?

I have 2 tables: Customers Workouts When I create a new workout I want to auto-link it to every customer in the customers table. Is there a way to do this? I found a ‘hack’ of sorts on the forum - grouping workouts by linked customers and then adding rows from below the group that contains all customers. But the problem with this is that I need it to automatically include any additional customers when they get added to the customer table. Any suggestions?

I created a form with airtable because I wanted my users to be able to submit their own posts which include a title, description, and an image and I wanted it stored in the spreadsheet I made with airtable. Is there a way for me to connect my form with Thunkable so my users can submit their posts through my app?

Hi, Here’s what I’d like to do. On my website, I’d like one form (Table 1) to have two fields. Twitter Handle Writing Prompt On my website, a user fills in both fields then the data gets added to Table 1 (in airtable). When Table 1 fields are filled, another table (Table 2) on the same web page will display the Twitter Handle and Writing Prompt. However, Table 2 will only show the LAST record (Twitter Handle and Writing Prompt) input from Table 1. I have a content calendar table set up in Airtable, but I’d also like to use another table in the same base to keep track of my newsletters. My main content calendar table has a field called “newsletter” that is a date, which represents the day on which the newsletter that will contain this story will be sent. It also has a URL field for published stories. I would love for the URL field for the story in the content calendar table to auto-populate in the corresponding record in the newsletter table. For example, if the story “5 Things You Didn’t Know About Back Pain” had “7/27/2020” in the “Newsletter” field on the content calendar table, that story’s URL would appear in the “7/27/2020” record in the newsletter table. There is a currently built airtable with a field project name and information on the project. I want to make a new tab that can be used as a form. This form will allow the user to select a project name that has already been inputed and upload a picture. The picture will then link in according to project name, to a new column in the original project info tab.

I am working on a research project and trying to find a better way to view my data as I’m entering it. It will be done in stages so it’s not really like a form, I need to view all the previously entered data as I am researching and entering the new findings. Entering it into the spreadsheet table is not really working well, I am hoping to avoid scrolling around trying to see all the data.Any help or suggestions would be appreciated…

Hello all, I’m new to the community and have been finding so many valuable resources here - thank you! I did some research on this question but wasn’t able to quite find the solution. Here is the basic layout of the two tables in question: RIGS table // Shows all our available inventory Rig 01 Rig 02 Rig 03 etc EVENTS table // Shows event details including which pieces of Inventory are assigned to which Event Event 1 - Rig 01 Event 2 - Rig 02, Rig 03 etc Objective: As Inventory is assigned in the EVENTS table, I want to remove the assigned Inventory from the RIGS table dynamically. Hi Community, as a brand new user of Airtable, my question is more general in nature and related to how to set up a project. I am creating a startup accelerator program and would like to use Airtable to manage the process of creating application forms, and evaluating candidates (with the help of a number of evaluators/judges). This is where I am so far: I have created a new base called Startups I have created an application form with all the relevant fields for the information I need from startups. The next steps are where I have some doubts Should I create fields for the evaluators within the same form as the startup application or create a new separate evaluation form and link it to the startup? Ideally, I would like the evaluator to score applicants within the same form but allow for each evaluator to start with a blank field (ie not see the other evaluators answers, to avoid bias). Hi Community. So far i have Set up an Item List where i can seach the sku number and another where i can search by name, thats fine. So when i enter via form the data for the costumer where it should be send i have just 1 problem, what can i do when i have 1 of these items twice or more ? Here is what I want to do… We are using Airtable for a survey that can be answered anonymously. Many people may wish to do this at first and therefore not put their emails in initially. However, later we ask if they want to receive information about services, so we would then need their email. For now, I have the description state that they need to provide us with an email if they answer yes. Is there a way to have the email field pop back up? In other words, I don’t want to have two email fields, I want it to link to the same field.

I manage online content for items sold at retail. I have a record for each UPC (item). Every UPC will have updates done 1x a month. I have a checkbox field that indicates when the item has been updated on the retailer’s website. I would like to have a NEW record created automatically, once the checkmark box is selected. This new record should have some of the values prepopulated based off of the original record. Each record has a date for “update due”, which is 30 days from the last update. Ultimately, in a year, I would have 12 records for one UPC, each with the original content changes in their respective fields. Just not sure how to have the system automatically create a new record. Haven’t had luck with scripting block (am admittedly a newby), and zapier only offers me the option of creating a new record when another new record is created. With hundreds of UPCs to update monthly, automating this would be a HUGE time saver!

Hey I am trying to create a base to track our 3 week class program. I wanted to do a table for each Week to mark who registered and then have a date that they completed that class. Hello everyone. I am trying to build a somewhat complex base. I thought I had figured it all out, but I can’t get the last part together, so I would like some help please. First, I have (1) projects. Projects are created by (2) acts, which assign (3) people to the (4) group working on each of them. But an act can also do other things (extending deadlines, changing its type, etc.), which are all covered already maybe except for one that seems tricky for what I still need to solve: an act can replace people in the group or simply add more people to it. Hi all! I am trying to batch update 500 records in a linked column with a new “tag” if you will, but I don’t want previous “tags” or content in that linked column to be overwritten. Example, I have hundreds of email addresses and a linked Emails Sent column. Is there a way to add a new “tag” or email to that Emails Sent column without overwriting previous links that are currently in that column?
