Base Design

Can someone tell me if there is a way to select several tables at once to move them? For example, when creating new tables, they are automatically placed at the very end of all existing tables. We have a lot of tables in our base, and I often have to create more, usually many at a time.  If I need them to be located at the beginning, or at the top (of the table list), it can take time I don't have time to move them one by one. It seems like it would be a pretty basic function that you would be able to select more than one table at a time in the table list and drag them up to the top of the table list, or select more than one table's tab and move them over all at one time. I've done searches, but cannot find an answer. What am I missing? Thanks.

Hello Airtable CommunityI have a base with several tables (one for each department) to plan their content. So print, social media organic, PR etc.Each team has 1-3 interfaces. Now I want to synchronize the most important information from all these tables into one table in the same base. I want to have a comprehensive content calendar to see at a quick glance who is working on what. Unfortunately, synchronization only works over different bases. But then I can't display everything in one interface and the employees would always have to switch bases.Does anyone have an idea for this?Best regardsMirko

It’s slightly similar question to the previous poster actually. I have a field which has numbers in it. If I do this (grouped by field), it shows a very neat view which also contains SUM of each group. The question is. How do I get this sum to my other table? In my screenshot, that will be how do I create a record on other table which has my [400x600] text and ‘30’ integer in it? Is there a very easy solution that I miss? Thanks

Hi, My boss has created this sheet. I manage airtable automations and things around it.So whenever he opened the account from his side, the sheet results shows some of the incorrect values. But whenever I open Airtable from myside it always shows me the correct values in the sheet.Attached are two screenshots of same table where you can see it is showing the red I marked showing different values.I asked him to open with different account but still he has issues and I am not having it.Please help, it's been a week we are having these issues. I have turned off all the automations but still this error doesn't resolve.

I've created a base for my softball league and could use a second set of eyes on a problem I can't seem to crack. I want to be able to input the game scores in the "Schedule" tab and then have everything else update accordingly (runs scored, runs allowed, standings, etc.). I’m trying to make a synced table, but have it synced to another table in the same base. This doesn’t appear to be an option. The use case is having a single base with a table of Posts (by a user), and also having a table of UserProfiles that display those posts. Thought the sync was the perfect answer to this, but for some reason it has to reference an external base. My options seem to be duplicating the data manually (edits to posts will be lost) or making a separate base for just the user profiles. Is there any way to link to a table in the same base?

Hello everyone! I'm sure this solution is something really easy staring me right in the face but I just can't see it. I have a  base with several tables that I am linking to, and trying to set up. To start:The Position Table has a large number of jobs in it. My HR crew list links each crew member with all of the positions that they are qualified for (and I have here the results showing as a Lookup)What I am trying to do is set things up so when choosing an Assignee it will ONLY display the people that are qualified based on who is linked to the Position field. So I can have this:And easily select the people for the Position filtered by qualification. Not sure why I can't think my way through this!

Hello! I'm using the interface to show our metrics, and I'm looking to show both cumulative pipeline numbers and current pipeline numbers. Under our Tasks table, we tag the pipeline status per task, so cumulative recall is straightforward. How would I record the metric for the current pipeline status? Our pipeline is:Qualification, Initial Contact, Significant Engagement, Significant Follow-up, Proposal Submitted, Proposal Awarded, Closed: Project not awarded, Closed: other, Handoff...For example, Within one project (projects are tracked in a different table) I have completed tasks for qualification, one for initial contact and now I have a completed task (with the checked mark) of significant engagement. I only want to count significant engagement to show where I am for this project. Is this possible? Are there other ways people show project progress/ sales pipeline progress? The goal is to see where people are at curren

I have a project and a task table. The tasks are all connected to projects. I'd like to connect the tasks together so when I need to delay (or move up) a project I can move all the tasks together. I thought when they came out with dependencies, that would work. Unfortunately, it doesn't work for what I want to do. First of all, my tasks aren't necessarily dependent upon one another. I don't need to do one before the other. They are simply tasks that need to be done before the project is done. I've tried batch move, but it gets complicated with weekends and holidays. Also, I have a project start date and a due, Plus I have a task start date, a working on date. The working on date just ensures that I'm working on the task before I need Any suggestions? 

I have an airtable base that has a field linked to another record.  I need a way to populate this field with a field in Jotforms WITHOUT using automation (I have tens of thousands of these records so I can't use automation).Is there a field type in Jotforms that will populate this field type?

Hello everybody!I have two tables one that shows products and one that shows orders. What I want to do is inside the table that shows the orders. I want to have a view that shows most recent order that each product is attached too. Is there anyway to do this?

Hey community,I'm fairly new to Airtable and I am faced with a task I myself cannot seem to wrap my head around: I created a single-select field that checks for a condition (e.g. did you have lunch today?). It's currently not being used yet because I want to get the reporting straight first. My problem: I already had records in my base prior to this new select field. What I would like to do is to check from a specific date onward (ie. once the new field is live and ready to use for my base editors) how often this field was selected - meaning how many % of all new records did choose to select this optional field (yes, I had lunch today). Do you have any ideas how I could set this up? Thank you so much!Virginia

I have a user that wants to change the name of the "Duplicate X" where X = Initially selected name when the table is created with the "What should this record be called? question. Is there a way to change this after it is initially selected at table creation?I have not found a method to edit after creation and also didn't find anything in Airtable Help related to this topic. 

I design and produce products which I sell online. I use Airtable for project management. My Airtable base has tables for PROJECTS, TASKS, PRODUCTS and more. Each Task and Each Product is assigned to a Project. I have created an interface where my supplier can get all the data and infos for the upcoming products.In my PRODUCTS table, I use a formula to create a SKU for each product. It is a combination of the project number, the product category and the product number. My Problem: Some Products have variants (e.g. T-Shirt sizes). 5 different sizes of the same T-Shirt should all have the same SKU, just with an addition "-SM", "-MD", "-LG" etc.When I send the info to the print company, the interface should not only show a total amount of units ordered. If there are variants, it should also show the ordered unit for each variant. For example "Small (AR0010101-SM): 11 Units", "Medium (AR0010101-MD): 23 Units".But there are many other potential variants for products

That can be used to generate web pages automatically from a base? I know that Carrd can be connected to Airtable one way (for instance, to fill in data into a base for a form created in Carrd), but I am not sure if it can work the other way around (a row in Airtable becomes a website page in a Carrd site) Are there any other applications besides Pory, Table2Site?

I'm trying to create an airtable that will intake many records over the course of day (numbers) in individual rows and then get the sum total of all rows by day. i want the sum to be its own output (i.e. not just the "grouped by" sum function) so i can use it for other uses and visualizations.i have my main table created and the intake form. however, when i try to create a second table and link records, i can't quite figure out how to (1) automatically import records as they come in and (2) create a sum by date in that table.

I copied the Project management Airtable Template and I see Manual sort as a field type. This is not available for me on any other bases. Is this a new field type? 

Hello all 🙂 I've been staring at this and I am sure it is right in front of me but can't see it. I have a table of scenes that have their filming date defined by a lookup field (I link backwards for print result purposes - if you have seen my other posts DocsAutomator saved my sanity)Now the problem is of course that the linked filed doesn't ACT like one, so I cannot sort properly by date. I can group all the same dates together but they sort alphabetically, not chronologically. How do I accomplish this?

I have a table built in Tableau that appears fine on screen, showing the currency fields with 2 decimals.In the past i had to export as crosstab csv and then use CSV import extension to update records in Airtable. Now i want to just use a directly synced table from the Tableau integration, but it is not working. 1. Biggest issue is currency fields are importing as rounded whole dollars, losing the decimals.2. Also noticing that currency fields are coming in as text field and unable to convert to currency field. I have tried changing the number format in Tableau using Number (standard), Number (custom), Currency (standard),Currency (custom), and Automatic. Nothing works. Any ideas? 

A base I created has locked views that I cant to set back to collaborative so I can delete those views from my Base, but I am unable to change them to Collaborative, or delete them.Some things to note:- I am currently on a Free version of Airtable- I can select Collaborative from the drop down, but it does not change, and stays on Locked- I am the owner of the base, and the only user in it currently.Looking for some suggestions on how i can get rid of these views. Howdy! I have a list of all of my vendor partners, which includes a single select column for the type of vendor. I would like to create another table with a filtered list of my partners of a specific type, web integrators.I would like to do this because I have some additional columns of data that I would like to add and track, but they are only relevant for the web integrators and not relevant for all of the other partner types. The Company Name would be the primary field on both tables.Ideal, I would be able to create a new table will all my tagged web integrators, such that when I add a new partner to my main list and tag them as a web integrator, they will appear on the new table and I can update the additional columns in the new table. What is the best way to achieve this use case?

I have a question that I can't seem to find the answer to. I have two tables within a base. One is a list of employees with their names and teams. The other is a list of Scheduled trainings. On the Scheduled table, I have a field that I fill in for possible training attendees. It is a multi-select field linked to the Employees' table, but I have to add each individual 1 by 1, which can be time-consuming.Is there a way to add multiple people easily or be able to add everyone from specific teams? I'd want to be able to select operations, for example, and it adds everyone's name from that team to that field. So I can see the attendees, but people can also have the training linked to them directly. 

So with the linked records field you can limit the available records to a view. I would however like to link a record to a certain view within another table. So if I click on the link I would like it to take me to a certain view in another table. This view will be different for each link though (although limited). So I have a table column with tools for example. That will list Blade. Now if I click on blade I would like it to take me to the view of all the different blades in the Tools table. I don’t just want to link to all of them because that would be horrendous to click through all of them. Any ideas?

I have two bases: Contacts and Matters. In Contacts, there are two tables: People and Companies. In Matters, I have a table (Matters) with a field for Clients. I know i can sync People and Companies to the Matters base. However, is there a way to link the records for People and Companies to the Client field? I only see a way for one or the other. 

Hello,I have a client base that needs to be shared and synchronized with more than three different bases in a one-way sync (from the client table to all other bases without allowing any modifications to the client data from those other bases).
