Base Design

Hello, I'm using Airtable to project manage a fabrication project where multiple units will be built throughout the year. One scenario I would like to track is when there is a single task that needs to be done for each unit, but only when that unit is ready. For example, the task "schedule logo wrap" needs to be done for each unit, but only when that unit is ready for it. What I would like to be able to visualize is how many units have been completed, and how many are left - maybe display a percentage or some other visual indicator. I'm not sure if I should just duplicate the same task for each unit, or I can role all units up under one single task.My current setup is:Unit Table - Lists each unit numberThanks!Tasks Table - List each task that needs to be done.

I'm working on creating a .csv to upload time shift data into another management system. (I don't have control over it.) The datetime format it requires is YYYY-MM-DD, HH:MMa. Airtable is setup without the comma. I'm struggling to create a formula to add the comma in. 

I'm creating a database to track the donations of our organization members and their households. My goal is to be able to create an interactive Interface for our Board to see the percentage of giving households vs non-giving households in any particular month. For example, if 6 out of 10 households gave in October, I'd want to see 60%;  if 3 households gave in December, I'd want to see 30%.Here's how I have the base set up so far:Donations: Every donation we receive is marked with the date received, the amount donated, the Member who donated (linked), and the Household the member belongs to (linked)Members: We have 100 members, each listed in this table and each linked to their Donation (if they've donated) and a designated Household (below)Households: For simplicity of illustration, I'll just say that we have 50 households (two Members in each Household record). Google calendars that are imported to Airtable - it looks like only 20 google calendars are allowed to be imported on a base. If we need more calendars on a base, then we need to create a new base? Is there a way to get more than 20 google calendars on a base? Please see screencast and pic attached

I would appreciate an option to limit the available times to schedule records to work hours (9 to 5). We can limit the dates shown to just weekdays, but available times are all over the date (2 am, 10 pm, etc.). This needs to be an option as someone may have events or projects outside of work hours or use the date field for something else. I have a manual entry date field for scheduling tasks on the calendar, and the UX is not optimized for selecting a time within work hours.

Hello community! I’m creating a table to manage a music school. To help with registration, I created a form and I’m quite happy with it. We want to give access to the form through our website so customers can register. I now need this form to be available in both French and English. My concern is mainly with dropdown fields. How would you proceed? Do you know of a way to avoid using a paying app? Thank you guys so much!

Hi. This seems like something trivial, but I can't seem to find any way to do this. I had synced two tables from a base to another.  During that time, various fields were renamed in Base A (the source table).  I noticed that the fields in Base B do not seem to get renamed as well, yet the sync remains active.  How can I know which is the fieldB name in Base B, which maps to fieldA in BaseA, without having to resort to guessing? 

I have a target base in a Workspace that is synced to several other bases all in one separate workspace. If I move this target base into the same workspace as the others, will this cause any issues with syncing or interface design?

Created a basic table in Grid View. Shared and embedded the List and was able to select multiple records, then select Download CSV and export the selected records. Nothing changed in the table, share, etc but now when selecting download CSV the selected rows are unselected. Even if all Rows are selected as soon as Download CSV is clicked the selection clears. In have searched the community and entered a support ticket and it does not seem like anyone has an answer here- I can download my entire table as a csv but that is not what I want- just want to choose the selected rows

First post here- I know I can easily build a form and connect results to Airtable- but can I connect a Form to an existing table for the user to select data from it? I have a table of workers by department with email address- I want the user to be able see and search this table (no problem) and then select users by email address from the table entries that will be submitted with the form.

Hi! So here's my problem: I manage an intranet platform for a very large company and I use Airtable for our editorial calendar. There is a special section on my platform of regularly scheduled content that is user-generated. There are four business areas (mine makes five) and together we are responsible for providing this user-generated content on a rotation each week. So each week there are four slots available but five business areas. So how do I create a scheduled rotation so that each business area gets a regular number of slots and that the total number of slots for each business area is more or less equal at the end of the year? Super basic example below:Week 1: 1, 2, 3, 4Week 2: 5, 1, 2, 3Week 3: 4, 5, 1, 2Week 4: 3, 4, 5, 1

I have created two forms within my base. As of last week, the fields for both form, #1 and form #2 were visible in my base and form #1, however, this week I noticed that many of the fields from my form #1 were missing from both the form and the base. I assume another editor went in there and messed around. I was able to recover form #1 based off a previous version of form #1  and was able to recover the base that showed fields from both form #1 and form #2, but I was wondering if there was any way to restore the previous version of the base and form #1 without having to rebuild form #1 completely and lose all the information that has already been submitted to the form.Thanks in advance for your help! 

Hi all!Here's a question... I'm making a basic task list in my base, I added a {Due Date} column with field type 'Date' and I have the time also showing in the same column. This will help me schedule tasks by date and time.Values in {Due Date} look like this '2/14/2024 5:00 pm'. I have another column {Date} with a simple formula DATETIME_FORMAT({Due Date}, 'MM/DD/YYYY') so I can get the date alone without the time.Heres the problem... Everytime I schedule a task pass 6:00 pm in the {Due Date} field, the {Date} value changes 1 day. Example:{Due Date} 2/14/2024 5:00 pm{Date} 2/14/2024{Due Date} 2/14/2024 6:00 pm{Date} 2/15/2024Help!

I am trying to build a B2B application and I want to keep the logical separation of data between the two customers. Let's say I want to give the ability to my user from Business X customer to choose an employee name from drop down that should be relative to their business. When a user from Business Y clicks the drop down, he should only see the employee names from their own business and not for both Business X and Business Y (which seems to be the current case). It is a privacy issue. I can manage this manually by creating visibility filters on softr.io or having a separate view on airtable for each customer, but it is not scalable. Is there an easy way to manage that?

I have a table of feedback for two cafes in a base. Each bit of feedback has an assigned category. I have another base that is linked to the category so that I can view aggregated data such as average feedback score by category. This data is then visualized outside of Airtable. The problem is that in Airtable as category is the primary, it lumps the cafes together in each row, so from this table I can't distinguish one from another. I need an output where I can see organisation as a breakdown of the  category. Something like this (almost like a pivot table structure):How would I go about designing my base in order to achieve that?

We review a variety of documents for client. Such as bylaws, legal governance documents, and financial statements. Currently I have a base and a form set up. The form allows a client to submit the documents they would like to have reviewed and provide their client information. Once that is submitted the base is populated with the documents broken down by category, the clients name and contact, and a unique ID for the batch of documents. At this point we vet the documents to confirm they are the right ones start to extract the information that we need. Data can be in the form of select phrases within a set of bylaws, critical dates of documents expiring or when they were registered, and the financial details of a document. Once this is done we create a summary of our findings and present it back to the client. This is largely done manually at this point with a few automations. We want to start fully automating this process and use Airtable to store our data. B

Background:I work for a training provider, offering courses online and in-person. We work with ~50 (and counting...) independent instructors to deliver our live Zoom and field sessions.When scheduling our course deliveries, our Program Managers reach out to instructors with the correct skillset and book according to availability (they're mostly self-employed so have commitments that we don't have visibility of). Once booked, PM allocates the instructor to that specific delivery. In Airtable, that's currently a link between our Instructor table and [Year] Deliveries table.Many of our deliveries are multi-week courses that involve instructors teaching different weeks/modules. One 10 week delivery often has 20 instructors allocated to it.We can have multiple deliveries running at any one time, with different instructor skillsets required.

I have a column with linked records and I do not want the column to have more than 6 records. I do allow multiple linking but is it possible to put a restriction on how many records can be entered? [I want more than 1 but less than equal to 6]. ThanksChandrika

I have a primary field which is an autonumber and I want to change it to a formula (pad the number with zeros, concatenate with another field etc.). My plan is to keep the autonumber, create a formula field, and then change the primary field to be the formula field.Is there any risk with that? can such action break any dependencies? scripts?

Hello. I have a form in one table called "Creative Requests" that has a column to assign it to a project once the form is submitted. In a separate table called tasks, I have a list of what everyone is responsible for. The tasks in the form responses aren't pulling into the tasks even when they're under a project. I am thinking it's because the fields aren't the same, but is there any workaround for this or any suggestions of how to get these tasks all in one location without moving the forms to the same table as tasks?

Hello everyone. I intend to connect interviews (synced to Airtable from a Google Calendar account) to different records, each one of which represent a single deliverable. The constraint that I face is that if I connect more than one interview to the same deliverable, only the first one appears in the Calendar View of the same table. Can someone help me resolve this?Thank you in advance!
