Base Design

Has any headway been made toward the goal of being able to display the results of the survey during live group polling? I remember seeing some community debate about the need for such functionality around a year ago. Still, I haven't seen anything recent that indicates any work being made in that respect. In my rollup fields (on multiple bases), I don't have the option to add a condition shown in this article: https://support.airtable.com/docs/rollup-field-referenceWhy would that option not be showing up for me? (I have a Pro account)Here's what I'm seeing...Here's what's shown in the article:

I am trying to create a table that is linked to a Box folder where I have hundreds of folders inside the root folder. Those folders contain other sub-folders and tens of thousands of files. (Root Folder>Folder>sub-folders/files). I don't want all the (sub)folders and files to be synched to my table, just the folders. In other words, I want all the information to live inside of box and just have a button/link to click to open the folder where the (sub)folders and files reside. There doesn't seem to be a way to just have the folders synched without it trying to synch all the (sub)folders and files. Needless to say, it quickly hits the 10,000 record limit. Howevere, all the folders I actually want to see are included within the synched table. I can create a filter to weed out the sub-folders and files, but I don't want that information just hanging around burning up records (counting towards my record limit). I hope all that makes sense. Does anyone know a way to just synch the fold

I have several views that show the icons without the words - it's driving me crazy that I can't figure out how to put them back, or how they got this way in the first place.Please send help! And please also don't ever make me have to deal with that truly circular, frustrating and unhelpful bot on the help bubble.

I have a base with two tables. One table is contacts while another is companies. For my contacts, I have a field called location which is a series of metros: NY, SF, DC, London, etc...I'd like my companies' table location field to have the same list of locations. Is there a way to reuse the field, but not have them link to one another?(I dont anticipate wanting to ever connect a contact to a company, and if i do it would be with different data than what i have in my contacts records anyway)

Hi,My problem is I have a team of 3 including me, and I created 3 tables, the problem is when I update the other table for my other team it change the 3 tables including mine and theirs. Anyone can help me here? pls pls pls

When I paste more cells into a table than it has, the expand table message comes up. I click ok and nothing happens. Happening in all bases in my account... JL

Hi AllI have a base with 3 tables: Routes, Passengers, and Absences. The Routes table has multiple passenger fields, which are linked record fields to the Passengers table. The Absences table has a passenger field, which is a linked record field to the Passengers table and has a lookup field to the associated route field - as well as a date of absence. When an absence is added to the Absence table, it pulls the route the passenger is on. If a passenger changes route, the linked record lookup field for the route in Absences will change for past absences. This means the data in Absences is no longer historically representative. What is the best way to preserve the original route that is pulled through onto records in the Absences table? Preferably I would avoid: a) having the route name in an extra text field or b) creating a linked record field directly to Routes rather than using a lookup field, but open to all solutions. Thanks in advance for your help!

How do I have a formula based on 2 different multi-select fields, that will add a specified number to the resulting formula, based on how many options were selected for each multi-select field?Remember that each multi-select will be adding on different number.Here is my formula so far.   (IF( {Pull Factors Attract}, LEN({Pull Factors Attract}) - LEN( SUBSTITUTE( {Pull Factors Attract}, ",", "" ) ) ) + 0 ) * 2 + (IF( {Bonus Pull Factors}, LEN({Bonus Pull Factors}) - LEN( SUBSTITUTE( {Bonus Pull Factors}, ",", "" ) ) +0 ) + 2 ) * 1   You can see an example base here. Here is the scores I would like added for each option chosenPull Factors Attract: 2Bonus Pull Factors: 1However it's not quite working with records with an empty field.

HelloI'm testing airtable and I want to make a database with all my trial cases. These are cases that we must check  with some regularity, the idea is that each case generates a record and that once the record is created, it will be assigned to a role of periodic reviews, meaning, each case must be check by my staff every 3 months to update de info of each case an check the task or actions that we need to take with every case.  So  My desire is to create some kind of automation to generate monthly an e- mail to me an my assistant to check those cases that reach the 3 month period and need to be checked for updates.  Also, I already have a lot of existing cases, and my goal is to divide those cases in groups to not overwhelm my assistant with all the cases needing a review at the same time, but I don’t know how to do that.  Hope someone can help me, and sorry if my English is not good, is not my native language

Hi.I have a large table with Approx 110 Fields, 90 Views, 6,500 records and a number of automations etc. The table was created using the Emailed Data Sync as its Source. I need to duplicate this table, delete the records and then start using a fresh set of records. I receive the below error when I go to duplicate, I can only assume due to the size of the Table. It says to contact Airtable if the error continues to occur, which it does. I contacted Airtable, only to get the automated 'Please look at the Help sections' or use the chat function, neither of which have worked for me.I have cleared my Cache as suggested by Airtable, but this doesn't resolve the issue. I can see that I can't toggle off the option to Dulipcate the Records when I go to dup. the table - this isn't an issue from myside, but maybe the number of records is causing it to fail?! Just wondering if anybody has any work around for being able to duplicate an Emailed Data Source table or any idea about the error. Looking for a way to use Conditions to view something like this: Where Lookup Field  matches Linked Field I want to show all the date/times from a lookup field that corolate with the same employee who completed a form. Hopefully, the screenshot below helps explain it better?  

I'm having trouble creating a Form that I can use for Performance Ratings, and having that Form's fields update the Record field for the table. I believe I might have this architected in not the best way. Let me explain below.I have a Table that list Vendor Records. Each Record tracks, names, locations, services, cost, etc.Additionally, these Vendor Records also track 4 Performance Rating Fields.In the Table Table, I created a Form, with the intention that I could provide this form to managers quarterly, and Have them fill in the 4 Ratings fields for the Vendors they manage. When I create these events, I don't yet know the day(s) on which they will take place and their quantity (number of days).Would it be possible that when I add 1 day (or more) to a project, it creates a new record on another page ("expected" page)?

Hello,I'm reaching out for ideas for doing an Accounting Forms (like a Check Request form) through Airtable. I love using forms to reduce data entry, however, I haven't been able to find a form that I can use to complete something as "complex" 😂 as a check request, specifically with multiple itemized lines presented in a Grid Format. Among other things, this Check Request Form would need Account Code, Description, and Dollar Amount *for multiple lines*. Hi everyone! Well I’ve been using AirTable to help me organize my inventory and sales orders. But now I’m trying to build a template to help me organize my construction project. In general I’m trying to set up a tab in my table that tells me how much money I have available, so that it takes all of the money we’ve received from the client in different instances and subtracts all of the money given to different contracts and shows us how much is available. When using linked records, is it possible to apply a value to only the first linked record in a cell?So if I have two tables.Table ATable BWith Table A, I'd like to find a way for the Revenue to only be a logged against the first linked record in the Products column. Is there a way to do this?(I can't do it the other way around - so applying the rollup to the first linked record only in the Sales column on table B, since I do need to be able to sum multiple Sales in this column). Effectively, I need to be able to roll up revenue from sales against each product, but in cases where multiple products are placed against a sale in Table A, I only want the revenue to be assigned to the first product in the list. Hope that makes sense. Thanks.   

Previously, the table was shared and synced, but troubleshooting was done after disabling it.  Once I delete records, it re-generates deleted records back within a few minutes (less than 2 minutes), just like the undoing delete operation. Any ideas about possible scenarios? No automation is relevant to the table.

Hello there! I work with an organization that produces a 50-concert summer festival. We have about 120 Season Pass Holders, about half of whom show up to any given concert. We would like to check them in at each concert and track their overall attendance.Each person receives a physical Season Pass (a 3x5 laminate) that they bring to the concert, so my hope was to include a unique QR code on each pass that corresponds to a unique ID for each pass holder. Then our Front of House staff could scan that QR code via the Airtable app on their phone, and it would create a record of them having checked in for that concert.One thought is that each concert could be its own view, and then any check-ins within that view could be clearly reconciled. Maybe that check-in could just be a timestamp, or it could be that when the staff scans their QR, it gives them an option to toggle a "check-in" switch.Open to any all suggestions, and grateful for your help!

I.e. referencing the attribute value in the Attributes Table from the Potions Table with an additional value of some type (in this example an integer)?The use case there is pretty simple and straightforward. I was also wondering if that's not possible if we could join then two columns into one? upgrading to Airtable's Enterprise plan would remove the base row limits and allow more automations, but as of my knowledge , it is very expensive around 10k$?We have a large dataset that exceeds the 100,000 row limit per Airtable base. We also need more than the 25 automations allowed in the base. Upgrading to Enterprise is not feasible due to high cost.  We're looking for more affordable solutions to handle our large dataset size and automation needs within Airtable's business solutions. Has anyone found creative ways to structure large datasets across multiple linked bases or integrate affordable supplementary tools to overcome Airtable limits?We'd love to hear any cost-effective ideas or solutions that don't involve upgrading to the expensive Enterprise tier.Even partial solutions could give us ideas to explore further. We greatly appreciate any insights the community can offer!

I’m creating a database of training staff have completed. I want to be able to cross reference between a table of staff and a table of training so I can:pull up a staff member’s records to see what training they’ve carried outsee the different training that has been carried out and expiry dates of thoseSo I can store the data, I’ve currently got it set as one table that does everything but when I add new training for a member of staff, I need to copy their data (team etc) for that new training. Or when I create a new training for lots of people, I’m having to copy the course details for everyone (course name, date etc).Complications are that there will be courses that staff will complete on different days but it would be good to view them in the training table all together.I can’t visualise how the two will work together or how to set it up. Hi all,I am trying to create a grid view in which I keep track of projects (the latter come into through Airtable forms).Each project goes through 6 stages with specific tasks associated to them (the tasks are always the same for each project). I would like to have a list that shows the tasks that have been completed for each project against the ones that are missing and, on the basis of this, I'd like to be able to track the progress (through a progress bar/formula?).Is is possible? If so, how could I set this up?
