Base Design

Hi Airtable gurus,I'm working with a set of bases structured in the following logic:Partner base: list of partners and their metadata (e.g. legal status, primary contact, website etc.)Case base: list of cases and their metadata (e.g. region, industry, case manager etc.)Practice bases (multiple): combines where partners are impacting cases. (Yes ideally this would have been one master base, but for reasons outside of my control right now that is not something we can play with)Case x Partner rollup: base that rolls up all the individual practice base activityWe are now trying to build a single interface that can display the partner information and to display analytics for cases by partner (and for e.g. region and industry cuts of the case activity) but I'm finding it difficult to connect back the partner base to these transactional records of 'cases x partner' so that it can be displayed in a single interface. Today I noticed that when adding records to the the bottom/Level 1 of a List view that is filtered on that bottom level, none of the filtered conditions pre-populate, so the new record is automatically filtered out. I tested this in several Base List views and Interface List views, and the behavior was consistent.This is easy to fix with as simple automation, but the thing is... I was working in the same base and interface yesterday, and I swear this wasn't happening then. Yesterday, adding records to a filtered view prepopulated the filtered fields with the filtered values, just like in a grid view.Is this a new bug, or am I just misremembering how the List view behavior was working previously?

The table column I work with is usually in the monitor screen's center. If I need to edit a description or a formula, I press the arrow on the right side of the field name and then press the "Edit field". The edit window appears in the center and to the left. It appears right below the main line with the field names. This window immediately overlaps the data in two or three fields. Often this is the important data I need for writing the formula. How can I move this window down for two or three rows? 

I want certain fields in my table to auto-populate with the designated default values I've given them. While it is working as expected when I add records manually, it does not work when I import records. I am trying to avoid using automations as I want to keep my automation runs low, and this particular use case would cause them to run up rather quickly. Anyone else run into a similar issue? Good day y'all,I have an issue with my Base page freezing whenever filter is changed to find another item. Browser will then very often freeze and a window will appear asking me if I want to "wait" or kill page. Other tabs on the browser will work just fine (as long if it isn't this particular Base). Other notable mentioning: Used/test on Brave and Chrome browser and Airtable Windows Desktop App Desktop/laptop systems resources are not 100% (CPU or Memory) utilized48,284 / 50,000 Records utilized8 active Automations6 tabs (the majority of data) are synced from other BasesQuite a large amount of columns consisting of Formulas Is there any reasons particular this is happening? What issue would I need to address first to relief the system from the stress?This is pretty critical for the business the daily operations. Unfortunately the support team hasn't responded since yesterday. So here I am 😞

Hi there! Hoping someone can shed some insight!Context:My primary table tracks billing for the month for multiple clients.  The total amount billed for each client is calculated from a reference table based on the current services each client is using. These totalare  updated each month and then sent to our billing department for invoicing. For simplicity sake, fields are:Field 1: CompanyField 2: Total Current Monthly ChargesGoal: I would like to send the total current monthly charges for that month for each client to a separate table so I have a record of what each client was billed that month in order to track month over month revenue and have a historical record. I'm weary of a date specific automation as billing finalization date can vary.  Ideal End Result:1. Finalize totals for the month2. Click button that says "Finalize" for a record3. A new record is created in a separate table with the following info:Field 1: Record Name ("Client" & "Sign Off

I often have to monitor and check my users in order to make sure none has been added as a builder because it is risky to let anyone build and modify bases and also in terms of pricing can cause issues.Thank you very much for the help

Hi community,I am using integromat to create Gslide presentations from Airtable data.In each airtable record, I have elements like name, position, company and a picture from our student.My scenario was working properly until recently, because there was an evolution regarding attachment URL behavior in Airtable.Since, every element is "transferred" on the Gslide presentation, but not the picture.I have created a field with a formula to mimic the old link (like: https://dl.airtable.com/.attachments/c3514c423036281518ab5715eca5c650/04c00db3/Swile_Rebuild_by_Superflow) but it's not working.The URL file starting by "v5..." isn't working either.Ideally, I'd like to be able to download the file from a link (I haven't figured how to get a working link yet) on Gdrive, and get that file to add to my presentation. I'm new to no-code and I may not have the correct approach, and I'd love to learn more about that if some of you are willing to help.I'm attaching a screenshot of the scenario

Hello, I'm running a group hostel, and to track the activity I created a table that list every client I have, their day of arrival and departure. When I create a new reservation (new record), I add the day of arrival and departure. And a formula takes out the month and year of the arrival, and a group setting that group the reservations by the month, so I have every reservation group by month.But I have one issue : when a customer stay on 2 different months (like you can see for client 2, staying in may and june) he is only in the 2023/05 group, and not on the 2023/06 group. I would like to see client 2 on the 2023/05 groupe AND the 2023/06 group, so when I look at the 2023/06 group, I know he is here.You can see the table right here. (I remove all of the irrevelvant fields for (as payment tracking, details of reservation ..) to make it more easy to read). Thank you for your help!

I have a Yes or No question in one column. I only want to enter data in the following column if the answer is Yes. If the answer is No the following column remains blank. So what I am looking for is the following:Caregiver Field: Yes or No.Caregiver Name: If yes, enter name of caregiverIs it possible if the answer is Yes, enter name of caregiver in the following column, and the next column would allow to enter a type of relationship. Hello everyone,I want to allow a list of people (whose information are already stored in a table) to book different events in a Calendar they could access. The booking system would allow them to see all upcoming events, and register to the ones that we still have availabilities for (let's say 5 participants maximum per event for example).I had access to the "No-Conflict Asset Reservations" template, and it seems promising, but it implies that the Assets will be available 24/7, whereas I would like to let people choose among a list of pre-defined slots.All the registrants will be pre-existing records in my "People" tab. I have two tables: Tenders and Companies. Each record in the tenders table is a tender (contract) between a governmental entity and a company. The tender table has a column "keyword" which is a way to group similar tenders.I'll try to explain my problem with a demo base. It's of type 'count' (it is filtered only to count each keyword)Now, to turn the table from wide data schema into a narrow one, I can just use the table optimizer script available in the marketplace. The issue appears when we talk about my real data and real base. I have 81 Keywords and the tenders table is updated every week so a new keyword might be added anytime. Hi,I'm trying to create a new table using CSV file with field name and data type only, without sample data using Airtable interface, not API. For ex, Field 1,Field 2,Field 3text,number,dateThe expected output is a table with three fields named “Field 1”, “Field 2”, and “Field 3”. Hi, I am new (1 week) to Airtable.I have a Base with 2 tables. Table 1 has 1 Company field. Table 2 has 2 fields : Company and Database.Table 1 is filled with 200 records.Company1 / Database1Company1 / Database2Company1 / Database3Company2 / Database4Etc.....When I choose the Company Company1 in Table 2, then in the Database field I only want to see the records that are linked to Company1, namely Database1, Database2 and Database3.Is this possible!RegardsMichel

My company current has a pro plan.  Is there a way to group users by either creating another table or is Airtable planning on releasing this feature to pro plan users?

The column name is too long and doesn't move to new lines when I shrink the column. Can you suggest a way to move part of the name to a different line? Thank you for any suggestions!

Good day,I have a column named Final report type (Link to RPC) wherein if this is the company, then this should be the report type that should be seen. However, there are instances if the company is seen 2 or more times, the report type is not being disclosed (see screenshot). I would like to ask if this would be done via an automation script? or a simple editing of the field column? Thanks

I have a linked record field. What I want is the ability to then breakout these linked records into different fields, essentially different departments.However a lookup field on the primary field returns text, not the blue link field.This means I lose the ability to click into that record with added details, or navigate using interfaces. Any thoughts on making this possible?  

Can I filter and see results from all tables in a base?I’ve attempted to make a master table and link files to records from other tables but when filtering from within the “master table” it doesn’t search inside the linked record so it always pulls up as no results found. Is there a way to do this? Even being able to duplicate a record and apply it to a different table instead of only duplicating within its own table would be helpful to save me time copying and pasting every field. I am using mobile and I know it doesn’t have all of the options as the desktop version which is a bummer. But that’s possibly the source of my issues if these capabilities already exist in your desktop model. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Aside from filtering between tables I have no complaints and absolutely love the product.

In the free version of Airtable, I created a single select field, now I want to change it to a multiple select field. Is that possible?How do you do it?

I'm looking for help calculating a team's weekly capacity on projects that have a bucket of hours spread over multiple weeks (i.e. Copy = 20, Design = 40, etc.). Currently my reporting pulls in the entire amount. Ideally Airtable would automatically spread the hours out so if the above project took four weeks, each wee would have 5 hours for copy and 10 hours for design.Alternatively, I would be happy with formulas that would take into consideration remaining hours left on a project during a specific week. So if someone reported that they were 50% done with a project, the above project would have 10 hours of copy left and 20 hours of design. This calculation would need to be updated as the project progressed.

Hi,I already posted regarding this but thought I would try again to hopefully get fresh eyes on the issue.Our Company emails out individual records using the iOS app. The email previously displayed the record in a  table format, however now it is emailed as a hyperlink - which then directs to the table on the airtable website.Can someone please help with a solution to change it back to sending the email as a table. This change only arose since the latest couple of app updates.Thanks!
