Hi all...I'm sure this has been asked before so apologies for asking again. I have searched but any article I think might give me the guidance I need ends up getting confusing...possibly due to my lack of understanding but I think at this stage, my best option is to ask myself.I've created a purchase order system and it's all working fine except for one thing. For the purchase order number, I want it to be "Year-Cost Centre-Number" with the number component being a sequential count of previous orders for that same cost centre. That sequential count is where I'm running into bother - so far all I've managed to achieve is a sequential count of all purchase orders which works, but it's not my ideal set up. My base structure is:Purchase Requests table - this is the main table and is meant to manage the whole purchase order processCost Centres - table of all cost centres, linked back to the Purchase Requests tablePurchasers - table of anyone with permission to request purchases (not re

Hello eveybody, I am wondering if it is possible, when we want to add a new record (in a linked record field) not to have the possibility to select from an existing record but only to add a new one. Indeed, we are using in some cases this functionnality for part of the tram to link some procedure or consultation to a specific case (we go legal work) but the team seem confused when the list of existing consultations appear. We would like to give them only the possibility to create a new entry. Is it a possibility? I am also wondering if the preview of the record can be limited to the name of the record and not to include all those many information (also confusing the team a lot).  Thanks in advance.  

I am building an inventory management base for my business and am running into a design problem:1. I have a table for parts.2. I also have a table for assemblies. Each assembly record has a field that links to multiple records from the parts table.Simple, however, I want to be able to say how many of each part goes into an assembly. Parts go into different assemblies in different quantities, so that data can’t (and shouldn’t) be stored in the part record.How can I say one assembly uses 2 of a part and a different assembly uses 3 of that part. (And I need a table of all the assemblies.) Hope that makes sense! I would appreciate any solutions.

I have a base that stores plant information, including photos of each plant in an attachment field. I use a formula to put the attachment URL into a field. Here's what I do with that information to create a web map of my plants:1. Download a CSV of a table that contains the relevant data, including the attachment URLs.2. Upload the CSV into ArcGIS Online to serve as the data for a web map.3. Use the Attachment URL field data to display the plant photos in map pop-ups. Hey Airtable community,My service business has multiple income streams, ranging from one-time to ongoing projects.I am attempting to create a table that can total both one-time revenue and requiring revenue for the month that income comes in. I am having a hard time getting my head around how to do this.I first have a date column with the date the project started and then a formula column that formates the date to just the month so that I can group by month.Currently, I'm only accounting for one-time revenue. I was thinking I could create another date column with automation to duplicate on the same day every month for recurring payments. From here, I don't know how I would total both one-time and recurring payments in a given month?Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I run a small company that makes products using parts from an inventory and sells them to vendors. I'm trying to achieve the following - I receive an order, I enter the order as an invoice which includes all the information about which products are ordered, the database checks the amount of raw parts I have in stock and tells me whether I have enough to make the products in the order. Currently I have few tables with junctions between them - a table with a list of parts, a table with the details of products and what parts are needed to make them, a table with a list of products with each product as a one line entry. Then I have invoices and a junction with invoice detail which use the product information. Currently I am using a one line entry to indicate whether an invoice is yet to be made or completed, I want a system that will tell me which parts I need to complete an invoice and then whether I have enough, which parts of the order can be made ok and which can't. I have a problem with CSV import that is messing up all the data. When I try to import CSV with more than one record with the same Primary field name, it updates another field to be the same. For example: Data 1:  Frederik (Primary Field) | Kiyomizu 1 (Field) Data 2:  Frederik (Primary Field) | Kiyomizu 2 (Field) Data 3:  Frederik (Primary Field) | Kiyomizu 3 (Field) It updates as: Data 1:  Frederik (Primary Field) | Kiyomizu 1 (Field) Data 2:  Frederik (Primary Field) | Kiyomizu 1 (Field)  <--- incorrect data in fieldData 3:  Frederik (Primary Field) | Kiyomizu 1 (Field)  <--- incorrect data in field Is there any way to work around this glitch? Please bear with me since I'm new to Airtable and this is hard to explain.  I've inherited a base which contains details on job descriptions which is to be used to merge into a Formstack docs.Main Tab lists the details of each job description in rows. (eg. title, reports to, requirements level, requirements...).  2nd Tab contains job requirement levels in rows.  (eg Level 1, Level 2...)  A column in this second tab contains bulleted lists of the requirements.  The main tab has a column for Requirement Level(s) and a job can have multiple levels linking to the records in the 2nd tab. So this column has links to multiple records/levels. The problem is with a lookup field/column in this main tab. It pulls Levels requirements (pulling from multiple records if more than one Level). So returning and combining bulleted lists from multiple records.However when it does this, it will automatically adds a comma into the lookup field between the bulleted lists from the rec

I have one table in a base that has a list of different artists under management, the "Artists Base", lets say group A, group B, group C, etc. In another table of contacts, I have a field that is a link to the "Artists Base". Instead of selecting all the artists from group A, is there a way I can create a group tag to assign all artists in Group A to a particular contact?

I have a course of instruction which is 65 days long.  Inside of each day I have specific learning objectives to accomplish.  Currently my objective table links to a course flow table which is 65 days of training.  Along with these 2 tables is an instructor table and a table which covers the 20 teams we have coming through the course’s start date and graduation date for this fiscal year.  My question, is there an easier way to populate in a calendar the 65 days of training for each team to be only on week days based off the start and graduation date table?  I have tried creating a specific table addressing every day of the week, however it is quite time consuming especially when dealing with 20 different teams each covering 65 days of training.  Thank you for your time.

Hi all,I think I'm close, but I just can't workout how to get the forecasting base I'm building to show Monthly sales vs Monthly Forecasts when I want to track them across an additional split out by stream.I have this Monthly table linked to the projects table, but only solution I can see next is to pull in Each Stream's target as a look up field regardless if it's relevant to that project. Monthly ForecastingProject TableI'm also trying to see if I can get it to work visually instead using the Chart Extension, so any advice there also welcome. And please - if this isn't clear enough - do ask questions! Hi, I'm a complete beginner to airtable so sorry if this is a dumb question, but here goes anyway.. I created a product table which is a collection of parts grouped by name. I want to then use the name of each product as a single select field in a new table, but instead I get all the entries for every part within that product.Ultimately I want to display price information for each product - sum of all the parts cost, wholesale price etc.

HiI have two tables - Registration and BookingsBoth tables relate to the same customers.Customers submit their Registration forms and they are updated at least annually. There is an automation that links new or updated Registration records to another table, which has a roll-up to find the most recently created record for each customer. There is a formula field in the Registration table that compares the created date of a record to the most recent date from the roll-up. I filter on that formula field so in the Registration table I only see the most recent submission although all previous submissions are still available.Customers submit a Booking form every time they want to make a booking so there may be a number of booking records for each customer.I would like to link the tables so that I can create a view which has the most recent Registration record and all the Booking records for each customer.What is the best/simplest way to do this.Thank you. 

Is there any way to see sync status of a record in the source base?I am trying to trigger an automation inside the source base once that record is synced.

I have two tables (Table A and Table B) linked to a common table (Table C).When adding a new linked Table C record from Table A or B:I want Table A to use View 1 from Table C.I want Table B to use View 2 from Table C.View 1 and View 2 have two different input requirements upon creation so they have different field orders and visibility.How can I achieve this? Hello!I'm attempting to optimize my Calendar view, and I'm running into an issue.I have a table with tasks that fall in three categories:Multiple Days (Start and End dates are different)Single Day (Start and End date are the same)Deadline/Milestone (only End date is filled out)In Gantt view and Timeline view, these work great. The issue is Calendar view. I duplicate the Start and End dates for Single Day events because it then shows the event as taking a full workday (which is important for our workflow, and it differentiates it from a deadline/milestone)In Calendar view, the start and end date appear as separate cards, essentially becoming duplicates. I could use a date range, but because of the volume of multi day events we have, this would make is extremely difficult to read the calendar. Is there any way I can merge the start and end dates into one card in Calendar view if they are the same, while maintaining the ability to move them around on the view itself? Until the new redesign this week I don't there was any way for ppl to see the column descriptions on shared views. The new UI redesign changes that since the column description icon shows up on the top right of the column.I think this might be a data sensitivity issue, as some folks (including me) use column descriptions for internal notes that don't apply to shared views
