I just tried the new “improved Home Screen”This time, the UX team reached a new level of make things worse. 1. Why do you need this column on the left with so much dead space just for Home Buton, a Help shortcut, Notifications and your profile??? Really Why?Colors tables dont respond to the color base...it is just a light hue of the color you choose. Horrible at least.   What is the point of moving  the toolbar on the right? what’s wrong with the previous one? Icons, graphics, looks sharper and cleani have to say and create a visually pleasant experience. But Honestly, moving things just for the sake of refreshing the UI< is ridiculous.

I would like to request the ability to add custom vertical lines or markers at user-defined intervals in Timeline view.Use case:In Agile project management, we organize work into sprints (usually every 2 weeks). It would be extremely helpful to visually separate these periods in Timeline view by adding vertical lines or markers at custom intervals (e.g., every 2 weeks, starting from a date I specify). This would make it easier to plan, track progress, and communicate timelines to my team.

We’ve been using Airtable as a backend for lightweight apps — like a project dashboard for clients, or a form submission portal that touches multiple tables.Interfaces help a bit, but they don’t quite support login, user-based permissions, or multi-table forms. We ended up building a role-aware portal layer that connects to Airtable and lets users view, edit, or create records based on their role — it’s now ClientlyBase, but it started as a personal workaround. Just curious if others here are building similar “mini apps” on Airtable. The Long Text field in Airtable is currently way too small. It was previously possible to expand the size of the long text field to make it easier to read…. long text….I wish that they would bring back the option to resize this field so that it wasn’t such a pain to use. If resizing isn’t possible to bring back, then I wish that they would either:1) Expand the default size significantly;2) Allow users to make the long text field full screen; or3) Make the Long Text input box responsive so that it increases and decreases in size based on the amount of long text that is in the field.This would prevent users from having to constantly scroll to see long text in the long text field. We don’t need this to be as feature friendly as a full scale text editor (although that would also be great), but it should at least allow you to easily see the long text that is in this field without having to scroll for hours. It’s a huge pain to use for long text in its current form. So much wasted space!!!

I am currently using the Microsoft Suite and Google Suite for my business but I am now looking for a tool that can do it all in one platform. My client just spent 5 minutes raving about how a small fix genuinely improved the quality of life for their staff. So thought to share.They run a medical services biz. For managing charts, appointments, etc., they use "Jane," which is super HIPAA compliant (so no API, of course). For the extra workflows Jane can't do, they export PHI-stripped data to Airtable weekly and also use Asana for patient-specific tasks.The problem? Practitioners in Jane needing to see Asana tasks for a patient had this annoying little dance: copy PatientUID from Jane URL, tab over to Asana, paste, search, pray. We have a lot of information to view when we click on a record to view its details. I find myself scrolling up and down a lot looking for the exact group I need. It would be very helpful if there was a way to easily jump to a group in the interface. Or at the very least, make the groups collapsible so they’re easier to view and expand.What do you think? Hello, I am a dog trainer who does  in home private sessions (sold in packages of 3,5, 7 and 9 sessions).I am looking for a way to keep track of where I am with each client (how many lessons have they used/ how many lessons are left?). I also need a way to keep track if I have sent a follow up email after each sessions. I got the idea of Airtable after ChatGPT gave me an example of this base, but alas, the AI cannot create said base. I also need a real person I can tweak things with. I tried to do it myself, I get frustrated not being familiar with AirTable.  I will provide more specifics, but this is pretty much it.

Here’s a topic that was looking for a good answer on this, and one that gives an answer that I think can be improved upon: Rolling Customer Number Based On Year Base design I need to create a customer number that includes the year, and an accruing customer number. E.g. 2020-0001, 2020-0002, etc. The thing is, every year, the year has to change in the customer number, and the four numbers after it have to reset. So if the last number of 2020 is 2020-1234, the first number of 2021 will be 2021-0001 again. I can get the year from the Created Time field The problem is the numbers after the year… I figure I can’t use an autonumber because it won’t reset each year. …
