Hi folks, I thought I’d take a moment to share what we’ve built with Airtable. We call our product InspectorPrime. It is a business suite for home and commercial property inspectors. Our clients can purchase the system one time for a lifetime company license. This provides them with both a capable CRM/office management system and a report writing system. Overall, it allows these companies to own/customize (to an extent) their business software while saving them quite literally tens of thousands of dollars over current proprietary inspection software. I hope by sharing this others can see just how deep they can get into creating custom solutions for specific industries. Happy to answer any questions here or at jon@inspectorprime.com. 

Right now you can @ a user in record-comments, but you can’t @ a record as far as I can see.   It’s very common to want to reference other records in comments.  Yes I know I can link to other records in a record - but that doesn’t provide the context that an @-mention in comment would.   E.g. in a record named “Collapse map icons when zoomed out” - we may want to @-mention another record like“We should make sure that we coordinate with [@Prevent map zoom from jumping when witching to map-mode] on this one as they have overlapping parts” Bonus points if this triggers a reverse comment on the mentioned record like:“This record was mentioned in [@Collapse map icons when zoomed out]> We should make sure that we coordinate with [@Prevent map zoom from jumping when witching to map-mode] on this one as they have overlapping parts” Desireata“@” in a comment triggers a search not just over users but als

I am looking for someone to revamp and make my database on Airtable more efficient. We use it for a medical practice from the start of the intake, to the scheduling, to the preapproval process, to appeals, to scheduling, to efiling. We’ve been testing AI agents in production since around April 2025, and what’s already working well is the shift away from rigid trigger action workflows toward agent-led orchestration. Instead of chaining dozens of conditional steps, we’re using agents to interpret context, decide the next action, and only fall back to deterministic logic for guardrails (validation, approvals, cost limits, and failure handling). In practice, this has reduced workflow complexity and made automations far more resilient to edge cases and changing inputs. For those deploying agents today: how are you structuring the balance between agent autonomy and manual or rule-based oversight? What decisions do you still refuse to fully delegate?

I’ve been working on AirTable for a few years now, and I’ve developed a decent set of tooling for inspecting and documenting particularly complex AirTable bases.
