I am building a complex workflow for a project-based business. In this workflow, if multiple customers are associated with a job, the job is duplicated for each customer (City Building 1, City Building 2). Furthermore, if multiple versions of the job are required by customer A, there might end up being City Building 1 and City Building 1.1, and then City Building 2. In the end, there will just be one job selected (ex: City Building 2). I know that comments copy over at the time a record is duplicated, but I'm wondering if there is a solution for somehow keeping all the comments for City Building together without a bunch of annoying copying and pasting. Sometimes there are addendums etc, in addition to the multiple versions of a job. Basically, I'm trying to preserve the historical record inside the record (rather than in email threads). I also don't want to just use a notes field because then users cannot @ each other...Is there another out-of-the-box solutio

I've been tasked to create an interface that serves as a self-help page for people who encounter common tech issues. I also want them to be able to rate whether the solution helped them, but seems when using record interface won't allow a public user to interact with the rating element even after making it editable. Everything else is working except this component. Is there a workaround for this? 

I would like to have 3 tabs for each page in my interface. I want Tab 1 to display fields A-M, Tab 2 to display fields N-Z, and Tab 3 to be "All collections" and display fields A-Z. Every time that I try to change the fields that are being displayed in the tab, it also applies those same changes to the other tabs.How do I display different fields for each tab in the same interface page?

How do I allow users to search / sort / group within the list view in Interfaces?If I first start with the List view using the Wizard, it doesn't allow give me an option to add levels. The only way I can do this is to start with a blank interface, then select List as an element to add.BUT when I do that, I don't have any options for users to search / sort / group.Am I missing something here? Why are there two different sets of options depending on how I select the List view?First screenshot from List Interface through wizard (no levels option), and second screen shot from adding List as an element on Blank template (no sort option).One additional frustrating thing is that the only way I see to add fields from a specific saved view is to use the List option from a blank template.

Why, oh why, do I not have control of how I order elements on a Dashboard interface? I want to put a list view first, at the top of the interface. There seems to be no way to do that. The first option to add is a count, then I can add bar graphs and pie charts, etc, and then lists and pivot tables have to go at the bottom. A list or pivot table can't be dragged to the top, nor the pie and bar graphs dragged below. This is a huge pain and I do not understand why there is no option to arrange elements the way I want them, the way they make the most sense. Am I missing something here? Doing something wrong?

Trying to get my dashboard interface to show a graph with multiple Y axis that links to a record picker. So far, I've only been able to get 1 Y axis, I can get multiple Y axis when I don't use a record picker though.  

I have a database with two separate tabs that are not related to each other:Projects Tab: This tracks projects, including their start and end dates.General Tasks Tab: This contains various tasks assigned to people only when they are not working on a project.Currently, I have an Interface with a Timeline View that displays the start and end dates of each project, grouped by person. This allows me to visualize the workload of each individual based on their assigned projects.I would like to enhance this Timeline by also including the information from the General Tasks tab. This way, I can see the complete workload of all team members, whether they are working on a project or handling general tasks.

Is it possible to add validation for linked record rows?I am using the Record Review layout to display data with a one-to-many relationship. I need to apply validation to ensure that the value is not empty and does not exceed a dynamically generated value.Is this possible in an Airtable interface?Thanks.

I am working on an interface to summarize project line items by vendor with the goal of seeing how much of each project order needs to be ordered from each vendor.  To do this, I am using the list interface and grouping line items by project and vendor.  In the interface, the only summary data shown at the vendor level is record count.  However, within the base, it gives you the option to show summary data for different columns (i.e. sum /average of column at lowest level).  Is this possible within the list interface?  Or would a different interface be more useful?

Hey Airtable Community,I have a list of tasks, and I group them by project (which is a separate table). I also have a field in the project table, specifically a progress field, and I’d like to display this field alongside the grouped tasks in the interface.I remember I've done it before and I even have a screenshot I attach below. I have a 4 table layered structure in my base.  VP<->Objective<->KR<->Project.  Each layer has a link to the layer above/below it.  I am creating an interface to show all of the work under each VP.  For Objectives solely under 1 VP, this is working great.  My challenge is that we have some Objectives that are shared between multiple VPs.  When I show those, I want the table to look like this:Shared Objective   Shared KR        Projects (filtered to show only the selected VPs projects)I have fields in the Projects table that I can use to filter, but have no way (that I can see) to apply a filter in this way.I tried creating a link from Project<->VP.  From that, I can build a table of Projects grouped by KR, but I can't show any of the KR information in the table.  Is there a way to do what I am trying? 

I am allowing users to add projects via record templates by clicking an add project button in my interface. The challenge is that while much of the information they need to create is already handled by the template (i.e. tasks, predecessors, etc.). I do need them to create a project name, assign a project manager, etc. When I select the template a form opens to collect this information. So when I select Broadband (New or Upgrade) I get this form which has all the information I need to collect. But when I select the Disconnect Any Services template I get a completely different form.Some of the templates appear to reuse the sam

Hi everytone!I just embbeded a calendar on my website and I would like to remove the "See Bigger Version" option, which when clicked takes the visitors to airtable full calendar version.As I just want them to interact with the calendar from my site, filling a quick form whose details go onto the calendar, is there any way to remove the mentioned option?This option is on bottom right corner of the calendar, opposite corner to the Airtable logo. Any ideas or advice is truely appreciated. Hello All,I have a base for an order management system where I created an interface (Record Review layout) to display received orders. I added a field for the order status, including options such as "Received," "Damaged," and "Not Received."I want the system to open a new form for adding extra details (Logs table), such as the order number, description, and other relevant details, whenever the user selects any status other than "Received." for individual records or is there any other way to do it without using the third party solution and script.If required any more details let me know in this thread.Thanks. 

How do I configure Stacked Bar charts? I can’t seem to find any option in the Chart properties in the Interface.

I tend to use the Tab filters a lot for ease of jumping between project types & clients and it would be great if I didn't have to recreate my preferred (pretty long) list of tabs each time or have to duplicate the view and edit. 

Hi there,I think I already know the answer to this but thought that I should ask. Is there a way for a user who has filled out a public form to edit the data that they submitted in the past? For example. If I have a form that invites people to provide information about their product which they do, is there a way for me to allow them in the future to "Edit" that information later if the price of description of the product changes?Thanks in advance. S

As the title suggests, I have a gallery view in my interface. Showing nice cards, each one with an image pulled from a table. Perfect. But the issue is, the image on the card is clickable and when clicked opens up a large version of the image which the user has to close. Ideally, when they click either the card text or the image, the card should open the record. Is there a way of doing this?Same thing happens when the record opens, if they click the banner image, it  opens a larger version of it. I don't want it clickable. 

I have created an interface with several pages.Each page needs to be filtered by a field (plus the specific filters in that element on that page).Outcome: I want to set the field filter at the interface level, and have each element on each page consider that filter, with the element specific filters.Why:  So that I can duplicate the interface multiple times (e.g. 30 times) and just change the filter 30 times, versus setting the field in each element, in each page, which is at a minimum 15 times per interface.I'm not familiar with Connected elements or Record Picker, but I tried them, but they seem to be filtering just the page, not the Interface.Any suggestions?

AirTable whipped me up an amazingly impressive starter app - tables and forms - from a description of my needs.   (Which blew me away.)  I'm now trying to tweak at it to make it do some basic things.   The application manages the inventory of a seed sharing scheme for a horticultural society.   As you can see, it's done something really sensible as regards the tables needed.  (I added the gallery view of the seed types list.) AirTable has also made a nice little request form. What I'd like to whip up, is a public interface which shows something like the Gallery view, where on each of the cards, there is a link to a request form. When the form pops up, it is autopopulated with details of the seed packet

Hi All,I'm currently creating an interface for my team where we can effectively manage what sprint, client, goals and tasks we are working on. I want to be able to select a sprint from a filter, as a result filter for clients that are linked to this sprint and then as a result filter for goals that are linked to the selected client and sprint. This will then display the task on a kanban view that I stack by status.I have a base with a tasks table, goals table, clients table and sprints table. In the task tables you can link the goals and this will then show the lookup for the client and sprint that goal is assigned to. Any help would be much appreciated. I've tried a few things, but fear it's just not possible ...I have a record template that takes a date input on the record, and creates child tasks in a wor-kback schedule from that date, but I can currently only apply it from the base, by right clicking on the task - A little modal window pops up and asks for the date to be input. Great stuffI have an interface where i'd like to be able to trigger this template from, but it currently throws an error if the date field is empty, as opposed to popping up the friendly date input window ... Thoughts? Annoyingly you can't trigger automations / templates from buttons displayed in lists from the 'Button' field, but you can run scripts.  The Button I've made has had to be layered in the 'record' view by clicking into it which is just another click
