In my base, I changed content type to multiple sections from single and now when I try to view the calendar view, "content pieces" it gives me a "Field “Content Type” was changed and can no longer be selected" Any suggestions on how to remedy this? Hey guys I am currently building a large airtable interface, the goal is to edit records with as much complexity. When I duplicated a block, I had this error code Your change was reverted because your interface is too big. Try deleting some elements. Any idea how to optimize this? Can the airtable team help?Thanks 

I just want to make sure I understand this properly.  I can create a mobile interface list view, but I can only sort by one criteria. I cannot then sort by a second one. For example I have TV shows and I can only sort by show name or episode. Not show name and THEN episode. Am I missing something?  Thanks  

Hello all,I have a new construction Community, which has not yet been mapped by Google Maps; but, I have a homesites map/ rendering of the Community. I want to be able to click on any particular homesite, and have specific data on that homesite become available. I already have a decent interface which holds the key info I want to be able to access quickly. So, this would be a complimentary capability, perhaps like a front end to the interface, which would be the Community homesites map. Click on a homesite, and it opens up the record details page (of the Interface).I reviewed the various map extensions, but have been unable to figure out how to make any of them function like this...Thanks in advance for any help!Joe  

I created an interface with tasks for each employee.I want each employee to be able to see only their tasks.I created a page with a filter for each employee, but I don't see an option how to make an exception so that employee X will not be able to see the tasks of employee Y and vice versa.How is it possible to exclude a certain page from any processing?thanks!

I am sure there is an easy way to do this but I am still fairly new to Airtable.I currently have a table that has six formula fields that give users information about their progress throughout the year based on criteria from other fields in the table.  I have created a record review interface that allows each user read-only access to see all of their updated fields as well as the information from the formula fields.  This is all working great except that multiple times throughout the year I need to go in and manually change which formula fields the users see.For example, at the beginning of the year, formula field1 is in the interface which provides the inital progress that the users will see. On date1, I need to change field1 to formula field 2; on date2, I need to change field2 to formula field3, etc.Is there a way to set up an automation to do this?  I am not finding an automation that will allow me to replace fields in an interface, and I don'

Hi friends, I created an interface that shows projects and within each project its tasks.But - it shows me this arrow (Chevron) even when there are no tasks under the same project and it's just confusing.How do I cancel it?This means that if there are no tasks in Level 2 then he will not see this arrow.I would appreciate your help.thanks!

Usability problem when linking to a record from the from the ‘one’ end of a many to one relationship.We visit homes to help people reduce carbon footprint and save money by taking energy efficiency measures.On every visit we recommend or take one or more actions, each of which has a specific ‘deliverable’  that holds standard values for savings etc.The entity relationship is:Visit to action = 1 to manyDeliverable to action =  many to 1We have many different deliverables, over 200. When adding a new action, which is usually done using a form that is prefilled with the correct Visit, the Deliverable field presents a long list that is in seemingly random order. I cannot find a way to sort or group the selection of links. Hi guys,For each of my clients, I create a project management interface where they can keep track of the project's progress. One of the pages on this interface is a list of tasks.As of now, I have to manually link each newly created task to the proper project. So I would like to automate this process.Ideally, I would have liked to set up an automation chose trigger would have been 'when a new record is created on this interface'. But this trigger doesn't exist.So the only workaround I found for now is to create a List view with hierarchy on and to show the Project name on the level above. But I feel it adds unnecessary clutter to the page design since clients of course only want to see the tasks related to their project.

Hi all;On Chrome, when inputting into an interface Long Text field, it resizes to half-width (see image), which is a pain in the butt for editing long copy on the fly. It's only recently started doing this, and it applies to both rich text and non-rich text fields.I'm not sure if it's an Airtable or Chrome problem. Does anyone have any ideas on how to fix this? I have a "master" table containing Clients, and an interface page that presents selected information as a dashboard launching point for each client. I have a separate table where clients can input "evidence" of all kinds, and from that I can filter, sort, whatever until I can work with that information however I like.  I have an interface page for this table as well, where I can manually select which client I want to review the evidence for - and that's where I need help.I want to have a button on the Clients interface page that will take me to the Evidence interface page with data already filtered to match the Client from which the Evidence button was clicked.  I don't know how to grab that information (client name) from the Clients interface and feed it to the Evidence interface filter element before I even land there, as a clearable filter (b/c I might then want to stay in Evidence but move around to a different cli

I created an interface dashboard with several groups (different charts, different numbers, etc.).  For aesthetic reasons (making the data make more sense to execs), I would like to have 2 groups side by side. For example, I would like to have a YTD group of numbers next to a Month's group of numbers.  The YTD and Monthly data will come from different tables, so they need to be in separate groups.  It seems I can only create a new group below or above another group, but I would like to create a new group next to an existing group.  Is this possible? Thanks in advance!

Hey y'all, dunno if anyone has experience with this or if it's even possible, but is there a way to turn off user caching (or enforce today centric) for an embedded calendar view?I have a publicly shared calendar interface embedded in a webpage, but for repeat visitors it caches where the calendar was set at last access rather than defaulting to today (it's a month view). I wouldn't consider this a big problem if it only does this when you move the calendar around (then you've demonstrated ability in using the nav tools) but if you visit the page in November, and then again in December, it defaults to November for example. I looked at the embed code and didn't see anything, and explored all the options I see in the Interface designer. My site CMS is Wordpress by the way, but this issue still arises if you were to use the "View larger version" feature so I feel like it's an Airtable thing. 

We are excited about the ability to now make Forms in the interface instead of as just a view in the data layer. A lot more customization (can you say rich text formatting in the description 🙌?!). However, I don't seem to see the option in the interface version of Forms to allow users to request a copy of their responses like it does in the "view" Form of the data layer. Is this accurate or am I missing something? Thanks in advance!

Hi! Excited about the ability to use forms in Interface. I have a question about single select fields in Interface Forms. Currently, if you type in a new option in the single select column in the Airtable base and that option currently doesn’t exist, you can add it to the single select column by pressing enter (after you’re typed up the new option). I am not able to add new options to a single select field in my Airtable Interface form. Am I missing something or has someone found a solution for this? Thanks all!

Hi guys, I created a simple CRM for a client on Airtable. The page for All Contacts have filters. My client would like to be able to set filters on this All Contacts page and then, from the interface, send an email to the subset of contacts she just had displayed (see screenshot below).  The solutions I have in mind don't completely meet her need:Setting automations to have emails sent to different groups of people doesn't solve her problem since she wants to be able to send emails spontaneously. So there's no event in the database that could serve as a trigger for possible automations.She could of course export the list of contacts into a CSV, then copy and paste the email addresses into her email provider interface. But that's manual mindless work that I'd like her not to h

Hello All,I have been implementing new Form Interfaces for our candidates to fill out and I noticed that the banners and images have been getting removed; initially I thought it was because I duplicated the Form (which auto-removes the images), but when I checked on them a week later, all the images and banners were gone!Has anyone else experienced this issue? For clarity, I published and distributed 2 Form Interfaces, which I spot-checked and tested before and AFTER they were sent out to everyone. I can add screenshots if requested, but there's nothing really to show aside from the images.

I have an interface with a dashboard with two pivot tables tracking budgets.I have a dashboard page set to allow printing; however, every time I print, one of the two pivot tables are cut off although they both fit on the page, and there is no horizontal scroll needed. I've tried to expand the table and print them one by one, but then the same cut-off still happens.This is how the pivot tables look on my screen only - only 5 columns to print: This is how it looks on an A4 page - where the two last columns are cut off:Does anyone know how to get these two pivot tables to actually print out so the printout is usable, or is it a bug?

Hi allI have an orders table, an order line items table and a products table.In interface, i want my staff to make orders using the products table where they 'add product to new or existing order'.So when they click on the product this should bring up order line items form to add quantity, sell price etc of selected product and then either create new order (parent table of order line items) or link to existing order (order ID, vendor, consignee etc)Any ideas? Thank you!

I have an interface with a Field of the "Linked to another record" type. I want users to be able to either add or remove a connection to an existing record, OR to add a new linked record. I can set the field to allow these two things independently:However, in the interface both of these things don't work. If I allow for both, users can only remove the connection or add a connection to an existing record. However there is no way to add a new linked record. If i disallow the "Allow users to link/unlink", then users CAN add a new linked record. I want both of these things to be possible, as the interface field settings seem to imply.Am I missing something?

I am using softr as my front end for airtable. I have about 200 users on softr, and I want each user to be able to see their overall "performance" metrics for themselves only on softr. I don't like the data visualization tools on softr as much as airtable. Is there a way to specialize the airtable embed interfaces so it filters the data to only be the email of the person logged in on softr?

This function is available for the base. When I search there, the scanner symbol appears.Is this also available for an interface or a similar solution?I can scan using a form and would also like to be able to scan and then edit the product.

I'm trying to make a small CRM. Two of the main datatypes are Contact and Company. Clients work for Companies. When I get a new lead, I enter the Contact's information. When I do that, I'd also like to be able to create a record for their company if it isn't already in the Company table. So, bottom line, I should be able to either select a company, or type in the company's name and have it create a new record in the Company Table.I've created a simple interface to create a new contact, but as I understand it, interfaces only insert into one table. Is there any way around this? I thought about trying to add an automation, but it seems like the interface templates for adding new rows to a table don't support what I'm trying to do.

I went into Airtable to create a new form, and was pushed to do this in the "Interface view".It seemed relatively straightforward, but I can't find an option to "stop accepting new form submissions", like there was in the normal form view.You can "unpublish" the form, but this leads to a really nasty error message if someone tries to access the link (see screenshot).Is there a solution for this? At the moment I have had to edit the form by removing all of the fields and adding text to confirm that it is no longer accepting submissions.

Hi,I'm trying to display fractions and percents based on a cap/denominator of my choosing. Ex. x / 54.The goal is to help the team know at a glance/status report that we are either at cap or below and by how much exactly. The same need is also needed in that if we're below by 3 for example, maybe 1 is in transition and only 2 is truly missing.I fiddled with columns and formulas a little bit and found a way for a column to display a fraction by having a autocount row and a formula row returning a concat of the {autocount} +"/54" for x/54 but I cannot display that on a dashboard. Also learned formulas can't count records in the table, hence autocount as a workaround.If anyone has thoughts on how to show fractions that would be great. OR display a count of "54" or "20000" without it ruining the table as a last resort, so that I can display a regular count as one field, and that "fake/determined" count as another field next to it.Edit: Also found
