Hi everyone! I'm posting to ask if there's a way to do a search within an interface page that features a list view. thanks,Megan
I've watched several videos, and read the documentation. They all say to append "?prefill_MemberID=12345" to the end of the URL for my form. But I'm trying to use the new interfaces, and I'm pretty sure this does not work. I've verified it works in the old forms. But when I 'upgrade' my form to the new interface designer, it stops working.
I have a database with two tables connected in a one-to-many schema. I built an interface with two pages, and I would like to link them using filters so that when the user clicks a button in the parent page, the child interface page with childrens data opens, filtered by the selected parent. Is there a way to implement this natively or through a URL?
Hello,I'm experiencing a bug with a list-type interface that I created for one of our clients. This interface allows them to validate product deliveries. To send the necessary information to the relevant people, I set up an automation linked to a button within this interface.iPhone users are able to send the information without any issues. However, on Android, if the user is only invited to the interface and not to the base itself, the automation does not trigger. Please see the attached photo for reference.
Hello Airtable Community!I'm exploring the possibility of building an auction system using Airtable and I'm hoping to get some insights on its feasibility. Here's what I'm looking to create:Use Case:An auction system featuring 6 items, each represented by an imageAbility for users to place bids on these itemsA way to recognize and identify users for subsequent bidsReal-time (or near real-time) updates of bid prices as new bids come inCurrent Plan:I'm considering using Airtable as the backbone of this system, potentially with Airtable Interfaces for the front-end. Here's my proposed structure:An "Items" table with fields for item details, current highest bid, and auction end timeA "Bids" table linked to the Items table, recording each bidViews to display active auctions, ended auctions, and bids by itemAn interface with pages for browsing items, viewing item details, placing bids, and viewing one's own bidsQuestions:Is this use case feasible with Airtable, particularly regarding real-ti
Hello,I'm using the Map & Data Validator extensions, which allow me to view and validate my fields respectively. I'm also developing an interface so that I can share the application without users having to use the database directly, and so that I don't have to show all the records. My first question is: Is it possible to include the map extension display in my interface? If so, how? I've seen on other forums that this wasn't possible, but perhaps a feature for this has now been added? My second question is about the Data Validator extension, which only validates data when it's added from the record creator form available from the extension window. Is it possible, for example, to validate data entered from forms in my interface?
Hi guys. I have a workspace through which we manage our business, an academy. I have just two users, one for the owners and creators, and another for the teachers. Our problem is that we need the teachers to access to some bases and some interfaces of the main data base, but no to all the administration and managers info, and till now i havent found a way to restrain the access just to the bases and interfaces that they need. Is there anyway to manage the permissions or block access through passwords???? Thanks a lot for your time.
I am very excited about this new Public Interface option and want to share an interface with a client through an embedded code in an outside website. But I am having trouble because I have an Interface with Linked Records and when I select one of the linked records I get a spinning circle in the field box for the linked record. I am assuming this is a viewing permissions issue because I have no trouble seeing the linked record when I am working inside Airtable. The linked record is connected to the "Contact Table" and that is also has shared public permissions in the Interface. What else can I do to make these linked records also viewable?
I would like to be able to select data from a list of choices on softr. However, by linking the dropdown option to a linked data column on airtable, the data of another user also appears and I would like to avoid it. So I tried to use dynamic filters, but it does not work. AS
Request - Please don't show the drop down arrow for records that have no child items!Thank you!
To set Button visibility it seems I need to upgrade, it a Team plan enough?
Hello, I am really thrilled with exploring the features of this new and game-changing Airtable functionality. I think it would be super useful to my team which deals with hundreds of social media posts per month created and edited by several of our departments. To give this a go, I started by creating an interface which would help our education department organize their programs and link social media requests to records another table - I already have all that setup. Where I am stuck on, is on the ability of creating a new record from the interface itself (i.e. create a new upcoming program from the interface where I am browsing the programs). I cannot find an element such as “add new record” or for that matter “delete record”. Do we have to go back to the regular grid-views to add or delete records? That sounds a bit convoluted… I am loving the new feature and I understand that it is in Beta, but I really want to use it to its fullest and would love any suggestions, or if we could add
Is it possible to add logo in Interface Form?
I added a button field to my interface but it’s not clickable. I don’t see an option to make it editable when I go to the properties to try to configure. I’m assuming this is a bug — buttons would be handy to include on an interface!
We've been wrangling with this for some time. At first I thought it was a laptop vs iPad issue, but today I confirm that it is not - it seems like a bug. Appreciate anyone who can help, please. I created a dropdown selection in the Interface. And whenever I need a new option, I simply type in the new value and the Add Option comes up. However, my user does not have the add option. See pics attached.
Hi,Haven't worked with Airtable for a while, so have missed a lot of updates. I need to build a base where over 200 records needs review and given input for potential change. There is multiple reviewers, and I need to track which reviewer ok'ed or suggested change for what.200+ records would obviously be an endless form, so I am looking at Interfaces and the new Record Review, which seems promising, but I can't figure out how to allow multiple reviewers to give separate input? The reviewers are external, but could be onboarded to Airtable. Ideally, I'd like to use a form to populate a 'reviewer' table with information, and then automate a link to the Record Review. Hoping for input, thanks!
When using a timeline view for tasks, we know if you group by Project, it's a nice way of being able to view all Project tasks in a neat and concise way, side by side.Is there a way to order the Projects (vertically) by the earliest task? At the moment the only options are alphabetically A-Z or Z-A. This would help with schedulingAs a temporary measure I'm adding a number to the start of the project name to force the order I want but unsure if there's any other work around...Screen grab for context (sorry about the blanking out of info)
Hi, When using an interface on iOS the purple Airtable header doesn't show, while on Android it does. How can I remove the purple Airtable header? Context: I've embedded the Interface in a mobile app. AndroidiOS
Can anybody please help and tell me what is the best way to show both mobile and desktop version on an embed airtable I am using for a website , the desktop version looks really good and organized and when using on mobile , it stays as the desktop version and I cannot see all information , it is very misleading and not responsive. I thought that with the paid version I will be able to make things better , I would like to get any support please, thank you !
Hi everyone, Is it possible to switch cards customization between tabs in a same interface ? Thanks for your help ! François
Hello all,In the past, I was able to hover over my workspaces names on the left side navigation bar and rearrange the order of them, but now it is no longer possible which is a nightmare as some that are not that important stay at the top as they were created as last. This option is no longer available for some reason. Any idea why is that removed? When I hover over now the dots do not show.Any help appreciated. Thanks Jen
I am building a "record review" interface, and I am struggling with the calendar element. Each record has a series of dates as milestones but unlike every other field, I don't see a way to filter or format the calendar to show ONLY the dates of the record I am reviewing, it only shows the milestones for ALL records. Is there really no way to filter a calendar, either as a view or as an interface element, by a specific record? This seems like such basic functionality I am struggling to accept this is the case.I found this thread which seems to clarify this, but I am re-asking in case I am missing something:https://community.airtable.com/t5/interface-designer/is-it-possibel-to-show-dates-in-a-calendar-element-within-a/td-p/183219
Hello, I built an interface which allow users to add records in a list table, when they click Add record. I would like to have the new records opened directly in their expanded layout, instead of creating a new line and then clicking the line. Is this possible ? (Via the Add record of the current page, and even via buttons in other pages)I can try scripts but I've never done that before so any help is welcome ! Many thanks for your help
Hi, I’m looking to use the interface designer or any other airtable solution to filter records with shared users in an easy way. Similar filtering to an e-commerce store like Best Buy. So someone could choose pull-downs from linked records to say they want a 1. “laptop”, 2. “white color” and the page would show all records that meet those criteria. I know this can all be done within an airtable base but I’m looking to simplify it for less tech-savvy users. Thanks, Jordan
I've created a table where I have a multiselect field, and then grouped the data by that field. The effect in my table is that each unique combination of selected fields from the multiselect column has it's own group. So for example, if one record has "A" in that field, and another has "A" and "B", I have one group that JUST has the record with "A", and separate group for the records that have ONLY BOTH "A" and "B" (so the first record with ONLY "A" is not included in that group).I know some people don't like this but I actually want it this way - and what's frustrating is that now when I'm creating a List Interface, it works the opposite! So my list of records is grouped in the interface by that same multiselect field, but now the records are duplicated across groups. So, the record with only "A" is showing up in the group that is labeled "A" only, AND in the group that is labeled for both "A" and "B".Is there a setting I'm missing to get the list view to behave the same as my table, or
