I have been getting this very annoying bug where when I start editing on any interface page, the logo and header images on all of the overview pages across all of the interfaces in that base are automatically removed. Nearly every time I publish after making changes to one interface page, I have to reupload headers and logos to all overview pages. I hope developers can fix this soon!
I'm creating a platform for project and task management. I have multiple users and multiple interfaces. One of those interfaces is an Admin section where projects would be assigned to users via a dropdown menu. I'd like this Admin interface to only be accessible for select users. But it appears that users who aren't given access to this Admin interface cannot be selected in the project assignment dropdown. For now, I've given those users read-only access to this Admin interface, but I'd prefer that this interface be hidden for them entirely. Is this possible, either on our current Team plan or any of the other account levels?
HeyheyI'm need a dynamic filtering option in the interface so I'm trying to use the built-in filter. For some reason the filterable fields that appear are not all the possible fields but just a random selection. I need to filter by status but status field is not an option to filter with the built in filter. See screenshots. Anyone can help ?
How is it that Open URL opens an Interface URL in the same tab but an external URL in a new tab? Does anyone else see this?
I want to share an interface with my teams (more than 10 users). They just need to edit/update some data on the interface, but when I want to share with them, I need to change to 'Editor'. So, there's more than 10 editors in 1 interface. I'm using Business plan (annually). I don't understand at the part where I need to pay for each editor, which means the bill is not fixed and it will be added for each 'Editor' I add? Does it actually include in the bill, no extra charge or what? Can't I just share with my teams without extra charges?
Hello! Can anyone help me get some more useful info from this chart?I want to be able to show a list of breeds with counts in descending order. It seems like its still alphabetical in this legend which doesn't help much. I've also been able to see the counts in a group sort on my member talbe, but I dont see any way to get that info somewhere usefull.I'm open to creating a new table which would create new lists that show the counts of each breed if that's the best way to do it. Thanks!
Hey guys,So I need your urgent help. I created an interface for one of our collaborators with edit access and everything worked fine but now the data can't be shown. If I go in the edit mode as an admin, I see the records and all the filters as before, but when I go on "preview" it says like for the other person that records are not found. I checked filters, permission etc. but it is the same as before. All set correctly. What happened? Please help 🙂Best,Madeleine
Hello. I'm trying to find information as to whether I can use Airtable only to create a customer/client portal. I've seen some videos but I need clearer instructions, meaning where do I go to create this portal, how do I add information, linking clients, creating login page etc. Is there any information that is useful on here or is a walkthrough video that you can point me in? Your help is greatly appreciated. Thanks
Hello! I am pulling stats for an interface dashboard and I am trying to make sure I know what some of the terms mean exactly and have searched for term definitions but can't find a list. Does anyone know if one exists? Here are a couple of examples of what I mean. When I put in "is within" "this past week" I want to know exactly what days we are talking about what is "this past week" is it Sun - Sat of the previous week? Also terms like "this past month" Does that mean the past 30 days or all days in the month prior to the current month. Thanks,Debbie
As I'm not entirely confident of the following, grateful if anyone can confirm if my understanding is correct before I upgrade to the Business plan.On the Business Plan:I can share all pages in an interface via a read-only link where users cannot access/duplicate the base dataI can prevent these read-only users from sharing the interfaceI do not have to pay extra for read-only usersNote: In my use case, all users will be airtable users and I'm not considering the public link option as I want to keep the Overview page viewable to my users@Vic_Airtable
There are a bunch of great input methods that one can use in the scripting extension to take text imputs or allow a user to select a specific record. THey are not avaiable in automations, but unfortunately it seems that running a script in an interface requires one to use an automation. Is there a way to get inputs from user through a pop-up in an interface run script? If not this is a much needed feature!
im having trouble with grouping and field visibility fields in list interface.i have a mega table with all users, tenants employees suppliers. i created tabs. but as soon as i groupe the tenant tabs by their property building it groups it for all other tabs. same for fields. lets say i want the email in tenants but i dont want the email in suppliers, i cant its across the board
I am using a summary of data connected to a linked record to populate the dashboard. The Youth Care Professional 3rd shift seems to be filtering as two numbers separated by a Comma. I am not sure why this is happening there and not with the others. The fields have the same conditional formatting for all the fields to the right of linked record. Only this one seems to be noting as 2 numbers.

Vague but important product feature idea 17786It'd be great if we could get a form of breadcrumbs for naviagtion when viewing records, and their subsequent child records.ie) If I am in my record view for Projects, and click into a Task (Linked, Child Record) then into a subtask of that task, it'd be great to be able to see this reflected in a top Nav Client ABC / Project 678 / Ross' Task / Ross' Subtask 46 I know it wouldn't work for all scenarios, but it'd be SO powerful for this type of multi level App buildingRoss
Hi,Is there a way to create a download a CSV button to the interface for users to be able to export the record or list details as CSV? if it can be done, How do I do it?Thanks
I chose the project management template that came with interfaces with various pages. They are very helpful and I have up to now only needed to do minor changes. However, in removing the placeholder data and starting to add my actual data it seemed to have "unlinked" the people section, where the interface is set up to pull task data for whatever user is currently accessing that page. It was showing me a random placeholder person, but I do not know how to make sure it associates a "person" record with the account accessing the base/interface.My initial thought was to just add a dropdown to filter the data based on the user chosen, but I seem to have no way to do that. Navigating the interface editor within a prebuilt template interface is unendingly frustrating and confusing, and none of the documentation seems to match what I'm seeing. Is there a way to link records to a person/account instead so this feature works properly?
Hello there ! 🙂I'm using a dashboard type of page in a interface I'm using to onboarding new team members. I would like to combine 2 types of things in that same page of the interface : A grid view of items they have to read / review for their onboarding process (ideally, this would be editable by them without having to open a record)A calendar view of the meetings / trainings they have to attendHowever, I can't seem to find a way to have a calendar view while using the dashboard interface. Is there any workaround for this or is it just that I can't find the way to do it? I'm still kind of new to using interfaces. Thanks so much!
Hi everyone,On my Airtable App, I have an Admin timeline view on a page that shows all tasks, grouped by project, client, etc that only I use, which lets me see all activity. All users have access to a seperate Task dashboard that shows their assigned tasks, etc. but if I am in my Admin timeline view, and try to assign a task from there, it won't let me as it says the Assignee doesn't have access to this interface. The only thing I am updating is the Assignee field in the task, so it surely shouldn't matter that the assignee doesn't have access to this specific view I am using to delegate tasks?Any thoughts / workarounds? For reference, when I try to do this, the 'invite user to interface' pop up window appears with all of the sharing options, etc. and it doesn't let you continue to add the assignee without sharing. If you cancel from that pop up window, the assignee window just stays blank. Thanks!Ross
I'm working with colleagues to develop an inventory request form.In our base, we have fields and calculations set up to adjust quantity when information is input into an "outgoing" or "incoming" sheet. It all shows in our main inventory sheet along with costs, available quantities (based on the other two sheets), and general product information. To put it as simply as I can, we want them to be able to see a small gallery of the items (where "Quantity Available" is greater than 0) and allow them to input how many of a specific item they want. Is this possible without any upgrades, plug ins, or integrations? If so, how can I get it to work? We want to house all information in Airtable as a hub. Any help is appreciated!!
It would be nice to be able to control the size of long text fields in interface designer. When I'm typing long notes such as "rapport" notes or "project overview notes" in interface designer, it automatically resizes the box according to the length of the note. So as my notes get longer, everything below the Long Text field gets pushed further down the screen. Having a resizing option and a scroll bar inside of the interface designer text box would solve the issue for me.
Filing this as a bug here because the message support help bot thing is completely uselessI've noticed for a few months now that if you have a bar chart, turned horizontal, with record values turned on then it doesn't display the largest number, which looks kind of rubbish. See pictureI'm sure this is just a bug in the interface designer, but its been there a whileIn the image - the blue bars at the top should display the value (10 and 11) at the end of the bar, like they do for the other coloured bars
Hello,I have a table containing information about clients: surname, first name, end date, etc., as well as the number of hours sold. In another table, I have the tasks for each customer with the number of hours used.I've created an interface that summarises the job information by customer. At the moment, I need to filter by customer to display all the tasks, but I also want to see the number of hours sold directly in this interface. However, to obtain this information, I need to apply two filters:Filter 1 on the Tasks table to select the customer. Filter 2 on the Customers table to retrieve the hours sold. Is there a solution to avoid having to filter twice?
I have created a record review interface to review projects, projects tasks, and click into the task to mark it complete. In my interface it shows my list of projects on the left hand column, with the selected project data in the main section. Within this project there are assigned tasks which display on the interface. I need to be able to display these sorted by order. I am not seeing the functionality to do this. Is there a way to have the "project" "tasks" display on the interface based on their "order" assigned to them? The tasks are setup in a "tasks template" base. So that when I create a new "project" matching a "type" of project, an automation runs and it pulls all the tasks associated with the project. Because these are pulled via an automation, they are called at random and not sorted in any particular order. I was thinking I could break down the create tasks step into multiple steps filtered to only call "order" = 1, "order" = 2, "order" = 3, etc... but
HiI'm using the Resource Allocation template that Airtable created as a guide for my own version of a team resources tracker. Problem is, our jobs have many different levels of effort required depending on what's being requested. I think I have it set up in a decent way to allow for that, but in testing, it's looking like it's too cumbersome to have someone fill in the estimated amount of time required EVERY single time the job comes in, especially for revisions. For example:Initial layout of the job may take 8 hours. When that same job comes back in for revisions (which can be numerous times) each time the amount of effort required will vary. Could be a quick fix, 15 minutes. Could be a partial re-do, 3 hours. Any suggestions on how to best automate populating the time required field, for each time revisions come in? The goal is to have an accurate view of each designer's workload. If I set up general ranges for various tasks, or try to train AI to guess (if that'
