Ok, I think this is pretty simple, but I just haven't worked with Airtable programming/automations enough. When closing or leaving a record's interface page, if a specific field is blank (empty), I want to pop up a dialog that says "xxxxx Cannot be Empty" or something like that.TIA!
Just wondering if this is a bug or is intended. If not a bug, how would I go about fixing the issue?
Hi, I am wondering how to display approaching deadlines based on a dates that are 1 month out and 2 weeks out to be displayed on an interface dashboard but I am unsure how to make this happen. Thanks!
Hi,I have three tables:For faultsFor suppliersFor combining the fault and supplier tables so I can have multiple suppliers per fault and different costs for each supplier. (Every record represent a supplier in specific fault).Currently, when I open a new fault from the interface, I need to create a record for the fault and then create a record in the table that combines the fault and supplier tables. (So I can choose which suppliers belong to that fault + add thier pricing)What is the easiest way to create a new fault? Should I just submit two forms: one for the fault and one for the table that combines faults and suppliers? Or is there another, easier way? Thanks.
I'm working in a new client interface, and they have a button with the action 'Update record'. This is linked to a dropdown. (This is a list of purchase orders.)But there aren't any other settings for this. What does this action do? How is the record "updated"?
is there a way to enable the viewr of an interface to toggle how the table is sorted? i would like them t beable to click the column and toggle how it is sorted
Hello,Our team has recently started taking advantage of Interfces though we've noticed the search feature seems to work differently than in a regular Airtable data table. In the first picture I provided you can see that searching "BCTS220" returns two results with "BCTS220-1R" existing in each (this is accurate). But if you search for "BCTS220-1" it only shows one result even though that string exists in the the other record which isn't being shown. Does anyone know how searching in Interfaces is different or if there's a way to correct this?
Is it possible to link multiple filters to a single grid in an Interface? I have a base with 11 tables; 1 primary table and 10 support tables. In my primary table, I have 31 fields, 10 of which are linked records. I would like to create an interface for my client that will allow for as simple or as complex a query as needed. To explain further:My primary table is a plant directory. I would like my client to be able to choose a simple query, such as:All plants that are Red. I would also like my client to be able to choose a complex query, such as:All plants that are Red or Orange, Low Maintenance, requires Full Sun, is Fragrant and is Deer Tolerant. Is there a way in Airtable to be able to accomplish this?Thank you in advance, Mr. Brad B.
Hi,I'd like to give users a button to create a new table in the backend with default fields and table name. This table could be a duplicate of an existing table. Is is possible to implement this functionality on the front end?
When creating a form, we can limit the options the submitters can select. Is there a way to do a similar set up at the user level?I was thinking maybe, at the interface level, we'd be able to limit the selection of a single select field. But that doesn't seem to be an option. Maybe there's another way to do this? Here's my scenario:I have a dropdown that my users can edit, but I don't want to give them all the options. Maybe I split the options and connect them with formulas?I have an Inventory Table with a drop-down where users can change the status. Some of the statuses are for office use only, so I'd like those options to be filtered out. Thanks in advance for any ideas!
HiWe are trying to build a form with the new Interface. We noticed an issue when adding a new Number field from the interface. The field will eventually be created in the base, but once we click on "Done" or Published, this is what will pop up in the form. The fields initially created in the Base will eventually disappear too, which is really annoying. Any ideas about what the potential issue might be? Thanks!
Looking for someone who can support me with a quick consult for my non profit, Modern States Education Alliance. My imported data table has over 9000 institutions ("School Name") with their CLEP Score and Credit Information By Exam. I was able to create an interface to filter by School Name and then display all of the Scores and Credit by Exam in two columns. I also created a Form to understand If a schoolAccepts CLEP credit,How much they charge to transcript the credit,How many credits they accepted,How simple this process was.Our goal at Modern States is to make college more affordable and accessible to everyone. This interface will serve as a space for our learners to share their journey and provide an updated CLEP by credit search. At the moment the College Board and individual schools do not maintain current records of the college credit by examination and it's an issue for learners trying to transfer credit. Here This what I am looking for: Interface>School Name>Grid>Sourc
In a gallery view interface, each record has one pdf file attachment hosted in Airtable. Airtable has two "stock" buttons for downloading the file.1. How can I track how many times each file is downloaded using the "stock" download buttons?2. Can I see which users are downloading which files? 3. Can I track which gallery tiles are being clicked on?4. Can I track what the most popular search terms are?5. If Airtable cannot provide the tracking, can GA4?
I hope I'm not missing something but I'm trying to create a manual table to pull certain database numbers concisely. Basically mimic a grid of 7X4 but the numbers are huge making for unnecessary scrolling. Any advice would be appreciated or just a general sizing/formatting option beyond just colors.
HelloHow to Condense record view so more values are visible in the popup window (less scrolling down)?
Hi,I have a table for faults and a table for handymen. Each fault can have multiple handymen assigned to it, and each handyman may receive a different payment—for example, one might charge $50 while another charges $100.Is it possible to create the same fault twice in the fault table to associate the fault with each handyman and thus set a different payment for each one?I tried creating another table that connects the faults table and the handymen table, and it worked wonderfully. This allowed me to associate all the handymen with the same fault and add a "payment" column so each handyman could receive a different payment. However, when using the INTERFACER, I faced a problem: I had to fill out a form in the faults table and then another form in the table that connects the faults to the handymen. How would you solve this problem? I want to fill out just one form. Is it acceptable to create the same fault twice in the faults table to associate it with a different handyman? After all, eac
Hi,In Airtable, I have a table of faults, a table of handymen, and a table that combines faults and handymen.I want to set it up so that through the INTERFACE, I can create a new RECORD in the table of faults. Using the LINK TO ANOTHER RECORD field, if the desired value doesn't exist, I want to be able to create the new value through the form in the table of faults. Is this possible?
Hi everyone, ready for a super stupid question?? ahhaI'm playing with interfaces and I have a question: " what is the difference between "invite by link" with read only and "share publicly"? thank you very much!
Sorry to ask this, Ive been around and around and around in circles with the help doco, the information in help doesnt match what I see in my paid business description and the AI bot doesnt have a clue . . if I try to log a support ticket the Airtable support bot crashes and says to reload the page (seven times now)I need to give access to a user to an interface, I dont care if they are a paid user or not, I dont mind paying for their access.I only want them to be able to see the interface and the many nested records within it. (it nests to 4 levels). I dont want them to have access to the home screen or the "back to home button" or to be able to stuff around with the data at all, I dont want them playing, going looking or saying "its airtable give me data" just please please please let me give them an interface to see what i want them to see.I am on a paid business account, the help files list all these different levels of access that apparently I can give them, but most of those opti
Im looking for a tool that will connect with Airtable so that I can use the APi/Whatever to map in the contact sets we have, create cards and relatiponships with those contacts in our tables and show these on a high quality map publically.Im very used to doing this in a platform like Voxel (but that is WP based) and thats my fallback, but that is held back by WP. Im needing something that is super fast and SAAS based, that can publically connect and manage thousands of visits without falling over. Anyone using any good public tools? The mapping in the extensions are not on the same radar as this.
I have enabled viewing record details and customized the 'sub interface' however I now have 15 instances of this and have no idea how they appeared there, they all look identical except that the automation buttons don't work... is there somwhere I can view and delete all of these without having to go via the 'parent' interface?
On a dashboard interface, I have a pivot table that counts the number of times a parameter (e.g. the ticket price for the exhibition) was mentioned by visitors in their reviews and I have those counts be computed for each venue (see Attachment #1). I would like to have cells be color-coded depending on their value: shades of green for the Strengths pivot table, shades of red for the Weaknesses pivot table. Unless I'm mistaken, as yet it's not possible to get this visualization feature on Airtable. Would you have any workaround to suggest?Similarly, I'd like to get the same formatting on the table that's displayed on the PDF report that gets generated by Documint (see attachment #2). Any other PDF-generating tool to suggest that would allow me to get this color-coding?
Dear all I have 3 tables.1. table is a list of construction sides.2. table is a list of for different services that we offer on those construction sides. Each record has the name of the service and the linked construction side. Here are all services of all construction sides listed3. table has one field where you can link to services from the second table and a 2. field where you can put the time it took to finish the specific service. This 3 Table should be populated through an Interface. Best would be a form. But i dont want the user to see all services of all construction sides in the menu for field 1 but allow him to filter for construction sides.Any Idea how to do this?I would be greatful for help!
Yesterday I was all of a sudden able to access interfaces from my ipad. This morning I saw an email confirming the feature. But when I went back in this morning the interfaces were gone. Can someone help here?
Hi all!I'm using an interface to create and update records and allowed to create a new record. My team has been using it for a while and love it, but suddenly the "submit" button disappeared and they can no longer create a record through this interface. It's showing as "deleted field" but it was never a field (it was the setting to allow for creation of the record) in the table and i didn't delete anything... I'm going crazy- how do i fix this? (see attached picture)
