Interface Designer

So I'm basically building out a progress tracker to track sales.  Once a sales rep lands on the interface, I want them to only see their own record, and nothing else.  Any way to do that?Just to clarify, the Sales Rep looking at the interface should only be able to see his own record in the interface. Cheers!

Is there a way to create a link to a form with pre-filled information? For example, I want a button in an interface that can go to a form to add a bug linked to whatever the user was looking at in the interface, so that the link is already set when opening the form.

I am trying to add a button in the interface designer to open up the address in google maps. I want to pass the address and city field to google mapsSo something like:"https//google.com/map/place/" & {Address} & {City} I can't seem to get it to work. Existing examples on this forum seem to refer to the old interface designer. On the new version can you do this? If so can anyone suggest the correct format?Thanks in advance.

Is there a setting to only receive notifications if someone is "@" ?Currently seems like in our interface, once you get an "@", you are permanently watching that comment thread for all future comments. we do NOT want that. so ... Is there a setting to only be notified if you are "@" in that specific comment? OR ... is there a way to unwatch the comments from interface?OR ... is there an automation or API to constantly run to unwatch comments?OR ... a script to unfollow? 

I am trying to make a graph that will demonstrate clients that are coming to these mandatory briefings, however I have to use two date fields to represent their attendance since each client has two opportunities to attend one of their mandatory briefings. The fields are:ISSUANCE BRIEFING (1st ATTEMPT)ISSUANCE BRIEFING (2nd ATTEMPT)and there isIB1 Attended <-- Single Select field that is for selecting Attended or not Attended for the first briefingIB2 Attended <-- Single Select field that is for selecting Attended or not Attended for the second briefing. Due to AirTable limitations, I cannot easily show in a bar graph where it has a combination of all people attending each briefing, and can be grouped by attended and not attended and/or distinguish how many people in this meeting are going to their first attempt or second.AirTable forces only one X value. So I am looking for automations

Hi there,I have two tables : "Meetings" and "People".Each meeting is of a certain Type (Single Select)Each meeting can contain multiple People. Some People are team members, some are not.I want to create an interface chart to display the total number of meetings per People, aggregated by Type, but only for certain People (team members).Unfortunately, when add as a condition that the displayed Meetings have to contain People that are team members, the graph also shows other People that are part of these meetings, but that are not team members. It makes sense so far.But what I would like to do is to filter the People displayed on the x-axis only. Is there a simple way to do so ?Thank you for your help !Jean

Hi all,I'm trying to set up a form which has a dynamic appearance depending on the time of day/day of the week.During our working hours I'd like users to be able to submit details through the form in order to receive an urgent response from our clinic team.  Out of hours, I'd like to divert the user to emergency contact details and a link which allows them to book a routine appointment with our team.Any thought on how this could be achieved?Thanks in advance,Laurence

Hi,  I'm new to airtable, I've created an invoice generator in Airtable interfaces, however I am struggling to figure out how to make it editable. I would be so thankful if someone could help me out. I have a catering company, my client invoices are updated 4-5 times throughout the project pipeline. Here is what I am trying to achieve: A new invoice is created & Linked to client project (this is complete) After the first invoice is created, allow the user to open the most recent invoice > create a new invoice from the exiting one > edit/ update the new invoice > submit new invoice > tag as "most recent version" What I cannot figure out:

I have a form that is letting people create Inventory Request Records, choosing Item Records they would like to check out from our inventory. We would like to have a way that will automatically prevent them from choosing an item that will be checked out during the dates they have selected.Using the filters and conditional options for these fields, I only see being able to toggle visibility for the results of the "check in date" and "return date". I would like to use the values from the questions asking for the dates to compare to the records in our "Items" grid so "Items" checked out will not be visible but I cannot find a way to do this. We are not able to use a 3rd party platform.Any guidance on maybe how to rework the fields to allow us to use the info from previous answers to help filter their selection? Is there any way to have formulas or more advanced coding in these forms?

My team uses the revision history function a lot when editing records. Currently, that function is not available in an Interface, as far as I can tell. I hope that it can be added ASAP. I have a workaround that embeds a link to the record in the base, and directs the team member to click on the link and open up the Activity pane to see the track changes. This is a workable solution, but far from an ideal one, as it requires the team member to interact with the base itself rather than the much more streamlined—and much less confusing—Interface.

Hi all,I feel like this question may have a very easy solution, however I have been unsuccessful with my attempts so far. Basically, I have created three interfaces with one or two pages in each. I want to share a couple of my interfaces with some of my team members, and the other interface with my other team members. I am struggling to understand how to accomplish this, such that they do not have access to the other's interfaces.In the sharing options, it gives me the option to share to individual bases via link, however when I test the link i can click back and open the other interfaces (I also tried with another account I can access to test it and the same result happened) I am sure I am missing something. And if there isn't a solution, a work around where I only get one page/interface is acceptable. Thank you,Ben

My client has a team of several Creators and one Owner. They want to make an Interface that is only viewable to the Owner. When I create a new Interface and choose not to share with users (I click "Not Now" on the dialogue box shown below), then I go to Manage Permissions, it shows that all Creators have permissions to the new Interface. I can't figure out a way to remove access to Interfaces for Creators. Is this even possible? Or do they need to be downgraded to have permissions set for them? 

My table has 3 fields:One field is country selection - e.g. USA, EU, Canada..One field is product - e.g. table, chair, cabinet...One field is supplier - e.g. supplier A, supplier B, supplier C. Does anyone know how to set rules/conditions in SAME field of airtable FORM INTERFACE at below scenarios?  Scenario 1 - select USA and table, filtered option is supplier AScenario 2 - select EU and table, filtered options are supplier B and supplier C I am not familiar "add condition" or "add condition group" in form filtering. Pls. advise if you know how to do it. Thank you.   

Hi, my interface was working fine before (like a couple of weeks ago).I created an interface where I can add a "payment" to a given "instalment".As you can see in the screenshot : allow users to create new records is activated.But in reality, I cannot... To me this is a bug... How do I report this for a (fast) fix please ? 

Hi friends,I built a pretty robust Interface app for 4 types of users. I applied permissions so the Interface shows only records that are relevant to the current logged in user only. However, I can't get rid of the option for the users to view the Base data (they have the "View Data" option when clicking on the upper left icon in the Interface suite.This jeopardizes my whole Interface app, as users being able to see other users data is a business show stopper.Please advise!

Hi!I'm trying to remove whitespace on the sides of a full-screen expanded view of a record in my interface to make the expanded view of a record more condensed - is there any possible way to do this? I think it was a possibility in the old interface designer but I haven't figured out an intuitive way to do it in this one.

Dear all,I'm using the calendar in the interface; in the month view, if there are more items, accondingly to the zoom setting, only some items are visible, while others are not visible, even though the label "+ x more" is present.Even by clicking in the day the other items appear only for less than 1 sec, after the click.Are there some ways in order to see the title of the items withuot open the right summarize column? Thank you. Best regards. A. In the Airtable interface it came to my attention today that Read Only users can see all other users who have access to the same interface. I simply assumed they couldn't share or see this information.Does anyone know how I disable sharing for read only users, or the ability to see who it is shared with?This is totally work stopping for me on my current project. In fact this is preventing me from wanting to use Airtable interfaces for any public facing work, even for people who have paid Airtable accounts. 

Hi, I am trying to create a sprint base / interface. The base is most likely already done, but I am facing issues with the interface, since I can set up only 3 hierarchy level.My Goal is to have an interface as a list with following "grouping" or nestingSprint - <DATE>Category (e.g. Webinars, Product Launch, Marketing Events)Project (e.g. <Product Name> Webinar)Tasks (e.g. Create Webinar Slides)Every level shown above is a separate table in my base and they are linked to each other.I tried several ways to solve this, e.g. with Grouping, but grouping is always on the lowest hierarchy level (Tasks), but I would need it for the Projects. Then I could group by Category and my problem would be solved. Another way would be to have no Projects, but instead nested Tasks (only 2 levels required then (Sprint + Tasks). However, th

I have a data in airtable of clients.For each clients I want to create a dashboard and share with them so they can check-in daily and see the progress.Let's say I have 100 clients.But airtable interface has limit of 50. What should I do now?

We're looking at purchasing a cheap laptop to keep onsite, but it would be so much easier to have ONE iPad, which we can easily get donated. I was searching about whether we could use chrome to view our interface on a chromebook, and I came across the above article that was posted yesterday. I have messaged support, but though I'd check here as well. The airtable version in the app store is 2 weeks old, and I am still getting the "view on desktop" message.  Looks like google play store was updated on 2/14...guess I need to wait and download it on my kid's android when she gets home from school 🙂 

I am trying to figure out a way to generate a bar chart of our active customers.Each of our customer records have a "start date" and an "end date" when they were active. I can easily graph the "start dates" (see attachment) but this doesn't show our cumulative numbers including people who are still active customers. If someone stops being a customer, I still want them to be counted for the years they were active, but not from their cutoff date.The closest I have come to doing this is by linking to another table that has a list of years and basically manually adding customers to years they were active, but surely there is a better way to do this. We have hundreds and hundreds of people. Maybe there's a formula that can do something clever, dunno.Ideas?

 Hi, this should be really simple but there doesn't seem to be a way of displaying percentage of a total (fields meeting certain conditions).Basically I have a list of leads. Each one is labelled as "converted to customer", "converted to partner" or has a blank field.Instead of just counting the number of records meeting the conditions above, I would like to know the percentage of conversions to customer and conversions to partner,  and display this on an interface page.Thanks. 

Without the option to select multiple records, we are required to set dependencies to move more than 1 record at a time. We need the option to click/drag to highlight the records we want directly on the timeline, and then grab and move them all at once.This is available in the non-interface Gantt view. Please make it available in the Interface Timelines too!

Today there was an update called Refreshed linked record picker in Interfaces which makes the record picker for linked fields more compact and consistent.  I like the idea, but it breaks some important things in our workflow.Namely, it does not show images, and it truncates the record names.Here you can see a snippet of an interface which shows a linked field.  There are a few records already linked (circled in green) with image thumbnails appearing on the right side of the card (red arrow).  Clicking the "Add group" button opens the new record picker (circled in blue) which severely truncates the record name and does not show image thumbnails.
