Hi folks, I am trying to create a calendar view (interface), where it would show events from my connected Google calendar but also events from the table of events I have created in my base, so essentially two sources of information. I found a way how to do it, but I do not find it ideal / satisfactory. I created a table with events in "base A", then I created second "base B" where I synced google calendar events. Then I synced table from base A into the table in Base B and created a calendar interface on top of base B. But this means I have two based with my events and I would like to have them in one. What it means is that I have:BASE A with calendar where I can add / edit events from airtable baseBASE B where I have calendar view with google calendar and also events from BASE A, but cannot edit them or add new because that is only in enteprise package, which I do not have Is there any way how to show/sync 2 tables (or specifically google calendar events + table o
I have two tables. Organisations and Investors connected through common tags.In the first page of my interface I can choose the list of investors from a dropdown. Once I select one investor, I get to see a list of tags connected to the investor on the same page. When I click on the tag, I see the list of organisations connected to that tag on the next page. I go through the list and choose one organisation for the investor using a checkbox field. As soon as I click the checkbox field, I want a column next to it updated with the name of the investor that I selected from the dropdown. Is there a way to pass the name of the investor selected from the dropdown from the first page to the second page?
Similar to using the ctrl F feature in a spreadsheet, is there an option to keep all records in the grid when using the search feature in an interface? Right now it's only filtering the view for records that contain the specific keywords. I know that this is possible in a data table but I don't see this feature in the interface.
HelloI am in the process of creating a web-based marketplace, and I've chosen to use Airtable to store and manage data. I've also developed an interface that includes a dashboard for vendors and a registration form for new vendors. Additionally, there's a product submission form for vendors to add their products to the marketplace. My question is whether it's possible to share this product submission form with multiple vendors and the interface view , and whether I can provide each vendor with their own table view. In other words, can I customize the experience for each vendor, allowing them to see and manage their specific data within the platform?"
Hi there! Can anyone tell me what this view in Airtable is called and how I can implement it? Thank you!
Hi all,I am building a web app with Pory (pory.io) as the frontend and Airtable as the backend.I would like users to log in and enter information into Airtable via Airtable forms.I have been able to set up users on Pory and integrate this with Airtable. However, when I fill out a form as a logged-in user the records that are created have "Anonymous" in the field "created by", and do not appear to be associated with the logged-in user.Is it possible to prefill a field in the the Airtable form with the ID of the logged-in Pory user, or to otherwise to associated the record that is created when the form is submitted with the logged-in user?Best regards,
I have a button automation that sends a message to Slack. In this message, I'd like a filtered list in the interface to be included, how do i do this?
Hello,Does anyone know how I could make the update function for this button dynamic to the user of the interface? The end goal is to do mass updates to records and I need the user to be able to choose what the update value should be. Perhaps I could tie it to a record picker to choose the update value? Thanks for reading!
Hello Quick question, I haven’t been able to work out how to do this, but may be missing something. Can I have a row of say 6 buttons across the top of a grid, to give quick and easy access to filters? ie - click on the “available” button and only available records show. I’d have buttons for “out of stock” etc too. Hope this is possible - better than having a drop down filter. Much more visual. Thanks, Andrew
Airtable have recently released a new popout feature for the calendars in interface designer. When clicking on a record in the calendar element, a new popout appears before you can get to the record detail view. To get to the record detail you have to click the expansion arrows in the top right of the popout:How can this popout be disabled and go back to how Airtable used to work where you clicked on a record in the calendar and it would take you straight to the record detail?
Currently it seems as if though there’s no way to tag and notify a user who does not have access to your interface; additionally, when a notification is sent, that notification links back to the interface it was sent from. Can it please be adjusted that a notification gets sent regardless of the interface they have access to, and the link that’s sent to them finds the relevant record on whatever interface is currently available to them?
I have an airtable interface that has a dropdown. When I select a value from the dropdown, it shows me some records in the gallery view. When I click on one of the field, it opens up details of a linked record in the list view. Now I want to show these results in the list view in a filtered format. Two of the values in the filter are supposed to be fixed and the third value can be changed by the user. Is there a way to do this using condition grouping? I tried to do it but everytime I publish the interface the filter vanishes. How do I save my filter settings? I tried an alternate approach using filter dropdowns (screenshot below) but I am not too happy with the UI. I want location as dynamic which user can select and the values under More to be fixed. Is there a way to hide the fixed values but still filter the results based on the default values and allow user to only filter by country?
Hello,I'm reaching out for help on Interface Design ---> How can I add an editable checklist into my Interface? I keep running into problems (outlined below). If there's a simple way to add a checklist of, for example, 10 items, with an editable checkbox by each one that would be great.Attempt 1: Use the "checklist" markdown formatting in a text box. While I am editing, I can check/uncheck boxes, however, when I publish the Interface and attempt to change the checkboxes in the live interface, I can no longer edit them. (Meaning, only "editors" can check/uncheck boxes, but normal Interface users cannot). This is the feature that uses the checkbox in a text list instead of a bullet or dash.Attempt 2: Inserting a "checkbox" field into the interface as an element. I figured I could just insert the checkbox from a "checkbox" column into the Interface, but the formatting doesn't work. If I use the default label, it will only sit above the text box (making a "list" view
Hi all - I've noticed a new issue in interfaces. When I add a text element, it does not expand to show multiple lines of text. In the screenshots below, see that I've added a text element containing a bulleted list with two lines. They both appear when I'm clicked into the text box (although the blue box only surrounds the first line), but as soon as I click out of the text box the second line disappears. I cannot find a way to resize it. Didn't the resizing used to happen automatically as more lines were added?I feel like this has just started happening recently. Has anyone else noticed this issue? Thanks,Kelsey
@Phil_Rose @LarsJohnson I'm not sure who to direct this to, so I hope one of you can help.I need to get some idea of what is going on with the changes that seem to be going on. I have a interface designed for a client, and finally have reached the point were I am getting to have them upgrade their production account. To get ready I needed to make some final changes based on their feedback using my test account.I needed to add some list pages with sidesheets that are where some fields are made editable. The ones I have on the existing test interface were easy to format and allowed resizing of the fields as well as positioning several on a line. A partial section looks likeWith the changes that have been made all I can do is stack the fields with the labels to the left This is totally unacceptable. I know it looks like a minor thing, but this was only the simplest example. When you multiply the issue over the number of fields and pages i
I have two tables in my base - Organisation (Fields: Name, Company Tag, Industry tag, location, Okay to fund) Funder (Fields: Name, Company tag, Industry tag) My interface needs to do the following: Select a funder from the investor table.Select the location country from the organisation table. I want to provide the user the flexibility to choose a location.Match the company tag from the funder table to the company tag in the organisation table.Match the industry tag from the funder table to the industry tag in the organisation table.Show me a list of organisations for the above selected criteria sorted by okay to fund as yes.I have tried building an interface where I can select a funder to show the two tags. Now within each tag - I can show the list of organisation from the org table and the funders from the funder table. However I am kind of stuck with sorting to show only the okay to fund orgs and based on location. I want to understand how to use a filter that shows the results. Wou
I have developed an interface and published to regular users, having two different tables. However, currently, it only permits users to search within a single table. Is there a way to enable users to conduct searches across both tables from this interface?
Anyone else having issues with the Interface Designer? Mine is so laggy I can't even use it.
HiI am new on Interface, and I need to know it the thing I want to do can be done and how. I have a database with thousands of records o cases we are working on. I need to be aware and in control of several situations, each record is about a case and every case needs start with a formal notification to the a 3rd party, so in the table there is a field with the notified title and 2 posible answers yes or not.In my interface I want to see how many cases have not been notified, I know I can create a Page in the interface with a record summary and a filter, an then create a button on the interface to open the record summary page. But, what I want to do is not only see all the cases that are not notified, but also have the possibility to open each record in a diferente page, and work with the record, like edit the fields. Is that posible?
I'm using sidesheets in Interface Designer and want to add sections/groups for organization. Maybe it was luck, but I do have one sidesheet with sections that I cannot reproduce. View the screenshots. One is my base, and the other is from Airtable documentation. How can I add sections to a sidesheet when they are not available?
Hi All, I would like to create a button for the Airtable Interface which adds 6 months to today's date. Upon pressing the button, I want the date field to be updated to today's date + 6 months. Is this possible?Would love to hear your solution for this! Thanks!
Hi, I am creating a chart that shows Purchase Orders grouped by status, but I am getting a group for "null." The status field is a drop-down single select with the 3 options below. I've confirmed that the status of all records is not empty. I have also tried manually adding a filter to filter out records where the status is empty, but I still get the "null" group. How can I get rid of the "null" grouping in the chart?
Hello everyone 🙂 Working on learning Interfaces, which are pretty neat! I have a pair of lists that I am bringing in with some fields I need NOT editable by the user, but some that are (see image, only the 3 arrows show the fields I want editable)Is there a way to do this without adding extra fields that are something like formulas to show name etc? I'm sure it is something very simple that I am missing! Thanks!
Hello! Is it possible to make a URL that opens a specific date on an Interface with a Calendar? You can link to specific dates on Calendar Views by adding "?date=YYYY-MM-DD" to the end of the URL. Is the same functionality or something similar available for Calendar Interfaces?I've looked through a bunch of help pages, and can't find anything that mentions it one way or the other.--The first issue I'm trying to solve is that when you search for an event on a calendar interface, you have the ability to open the event details, but not the ability to jump to that event on the Calendar (this is the only thing I miss from Google Calendars, but I miss it a lot). The only option is to navigation arrow click through weeks/months until you reach that date, which is extra annoying if the date happens to be years in the past or future. I could potentially fix this by adding a button to the event details page that links to the Calendar Date of the event. The second issue I'm trying to so
Is it possible to embed the interface into a webpage? Kinda like you can do with an Airtable gallery view?
