Hi. I want to send a form to customers, for filling out their personal information and information of the product they want to return (but they are not sending it back yet). When we check their information and approve it, then they can send the item back to us. In this step I want to update form, by adding the field "tracking number". Is this possible?I already have a form, but I was wondering if I can update it, by adding extra field. To that I would get another field when the form is updated. I know that you can update info in a form using Fillout.Thanks in andvance

I want to create a single compact form where the top half of the screen is a tabular view of my Contacts table records and the bottom half of the screen is a tabular view of my Activities table records. Any given Contact record selected in the top view is the filter criteria for Activities records displayed in the bottom view. I know how to create linked tables and fields, my question is how I create this classic (old school) parent-child DB browsing view? Thanks.

How do I share an entire table with multiple views? I don't want to share the entire base or a specific view. I want to share the table within the base, and it has multiple views. This prevents me from sharing an table of information, without having to share a link for each view.  The views I have designed make it easier to progress through helpful views of the information. There is no need for someone to get the entire base. And it makes no sense to give the person 10 view links for the same table of information, just presented differently.  It also is less helpful to provide all the views in an "everything view"; which defeats the point of using the views in the first place which is to highlight relevant information.  I don't want to have to create an interface either just to share a table.It is called Airtable, not Airview or Airbase. Why is it not more straightforward to share an entire table of views? Where can I find this feature? And if the feature doesn't ex

Hello everyone When I try to connect Twitter to Airtable it says: The account being added is already logged in. So when I log out of Twitter in my browser, it just logs me in a small window and it’s not really being added. What am I doing wrong? Thanks in advance.

So I was able to write out a simple formula in a table to see what percentage of the people in that row participated out of the total number of people in the table, but I had to manually enter the total number of people - the formula looks like this - ({# of Participants}/433)*100 It works, but the issue is that every time we have more participants, I’ll need to update the 433 number. How can I get this to update automatically every time a new person is added to the total? Thanks!

Hello community When you are creating a new record using a form, you can search for other records to be linked to the one you are creating (if you have a linked field). I have been reading the different previous posts and I understood we can only search by the primary field. So, in our company, we set up all primary fields as a concatenation of different data, let’s say “Location - Name”. In the search bar to identify the right record If I type Location A, I got all the results with Location A - working fine If I type Name A, I got all the results with Name A - working fine But if I type Location A and Name A, no more result at all Is there a way to search for several words or just letters in the search bar? I am trying to set up and “Address Field” that has the full address, ie: “1234 Summerset Dr.”. How can I sort that field A-Z without it just sorting by the number portion of the address? Thank you in advance!

I've seen variations of this question, but can't seem to find the best solution for my use case. (FYI - I'm on the Free version) I need to create sequential numbers based on a linked record. Example: Our "Jobs" table has all our jobs and their corresponding data. At times, certain jobs require a change order.  The format we use for this is the 544-01, 544-02, 652-32, 652-33, and so forth. The first number specifying the previously assigned Job# and the second being the change order #. When using autonumber the numbers aren't sequential if a record in between isn't specified by a single select as a Change Order. Making our records seem scattered and really confusing the customer when they received change order 15 and the next one change order 18. Any suggestions? 

Hello folks! I am trying to run updates to a table with a CSV file but I’m not seeing the option to merge records, only import them. I tried this on a few different tables and am still not seeing it. Anyone else? Troubleshooting ideas? Thanks!

I am looking for a way to import data from a CSV file but match on more than just one field. The CSV Import App appears to be limited in allowing matching to occur only on one field. Is there an alternative solution to importing data and matching on multiple fields? My use case is I am importing people who have purchased tickets at a recent event but I know some of the people are already present in the base. I would like to match on Full Name, email address, and Street Address 1 to avoid duplication of existing records while also preventing inappropriate overwriting of data. Thanks!

[iOS] Unexpected cursor jump to end of textbox by_a_Replacing Paste :::1️⃣ The flaw.  Here's a crooked example of it – just for putting an Airtable non-rich text data box to the test on iOS.  All I would ask you to do is go through the almost stepless scenario of an immediate and in-place "Select / Copy / Paste", or perhaps "Select / Copy / Reselect / Paste" – the latter in case the selection gets dropped upon Copy.  The selection can be just a_single word, or it can be whichever text portion you choose to select. The outcome of this essentially meaningless scenario will be particularly striking when performed from an editing position somewhere early in the text box at hand.  Indeed, the result of the "whole" operation is supposed to have nothing actually changed, but a side-effect makes the insertion point out of the blue jump to end of field, which when it happens makes one wonder where the cursor may have gone

Did I miss the announcement where Airtable said that they were changing the format for share links for Forms?The change briefly broke access to my form and now my prefill formulas are no longer working. Is anyone else seeing this change / am I late to the game?" 

I do not use AirTable but am in charge of the billing. A team member added 3 people to edit a document and their permission level is EDITOR. How can they edit the document without being charged?Can someone explain how can I make this unpaid and they have access to the document. I've been trying to chat to a person for the last week.

Hi All,I use Airtable on my iPhone, Mac.I have photo attachment on a record 360. I can see the photo attachments in full, on the Mac, but I cannot see the photos in the same record, on the iPhone.I can only see the thumbnails.Also, I can still see the photo attachments on record 1-359 on my iPhone. However, cannot see photo attachments from record 360 upwards. Again, only thumbnails. 

Hi All I am creating a New Patient Form which requires the patients physical address set out as following. Address line 1 Address line 2 Address line 3 City Country Postcode Is there a way of creating one Question on the Form (ie Address) that bring up those fields as answer boxes to that question? I have created a new form and set email triggers based on a form condition. Each trigger sends to to 3 google groups. I tested quite a bit and all seemed well until I just learned that not everyone in the groups are receiving an email when a form is submitted. We uses the groups regularly so I know the problem is not with google. Is there any reason some recipients in a group, including myself, would not be getting a notification when a form is submitted?

Sometime between two weeks ago and today, my INTERFACE form changed on create (submit) - from having just the create button when click which showed a small dialog that popped up (still leaving the layout behind empty asking 'do you want to create another entry' which I tend to close to now a full fledge white page with the verbiageThank you for submitting the form!Submit another response If I wanted this I would have made an outside form.I have folks entering data into the system - they do not need this.  And there is no way to customize it, and turning it off the submit another , prevents them from getting to the form at all. Please bring back the keep the form present / small dialog option! More so - please make change notices available.  Almost daily now something has changed in both the Home page and the Interface section that is slowing down my teams.

Hello all. I am hoping to organize my backpacking gear with AirTable. Weight is an important attribute of each item. What’s the best way to add a field for weight? Ideally, I would like to set up the field so it could calculate both lbs and oz. So 18 oz would recalculate to 1 lb 2 oz. Is that possible, or should I just keep things simple and record everything in ounces? Thanks for your help.

Hi All! For the Gantt Chart view, does anyone know if there's a way to have airtable automatically adjust all dependent task start dates when the predecessor task is moved up (backward in time)?  I see that airtable automatically pushes out all dependent tasks automatically (this is great) but if a task duration is shortened or end date is moved back, all of the dependent tasks stay exactly where they are. Is there a setting I need to turn on to enable automatic date adjustments in both directions?  This seems like a very basic feature for Gantt charts and doesn't quite make sense to have it only for updates in one direction but not the other! Jack
