If I embed a view on a website and leave the "Show view controls" enabled, then a visitor adjusts a filter or sort criteria in their browser, does that impact other viewers? Or are the view controls unique to that visitor for that browser session?Essentially, I want to know if one person changing a setting impacts the base itself, or just that visitor's experience.

How do i share a base with someone so they can input it into their workspace and I no longer have shared access?

When I changed the formula for a field, I got an dependencies notification saying that the change would affect a base that I "do not have access to," which was created by an "Unknown User."I'm the owner of this Pro account. There are only two other seats on it. How can there be an inaccessible base and an unknown user? Over time I've removed users who have left our office, and deleted some of the bases they created. Could this be what this notification refers to? I went ahead and saved the change, so I can't screenshot the notification.

Hi All,When I open a PDF attachment in Airtable, there are tools to comment directly on the PDF (great). But everything that I annotate on the PDF does not get saved. It disappear as soon as I leave the PDF view.What's the point of annotating a PDF if it disappear right away? Anyone knows how to save the annotations?

I filtered a column in my grid view spreadsheet and all the data went missing. The first time it happened I was able to undo and got it back. The second time, however, I was not able to undo.I know the data is still there because it shows when I click on the Kanban and Gallery Views.Does anyone know what could be going on?

Hello all, I am trying to figure out if it is possible to a column in Table1 show matching names from Table2 based on those names falling into a date range specified on Table 1. I'll try to explain further:Table 2 will have the data:Entity | Start Date | End DateAnd Table 1 will have 4 columns:Person  |  Start Date  | End Date | Matching Entity from Table2For example, where Person 1 on Table 1 has a date range that overlaps with more than 1 Entity from Table 2, the "Matching Entity" column on Table 1 will list all Entities whose date ranges overlap with Person 1 (E.g. - "Entity1, Entity3, Entity 6")Does anyone know if there is some way of accomplishing this with Airtable?

I have a need to insert new select option into field but when i try to do it with node api i get. Class { error: 'INVALID_MULTIPLE_CHOICE_OPTIONS', message: 'Insufficient permissions to create new select options', statusCode: 422 } I have admin permissions. Is there a way to insert array of new options into Multi select field ?

Hi, I’ve been informed by my legal team that because Airtable doesn’t have Privacy Shield in place, I cannot use it for the storage of personal information relating to EU citizens. Therefore I’m going to have to stop storing this data in Airtable. If you have any update on this I’d be grateful. Tim

Why is it that you cannot hide the primary field in the Kanban view? I mean, really, I don’t need the primary field displayed on the kanban view as it just takes up space. I don’t understand this silly restriction that AirTable forces upon us. Can someone from AirTable please chime in and explain why this is.

Hello Everyone, I am having a methodology issue.I am working on a personal price tracking project, in my case, it is computer parts.  But I believe this could translate to almost anything. I have multiple tables, one for each component type (CPUs, RAM, Motherboards, etc).  These tables display the characteristics of the product. There is an additional table that is called Updates, the updates table links to each of the component type tables, and tracks, price, link to vendor and date the entry was added. What I'm trying to achieve, is on the components tables, I'd like to show the most recent price for each component.   I've read a few examples that people have said about sorting by having a Rollup of the date:max(values)  However, I'm not able to discern how I will retrieve the price if I did that.   Can anyone orient me toward solving t

Hi! I’m trying to figure out how to ‘get’ the url of the page my form is on. I’m deploying an embedded airtable form into hundreds of articles (We run a news site). I can not manually put the url in. Most forms will tell you ‘where’ a user filled it out… is there an easy extension/way to get the url and submit it into a ‘single select’ or short text field?

Hi First I have a table with a linked column that returns unique values (allowing multiple records = FALSE). Note the actual source column is a formula. Second I want to build a kanban view over those linked unique values but the option doesnt show. What am I missing?

I have seen posts dating back to 2016 asking for the ability to lock (protect) data at the field level, but I do not see that this issue has been resolved. Not being able to protect critical data is a serious concern for me in our organization. It is far too easy for someone to overwrite a record - with no warning whatsoever - and the user might not even notice that they did so. I would love to see the ability to lock a field once the data has been retrieved for use in other systems, or to lock a record entirely once all info has been collected. Using separate views to achieve this is not practical, but looks to be the only way to accomplish this. Please tell me I’m wrong and that there is a workaround for this. Thank you.

We use a long text, rich format, field for explanation purposes however even with the height set at Extra Tall a lot of text is still out of view. Is there a way to increase the height for certain rows or a way to inform users letting them know to expand the record to read more? Not all fields require the expanded height and we really want to avoid spreading the fields so far, as it becomes harder to read all other fields.

I'm working on a script that will move records (and its child records) from one base to another. It's mostly working but one issue I'm running into is figuring out the table information of a linked record. For instance, I have two tables: Companies and Users. A User belongs to a Company. If I wanted to move User 1, all the information and Company 1 with all its information, I need to know table information for both so I can grab the fields for each table and create the new records.So when I have a User.company, I'm given all the field information but nothing about the table. Is there an easy way to look the table info up? I was hoping tableId was attached to the field or some identifier that shows which table this field is to but I don't see it. Since I can rename a linked field name, I can't use the field name to search for the table. For instance, I can rename the Company field to Organization in the User table so searching for an "Organization" table wouldn't help. 

I'm very new to scripting and my javascript knowledge from college is a very distant memory, so bear with me. I'm trying to create a script that will essentially generate a mini-form with three fields from my table that will create a new record when filled out.I've been successful to a point but running into some issues. Code is below. Here are my questions:Is my syntax correct to create one new record with multiple fields filled through user input?How do I ensure the user input can be validated as a number for a currency column? My parseFloat() function is still causing errors (scripting block says it cannot create a record because it needs to be a number).Both Payment Month and Payment Year are requiring objects, which I assume has to do with the fact that both fields are single select. Here goes:I need help in assigning values (in €) to different companies in different projects. Let's say this is kind of a portfolio approach to a company's project.On sheet 1: I have a Project List with a lookup column to a partner list (on sheet 2).On sheet 2: I have a Partner List with indication on which projects they are participating.I would like to assign, on sheet 1, an indication of each partners assigned project value (€), and have that reflected (separately and total value) on sheet 2.One project can have multiple partners, and the same partner can be in several projects. Do you have a solution for this?
