I have integrated Airtable tables into Power Bi desktop using API key. Now I want to set up the auto refresh of data on Power Bi online and it asks for credentials. I am not sure what credentials I should be using as I tried API key & Bearer token, but nothing seems to work. Authorization worked well on Power Bi desktop (check my post here: Airtable to PowerBI easy integration with API key). If anyone has any ideas, please help me to set up auto refresh. As you can see a formula that generates a date. Also as you can see, no filtering options by date for this formula field. Have tried a RAW and unformatted date in the formula which achieves the same result.

I issue invoices and progress reports on the 15th and last day of each month. My reports compile work that was done in the days leading up to that deadline. I also issue Payroll reports weekly - depending on the client - end of the week may be Sunday, Friday or Thursday. So any given record will be reported for Payroll on a weekly basis (if it is a time record) or invoicing / progress reports (time and receipts). At present I have created a Date table that matches each date to the corresponding Payroll cut off or Invoice cut off and then does a lookup to bring in the Payroll Report date and the Invoice / Progress date. My Date table needs to be updated periodically (right now it is good until Dec 31 2023). I just wonder if there is a formula I can use to get these dates to load automatically based on the Date_Actual (the date work was done or a receipt collected). Thanks!

How would one sync two tables in the same AirTable base? Is this easily possible? For instance, I have two tables in one base, each table is named Contacts, how would one sync those two tables so that if a contact record is changed/added/deleted on one table, it does the exact same change on the other table (all in the same base)?

Is it possible to create a unique page in the Page Designer extension for each table in a base or is the page created at the base level and applied to all tables? Thanks, Chris

Hi AT community. Looking for some advice and tips (btw, I’m new to Airtable). We’re creating an informal buddy/mentor matching program within our team. Our table is fairly straightforward and folks filled out a form: [record] Name areas of strength/expertise [open text] areas of growth [open text] paired for strength [hidden] paired for growth [hidden] The last two are to keep track of who’s paired up with whom. The ask: how can AT be leveraged to create matches between a listed strength/expertise with someone looking to grow in that subject. A few caveats, we don’t expect an automated pairing as other nuances will come into play (like time zones) but just something semi-automated that helps synthesize the blobs of input. I’m trying to create automatic due dates for video production timelines. We have different production timelines for different videos - ads and standard videos with a 5 week turnaround time, short form videos with a 1 week turnaround time, and instant videos with a 2 day turnaround time. I want to be able to select a final due date for the video and for the production due dates to calculate automatically based on the type of video. I’ve sort of figured it out - my problem is that the formatting is very difficult to read, and I can’t change the formatting. Here’s what I have: I’d like the due dates to look like a regular date without the time, but it won’t let me choose the formatting when I add the IF statements.

Zapier is saying that “New Record in View” is being removed by AirTable, is this true?

Hi Airtablers, I’d like to turn a normal link into a Rich Text Editor link automatically. See screenshot - “Link” is just text, “Zoom link” is a Rich Text link with the Zoom link as the click through. I’d love to automate turning the Link into a Zoom link whenever a new Link is added. Would this be possible?

Hey all - My client has a list of city addresses. When the public completes certain applications, their neighbors within 400 feet need to be notified. Is there a way to use Google maps to queue the addresses (in our dataset) within 400 feet? We’d like these addresses to then be linked in a postcard table. I discovered a method that is reasonably simple to action that enables an Airtable user to integrate the WPMU Forminator plugin for Wordpress with Airtable. Hello guys. I am working on a data which consists of some groups. At my base, there are many spreadsheets as in the excel. However, when i share that link as a “share view” it just creates link for the first spreadsheet. I want to see that sheets/groups horizontally grouped at shared view. As you see in the secreenshot, I want to show my groups horizontally, not vertically. Thank you very much.

I’ve scanned the forum and I do not see a way to share JUST the view to a specific user in the same way a base or workspace is shared. Am I missing it?

While using a form on mobile, if the screen rotates, it resets the form and all entered data is lost. Totally unacceptable if you want to use the form as a facility to capture a walk around audit / taking photos, moving the phone around a lot, putting it in your pocket, etc… Can this please be fixed? The fear of losing your hard entered data is a BIG consideration as to whether or not you use mobile forms to capture your data AND restricts the use cases for data collection within a business. I think the web version is fine, but the app version causes this issue. Difficulty being that you NEED to use the app on the mobile for everything else, which actually works. And when opening a link to an airtable form it defaults to the app that you have installed instead of directly to the browser. Please HELP!

Let’s say I have a Base with 2 tables “people” and “countries”. The people table contains a “country” column that links to the “country name” column in the countries table. Now I want to sync the grid view in BOTH tables to a new base (so that the new base also contains 2 tables). At the moment, I do this 1 table/view at a time, and in the process I lose the links between the tables (so that the “country” column in the people table ceases to be a linked record and becomes plain text). Is there any way to sync multiple/linked tables without losing the links?

I understand two-way sync won’t work currently, maybe never. But is there a way that I can re-link data? For example… Base A is a Product Catalog for Sales, and shares project data to Base B Base B is a Product Catalog for Designers, and shares product updates back to Base A the product updates appear in Base A, but they are not linked to their original Products. IS there a way to VLookup or automate the re-linking? The idea is that Base A adds items that Sales needs. Base B collects the limited info that is needed for Design to work on projects, and shares limited design updates back to Base A. I currently have this all done in a single Base that gets messy, and gives access to too many eyes on information that is not needed. Since there is no way to block views to tables based on user groups, the idea of Sync has me interested in seeing how to setup this via separate bases.

I have a column of Attachment type. I want to create a formula based on the number of uploaded/attached files. How can I count the number of uploaded/attached files in that column?

I’m not sure if this is an irrational question or not, but is there a way to set up some kind of button (one) that will issue a command to run an entire base/all it’s rows ‘at the same time’? The reason I am asking this is in relation to connecting to automation software like n8n, zapier etc and reducing the number of api calls (they’re not an issue now but could be in the future). In my usage case, I have a table that sends and receives sms via n8n and Twilio. I only want to send messages in bulk on a manual basis. At the moment, I have a Checkbox Table that when checked sends the message to the user, and if I need to send to a 1000+ people I would copy and paste down the whole Checkbox select. The issue in my mind with this is that - particularly as the row count increases with more people in the future - there will become milliseconds delays between the first select and the last select, thereby firing off automations (which activate on select) at different times. Hi Everyone Assuming I have the a ‘location address’ for each user (where the full address is contained in one cell and not separated out in the form of Address 1, Address 2, Region, Country Etc across multiple cells assigned to that specific user), does anyone know of a methodology to return the number of users within a ‘X’ radius? Someone mentioned I could do this via the Google Maps API but would appreciate any instruction on how to do this. :slightly_smiling_face: ? For example. Of 1k users, I require a list of users who live within 5kms of a particular zip/post code. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you Stephen

Hi I have a very basic base with a list of locations and their details. I would like to know if there is a way once the address is ‘clicked’ in a record it can take me to a maps product such as Google maps, etc. that will allow directions/location information? Thanks

I don’t think I have come across this before… Activity shows ‘records were linked’ = ‘contacts’, but there are no records linked (at least not anymore) and the activity doesn’t show they were removed? Does anyone have any ideas?

Hi All, at the moment i am looking for a tip regarding previews from Google Drive folders. In my table i have a field where i place links from Google Drive folders - and i wonder if there is a way i can have a small preview of this image (file) in another field in the same table. Actually i can only see the https://… link but its pretty unhandy having to click on every link provided to check the image, the link is leading to. Is there a way. Thanks in advance Best Martin
