Hi I am creating Airtable form where my first field is mobile no. What I want to do is if mobile no. already exists in my excel/google sheets/airtable database , then a different set of fields needs to be displayed and in case the mobile no. does not exist in my database another set of fields nformeed to be displayed. How do I go about this in the Forms?

I’m trying to add a table element within a form, is this possible? On the form I’ve created, I want to allow users to add items to a table within the form. For context, the form will be a quotation, the table element needs to allow unlimited rows to be added, each row with several columns (Description, Quantity, Item Price, Total Price, etc). Is this possible to do without creating a link to a separate table elsewhere? Any help appreciated!

Hello all, new to Airtable. Trying to do something that would be pretty simple in sheets or excell. I want to count the number of occurrences a string appears in a column. Say, equipment in inventory, and counting the number of times that gear appears in the table to compare the number used to the number in inventory. In theory, I would love something like the “Count” column below. Where the name is the record, gear and quantity are referenced from another table. Name | Count | Gear | Quantity item1| 2 | apple | 2 item2| 1 | orange| 1 item3| 2 | apple | 2 Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

All, I am attempting to add photos to an attachnment field that already has photos in it. An error appears after about 2 minute2 of loading “error uploading files”. The photos are small, all up maybe 2MB so size is not the issue. The internet is not dropping out. This is really shitting me! Also, same thing happens trying to upload a PDF. What is going on? Tried in Chrome and Edge (windows) - no luck.

Hi there, I have an issue as follow : We have a PostgreSQL database and we created Zaps to create a record in AirTable for each new entry. The issue is that when an item in the database is updated, it creates a new record in AirTable with the same ID. How can I proceed ? Should I use find and replace in Zapier ? I know it’s not an “AirTable problem”, but I think it’s a good place to ask. Thanks for any help.

We currently store user information in Postgres, and our team queries this information to display analytics for UTM links (current in Klipfolio) I’m looking to sync information between our Postgres DB and Airtable, where we can create a UTM link in Airtable and later pull in information (periodically) from Postgres to display user data originating from that link in a table. What’s the best way to do this where we can update the information regularly with minimal manual effort?

I don’t see the ability to sync field tooltip + title. it seems the fields can be modified post sync & don’t reflect changes? Can someone provide insight on behavior for this feature? Thank you in advanced.

We use Airtable for Work in Progress at our golf cart repair shop. We have numbered cones that we physically put on customer carts in for repair. My goal is to limit the number of units that come in for service to 20 units. I want to create a field on the service table that corresponds to the numbered cones. So I would match a service ID to a cone number. Ideally, I would like to use a single select and once I assign “1”, I would like that option to be unavailable for the other records on that table. Right now single select will allow me to keep selecting “1” for all of the records on that table. I also tried setting up the cones a separate table and using a linked field. That didn’t work either. Open to any suggestions! Thank you in advance!

We need full image to be shown as thumbnail. But the image is being cropped now. FYi -The images are being synced from Box folder. Is this possible?

Chart Blocks somehow baffle me. I have a table with a month per year (so 2018 - 04 april) for instance as records and per record I have stuff like FB total likes, newsletter total size, IG total size. I would like to have 1 block that has all 3 together as lines, but I can’t seem to figure out how. Am I doing it wrong or is it not possible with the table I made?

Hello, i create 5K PDFs every month: Digital Products, Invoices and so on. Now i start with airtable and search for a new tool to create PDFs automaticly when an entry is created or updated. We want to store the PDF in dropbox and link from airtable to the dropbox-pdf or other storages. Any idea which cheap and stable tool and plugin we can take? We work also with Make/Integromat in combination, so we are a little bite more felxible in the tools. I like the pricings from pdfshift.io (5k PDFs = 39$), PDFMonkey (6k PDFs = 30$) and api2pdf.com (5k PDFs = 4$) . I dont like documint (5k PDFs = 250$) Are there airtable plugins avalable or other solutions? Best regards Oliver

Hi guys We have several columns including ‘multiple select’ options within and wish to combine all these columns into one. Is there a way to do this across the entire table, or do we need to manually duplicate the options and then manually go through each record to combine everything? Many thanks in advance Harvey

Hi, Today I started noticing a change when displaying records in the calendar view. Now the record name shows every bit of information from all the fields that are not hidden when we expand the record to check more details. I wouldn’t want to hide all these fields in the expanded view in order to shorten’ the record name in the calendar view. Is there any way to restore it to the way it was before, to list only the name of the record no matter what fields are shown or hidden? I appreciate your help

It used to be that when you used a URL filter for a shared view, the viewer could remove it using the ‘Filter’ button in the view. Now it appears that they can’t. This is actually great for my current purpose, and I think great in general, but the documentation still says that it can be changed by the recipient. Can someone confirm? In the picture, the view shows all hours entered by employees into a timesheet. The shared view has a URL filter to show one specific employee. When you press the filter button, it says that the view is filtered, but doesn’t offer an option to change it. Again, I think this is actually a better way of doing things, but it doesn’t match the Airtable documentation notes.

Hi, I’d like to create a field that automatically fills in only some of the data from a multiple select field. For example, I have a field that records whether a therapy is long term/short term; and sometimes includes how many weeks long the therapy is. I’d like another field to automatically pull in the long/short term info but to not also include how many weeks long the therapy is. Thanks in advance!

In the preview when I’m making the gallery view, I can open up items linked in a section (e.g. Games made by the developer) and it goes to the corresponding record so you can see details (Like where to buy the game, image of the box art etc) but when I export it to view on the web, it’s not interactive any more. You can just open the gallery view for the developer, but the games just show as a list of text entries, and don’t link to the relevant games. Is this something you can do? I wanted to create an app and website where people can click through to see the details of games people have made… See the image for an example of what I want to happen, and how it shows on the website… How the app works in the preview when setting up the gallery view Website view

Hi, Is there a way to increase the amount of information shown on a card without having to open up each card individually? I have multiple Interventions matched to each issue yet only two interventions appear on each card in the Gallery view. Any suggestions?

I have a table of initials of our employees that are used to tie them to other tables. Someone accidentally created two duplicates of one one of the employees, so I have 3 rows with records linked to “CO” in the name field of each of row. I need to unlink all of the records from the two duplicate “CO” fields and link them to the original “CO” field. Is there a way to do this easily without manually adjusting each linked record for the duplicate “CO” fields?

Hello here, i am trying to find solution for simple action, but i cannot find it so the situation: table 1 product (unique) EAN (= barcode) table 2 barcode (from scanner) result (checkbox) what i wish to do: scan with barcode, save the number to table 2 (=fill the value in barcode) compare the value from table 2 with EAN in table 1 if the result is true, make checkbox on, if false, leave the field not checked so is there any way to do it with formula ? If the cell is BLANK I want it to show up as blank in the field rather than ERROR For example: IF ({Date of Donation} = BLANK()," “) but this isn’t working and right now I do not have the if statement so it is showing up as error. I also want another IF statement that says : IF {{First Name} & {Last Name} = BLANK(), " {Organization }"} So if the first name and last name are blank enter the organization name instead.

For this retail example, I am importing sales data into a Sales table, which automatically updates the Inventory table. Here’s what I want to solve for: As file is being imported into Sales table, check productID against Inventory table to see if productID exists, if it does not, do not import. Thanks for your help!

Hello everybody! I was wondering how do I see what a form password is set to. Is there a way to view that?

I have one table filled with dorms. The dorms have other fields like “Building” and “Floor.” I have another table with assignments to clean specific dorms. If I create a cleaning assignment but instead of a specific dorm number, I enter just a building, I want a “Find Records” automation to find all the dorms assigned to that building (that part I know how to do) and then I want the automation to turn around and create a separate cleaning assignment record in Table B for each Dorm record found in Table A. How can I do this? I bangin` my head against the wall trying to figure it out. I think I would prefer a script but I don’t even know how to begin with that.

I work with Los Angeles Times newspaper. Airtable has mistakenly disabled my team’s account. After multiple inquiries to customer support, I am getting NO help. They are saying that the account was accidentally disabled do to an association with a competing media company. It seems airtable has disabled all accounts with the LA Times URL email address due to a competing media company who is inquiring about moving to an Enterprise account. After days of explaining that this is not my company and getting nowhere with support, and this effecting our business, Meawhile, my account is still attempting to be charged, even though we are unable to even log in to the free version of the platform. I am resorting to posting this here, in the hopes that someone might tell me how to speak with a senior customer support person and get this resolved, before we have to take legal action.

Hi guys! I’m using Airtable as a backend for my client app. In this app (that I developped with Webflow for the front), my clients (UX/UI design) can manage their different projects and send tickets for their maintenance. When creating a ticket and when a commenting a ticket, I want to send an email notifications. For that I wanted to use Automations. Despite having a formula that pull up the user email and inject it in the automation, the date isn’t showing in the automation panel. Can you help me sorting this out? Thanks a lot, Olivier
