I can no longer add collaborators to one of my workspaces. Is there a limit on the number of collaborators I can have on a free base?

Hi all, I’m in need of a Kanban view with swimlanes and I have hence installed the app Matrix and created that “Kanban” view. This view will be used to share information with the rest of the company and external clients so I would like to share it in the same way that I can do with other regular views. On Airtable pages describing this app e.g. https://support.airtable.com/hc/en-us/articles/360004334874-Matrix-app There is a share arrow on the top left of the window but that share arrow doesn’t appear when I have created such a view. See screenshot. Have I done something wrong? I have a pro subscription. Thanks in advance

I have multiple bases where I am tagged as a collaborator on tasks. is there a way to consolidate all the tasks into a view in a single base?

I am using AirTable on OS X. I am using it to organize a private project that needs to link to hundreds of GB of local files so I can look at the file as I fill out information about it in the database. However, I cannot find any way to do this. I found one thread on this topic that did not work at all for me; I do not want the file to open in a browser (and it won’t, regardless), I want it to open in its default software on my computer. Is there anything I can do? Thanks. EDIT: I want to add that they’re mostly video files. I’ve tried uploading one of them – even though I would never be able to upload them all – and even when it’s uploaded there is no way to easily play back the file. I just need it to open and play quickly, so uploading and redownloading something that’s 1) large, and 2) already on my computer is pretty pointless.

Hi, I am a commercial real estate broker, and built a database of all the buildings I have a mandate on. I have several tables, around 60 records and more than a hundred fields to describe them. I need to be able share a selection of them (not all the fields) with my customers (potential buyers/tenants). I mean a specific selection adapted to the customer’s needs. I tried two ways : Softr, but I came to the conclusion that it’s not suitable to sharing more than a few fields for each record, and is not flexible enough for my needs. Sharing an Airtable filtered gallery view, specific to each client, restricted to “copy”, which is fine… ans much simpler (and cheaper). I understand the the client can download/copy the information contained in this view. And make it’s own Airtable database or CSV with it. But is there a risk he could potentially access to the rest of my database ? Other fields, records or tables ? Is a kind of backdoor p

I have Table (Pay Records) that is a list of records of when we pay staff. The table has a linked record to a Pay Month table which is a list of months/year (Dec 2020, Jan 2021, etc…). A Staff can have more than 1 Pay Record for a month. In the Pay Month table, I have a record for Dec 2020, for example, and the linked field to Pay Records has mulitple records, which are all records in Pay Records paid in Dec 2020. This is all corect. I would like to have a list of Staff and a Rollup of their pay, as some staff could be paid more than once in Dec 2020. Any advise on how to achieve this? Super thanks in advance.

Hi, I’m new here and just learning this service. Is there a way index and match google calendar with information in your base sheet? I want the subject of the google calendar to match up with name of each row? I need to be able to upload new dates, appointment, to my google calendar and have the new date show with the matching row. Also it needs to update the old appointment dates with the new appointment dates. Or if there a better way to do this? I will be uploading new appointment dates a few times a month. I use to use xlookup index and match on excel but would like to use a service like Airtables instead. I’m not hooked on Google calendars, I would be happy to do all this withing Airtables if I know how. My goal is having my 8000 contacts in a base sheet then having a way to bulk upload the new appointment dates ever week or two and have them index and update the correct matching contact. I use ID tags for each contact for my matching. Thank you Kim

Hi Airtable! It has been a while since I posted. I have been busy working for a small consulting company. It’s been exciting! Now for my question. I would like to delete records from my DB. I have a smart keyboard (Logic) for my iPad and I was trying to delete records, using Airtable desktop version, but I could not figure out how to do this. Does anyone know if it works or if so, how to do it? I tried Command X, but that didn’t work. Thank you, Mary

I am wondering if there is a way to design a page for a record using the page designer app and then have that page sent via email through an automation? The idea is that the app would fill a custom made invoice sheet w/ record information and then be triggered to send the document via email once triggered. I don’t see any way to do this right off the bat but would love to know if anyone has done this before. Thank you!

Hello, Airtablers. I have a question regarding using the ‘Data Fetcher’ app to pull in data via API to a table and then updating that data. Basically, when I run the call it brings back the information on ~157 products in the database. We use this data to then sync into Webflow to populate an ecommerce menu. The challenge we have is that the products we have change fairly frequently and we’d like for the product to not show up when it’s no longer available. In Airtable, how could we get records in Airtable to be removed when an updated API call runs and those specific records are no longer returned (because they aren’t available). Any seeds of ideas greatly appreciated.

Not sure how to search for this so if it is out there already please point me in the direction… I am wanting to use a synced database that gets updated with a list of People’s Names and their email information (I can figure this out). I then want to have an option on our form that allows the person submitting to choose in the list multiple people that is populated from the synced database that is updated with current names and emails. I then want to create an automated Submitted email that would go to everyone who was selected on the form to receive the communication it was submitted. And then one more automation once the Status is changed to Completed that goes again to the same people that were selected to receive the communication. Is this possible?

I have a really interesting challenge but not sure it is resolvable within airtable. I work for a media agency and we created media schedules for our clients advertising campaigns across sites such as Facebook, Google etc. I have created a table for all the placements that I want to run in my clients campaign. A placement includes the specific budget that I might spend on a particular site within my campaign and the dates when this activity runs. My challenge is that I have ‘high level’ data about my campaigns that can’t be broken out for each individual placement. This includes details such as the creative development cost or total campaign fee. Is there anyway this can be represented next to the other more granular 'placement level 'data?

I have used an OLD version of FileMaker Pro to keep a record of sermon (titles/dates etc.) that was set up to populate fields (from the data entry table) that were set on top of a JPEG image. This was then saved as a PDF which was used by a disk producer to burn/print CDs & DVDs. Our old disk producer has died & new models use USB-C so our OLD Mac won’t work & FileMaker is way to dear to upgrade. Does Airtable allow me to do what I need to do?

I have Base called Master Data with a Companies table where the grid view is a source of a sync to another base called Project X. The fields in Master Data.Companies are automatically updated whereas Project X is manually updated as the project progresses and includes several additional fields. Project X contains 1 field called “LaunchDate” that I want to push back to Master Data.Companies. The problem is that Master Data.Companies wasn’t created as a Synced table - so it looks like in order to share the “LaunchDate” field I’m going to have to create a brand new table in Master Data and then perform a lookup into my Companies table. Is that correct? Is there really no way I could just convert my existing Master Data.Companies table into a Synced Table with only 1 synced field? I really want to avoid clutterin

Hi. I just discovered Airtable today and I’m excited to get started. I’m using the first column for each day of the year. How can I add several months at a time quickly? In Excel, I would just drag the last filled in cell down the column. TIA

I work for an agency where we have several project managers, each assigned to a various number of projects. Each project has an estimate for how many hours per day the PM spends attending to it. My End Goal is to be able to set a PMs max number of hours per week at 40, and be able to see the sum of how many hours per week they spend on their speicific projects, so I can divide that actual total by 40 and see a % output of their capacity / bandwidth. I Currently have a base setup that tracks each project, and on those projects records the PM is assigned and the project has an hour per day bandwidth value. I’ve created a separate Base as the place to list our company PMs (to aggregate the data) and have synced my projects over to that Base to be able to use the project specific data. How can I summarize the hours values per PM, bring that summarized value into the PMs record in my company base, and then run a formula to divide the two and give me the % outp

I’m trying to create a site using Google Sites and embed a grid view, but I would like to add records to that grid view, but I can only see the records already created. I was only able to add records through a form view.

I have clients grouped as you can see(company name). What I want to get is NOT the count as you see at the end of each client’s name, but rather just the count of the number of clients. Does that make sense? How might I do this? The reason is, I need a count per week of the number of clients, and not just the number of “classes” they’ve received.

Hello! I have multiple bases that need to remain separate and one primary base where I need to track the average of a ranking between the other bases. Is there a way to reference a specific value in each of these other bases and display the average? I’ve only been seeing posts and videos about how to calculate an average from different tables within the same base. Also is there a way to make this a weighted average? Will I need to sync/copy these separate bases into the primary base to then calculate the average of the field? Thanks in advance!
