Is there any way to set up any sort of vertical stacking within a kanban view? e.g. to categorize Project Status columns by Users or by Sub-status? I’ve seen this set up in other project management software and it would be incredibly helpful for workflows if I could set this up for my team.

I have an inventory base that I am creating with multiple tables for a hotel. Tables are as follows: Inventory Table with linked fields for “Measurement” Table & “Department” Table. We would like to limit record selection in the Measurement linked record field based on which Department has been selected in its linked record field. For example: Maintenance department has the ability to select Feet, Inches, Pound, ect. as a selection of measurement when adding a new item to their inventory While Food & Beverage department would only see Gallons, ounces, pounds, ect. Limiting record selection by a view solves the problem if I only had one department but in our case we have 9 departments to plan for. I would greatly appreciate anyones suggestion on how to handle this situation.

Hello everybody, I was wondering if anybody knew how to build a wordcloud based on long text responses to a survey that appear in Grid View? I have various Views from a growing dataset and code the responses under a “Multiple Select” field to generate a Chart in my dashboard. However, it would be great to have a wordcloud generated within a dashboard from another long text field as the data is too broad to code into clean categories? I saw a conversation here from 18 months ago and wondered if there was any newer ways of doing so? Thank you in advance!

We are using AT to track student information across the multiple courses we offer. Each course or set of courses(up to 6) has a different facilitator. We simply want the facilitator to see all the students enrolled in their courses or courses and then input one piece of information in a field from a dropdown: complete, incomplete, NA. It seems Forms would be overkill for this and we would have to prefill too many other fields. What might be a better solution? We don’t want to give them edit rights for their view unless we can lock the other fields like the student names, email, etc. Thank you for any help!

Hi All! So here is what I’d like to do. I have a base with four tables. All look precisely the same in terms of fields (types and names). For your understanding, the first three tables are lists with data about particular individuals. And the last table includes all individuals. My goal is to create a field on the fourth table that will let me know by the person’s “Name” (which is the first field) in which table he/she is located. But, some of the records repeat themselves in different tables, so I’d also like to know if the record is in “table1” and “table 2”. Thanks In Advance, -Bar.

I am publishing some table on our public facing website. I am using Share View to grab the embed code for the website. Testing some url links (found in our table) from our website, specifically for twitter and IG, I have discovered the links don’t resolve properly. Here is a screenshot after clicking on a twitter link. IG has a similar error response. Any idea how I can work aroud this? When I use the website links from my mobile (iphone) the twitter and IG links work fine. I’m only seeing this issue when using our public website from a desktop. Thank in advance.

Hi AT community! Is there a way to extract a persons name from an email address? I have a form that requestors fill in that automatically creates a record. In the form it asks for an email address, and there’s another column for their name. If column A has the email address they entered, I’d like column B to hold their name. Also, all company emails follow a pattern of: fname.lname@domain.com How can I add “fname lname” into column B? I just need what’s before the dot, and after the dot with a space in between.

Hey there- Need a bit of help with a complicated formula. I’d like to create a formula that tells me how much to bill any customer on any given month. A customer’s bill is determined by how many square feet their space covers. Billing begins when we deploy our product in their space, which can happen at any point in the month. I’ve created formulas for the following: -Billing start date {Billing Start Date}- This is based on the date our product goes live -Number of billable days in the month when billing began {First Month Billable Days} I have created fields for January-December. I’d like the prorated monthly amount to show up in the appropriate month field (correlates to the {Billing Start Date}, and for any monthly field following that to show the regular monthly fee. For a customer whose space was deployed on 10/12/21, I’m envisioning an output that looks like this: August: (blank) September: (blank) October: $400 November: $10

Hello, I have a website built with ReactJs, Gatsby & deployed to Netlify. Hosting at rebel.ca. I am sending a very simple data to my Airtable form. Everything works perfectly in development, Netlify builds without any issue, link from Netlify work perfectly. However once I deploy to my domain hosted at rebel.ca, I am getting an error that API key is missing for Airtable (but for example not for Prismic which I am using as well). I have set up several “Single Select” field types, but editors still keep bypassing this by manually typing in data, many with typos and spelling errors, and its driving me crazy! Is there a way to force them to select one of the options I made available (like excel does) ? Thanks

I would like to lookup entries from another table. But ONLY if they have a certain value in a special field. Is this possible? Example: Table 1: Matchdays Table 2: Players In Table 2 players can either be “available” or “not available”. In Table 1 I want to ONLY list the names of the players that are available. when can I use interfaces features in mobile app?

Hi everyone, I am new to airtable and trying to create a view that will give me a ‘count’ of how many times a client attended a session in the month. I have linked the ‘client’ table and select all the clients that attended for each session. As can be seen, I have also added an ‘attendance months’ field so I can group by month. I am having trouble trying to structure one of the tables to provide the count for each client for the given month. Any help is appreciated, thanks.

Hi! I work at an Ad Agency and we use Airtable as a project management tool between all of our clients and creators. We specifically track each concept we are working on in a single row. We charge clients against a monthly hourly allotment of 30 hours per month. We are looking for an easier/ better way to track monthly hours per project per client. Some projects hop month to month and a designer may spend 5 hours in January and 6 hours in February. We need a way to track these hours in each month for each concept. Currently, we have 12 columns, one for each month of the year, for the designer to put the hours used per month per project. Some projects only last 1-3 months so it is kind of redundant to have so many collums. Ideally, I want one column that can allow a designer to input their total hours per month as needed vs 12 different collums

Hi everyone, Basically, I’m putting together online forms for staff uniform orders for my organisation, a heritage organisation which manages over 80 visitor sites across the country. We have two broad categories of uniform sites – Formal and Casual. Formal is shirts, smart trousers, waistcoats etc — Casual is polo shirts, cargo trousers etc. What I’m looking to achieve is to have a form where staff can click on their site and the form automatically reveals the options relevant to them — so those who click “Site A” (which is a Formal site) see the options for shirt and waistcoat sizes, whereas those who click “Site B” will see options for polo shirts, but not for shirts or waistcoats. I have a Sites table that contains all of our sites which staff can select from. It includes addresses, management and whether the sites are designated as casual/formal. I saw another question here about this, but it had no answer. I have multiple choice questions in typeform, and when I try to map them to multiple select, I see the fields listed but they’re grayed out. It only happens sometimes and I can’t figure out why it doesn’t work all the time. The answers I’ve added in airtable match typeform exactly. This is a huge blocker for me!
