Hi – We’re testing out the new matrix block as a way to view a hiring pipeline, with one row per open position, one column for each stage in the recruiting process (phone screen, in person interview, etc), and candidates showing up as cards. The idea seems to work nicely, except that you can only see a few cards in each matrix “cell” because the matrix rows aren’t large/high enough. Unlike regular AirTable views, there doesn’t seem to be an option to make the row height larger or smaller. Has anyone figured out how to do this? Thx, Ramon

I have a table where I need to capture data from a page that has a grid of multiple items. I need to capture the image, title, and URL of each item on that page into airtable. Screenshot: https ://share.getcloudapp.com/5zuyjdpo I’ve set up a base and configured web clipper which targets and fetches the required data using CSS selectors. But the issue is it only fetch the data of the first item only. How to make it fetch all the entries to the airtable? Any hints? TIA, Munir

So we have a member of staff leaving and we need to transfer their bases to me - normally this is nice and easy and the tab has creator, read only, owner etc but the owner button is missing and it says to use the workspace sharing diaglog (I was in the workspace sharing diaglog space at the time) any one any ideas?

Hello~~ Airtablers! I added the URL to the Google Calendar using “Sync to an external calendar” in Airtable’s calendar view. However, the timezone used in Airtable’s Calendar view and Google Calendar’s timezone are different. The timezone I want is the timezone used in Airtable’s Calendar view: (GMT+09:00) Korean Standard Time - Seoul). In Google Calendar, “(GMT+00:00) Coordinated Universal Time” timezone is used, and I cannot change these settings. (see picture below) How to match the timezone of Google Calendar with the timezone of Airtable can i do it?

Dear airtable community, currently I’m using the “QR Code Maker” app in Airtable, which works great for me at this point. Now I want to take the next step and fully automate my process, by letting the app generate a qr code, without me manually having to confirm that procedure. As soon as a certain field is filled the qr code should be added to the chosen line. Since I couldn’t find this option straight in the app, I had a look into the automation category and noticed the custom script option. As far as I can assess this, I think that this is the best option. If there is another great solution to tackle my automated QR code creation, please be so kind and let me know, any help is highly appreciated! Thanks in advance guys, take care and stay safe! I want to use a different view when I manually create a new linked record from another table. Currently, when adding a linked record, the first view is always used. Is there any way I can change that?

I’m struggling and have spent hours trying to sort out the best way to track invites, responses, and follow up tasks when I am only inviting a small number of people on my client list. I’ve tried several different ways, but can’t sort out how to do this for only a portion of the list being invited to different events. For example: Alumni event in October (only specific alumni invited) - invites, responses, task follow up Women’s event in November (20% of women invited) Breakfasts in July (mix of people invited) I have a table for: All Contacts Events Attendees I’m stuck on figuring out how to tie an invite to a specific event while linking to the contact name. I’d like to track the individuals invited to each event, along with their response, and a list of follow up items. Then, I’d like to see ALL of the events each individual has been invited to, attended, along with the last dates of contact. I’m really stuck. Appreciate

Hello all! This is the first time I have posted in the ask the community. I am hoping someone can help me with my task! I am very new to Air Table, and I am slowly getting my base set up. I run a Girl Scout troop, and one thing that I am hoping to track better is attendance. I have three groups of girls. Daisies, Brownies, and Juniors. They all meet on the same day, but work on a different badge that is geared towards their age level. I want to be able to have a table where the meetings are listed by the date they are scheduled, and the badge that the specific group is working on is noted. I also want to be able to mark if each girl is in attendance, and have it “track” that she earned/worked on that specific badge. Am I asking too much of this system? Is this possible?

I have a table called “Junctions” and what I want is that whenever there is a change happen in my table (say adding/updating/deleting a value) then I want to call my custom script which I have written in “Apps” to perform some operation related to those changes. Is there any trigger which I can call to run my apps script whenever there is a change in a particular table?

When you use an iframe to host an AirTabe form and someone clicks on a document upload button, the upload popup doesn’t open within view of where the customer has clicked on the form, it appears in the centre of the form, meaning that if you have a long form - the user / customer cannot see that the popup has appeared, you have to scroll up or down to where the middle of the form would be so you can actually see the popup and upload items. Example, here you can see where I have clicked the button and where the document upload popup appears (this one is not too bad as the form isn’t too long and at least you can see the bottom of it) Is there a way for this popup to appear where you actually pressed the button :frowning:

So I’m helping my dad and his small company to digitize their data. The database (“base”) I have created is a relational database consisting of 7 tables. What I’m looking to create are clean and simple views where my dad and his two colleagues can view, add, change and delete records in each table. They should not be able to mess around with the configuration of the database itself, I’ll do that part. I can’t figure out how to do this in Airtable: Should my dad and his colleagues have their own Airtable accounts? If so, what role should they have? Since you can’t add new records through forms, how are they supposed to add new records? Through a gallery view? Through a 3rd party form? Can I hide the database (grid view) from my dad and his colleagues? It will probably just confuse them. Should I embed the needed view

I have a field which is populated by the body of an email. I use zapier to forward any emails sent to a dedicated “to Do” email address to airtable. The issues is that the field shows up with what I think are html tags, such as " <meta http-equiv=“Content-Type” content=“t…” How can I get just the text from the body?

I am having difficulties getting GeoJSON data from a table to generate a Vega-Lite graphic. My table has one formula field called MapGeo which generates the GeoJSON “Feature” (ie the shape), one Feature per record. The “data” property is set as follows. Vega Lite plots the title, nothing else, just blank. No errors shown. "data":{"values":{"field":"MapGeo","type":"json"}} I performed a test to see if the data from the table is valid. I copy-pasted the features from each record and set to static data (not from the table). That worked! We’re trying to build a searchable table for our school that allows students to view their courses and their associated labs, and information associated with it. Linking a Courses table with a Labs table is fairly simple but my question is: When sharing the view (of the Courses Table) is there a way to have the linked Labs table viewable when the course table is shared/searched? So student has access to the Courses table, and they can view the associated labs, but is there a way from this view, for them to be able to access (maybe opens a new tab?) the Labs table? So they can view more detailed information about the labs? Or do i have to have two separate shared views and they have to navigate between them? listing all the details in one table will be too cluttered considering the amount of information we need to share, (skills, work roles, labs, etc) Thank you for the assistance! -Sean

I have created a gallery view which I would like to share with my collegues. They should only be able to view, add and delete records (not configure the view or anything like that). How do I accomplish that?

Hi all, Hoping to get some advice on something I just cant figure out a workaround for. Have a series of Single Select Columns I had from an Excel spreadsheet for a variety of different HABITATS. They were originally a YES/NO option for each e.g. every single record had a YES or NO for ARCTIC. I entered these as their own column “ARCTIC”, have converted the YES to the ARCTIC title and deleted the NO, and repeated for all the other habitats. So for each column, they are either filled with the option “ARCTIC” or blank. Likewise for each other column “DESERT” or blank. “MOUNTAINS” or blank. I want these combined into one, single, Multiple Select Column called “HABITATS”; where a record can return the habitat “ARCTIC” and/or “MOUNTAINS” and/or “DE

Hello. I am trying to sync Airtable with Google Calendar. In the form of “Add” the URL of Airtable’s “Calendar view” to Google Calendar. However, there was one minor problem. Airtable’s “Date” field now selects Date format and Time format, no more options. However, it would be better if there is a “predefined” time slot for Time when actually entering Airtable’s Date. (For example, 10:00/14:00/19:00 or 10:00-13:00/14:00-17:00/19:00-22:00) Creating a “predefined” time slot like this is " Single Select Field", but this field cannot be used in Calendar View. O

I want to update my Airtable fields using Excel VBA. Thus, I went through the Airtable API documentation. But there is no way I could figure out to use PATCH method inside the VBA. Is there any resource available on the internet to achieve the result? NB. I don’t want to use any third party apps as I need to update the whole sheet twice a day and there are more than 10k fields.

Hi, I have two linked record columns. Our users use a custom app to link records to these columns.,I don’t want the users to link records directly from the columns but instead use the app. since we cannot restrict permissions to a column, is there a way to open the app when someone makes changes to a column? I am thinking an Automation when the record is updated and open the app from Autmation? Thanks in advance

I have a “Requirements” table with the following fields: ID Description (rich text) Question (rich text) I want to render all of the records as a single document so I can email it. Example (with Markdown formatting): # Outstanding questions ## {id 1} {description 1} ### Question {question 1} ## {id 2} {description 2} ### Question {question 2} ... My current attempt: Write a script and use output.markdown(...) to render everything. The issues: record.getCellValue('Description') returns a string, but that string isn’t suitable for passing to output.markdown(...). For example, if there is a “[” in the string, it’s interpreted as a link. Is there a way to render rich text values properly?

We noticed the Airtable API doesn’t return the same data as it used to be when returning an Attachment record. This is what my base contains: There is a width column set to 200.00 for the record efrei-v4-logo-efrei-advisor489. This is the record I get from the Airtable REST API: { id: 'attStvRqkaEsbPNBT', width: 500, height: 500, url: null, // Hidden filename: 'XXX (3).png', size: 42687, type: 'image/png', thumbnails: null // Abbregated for clarity } Before, this API was not returning the width and height properties (at least, it wasn’t returning those with our way of building our query). This seems to be something new, which in turn broke our products because it overrode our own width and height

Hi, I have two tables from a csv file. Programs and Partners. I have an Program_ID field in the programs table that is not an autonumber field and that links to a field in the partners table also called Program_ID. I then created a new autonumber field in the programs table so I can add new records later. But now I need to update the foreign key in the partners table with the new program id autonumber field in the program table. I tried this with automation but i keep getting test failed and I know I am doing something wrong. I don’t want a linked field because I just want to get rid of the old program ID fields when the new autonumber id is updated in the partners table. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Marc

We could have more than two records with the same name. But Is it possible to prevent the record with the same name from appearing? I hope it will pop up a window to warn me when a same name record is created.
