Hi, In the base I am working with we have entries representing individual sessions that are held in different timezones. I understand that the sync between Airtable and Google calendar sends over the times in GMT, so I am looking for a way to use a formula to convert the time of the session (for ex: 9:00 SGT) into GMT without having to manually convert it every time we make a new entry. So, when someone from my team adds in a new session they can add it in as the time it is actually held, ex: 9:00 - 11:00 CEST, and it will convert with the formula in the date + time column to GMT. Can someone please help me with this? The main timezones we use are PST, EST/EDT, CET/CEST, SGT, but we use other timezones as well. Thank you!

Hi there, I’m using the add lookup fields function by selecting multiple fields to add to new table (see picture 1) In the new table, the colums are named with the text … (from “lookup view”) automatically behind the column name. (see picture 2) Is it possible to not show that text? So only the colomn name is shown, as in the lookup view. I use the function a lot, but it is very time consuming to manually delete it. Would love to hear, thanks.

The URL to attachment script has stopped working for me completely. It seemingly add files from URLs at first, but then, a few seconds later, deletes all attachments. This alarmingly also happens when I use automations to add attachments from URLs Both of these methods have worked perfectly fine all other times I’ve needed it.

Hi all, I am on the pro plan and have a table which has some record restrictions, in my particular case, everybody can create records but only a few users can delete them. I need to share this with other people, and would like them to be able to edit the table, but I don’t expect them to be on a pro plan, nor do I want to pay for that. If I add them to the base as collaborators, would they have these restrictions? Note that the tables are less than 1,200 in size, so they should’nt be restricted by that on their free plans.

Is there a reason way the long text field height is defaulting to 78px instead of auto??? This makes the kanban card HUGE. I don’t understand why this can’t be fixed:

I have 25-40 Base’s to build and I need them connected to a ‘master’ base. Internally, our engineers create a table that is a “key”. This key is used both as a Master of unique records and a key for joining all tables. e.g. House# |Issue# | Invoice #…when a new house# is added as a record in the Master table, it would proliferate to all of the other Base’s since House# is a major node for us.

Hello! I am trying to figure out how to apply a unique ID when entering a form so you can see where it was clicked from. I have a store where each row in Airtable posts a new object for sale. I want the ‘purchase item’ button to lead to a form where they can fill in all their information but I can’t figure out how to assign some sort of unique ID so that I can correlate the item they want to buy to the information they put into the form. Is anything like this achievable or is there any advice? Thanks so much for anything and everything!

Hello community! I have streetdance school and this year im doing database with airtable (amazing next to the numbers :slightly_smiling_face: ). Id like to put price for each member of my school. I have collumn with multiple selection (for ex.: streetdance, breakdance, contemporary) and for each course is different payment. Is possilbe to put pricetag for every selection and if i choose any of styles there would be amount of payment. if streetdance would be $40, breaking $50, contemporary $60 member 1 choose streetdance > automaticaly 50 member 2 choose streetdance + breaking > automaticaly 90 member 3 choose streetdance + contemporary > automaticaly 100 is that possible? Hey there! Quick question regarding SSO and MFA both being implemented. Airtable docs mention MFA as best practice if using a password-based authentication method. However, if we implement SSO through Azure AD, is MFA achievable? Or would we have to go another route through an authenticator app such as Duo? Thanks!

Hi all! We are using Airtable as a research database and want to make some of our work public through Our main base for entry has a series of 5 tables that are all interconnected (we take advantage of the ability to have relational tables within bases). For example, in table 1, our records link to records in tables 2, 3, and 4. Some of the information in our main base has sensitive information (like researcher identifying information) which we do not want to make public. Is there a way to create a synced version of the base that maintains the relations between the tables (e.g. “link to record from other table fields”) while allowing us to limit the fields that are shown on the public version? We want to make research public as we continue to update the main base, so just duplicating the base and removing fields isn’t an option (need some sort of sync with the main base that is being updated). Hello. I’m building a table for answering a questionnaire. A person can answer many questions and each answer get a new record. I would like to add a function that counts the number of questionnaire that has been sent in. So I need to find a function that’s not summing the answers (many answers in one questionnaire), but rather count the number of people that has taken the questionnaire. Is that possible?

I am evaluating productivity of another team in AirTable. The team in question enters their projects and tasks into AirTable, however many Task start dates were not entered by users. Is it possible to export the date each task was entered to AirTable in a fairly simple way, or is it impossible to collect that data retroactively without already having an API set up? Thanks.

I am trying to make a quote builder in an “opportunity table” The way I do it is I mark a company/contact (in their respective tables) as “in progress” and a record gets created in another table (called Opportunities). in there I link to a products table and delivery table (the products are ad spaces, the delivery are the publications/issues) and then I add lookup fields and counting fields to make one quote. I have made 4 copies of this to be able to put together multiple offers for the client to chose from. After filling out fields, I would like to be able to click a button for the quotes to aggregate to a pdf (or straight into the body of the e-mail) and sends it to the contact. I know there’s a solution similar to this for contracts that requires two other apps (zapier and helloSign) but I’m wondering if there’s a way of doing this without the extra apps.

Hey! I am struggling to search records in integromat. I have a table with field Status and Last Modified Status autofield. When I try to fetch data with integromat with formula everything is ok: ({Last Modified Status}) but when I add condition to the formula: ({Last Modified Status} <= "{{addDays(now; -30)}}") it fails with: The formula for filtering records is invalid: Unknown field names: last modified status I also tried this formula with the same error: IS_AFTER({Last Modified Status}, "{{addDays(now; -30)}}") Any ideas how to fix this error?

I’ve been spending all week looking at Airtable and trying out options. I’m very impressed and excited to use its features. I’m also impressed with this forum. Many knowledgeable people here. I am needing some help and I think those more experienced might be able to point me in the right direction. I don’t mind putting in the hard work and learning it, but this is so robust I don’t know how best to start. To give some context, I design t-shirts. I currently have about 500 live designs between three different POD’s (Print-on-Demand) companies. I plan to start scaling up to around 2000 (or more) designs this year and I foresee Airtable really helping me stay organized. I only need to worry about design and uploading the artwork. They handle all the printing, ordering, shipping, etc. That means I can create one art file and use that same file for several different t-shirt printing platforms. After accidentally deleting a field, we can restore it via undelete or snapshot. HOWEVER, the deleted field was referenced by a ‘last modified date’ field. When the deleted field is restored from Trash, the last modified date is set to the current date/time for all records. I understand this is expected behavior. but I’m looking for a workaround. Using the snapshot, we can recover the original ‘last modified date’, but there are two remaining problems: We want to continue to use the original base as it has various integrations that we’d rather not rebuild; if we do an export from the restored snapshot and import into the original base, the last modified time will be off again. any records that were changed after the snapshot must be edited again after restoring from snapshot and will not have the accurate modified time stamp. Is there a way to keep the time stamps for the restored records on import? And is there a way to fix the time stamp for those recently updated records? Thanks.

Can airtable search for a number specific keyword from a “long text” column ie. search for all cat, dog, lion, horse and if any keyword from the target list is found then add found keyword to separate column. im looking for a way to search and identify keywords from large text then tag the record with the keywords found. is this possible if so how, thx

Hi! On a form I’m trying to create, I’m trying to ask users their first preferred date for a booking. However, I would need the date field to only allow users to select a date at least 3 business days out from the current date that the user is filling out/viewing the form. Is this a feature that is available, or is there a user friendly work around for this?
