I’m working in an Airtable that lists about 75 records for individual slides for use in around 25 presentations. Each slide is synced back to another base where I manage code names/version numbers etc… Each presentation will use 10-15 of the slides in different orders and quantities. In a perfect world, I’d like to be able to drag and drop slides in Kanban stacks and allow collaborators arrange them in the way that fits each presentation. As it is, I tried sorting the slides using this method, but each new list unsorts the previous list. When I tried creating new synced tables in the base, I quickly maxed out the limit of tables I could duplicate in the base (never mind the redundancy of many tables containing identical data). Ideally, it’d be great to go down the master grid and use a multi select dropdown to put “slide A” in list 1, 7, 8, 12, “slide B” in list 1, 4, 13, 20, “slide C” in 1,2,3,6,8…and so on. I have a retool app created that was working. It looked up all items based on submission number. Then you could assign a value to each one and save it and it would push those values back to Airtable. Now I am getting this error: {“status”:400,“message”:"",“error”:{“type”:“INVALID_RECORDS”,“message”:“You must provide an array of up to 10 record objects, each with an “id” ID field and a “fields” object for cell values.”}} Any suggestions? Hi there. I tried searching the forum, but couldnt find relevant solution to this: I am trying to upload a CSV file to the current airtable table. I need the uploaded file to ovveride anything in the table except of the field types. How do we do it?

I’m using Running total script, it’s works fine within the same table. But when I enter another table in first line, stop working! I use the form view as it is the easiest. If I was to add a field midway through then that new field appears in the grid view at the very end. Therefore the fields in grid view and form view do not match (in order). Is there a fix to this?

Currently, I’ve got two bases, one that is a master sheet where invoices are entered for multiple projects along with a base setup for each project to track other more detailed records. I’ve got the master base synced to the sub-base for each job along with a filtered view that only shows invoices for the specific project. Inside the individual project base, I’ve got the field “Cost Code” on both the Bid & Synced Table, however I’m not able to rollup the data from the synced table without creating a lookup that has to be manually entered. I tried finding a workaround in finding some kind of script to set the lookup field value based on a text string but really can’t find any documentation on it.

I have synced our main Inventory base (shared by all staff) to our Billing base (limited access to staff). I’d like to be able to create a lookup field within Inventory that shows attachments I added in Billing. Alternatively, if I could just restrict user permissions/hide a table in the Inventory base, I wouldn’t need to sync between two bases and could merge into one. Is there a way to do either of these? I have a problem with a synchronization: Base1: Table A: different invoices Table B: summary of invoices by invoice date (via “link to another record”) Base2: Table C: Share view of table B (synchronized). I am concerned with the invoice amounts: Via link to table A, table B shows different invoice amounts from different invoices for a given day (ex: on 1/1/2020 we have invoices, for 100, 200 and 500$; so in total 800$). Now I would like to calculate this sum in table C via a rollup field. The problem: Due to the synchronization, the invoice amounts are displayed as text and I cannot offset them against each other. Does anyone have a solution? Can I make presettings so that the formatting of the fields is retained during a synchronization? Thanks in advance!

Hello everyone, I’m fairly new to Airtable, and I’m unsure how to accomplish the query(ies) I’m performing in a simpler manner using Airtable commands. The Base I have an API with two tables: Classes and Students. The Classes table consists of classes and all the students enrolled in each class. The Students table consists of students and all the classes each student is enrolled in. The Task A user searches for a specific student on the front end. Using Airtable formulae, I need to query the Students table for the classes that student is taking. (NOTE: I need to return the class names, not the record IDs/codes for those classes, which are unintelligible for the user.) Using those class names, I then need to ask the Classes table for the students associated with each class, again returning the students’ actual names, not their record IDs/codes. MY SITUATION I have a base containing several tables: ‘Translations’: Using DeepL API this 10 row table converts the record contents under 3 distinct fields ‘header’, ‘subheader’ & ‘cta’ into 10 languages ‘Banner Orientation 1’: Has fields ‘lang’, ‘target-header’, ‘target-subheader’ & ‘cta’ etc) & 1000 rows Table ‘Banner Orientation 1’ has: 100 rows where the field ‘lang’ records hold the 2-letter code for the 1st language 100 rows where the field ‘lang’ records hold the 2-letter code for the 2nd language etc… THE PROBLEM All 100 rows for the 1st language contain the same record value for each of the 3 fields mentioned above (and the other 9 sets of 100 rows each share the same 3 translated phrases). So… table ‘Translations’ only has to do 3x10=30 translations ONE TIME. The alternative to these 30 API calls? If I translate each row record separately I get 3

I’d like to set up logic/automation so that when we win a deal and moved it into “won” category in our pipeline - that a new record is generated in our production table so that we can start planning for the project. Any ideas on how to do this?

My company, which has an enterprise plan, has a base, and tables for individual departments. Every day, my department will add one hundred records with attachments. When unfiltered, the table is very populated. The mobile app takes forever to load the table (view filtered to each day) and crashes every time a record is added or was updated. Could an admin repair the issue?

I have a rough idea of how it would work but do not know how to use the views and data to make this happen in a way that would benefit my operation. Hi, We are a non-profit that provides support to tenants facing eviction. We recently moved our hotline intake and database to airtable. We have created the base, and volunteers fill out an intake form when a tenant calls us facing eviction. Since we switched over this week, none of our form submissions are creating new records. We have tested the form link (both incognito and not incognito on Firefox and Safari) and records are created. However, hotline volunteers’ form submissions aren’t coming through (across 5 different volunteers). We’re also looking at the full spreadsheet and are not hiding any fields or doing any sorting. We’re worried that this might be due to the time a volunteer opens a form and when they submit. Usually, callers will speak with us for 20-30 minutes. We are diligently filling out the form and collecting information while we listen to their crisis. So from the time someone opens the form and then completes it might range from 10 minute

I want to sync certain fields in tables in the same base instead of setting up linked records. It would be much easier if this was possible. Does anyone know if it’s possible?

When I try to open Airtable on my iMac, running MacOS High Sierra 10.13.6, it opens as a completely blank window. No information is displayed, When I first installed it, it ran fine. I am using the latest version of Airtable for the Mac, 1.4.5. Any ideas why this might be happening? Airtable runs fine on my iPhone and Surface Pro. I am looking for a way to convert a table (ideally, automatable on field update) in this format: Project ID Impacted Team(s) 101 1, 2, 3 102 2 103 1, 3 to this format: Project ID Impacted Team 101 1 101 2 101 3 102 2 103 1 103 3 so that I can filter on multi-select fields (comma delimited values) in BI tools such as Tableau.
