According to us, it’s one application that fits everything. We as a group want to understand if there are any use cases on which we can build an app and place it on the airtable marketplace as a free open source app. All suggestions, ideas and use cases are welcome. Trying to move records to another record by cut and paste. I use command X. It says its cutting. I paste into a 2nd base but those records are still in the original base. Am I missing something? Why cant I cut records out of one base? TIA

Greetings, I would like to know if this is possible in Airtable. I am looking to have a form. In one of the blank fields, the user will be able to select a date from a (Selection Options). Once the form is submitted by the user, I would like to hide or delete the option the USER selected from the (Selection Options) for the next person who will use it. I would like to know if this is possible or where can I find more information about it? The purpose of this is for me to schedule a meeting with the user and the next user would not have access to the scheduled meeting the user before already did. Thanks in advance!

Hi guys, I’m looking for a way to build and implement a messaging app. This app should take the conversation log from a webpage and to allow the user to respond from Airtable, while sending his response back to the same webpage. Can anyone please guide me about the best way to execute this process? I thought of building a composer with React, but I didn’t got to the bottom of it. Hello Airtable community! I have been playing around with Airtable trying to send an automated slack message with either a list or a grid (grid preferred) where I can place different information from my table. This can be done when I am emailing, but for some reason on Airtable I receive a weird code. If there is no solution, is there at least a way where I can format my message to go out as a list? I’d like to have a zap that takes a new lead of ours and creates/updates them in a base we have for leads. Within this base, we have a multiple select column that indicates the source of the lead. As leads can enter our world in many ways, we are looking to capture all the ways they’ve interacted with us prior to arranging a sales call, or becoming a client. I have no issues creating a zap to do this, EXCEPT when it comes to the source field which is the multiple select. Is there a way to ADD to the list instead of having the field wiped of what is already there and only showing the source provided by the zap that just completed?

I have created a form under one tab, when I add another tab could I duplicate the form I created before under the first tab?

Hi! I’d love to see a formula App that allows you to combine Summary app numbers together. This would allow you to add mathematical formulas (primarily adding, subtracting, multiplying, or dividing) on various Summary Apps. An example of this would be: Summary App that displays “2021 Spring Quarter podcast downloads = 20,000 downloads” Summary App that displays “2021 Fall Quarter podcast downloads = 25,000 downloads” Formula App to combine spring and fall Summary apps together (which would equal “2021 total podcast downloads = 45,000”) Doing it this way would make it so you only would have to make 2 unique views (1 view for “2021 spring quarter” and 1 view for “2021 fall quarter”) instead of 3 unique views (1 view for “2021 spring quarter” and 1 view for “2021 fall quarter” and 1 view for “2021 totals”).

Hello Community, i have a “problem” about shared view with my clients that doesn’t have an Airtable account. They can open the view normally and see data, click buttons and so on without any problem. The issue occurs when they click the button that opens a form to upload new attachments: the problem concerns the update of new attachment in the shared view, they need to reload the view to see the new attachment while in my view this happens in real time without reloading. Anyone have a solution? Thank you, Alex

I would like to switch from Pro plan to Free plan for a few months while it will not be getting used. I currently have several thousand records, far more than the free plan will allow. When I switch back to Pro plan will all my records still be there?

I use airtable to track legal filing deadlines, and calendar view is great for seeing who on my team is responsible for what, and on what day. Sometimes there are things that I’d like to show on calendar that aren’t related to a specific project or filing, though. For example, if someone is going on vacation for a week, I’d like my calendar to be able to show that, even though there’s obviously no project associated with it. Is there some way to manually overlay unrelated calendar entries onto calendar view? Thanks!

I run a company that sends qualified leads to hardware distributors. Someone gets in touch with us via our site, and pass on their information to four distributors (out of several dozen, we pick the four best ones). Every week, we invoice each distributor for the number of leads we’ve sent them. So the records for a given week might look something like this What I want to be able to produce, is a view that shows how many leads each distributor had, and how much they owe. Hello, is there a way to not show the bar between the table name and the table itself - I call it “view bar” (red frame) for now. With “Shared base link” the bar displays. With “Shared view links” they don’t but also the option to filter / sort a column on the top row is disabled. What I need is the in between: the “view bar” hidden but with the opportunity to filter / sort on the top (header) row. Thanks for any advice

Hi, So I’m trying to have a single select field type of small mammal species of the world, that should have a list of more than 300 species to choose from; so when i select an option from this field A, i need a formula field B to be automatically filled out with the relevant ‘Genus name’ based on field A. I have tried using SWITCH, but I am allowed to enter a maximum of only 150 species. Is there a solution that would let me add 300+ options to the formula field, without having to create or link multiple tables?I have no experience in coding, so don’t know if this can be done using the scripting app? Hi all - Looking to create a formula where based on the Publish Date of a record, the previous Weekday will become the Due Date. The Publish Date also have a time associated, so not sure if that causes issues - but the Due Date field doesn’t need a time. Where I’m hitting a roadblock is making sure the Due Date is always a Weekday, so not requests are coming in as Saturday or Sunday requests. Thank you all in advance!

Hello everyone, I'm new to AirTable, about a week in. I originally became interested in AirTable due to an outdated process used by the company I work with. My concept was to use AirTable to be able to keep track of Critical Loops (Our businesses term for Freight Claims and problems with shipments) I’m trying to learn more about this program, I’ve already found tremendous use from it, but I had a question, being new to this program I’m still trying to learn the ins and outs as I’ve never used something like this before. Within our company we have 3 planners, (These are the individuals that are responsible for the vendors that ship up raw parts) I’m trying to find a way to link the 50+ vendors that each of these individuals have. For example when we file a Critical loop we input the supplier name. Is there a way to set it up that when a suppliers name is put into the record, that it automatically tags the planner that’s responsible for that ve

Hi all, I have developed a management tool where I have all the information about trainings, trainers, students and program managers. I have all the sessions of each program in a table so I can create a Calendar View to manage dates and times in one view. Recently I started to share with the students the “Sync to an external calendar” link to add the schedule of the sessions so if we change something in the schedule they are up to date automatically. Everything is working well. In the description of the event in the ICS format Airtable dumps the link to the record. I would like to remove that friction to students so they have all the information in that description field. Is there any way to personalize the information shared in the event description? I’m not very tech-friendly, so I’m not sure what the best way to go about this request would be - any advice is very much appreciated! I keep all of my orders in a table - each individual birthdate is imported with each order in its own column (DOB). I would like to find a solution to automatically update a separate column (ZODIAC) with the corresponding Zodiac sign depending on the day/month of birth. I can’t seem to make it an automation in Airtable with if/then parameters because I can’t select a date range without the Year included. Does this make sense? Any tips? Thanks in advance!

Is it possible to create permission groups for users? Right now my company has a pro plan workspace that has a few bases that we do not want to share with the broader team. What the means is every time we hire a new employee, we have to individually add them to multiple bases since we can’t invite them to the entire workspace. Creating multiple workspaces isn’t an option since paid plans only apply per workspace. Ideally, base access would be set at the team/group level and users could be added to those teams/groups. How do other people at companies with growing teams manage this?

Is that possible to create a view that put together data from 2 different table like join tables in a select?
