I think I already know the answer to this, but is it really the case that there is no way to access the search feature within a shared view that is available from a desktop, while using a mobile browser? On one hand I love Airtable but the deeper I get the more it seems that: 1 - it suffers from glaringly obvious faults that seem like they’d be easy to fix 2 - those faults just persist over the years in spite of users pointing them out, rather than gradually being addressed. This market is getting more and more crowded with Airtable competitors. The very last thing I want is to have to reinvent everything I’ve done on a brand new platform, but the more time goes by enduring little problems like this the more inevitable that starts to seem.

Hi all! I have information in one tab on the database which is called “B12 Recipe Claim”. This value is an IF statement, where if the B12 content (specified elsewhere in the database) is above a certain value its “ :white_check_mark: High B12” So now, I want to, in another tab, add a score for “ :white_check_mark: High B12” for a specific attribute (i.e. “calm”). I’ve set up these scores elsewhere in the database. So, the formula should now be: IF({B12 Recipe Claim}=“ :white_check_mark: High B12”,{Calm B12 Score Lookup}, 0). I’ve used this formula for similar functions elsewhere in the table and it works fine. However I’ve noticed this in the table: Basically, when the value is true, it doesn’t pull the fact that the value should be 0.2, it’s just blank or returns the other value (0). I am trying to use a order now form on a multiple listed items. But whenever that order now form is filled, the listed item doesn’t show up in the data base. It’s like someone filled the order form but I have no idea, which item was ordered.

Let’s suppose I have an Employee table and a Team table. In the Employee table, each row is an employee, and there is a field called “Role” that indicates their role (Engineer, Designer, Manager, etc.) In the Team table, each row is a team, and there is a field called “Members” of type “Link to Employee” that accepts multiple items. The Members field is where we put all the employees who are members of the team. I want to add a field to the Team table that contains the engineers on the team — an automatically filtered subset of the Members. And I’m stuck. I could use a Lookup field to filter the items in the Members field, specifying in the condition that the Role has to be “Engineer”. But Lookup does too much: I have to specify a field of the Employee. So I could get the names of all the engineers, for example. But I want the actual Employee records, just like they appear in the Members field. There doesn’t seem to be a way to specify that

I am attempting to build a workflow that updates the status of a project. When a new project is sent to the client, it’s done via a form that adds an entry to Airtable, updates the STATUS cell to “in progress”, and then uses Zapier to send an email to the client. I’m having difficulty finding an easy way for the client to update the project status to “complete” WITHOUT sending them to a dedicated Airtable form. I’m wondering if either of these two options are possible: Embedding the form into the email for easy access Preferred option would be an URL that is generated and included in the email, that when clicked, would update the status of the project. Any ideas?

Want to create a diagram displaying what our group is working on (similar to the pic uploaded). Or use the Integromat to link everything together. Specific info will be displayed here: Team UNO. Pretty much anybody that has access to that website can also have access to the info we will chose to display. As mentioned before I tried using the Integromat template named: Post new records from Airtable to social media. But having many issues linking them together. Anyway any help will be highly appreciated.

Hi, i need help - Typeform app from Airtable. I have installed the Typeform app and I want to import a few variables from the response. I have three variables and I want to display the results in three different number fields. I merged the variables with a certain number fields in the Typeform app on Airtable but only the results of one and the same variable are shown in all the fields, is it a bug? Is it even possible to import multiple variables from Typeform? Thanks

So I made a zap that will add to my Airtable when a row in Google Sheets is created. That was easy. However, I am a bit hung up on updating the Airtable record though. How do I get Zapier to update Airtable from Google Sheets? Zapier wants a specific record, but I don’t know which record will need to be updated? How do I get Zapier to watch the entire table and update the field that was changed?

Hi, The issue described in That Bug: Error Fetching URL Meta Data still exists. I encountered it earlier this week, and now. When uploading the file using a URL via the API (via integromat), the document doesn’t end up in airtable When uploading the file using the airtable app, the following error is thrown: Earlier this week this issue resolved spontaneously. Today I experience this issue again, and I’m waiting for it to disappear again… Is there any hope for this issue to get resolved?

I’m trying to have a central calendar of sorts fed from a few different sources, and while I’ve used sync to great effect to make that calendar, my one hangup is in entering new events/dates into that calendar. To illustrate, let’s say I have an “Events” calendar and a few other misc calendars. For example a “Holiday” calendar. They are all synced into a “Master” calendar. What I would ultimately like to be able to do is add a new event while referencing the “Master” view. Say, for example, I am looking to schedule an event but want to make sure it isn’t going to fall on a holiday. I’d ideally like to be able to schedule right on the “Master” calendar. But it seems like that isn’t possible, and instead what I would have to do is go back to the “Events” calendar and add the event after referencing the “Master” calendar. Am I missing anything?

I would like to make it so members filling in a form can select their name or their organization’s name from a list in the database using “+add”. But I only want them to see an alphabetical list of member names and not information in any of the other columns. So I created a “member name only alphabetical” view in the database. Then on the form, I selected ‘limit record selection to a view’ and chose “member name only alphabetical”. But all the hidden fields are still showing up. I only wanted the alphabetical names to show. What am I doing wrong?

Hello, We received a “Maximum Credits Exceeded” error on a SendGrid app block and after upgrading SendGrid we are still receiving this error. We have tried: refreshing app blocks creating a new API creating a new block with new API duplicating base to start fresh again Nothing seems to work, it’s as though Airtable won’t recognize that we upgraded our account. We were able to do upgrade our SendGrid account without an issue last year when we had an increase in messages to send via Airtable. A support request has also been made. In the meanwhile, any other ideas to try, please share!

Hey community! So i want to add recurrent tasks for every record, the tasks are the same for every record. I tried doing a separate table named tasks with a subtask column and i link it to my primary table. THE PROBLEM is that when lets say record one fill his tasks, the tasks keep filled for ALL the records, i want to fill them individually for each record. Any suggestions?

So having built a base to the point where I would like people to see it, I went to create a “shared base link”. From what I’ve read this also the kind of link you might include in a website. It’s marked as a “Private read-only link”. Well it’s not that private from what I can see on the preview, because on 2 views that I’ve created (one Gallery, one Grid) it seems to happily offer to tell who created those views - my name and my email address appear when I hover over the view. There surely MUST be some setting to fix this, otherwise sharing Airtable material on a general website is not viable. The alternative is that I’m creating the wrong kind of link, but I don’t think so.

Is it possible to display all the data in the card view? Right now it will only display a maximum of three fields. Also, can you permanently hide fields in the gallery view, even when expanded? I need some data to display in the expanded view (but not all of it such as record ID) as opposed to the preview.

Hey all, I’m struggling to create a view… For context… the table in the screenshot below is an integration that copies every email from my gmail account into AT. I’ve grouped this particular view by “subject line” for the purpose of “batching together” subject lines that have been sent twice or more. My Q is - how do I create a filter that ONLY shows the groups that have 2 or more of the same within them? In other words, how can I create a filter that shows only the emails (subject lines) that have been sent two times or more? Thanks! Christopher

I tagged this as kanban view, but what I’m referring to is a fully expanded record accessed via kanban view. For example, when I expand a record, I see a list of 40-50 fields and I only need to see 20 of them. Having to scroll through a bunch of fields that are not relevant to me is a great inconvenience and makes it more difficult to locate the fields I actually need to see. I’d like to be able to hide or remove fields that I do not need to see, but without impacting or affecting anything else in the system or any other users who share the same system. I am not an admin user so I don’t have any special permissions. I’m hoping this is something that I can do within my personal view.

I am about to ask the impossible. I am looking to sync from Google Sheets to Airtable. I have a free Airtable plan. I am not looking to upgrade. I cannot use apps, I have a free plan. I am not part of some large company. I am an individual person, trying to share my hobby stuff using Airtable. I am looking for free solutions. I tried using IFTTT (I have a Pro account), but the Airtable record creation will not work for some reason. I looked up Coupler.io, but you cannot sync from Google Sheets to Airtable (at least on a free plan). I could only select Google Sheets or Excel to sync to. I am looking for a formula that can be used to determine the time worked. I have a table that is a “Check In / Out” which includes two fields in of Check in and Check out. Is there a formula that can be set in another field that will give the total time? Bonus, is there a way to add ALL of the times from that table?

It seems that I can only click out of the field to close it - hitting return/enter just adds a new line, and non of the cmd/ctrl/alt-enter keys work for this

Hello everybody! I’m creating a database to track all cash activities (inputs and outputs) from a cash box at the office. I’d like to have a column where we keep track of the total remaining balance after each transaction, whether it was an input or output, on the same base. A formula that I’d like to replicate is Remaining Balance = Previous Balance - Debit + Credit. How would you do that in Airtable? Here’s a look at the base in question: Airtable - Grid view. Thanks!

Hello community, I’m creating a video edit delivery schedule based on a start date. I was able to create everything with this formula WORKDAY({Start Edit},7) , the “start edit” day was the known and we added 7 days to when we needed to have RC1 due. Then the next formula was WORKDAY({RC1 Due},2)) and so on for 2 rounds of reviews and notes. NOW, I’m trying to predict lateness. I read that an override column should be made and if client doesn’t hit the RC1 due date I would then have a cell that is titled OVERRIDE RC1 Received to make changes. The formula I used was IF({OVERRIDE RC1 Received},{OVERRIDE RC1 Received},WORKDAY({RC1 Due},2)) The formula, unfortunately, won’t add the right amount of days to the new override date. Hopefully my explanation makes sense and someone can explain what I’m doing wrong to create a post timeline based on rounds of revisions.
