Hi, is there a way to add a customized sort to a view? I have 2 fields, start date & end date. Id like to sort by start date if the current date is <= start date, otherwise end date should be used. Is this possible with Airtable? Thanks.

Airtable team, I’m a novice user and have benefitted GREATLY from Airtable. I am currently the only Airtable user in the company and I use it for planning tasks for production in a manufacturing facility. Nobody else sees this calendar, yet. I have reached a point that I need to be able to put the Airtable Calendar View up on display on our factory floor on a 50" 4K monitor, for the rest of the team to view. Especially for when I’m on vacation or otherwise not at the facility. However, it’s imperative that this is a “View/Search Only” access. I don’t want anyone accidentally moving anything, or having access to AirTable using my login credentials. I definitely want them to be able to scroll through the upcoming weeks, and perform searches for various criteria. I just need to be sure that there cannot be any edits made to any of the calendar entries, and no new entries added. How can I do this?

Since 3 weeks we try to connect to typeform tools & the platform is very slow or even not accessible at all. Anybody knows sth about this? Thanks

If I remember correctly, there’s Chart Apps that show something like heat map instead of regular x y charts. I think I saw it in Github? But can’t find it anymore. Does anyone remember / know? Thanks Daniel

Good morning everyone, I have a question for managing multiple projects. if I set up my space by dividing the tabs by: Projects-Task-Managers-and counting hours, when a project ends, can I “freeze” it and not view it anymore? working with many projects that last one or two months I need to keep track of all my projects but I don’t want to delete the records every time a project ends. I just want to “freeze it”. Thanks in advance for your answers

I have a lookup field giving me three different states: “act”, “belong” and “commit” How can I count how many times “act” is in this lookup field? If I use COUNTALL, I just get the total sum of states in this field. How can I just count just “act”? Regards, Tor Martin

Vega-Lite specifications consist of simple... to transform array data that’s in an Airtable field? I’m trying to transform some data without having to specify the field names ahead of time, so I’m wondering if I can somehow represent it as an array. This is a bit of a kludge, because there isn’t an ‘array’ datatype in Airtable (AFAIK). I suspect I might have to manually specify the format somehow, because just putting it in a text field like this: [1,2,3] doesn’t seem to produce the results you might expect.

Hello everyone! Right now I need to create a CRM system for an organization I work with. The point is that each project has several statuses (e.g. order received, pending order, editing etc.). The part I stucked at is that each part has two dates linked to it - planned date of delivery and actual date of delivery (to control the timing of each stage). This is the kind of syntax that works externally in the Vega Lite editor: "data": {"url": "https://vega.github.io/vega-datasets/data/unemployment-across-industries.json"} I’d like to include some external annotation data in a chart (and join it using a lookup, which also works OK in the Vega Lite editor), but I’m having trouble getting it working. I know the Vega Lite block binds the table data at runtime, but I’m not quite sure whether it’s able to make external requests or not. It doesn’t throw an error when I do it,

I know how to prefill a form via HTTP GET queries… But is it possible to prefill a form via HTTP POST fields instead so that the prefill data I’m submitting isn’t put into DNS logs or seen by MITM?

Hi, Im using Integromat to create new records in one of my tables. In this process I also provide a dropbox link to “upload” an image to airtable. The .png is added as attachment but the preview of it is never available. If I reupload the same .png file manually the preview works. There are some older threads here about temporary problems with certain airtable services that led to bugs with previews. Is this still a common problem? Is there a work around to fix the automatic image upload? Does it has something todo with the duration of the validity of the provided url to the image (e.g. a preview service revisiting the link later to generate the preview or sth.)?

Hello all. May I check if the following is possible with Airtable and in-built Automation. Trying to use a Main table input to create a new record into a new table. However it will be created in a “selected” existing table base on Input field condition. E.g. IF “Group1” THEN Create at Table1, IF “Group2” THEN Create at Table2 I asked the same question to support and they suggested Script approach as below. " While our create record action is set to a specific table (making what you’re trying to do impossible for a single automation), you might be able to do what you’re looking to by building a rather complex [Run a script Action]. This is an advanced corner of Airtable – you’ll need knowledge of JavaScript to be successful here." If this is true, was wondering what Script resource is needed to accomplish this.

Hello everyone, I have been using airtable for a while now, to collect data about certain objects in a base with grid-view. Each line represents one object and I have different rows, characterizing the objects in different dimensions. Most of the rows are “multiple select” options with a max of 25 options which are freely combinable. So basically I have a base with around 120 instances and each instance is characterized in different dimensions. My interest now is to find clusters in a certain dimension which means I want to learn which options in a dimension have often been selected together. Is there a way of getting this done in airtable? The standard “group by” feature is working for dimensions (rows) where not many options are selectable but for dimension with more options it does not work in a sufficient way. I have difficulties in finding out if there is an app which could support my intentions. Also i have a free plan for now and can not just test around with different apps. Doe

Hello, I have a table containing close to 500 records. I am trying to set up chart apps to analyze various attributes of the data. When I install the app and fill out the settings, nothing displays, just a blank, white screen where the graph should be. I figure this might be due to the volume of records? Do charts or apps in general break when record volume exceeds a certain quantity? Has anyone else ran into this issue? Thanks!

Hi all, New to airtable so need a little bit of advice. I have set up a form on my website to collect data and sent it back to airtable. Issue I am having is that I am trying to work out how to move data based in a row to another record with matching text. So for example if I had a student enquiring about ‘Science for Beginners’ and another for ‘Advanced Maths’ I would like to add them to the relevant sheet under that course group. Is this possible to set up automatically with zapier etc? Look forward to hearing from you. Regards, Mark

When I try to set up a graph with the Charts app, nothing shows up in the graph area. I’ve tried different settings, I’ve turned off my adblock just in case, and still nothing. Does anyone know how to get the charts showing up?

When I’m creating a view and adding existing fields to that view they don’t show up in the order that I’m adding them. Sometimes it will show up in the middle of other fields that I’ve already added. And I can’t figure out the logic behind where it decides to put the field. I’d like the fields to be added in the order I select them.

I have several charts (from my Airtable data) - is there a way to export them onto one pdf/doc?

How do I limit file upload to ONE file? I’m telling people to upload a pdf document, but I want them to upload ONE document if it’s multiple pages, not separate pdfs. If I can limit the file upload to ONE, then I’m hoping that will force people to comply =)

In the pro version, I can choose to have the start time displayed next to the name of my event, but I can’t figure out how to make both the start and end time show up there. In my attached example the session runs from 8:00 - 10:00 but only ‘08’ shows up. I can also choose to have only the end time show up, but I want it to show 8:00 - 10:00. if i place a order for example 500 and then it is part shipped in 5 deliveries resulting in 5 invoices . can i have all involves values in one cell ( 100+100+100+100 ) this is then sum into new cell giving me a value of 400. i dont want to be creating new columns for every part invoice . as some order may come in anything up to 10 part shipments
