Because we control serial numbers for much of our products, I have one separate line for each purchased item. This means for the majority of items I can’t have qty>1. But I want to generate a Purchase Order pdf showing the sum of each product, to send to my provider. I can’t figure out how to show this sum for the items in a Purchase Order. Does anyone know how could I do it? These are the basic connections I have between some of my tables.

I am using the CSV Import app to import spreadsheets (always formatted with the same columns, no headings). The first couple months I’ve used Airtable, it always remembered the mapping so that each column references the correct Airtable field. Now, it’s never remembering the mapping. I have to re-map every time I import a new CSV. I’ve looked for settings that I could have changed by accident, and I’m sure this is something I’m doing wrong, but I am at a loss trying to figure out what/where to look. Any thoughts, suggestions? This is starting to eat up my time remapping every time.

Hi, I’ve got an ‘‘Email addresses’’ column in a base. When I send emails, I go on this base , copy the email addresses and paste them into the sender section of the composed email. This works well when I select email addresses that are in a continuous order in the column, however, I’m not able to select multiple fields for email addresses that aren’t in a continuous order. In an excel spreadsheet, you can select different cells by pressing ‘‘ctrl’’ on the keyboard. Is there a similar function on airtable or do I always need to copy/paste the emails one-by-one?

I’m trying to link my products to my sales records to mark which of my products I’ve sold. Every time I try to link the tables I either get an ‘unnamed record’ across the board or duplicated data across the top of my sheet, depending on which one I try to link from. All fields have name so I do not understand why it would say unnamed. nor why it would add new data instead of linking matching Product IDS I’m trying to link.

I manage several social media accounts for a marketing agency and use Airtable for my content calendars, etc, however, I would also like to use it for keeping track of and reporting social media analytics to my clients. Hi, I’m using a function to check for how long people had registered with my group. It’s working like a charm. DATETIME_DIFF(TODAY(), {Position (since)}, 'days') On the screen below, you can see it works great. It’s all good. But when I change the view, the same cells aren’t updating… What am I missing? What do I need to do to see it updated alone? On the screen below, you can see it’s not displaying what was entered on the main view.

I’m trying to figure out an easy way to open each photo entry (large-scale) and navigate to the next, the same way you would navigate using arrow keys on your keyboard. I’m not sure this is possible but I’m finding it very cumbersome to open full-scale images for each entry and quickly compare with adjacent entries. Has anyone found a quick, no fuss way to do this? Thanks

We use Airtable to keep track of meetings and interviews. I am a personal secretary and I usually create a gallery view containing the Contacts who have meetings on day X so that my boss can easily find those records and make notes of the meetings. However it seems that this functionality has changed, but I am not sure when. I created a gallery view of the Contacts who have meetings today and created a link with the first 2 options enabled (‘Allow viewers to copy data out of this view’ and ‘Show all fields in expanded records’), but when i try to test the link or send the link to my colleague to test (before sending to my boss), the link doesn’t allow us to edit the associated records. This is the case both if we are logged in to Airtable and if we are not logged in, behavior that is different from what previously was working. Did something change with Airtable? As the app currently is functioning, my boss has to log in and navigate to the base, table, and view to get to group of today

Hello everyone, I need help with my problem. I haven’t found a solution so far. I have an airtable where we include currency rates. Those are in this format #.##### (always five digits after the decimal point) I’m using this formula to switch the decimal point to comma to convert the number to EU standard: SUBSTITUTE(CONCATENATE({currency rate},""),".",",") This works fine so far, unless there is a number like this: How it should look like: 0,02580 What it looks like: 0,0258 The formula omits the final 0 I tried using VALUE to change it to a number field to use “formatting”, but this made things worse. It turns the number into “258”. Any idea how to fix this? Kind regards, Heike

Hi, I have a field which is a formula field for a due date group. I have 'due tomorrow set to → DATETIME_DIFF({Due},TODAY(),‘days’)=1, “ :yellow_circle: Due Tomorrow” But screenshot shows ‘due tomorrow’ for things which are actually due 2 days from now (today is 21st), not tomorrow. I assume its a timezone issue? But not sure what I need to change to fix? Or maybe I have done something else wrong? ?

Is is possible to calculate the Median of a group of values in Airtable?

I’m using a chart block to track number/type of events over time. Some months we’ll have 2, some months we’ll have none. In the current chart block, months with no data do not appear, making it impossible to tell the overall timeline at a glance without reading the x axis. Is there a workaround I’m not seeing here – a way to see the “empty” months?

hello i need some help to understand if its possible to do it like I want I have a database in excel that I want to upload to airtable and use to fetch data for users and trigger automation when a user asks for it. user that wants to get data will go to the form page user will log in using 2 fields from the table that will need to go to a table and validate it’s true. if the true user will be asked for his mail. (if it’s false he will ask to add the correct values again.) when adding his email he will get thank you message and now 2 things will happen: a. one email with several fields from the table will be sent right away to the admin of the system to notify him about this user request. b. after 1-hour the user will get the email with his requested data. I will love to know if it’s possible and what is the best way to do it thanks aviv

For consistency, I would like to have user be able to select an item from a list. However, if an item is not listed I would like them to be able to add it by typing it in. Is that possible? Individuals are using a from to add records, by the way.

I have a country column and a rating column, each with multiple options. I wish to apply a filter to see only “a, b and c” countries that have “x” rating. This does not seem possible with Airtable, which blows my mind a bit? I apply "Where country is “a” " at the top, then “Or b,” then “Or, c”, but I’m then unable to apply an “And” function to apply the single rating I wish to see for those countries. Is anyone able to explain why this seemingly simple function isn’t available? Many thanks in advance.

Hi! I’m new to formulas, and I can’t figure that one out, even though I’m sure it’s pretty simple. I’ve got a table with a multiple select field, and I’d like to know at a glance how many of these multiple selects were selected in each row, so I’m making a formula field COUNTA ({name of multiple select field}) but all it does is tell me 1 if there’s something in there, and 0 if there’s nothing. It doesn’t count how many items I’ve selected. Can anybody help me find the right formula? Many thanks in advance!

has anyone tried to to zap a record from airtable that has an attachment and move it to Evernote via zapier? there are so many attachments fields associated with airtable, I think I have tried all of them but no luck moving an attachment to Evernote

If you link to an image on the web (or through dropbox or google drive) does it still upload that image into your airtable storage space? In other words, does it count towards your data limit?

I came across an issue recently where a linked record column in table ‘A’ without the option to allow multiple linked records, still contained some records with multiple links to records in table ‘B’. Upon researching the matter it turns out that when you duplicate a record in table ‘B’ it duplicates the entire record including the column tracking the reverse link to records in table ‘A’ and therefore causing the record in table ‘A’ to now contain a second link to the newly created record. I understand why this is happening, as duplicating the record in its entirety includes the linked records column, however i am not sure this is the correct behavior, certainly if it violates a constraint added in another table

Does anyone else think its stupid to have the view selected in page designer auto default to the view you are in?! !@$#%L# once it set it it should STAY! never have i needed the selected view of records that a page is designed for to CHAAAAAANGE! unnecessary functionality that probably took way longer to build than it would have to do it correctly!!! rant over. maybe im the only one but i print at least 1 wrong batch every time because of this.

Hello! I’m looking for the ability to create colored fields (colored rows too) and have them be the same color in that row. I have a large table and I need certain fields to draw the eye. I created a couple of single select fields which I’m settling for until Airtable [hopefully] comes out with a better option but my question is, is there a way to make all single select fields in the same row the same color? Right now if I want to do that it would be a terribly long [and painful] manual process of changing every single select field in every row. If this option is available I would LOVE to know about it, if not, Airtable is it something that is in the works? Thanks!

In November, I contracted with a small IT company, Deytah, which I located through the Airtable Community to develop a specialized map app that our nonprofit research project needs that would consist of an interactive, georeferenced map of medieval cemeteries that associates specific graves on the map with entries in AirTable. Deytah produced an almost complete app, currently in github, (GitHub - deytah/airtable-app-polygon-mapper: Display and edit GeoJSON geometry with Mapbox in Airtable) that filled almost all of our requirements. However, before completing the final adjustments, the company simply vanished: Since December 21, we have had no communication from them and have been unable to reach anyone associated with the company. We are looking for someone with knowledge of React and AirTable who can make the final adjustments and corrections to the app.
