I’m trying to figure out a way to set a default to a Date field. 90% of the time it will be Today, however I need to be able to manually edit (override). Am I missing something obvious? Thanks -Stan

My “List Records” calls take about 1 second each to complete (5 fields), which suggests I may be able to make new calls before even receiving the previous ones. If I make 5 API calls and haven’t received them back after 1000ms, does this mean I can make 5 more new calls while still waiting for the old ones? Or does it base it off of request completion, in which I’d either have to wait until all 5 completed, or 1 second after the first one completed? Thanks!

I synced Tabla A in base 1 with Base 2. In Base 2 I now see the synced Table A. On Base 1, I added a new field in the original table A. I tried to add this new field on the synced Table in Base 2, without success. How can I solve this?

Hello I saw somewhere that we could easily connect our airtable data to facebook / google audiences. However I don’t find any other options than zapier. Can we connect our tables to facebook / google audiences directly? If yes how?

I’ve only been using airtable a few weeks but have not had this problem before on the daily task of copying data from Excel to Airtable. I haven’t deviated from the steps that have always worked. But yesterday and today, when I copy and paste into airtable, I get this message: "An error has occurred. Refresh this page." I’ve refreshed and tried again multiple times. Thanks for you help.

I am trying to create a “master calendar” for multiple teams within a department. I have shared the appropriate tables from multiple bases and created one “master” base. Now I need to create a calendar that shows all dates from all tables in the base. Is that even possible?

Hi, I’m trying to send data to google sheets using Airtable’s Scripting Block App. I have previously worked with using scripts in automations (ie Trigger → Run Script), but I have never used the scripting block by itself. We run an education service and therefore have to keep track of our students in the different school terms. Currently, the system appends a row to google sheets whenever a new row comes into the required table, which is then (unrelated) used to update a google form. The idea is that every couple of months we purge the data and add some new data. To summarise my questions: How can I edit the google sheet using the scripting block such that we can perform the operations above (Purge & Add Data)? I’ve seen that this is possible from Google Apps Script, but is it possible from the Airtable Scripting Block App? Thank you!

I created numerous databases on my Ipad. I wanted to import a CSV file, so I went to the windows version and imported the file, and created a database. When I went back into my ipad, the new database was there from my computer, but it deleted all the databases that I created on my Ipad. How do I get these back?

I think this is a view question, but maybe not. I have built a calendar type application for my business to schedule events. Each event can have multiple meeting times, and I have set up each meeting on another table that links. I’m trying to improve the workflow for creating a new event and it’s associated meetings. Is there a way to create a simple view for adding new records and error checking that I have input the minimum? The problem with the form is that I cannot also make the linked meetings all in one go, so it is seeming tedious. Any ideas for the best views (and workflows) for creating a new record with it’s (linked) children? Since the events don’t have times I cannot seem them on the calendar easily – that would be an amazing way to trigger the creation of events and all the meeting times, but that seems very tricky. I built a base for someone who asked a question here and for the life of me i dont know how to give it to them without potentially opening up all my other bases to this person. ive been trying to give it to them for 3 days and cant figure out how to get it to them with all the apps and automations and everything.

Thanks in advance for your help. I am stuck. We created a calendar of classes for a schedule and used a Single Line Text format for that field (which is our primary field). Now we wish to change the field to use a Multiple Select so that we can color coordinate and dump into a calendar. We wish for different classes to have different colors. We cannot figure out how this can be done. Can someone help?

Is there a way to assign multiple tasks at one time? Right now, each task needs to be individually selected. I would like to assign a group of tasks at one time.

I have a website with many posts (articles). I need to assign contractors to do different tasks on each post. The list of different tasks that can be done on any given page are about 27. Often times, I need them to do the same 5-6 tasks from the task list. Right now, I am having to go into each record (webpage), bring up the linked cell “Tasks” and go through the lists of tasks and choose the 5-6 tasks that need to be done. It takes forever. Is there a way to assign a group of tasks in a single click? Instead of choosing each one from a list? I have gone through the help and can’t seem to find the answer. Maybe I am asking it wrong. Hi all. I manage a charity based community support service set up at the beginning of lockdown which has volunteers performing tasks for the isolated and housebound. This is coordinated by a group of coordinators working from their homes on a shift basis. I looking to set up a basic incident management system but to be honest I am struggling to know where to start. I am tech savvy but new to Airtable, is there a template that would be a good spring board for me to develop for our requirements. Thanks in advance for your assistance. Rod

Hello, New to AirTable, we’re using it to run some data asset surveys. We are looking at a way to cross reference two tables like so: We have following tables: Data Assets Data Elements Data Processes Data Asset Survey Data Processes Survey Moreover: Data Asset Survey links multiple Data Elements per Data Assets. Data Processes Survey links Data Elements and Data Assets (source of data element) independently. Objective: We want to be able to check that Data Elements linked under a Data Process Survey record indeed exist for the Data Assets declared in the same record. This could be done: either by filtering input choices of Data Elements based on declared Data Asset, or vice versa, or by adding some extra column that will verify that the Data Element - Data Asset relationship indeed exists. Not sure if this is explained clearly. In other terms, if we associate A and B to record C, we need to check whether the A-B relationship already exists, to either limit input or to throw a wa

I have a spreadsheet containing rows of data, the unique identifier is email address in Column A. Most cells (in column A) have only 1 email address, but other cells have multiple email addresses, separated by a comma. In Google Sheets, I can use the SPLIT formula to take a cell with multiple email addresses, indicate that the comma is the delimitter, and Sheets will “split” the cell into multiple cells that contain 1 email address each. Example Formula: =SPLIT(A1,",") I’d like to know: instead of needing to split out data using Google Sheets formulas, can I import the raw data into AirTable, and use an AirTable feature (data type, app/block/ automation, etc.) to split the data into multiple records using the comma as a delimitter.

I have a ‘Payment receipt’ form I want my users to fill in to confirm they received the compensations I send them, and I need to keep a record of who completes this form. I have a user database table, and Payment receipts table (and form). When a user fills in their Payment receipt form, I’d like the corresponding ‘Payment receipt’ column in my users database table to get automatically populated. It seems like a simple thing to me, but I really can’t figure out how to set this up and if it’s even possible. I’m really new to Airtable and databases so it might be something really basic, sorry!

Hello Airtablers! I know that I will feel incredibly stupid when someone will explain why this is happening, but I can’t really figure it out. In my base I have a date column. I populated the first 2 cells and I would like Airtable to automatically populate the remaining cells with dates with the same interval as the first 2. When I try to use the fill handle it doesn’t do anything. I have tried with dates and numbers. I have tried creating a new base or adding tables to existing one. I select the cell, get the blue outline with the white box in the bottom right corner, hover over it and get the cross, then when I click and drag nothing moves but the cross. I would love to see the possibility of the web clipper being able to detect browser information and other capture data. I suspect that info is not possible with the current clipper capabilities. It would make a wonderful bug reporter, if combined with a related item on the wishlist Basic annotation for Web Clipper (the “visual comment” function is better than nothing, but it’s not actual annotation).
