Hello,I'm new to Airtable, and have been struggling to find the best way to solve my problem.I apologize if there is a similar post for this problem, but I couldn't find any that helped me to solve mine.I'm currently designing a base with multiple tables where there is a repeated and fixed information that needs to be reflected in different tables and different tables have different purpose and calculation. Is there any setting to mess with or extension to install that allows you to have an attachment open, but not fill the entire browser? Unfortunately some of our uploaded attachments are scanned & handwritten PDF forms, but ideally I would like to be able to open the attachment easily in a side panel so I can both view the PDF and still access the grid view of the records and edit a few of the fields. For example, the PDF may have a date on it, name of who prepared the form, and a task all handwritten on it. It is uploaded to the table which creates an essentially empty record that just has an attached PDF and I need info from the PDF to fill out the rest of the record. Side by side would be ideal (some of the handwriting is beyond any type of attempt at image rec).
I have many different bases which will have a table that has attachments, and then linked records to other tables within the base which then lookup the original attachments. As of yesterday and all days prior, I could open the attachment in the lookup field in the linked table directly. As of today, I can still see the preview for the attachment being looked up, but when clicking on it the cell goes blank and it won't open. My attachments are mostly PDFs but I'm seeing the same "won't load a looked up attachment" in other bases with photos and word docs as the attachment as well. Looks like it is an issue in the web interface and desktop app, possibly not in the mobile app (android) though.
My record is an account with multiple individuals and I need a way to use SendGrid to send an email to multiple recipients on that account. I’ve tried using a long form with "email1@email.com; email2@email.com;" as the Email Address Field, but it only sends to the first email. However, the email that is received does show multiple recipients in the “to” field. Is there a way around this, or is Airtable just not parsing the subsequent emails. I looked at the SendGrid API and it looks like you need to compose your JSON API call with multiple “to” recipients and so I’m assuming that SendGrid is also only parsing the first email for actual sending. Really really important for us.
Hello, I need to figure out how to display multiple select options in a cell that is contingent upon another cell. I’m making a list of corporate goals, then under corporate goals I have department goals. I want my cell to display only goals that I choose from within the department goal category. I have one column for Strategic Goals, another column for Department, and another column that I want to use to display Departmental Goals. I want to be able to search within the Department to select the goals I want displayed within the cell without it showing me every department goal. Is this doable? Please help asap! Thank you.
Hi Airtablers! I have started a self-study to record day to day activities in my home-based caregiving initiative - taking care of my 91 year old Mom. I am using the default time setting in Airtable - 1/2 hour increments - is there a way to set it to 1/4 hour increments - ie. every 15 minutes instead of every 30 minutes? Thanks!
Hello,I'm looking for a solution that would allow me to build a front-end for my Airtable bases. I've already tried several solutions but I still have the same problem: I have a lot of buttons that trigger scripts (scripting blocks).I may have missed some features or solutions that offer this, but today if I have to migrate my scripting blocks to automation (to go through Interfaces) it will take me a lot of time. Solutions like Softr and others don't seem to allow this either.If you have a way of doing this without too many complications, I'll take it, otherwise I'll roll up my sleeves 🙂Thanks in advanceKevin
I have looked at a few of the prefix scripts but cannot find one that fits the bill for us.When a new record is created, our Ref field is manually inputted as:ABC2025-01 (Enquiry identifier - always the same 3 letters, Current Year, sequential number)Occasionally, the Ref field is filled with a subnumber, usually if a project gets split into phases. This is always manually inputted, so in theory the last project could end up being ABC2025-125-01.All we are looking for (hopefully) is once a new record is made, the Ref field is automatically filled with ABC2025-02, next record ABC2025-03 etcAny help appreciated
We have an Airtable form to submit internal orders, and it would be very helpful for our team to have a field that shows the last record number before filling in a new order. Not to create the order number – we have autonumbers set up – this is because they have to add the current PO to one of the files that gets submitted in the form itself. Right now they’re going and checking the latest order number in the normal Airtable view before submitting the form, but if they can cut that step out it would be helpful! Is there any way to add in a view-only or read-only field? I looked at trying to integrate the interfaces with forms too and that didn’t quite get what I was going for. Thank you!
When we embed forms on our site, we write the title and description on the page for brand consistency across pages. I do not need the form title to be repeated in the embed portion. AT adds the form title by default in any shared view and there seems no way to delete it. Is there a work around?
Hi everyone! Newbie here still getting my head around Airtable. I am creating a form with 14 questions. The answer to each questions is a scale from 1-5, 1 being none of the time 5 being all of the time. When the form is complete I would like to be able to total the 14 answers for each respondent (so if someone answered 1 for each answer their total would be 14). How do I do this?! Many thanks
I am using record templates to create deliverables and tasks. I am setting due dates relative to the "current date". For example, I want the deliverable to be due "1 day after current date". When the template runs, it adds 3 days to the current date. If the current date is 6/30/23, it will put the due date as 7/3/23 rather than 7/1/23. If I use current date alone, it puts in today's date. Does anyone know why this is happening and how to prevent it?
Hi,I have a situation where a public user would need to fill out a form, be able to view ONLY that record with their responses (with additional dependent fields displayed), and then print that record in a nice-looking format. I've explored other integrations, the public interface option, etc. but I can't find something that would work for the entire process. Does anyone have any suggestions?
When creating a Form view, it would be helpful to be able to specify a “Read Only” view for a specific field. I am using linked records to display data from other tables but in some cases, only want to display the pertinent data, with no ability to modify it, or to add a new record. Not seeing that this is possible at the moment.
We use WordPress with Elementor and have noticed that the page containing our embedded Calendars and Galleries frequently freezes when viewed in Chrome. Additionally, the Calendar and/or Galleries in most instances do not appear at all. The embedded Calendars and Galleries work as expected in Firefox and Edge, though they can take some time to load. Is anyone else experiencing this issue? We've contacted support, but haven't heard back from them as of yet.
I have a select drop down field with number rating from 1 to 10, 1 - 2 - 3 - 4 .. etc... . I want to filter all the records that have a rating bigger than, let's say 6, but there's no number operators (">", "<") for the select field.Is there a solution to this?thank you in advance.

Hi all! I am running a T-shirt business and currently am filling orders. I have embedded a form onto my website so that when customers want to place orders, their info goes straight into AirTable. My question is this: is there a way to save this info in a customized PDF or Word doc template, and send this back to my customers? Any help would be awesome! Thanks!
Relative Airtable Rookie (Well, maybe a Sophomore) here… So forgive me if this is obvious or somewhere - but I sure have looked and haven’t been able to find it! I know you can use Airtable forms for other people to input info directly into your spreadsheets. Cool. Got it. But I need the opposite. What if I have all the info, but I want to generate a report or a form to distribute that? (And make it look nice?) Case Study: I produce a television talk show and I want to generate several different “forms” or reports. Examples: a research dossier for the hosts to prepare for their on camera interviews of these subjects with headshots, bios, topic-related background, social media links, etc. on the guest as opposed to a different one for the editor - with much of the same overlapping info but links to where all the A/V assets are (DropBox, whatever) versus one for “transpo” - providing home address and cell phone for the limo driver to pick him/her up, drop them off (but no one else should

I need to save each form individually as a pdf, word doc or something similar (not in excel format!) so that I can include it in the file for each person that completes the form. Hi everyone. I am currently working on a project for my client, to connect his platform dashboard with airtble.I am at the step in my demo test where I call webhook payloads api to get changes that are made in airtable table records. for changing existing record is ok. put for creating new record the payload returns "changedRecordById" instead of "createdRecordById" plus the payload is generated for each change on charate in a field.its important for me so i can lay my backend logic when to call update or create method. anyone has any idea why is stil receive payload this way. We’re a film festival looking to pull the titles of our submissions in order to create slugs that can be used to create virtual posts on our WordPress site. I need a way to parse just the text from the submission, with the ability to remove special characters (i.e. " ’ ! ? ; : @ # $ % ^ etc.). I’ve gotten to this point so far: LOWER(SUBSTITUTE({English Title}, " ", "-")) This allows me to hyphenate the titles, but still includes special characters. Is anyone aware of a workaround for this, or do I need to manually create my slugs in this case? Cheers!
Hey there, I’m in need of some advice from the community. We have recently set up Airtable as a CRM and it is working wonderfully with the exception of e-mail tracking. We’re still using Hubspot for e-mail tracking with a button from within Airtable that takes you directly to the deal in Hubspot - so you can see/send comms to a contact. However, we’re really keen to ditch Hubspot but I don’t think it’s possible to solve the e-mail tracking from within Airtable. Does anyone have any experience with any other CRM’s that offer email tracking and offer a clean/straight forward integration with Airtable? Currently, we use integromat to bridge the gap which works well but we cannot use it for contact mapping. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
A bunch of people use a Shared Link that I created. When opened they have the option to filter data in this view, which is really nice. In this view they are allowed to print (or export to csv). Now, I found out that, when filtered, the Print command will still show all records! That’s too bad, because especially with a lot of records, you really don’t want to print all of them. Is it possible to adjust this? Frankly, it feels like this is a bug.
