I’m writing to see if anyone knows how to create a multi-section survey within Airtable. For example, section 1 would ask for general information (name, email, phone); section 2 would ask 2-3 questions, etc. The goal is to increase the completion rate of a long survey by breaking it into 4-5 sections; each with a few questions only.

Is there a way to have a Comments column with built in questions to ask. I forgot questions to ask when I’m on the call.

Hi there! Sorry if this questions has already been asked but I was wondering if there was a way to use the summary dropdown for a duration column. I have a column for video lengths grouped by series, I’m looking for a way to find the sum of each series but when I go to the summary dropdown at the top of the table, I’m not met with any options that enable that. I do have durations set as “h:mm:ss” but I’m unsure if AirTable has a way of summarizing time. Any suggestions are helpful, thanks!

I’m trying to set up a Gantt block (or possibly multiple Gantt blocks) displaying the timeline of tasks LEADING UP TO a goal date. A project (record) will have tasks with predecessors, and I want to work backwards from the GOAL DATE, with the last task ending just before the GOAL DATE/TIME, and the preceding task ending just before that one needs to start, etc. Can I plot multiple tasks, pertaining to the same record, on a Gantt block? Or, does each of these tasks need it’s own Gantt chart?

One real downside for me is Airtable limiting records to just 50,000. While that will allow me to enter just over a 1 year of our current data I really would like all of our data to remain in the same base for many years to come and scale as we do. That way we can filter and report on many years at a time from one base. I would only require 1-3 user licenses, so enterprise is not an option (plus it starts at $3,000 per month!), so that is way out of our budget. Would be nice if they offered a larger plan that offered more records (like 100,000 records for $35mo., 150,000 records for $50mo., 200,000 records for $65mo., etc. ) Any users run into the 50,000 limit have a work around? Regards!

With the Pro plan, there are “20 synced tables per base”. Does this mean that a table can only send its data out to 20 other tables? Or does it mean that a table can only have incoming data from 20 synced tables? Or both … or something else? Thanks.

Hi I have made a form for colleagues to fill in. Amongst many fields people will manually fill in, I need the form to add the current date to my table. Are there any tactics for doing this?, please? In this case, this field could be hidden from the form, as the value will always be the day on which the form is sent. Alternatively, we could pre-fill the form field with today’s date, but a) I know AirTable doesn’t support pre-filling/default form fields and b) though I know you can pass values through a URL string parameter, I’ve no idea when you can pass a generic TODAY-type value, as opposed to a specific value. I’m new to Airtable. I’m creating a spreadsheet base of experts and their contact information. Each expert has expertise on certain public companies in the technology sector. Each public company has a ticker symbol (as in, the stock ticker symbol). For example, Dynatrace is DT. Some experts are experts on as many as 15 public companies (so 15 different tickers). What would be the best way to set up this base of expert contacts so that it is highly searchable and sortable by ticker? Let’s say you have 1000 contacts and you want to search for contacts who have expertise on “DT”, the question is how should I go about setting up the columns so that this search functionality works best? Also, in Excel, Excel auto-suggest words that it remembers when you type something in a cell that’s also been typed higher up in that same column. How do I get Airtable to do this? I would ideally want Airtable to suggest “Dynatrace” if I begin typing that word in a cell because it recognizes it from cell

How to share the dashboard with grid view and map app as a website?

Is there a keyboard shortcut to trigger opening the Search App? Currently if you use the standard search shortcut (Cmd+F / Cmd+G) you get the standard search bar:

Looking for some insight here. Tried searching all around, but I can’t figure this out. In my base I have a table where I enter products as they are being produced, recording the widget, the quantity produced, and the day it was produced. These widgets are grouped into categories which are linked to a “category” table. On the other side of things, I have another table where I’m recording the raw inputs as I’m using them, linked to the same categories table as the widgets. Every day, we tie out the inputs with the outputs to make sure that everything lines up. I would like to have a permanent record tieing out these numbers in my base. I know that I can do rollups based on dates but it’s always something that has to be static, ie sum everything from yesterday. I would like to pick a date in a date field and then sum up all the widgets produced and raw materials used on that date. Is there a way to do this? Hopefully, this makes sense. Please let me know if

Greetings Airtable peeps - I’m cleaning up my client’s contact database and looking to enhance address data with Integromat and Google Maps. So far I can get a formatted address back (yeah!) and I can see a big array of address components in the Maps module, but I don’t see how to access those components visually in the followon Airtable module. Anyone have experience mapping to Google Maps address array components? Edit - I figured out how to select different components but realize that I need to collect and extract the specific component. Unfortunately Integromat’s example on JSON collection and extraction no longer seems to have those modules available… or I can’t find the new names. Any guidance here?

Working with a healthcare related database where items are used across several departments. I need to identify where the price charged is different from other departments. Ideally, I would be able to have a check box or notate them in some where where I could then filter/group. Example: Item Department Price 123 ER $50 123 Clinic $50 123 Radiology $100 How could I flag Item numbers there is at least 1 with a different price? Hope this makes sense.

For example the status column has 5 options, so i want to use the same column in second table and see the changes i.e if i add more column / status options they should be reflected in other tables as well. Is it possbile ?

Hi All! I’m trying to use apps to create dashboards to support my team in managing their workflow. I’ve made a dashboard that pulls from several different grid views for each possible status a member could be in. When you click on the bar in the chart, a list of records shows up, then when you click on a specific record it opens up like a card view. I was hoping to be able to customize that view by editing the grid view it’s pulling from, but that doesn’t seem to work. Anyone have any tips? Thanks! Pam
