Does anyone know how/ if it is possible to highlight multiple fields and move them over together? I know in excel/google sheets this is very simple but I am having trouble with Airtable. The use case is that let’s say I decided to create 3 new fields for a table and accidentally added them on the right and now want to re-order them. To group the 3 together and move all the way to left side it looks like I have to do it 1 by 1 for now. Any ideas?

Dear Community, I am new to Airtable. I am making my first block. I have a table with multiple fields. I want to make a Pie Chart with just two of the fields. I made a pie chart from the table but it includes all the fields in the table. How can I select just two of those fields? Thank you in advance for your help. Rob

HI all, I’m hoping for a little direction here. I have managed to write a script to retrieve a single record from Base B based on a Date/Time field in Base A. My problem is that I can’t figure out how to then extract a value from that response. The response looks like this (I have REMOVED record Specifics). I am trying to extract ‘Height’ 3.49 in this case, which is a number in Base B. I then plan to update the initial record in Base A using that figure (I think I can do that bit once I can get the number out of the response). I have copied a template with good data to start. I have my own data in a spreadsheet. If I organize the spreadsheet to match the table will Airtable recognize items with the same first column and offer to NOT import, or merge the data?

I need to populate a field in a table using the latest form entry for a particular record. What is the easiest way to pull the latest information from one table into another table? See screenshots below: Here is one screenshot with information from one table that I want to pull to another table. As you can see, there are TWO entries that are ratings for a certain project. I ONLY want to pull the “Final: Avg. Rating” field for the most recent entry for a particular project into another table. I have a Date Submitted column, as well as an Auto Number column. Hello, I have a base setup that tracks campaigns (each campaign has an individual record) that are currently live, upcoming, and completed based on dates we input. I’m using a single select field for the phase it’s in (live, upcoming, completed). The table is grouped by the phase. Each record has a start date and end date entered. How can I make it so each record is automatically in the correct phase based on the start/end date I input? For example, let’s say today’s date is 8/28/20, and Record A has a start date of 8/1/20 and an end date of 8/30/20, I would want this record to be in the “live” phase right now, and on 9/1/20, I want it automatically moved to the “completed” phase. How can I achieve this? Thanks in advance!

I see that if I upgrade to the Pro plan (I’m on the $10/month plan), there is something called Page Builder that will let me design and create a PDF file. I’m wondering if there is something similar that would let me design and create an HTML file from a view that could then be used as part of a web page. Thanks!

Hi! How can I delete a row on a Mac?

Hi all I have a rollup field that shows the last order for a particular sku. I’d like to link to this record. I can link to all orders for this SKU as you can see with the linked Daily Orders field and this would be fine if it showed the latest order first but it doesn’t. Anyhow, because the order number is a text value, I first convert it to a number so that I can use max(value) in the rollup field and then I convert it back to it’s text form:- I’d like to link to this record but I can’t find an automated way to do this. Once my Latest OrdNum formula field is populated I know I can change the field type to lookup and it will work, but only for the records that there at the moment. Any ideas on how this could be solved please. Thanks Claire

Is there a script to deduplicate content, then select the rows to keep based on a timestamp or another count field? Eg., In a table of social media data the content is duplicated, but the dedupe block doesn’t allow me to group content then choose to keep only the most recent.

Thanks in advance for any answers I might get to this. In summary I have: 1 Table 1 Grid View with all the data 1 Grid View with the trigger for zapier (Last Modified Time is Today) What zapier does is when I get a new record on the “Trigger” view it sends an email to all salespeople. My “problem” is, I updated a record on the Grid View with all the data and the Last Modified Time is Today but it didn’t send the email as it usually does. Is it because it isn’t actually a new record, and just an update? Is that why it didn’t work for that specific result?

I know that there is a find and replace option which lets you find and then replace with text you write in, but is there a way to have a script search through a table to find a record then replace some of the data (not the stuff searched for) with datd searched for and found on another table. i.e Rather than replace (X) with (Y), replace (Whatever is in field A on a specific record) with (something found in Field B on a linked record) which is on an second table.

It can be one using Coupler.io or some paid Airtable addon but I am looking for ways to do that with Integromat (free version). (Zapier doesn’t offer free multi-levels, so Integromat is the only option in town offering for free multilevel flow albeit with limited number of runs). Airtable stores images (and attachments) in one field together separated by commas. I can instruct Integromat to only retrieve the URL’s but they are all in the same cell in Google Sheets. (So ULR1,URL2,URL3…URLx all together). I wish the integration included instructions how to deal with that to separate. I’m trying to play with text various tools in Integromat but I don’t know how to make it work because Integromat instructions lack examples of scenarios and results and there is no guidance how to create flows (compared to Zapier). I want URL1 be in separate column, URL2 in separate column, etc… As I said works fine with Coupler addon b

I can’t get the page designer to print in color or export to pdf in color. Also, in the print preview on the screen, it looks perfectly sized, but when I print, everything is squished into the top left 50% of the page. Yes, I’ve checked my printer settings. anyone have any idea? thanks!

Curious to know if Airtable natively allows manual exporting and/or importing of workspaces and/or bases. Is this possible? Thanks! John

Hello! I am new airtable user and going through the support videos now, can you please help me with my db. My problem: I have created a product guide. There are 5 tables currently, 3 imp ones are company, products, product subtype and each table has a primary and foreign key. Some tables have multiple foreign keys. I want to create an output block ( not sure what to call it) where the user has to answer 3 questions about the 3 tables ( preferably from a drop list that shows all values of the table) ex: Q1 What company are you looking for? and Dropdown shows Honda, Toyota Based on the answer from 3 questions, I want to display a specific set of data that is available based on his choices. Ex: If they say Company = Honda, Product = Car, Product_subtype = suv my output should be all Honda suvs and click on that should get them all the specs. Phew! Long question. Please help!!

Hi All, I am hoping someone may have a good way to work this out. I have a table in which there is a link to another table based on the Job Title of a particular entry on the first table. In the second table, there are a number of other fields that are associated with that Job Title, including a rich text field that includes some possible information that MAY or MAY NOT apply to one of the entries in the first table. I have written a formula in the first table to determine whether or not these fields in the second table will apply to the entry in the first table. The goal is to be able to use SendGrid to alter the email message we send to the person in the first table based on the results of the formula that I have written. I have had to use a Lookup field to grab that “potential” information from the second table and bring it forward to the first table. I have structured my SendGrid template to use the AA info or BizOps Info fields if that applies and the field is not blank.

Hi everyone! My coding skills are pretty limited :pensive: Here’s my problem: I have 2 tables. Table 1: a list of companies (records) with various fields. Table 2: I use this table to perform various statistics on all the companies in table 1 through many “Count” fields. Both tables are linked: in table 1, I have field with a “Stats” for each record. That field is linked to table 2 where I only have one record (“Stats”). My problem: every time I create a new record in table 1, I have to populate the linked field with “Stats” to make sure my stats in table 2 are updated. It’s OK to do that manually for a few new records, but I have to enter dozens of new records a day. I am looking for a simple script that would automatically populate my linked field in table 1 with “Stats” (i.e link it to the sole record ID of the record in table 2). I would be eternally grateful to anyone who could help me on this ! I have

I’m trying to make a block chart that has “status” (a single select field) on the x axis and “production time”(a duration field) on the y axis. But when I select status, production time is grayed out, why? What I’m going for is a bar graph that shows how much production time is sitting in each status. So 2 hours of production time in waiting on approval. Or 3 hours of production time sitting in Designing.

Hi, I have made a table with all our equipment. This is linked to another planning table where I can book the equipment to different projekts. When the equipment is booked on several projekts the start and end feilds on my equipment table(that also is linked from my planning table) will view several dates. I’ve tried to do a calendar view based on all the start and end dates. When I do that the calendar will only show the equipment that has one start/end date. The Equipment that has more than one start/end date will not show up in the calendar. Does anyone have a solution for this? Maybe a workaround with a formula or something? below is a printscreen of my equipment table: Thankful for all the help I can get! best, Jonas
