Hello everyone, i’m new to airtable. I try to configure a backlog for my business. I created a base with 2 tables. 1 table named project (name | contact client | Status) 1 table named tasks (name of the task | Status of the task) I linked the tasks table to the project table. In the kanban view of the project talbe, i’m able to see my tasks in my cards. But i want to know if it’s possible when i move my cards to different status to display only the tasks corresponding to a specific status ? Thank you.

Hi, I would like to know if it is possible to get all records from a table based on a specific field value? For example If I had two table [Students] & [Groups] and another one [Marks] and I want to put all students of a specific group in that table by just choosing the group. How can I do that please?

Hello Airtable community! due to corona pandemic in Germany the sales tax was decreased from 19% to 16 % during the period from 01.07.2020 to 31.12.2020 (DD/MM/YYYY). I have a column which shows the date of performance which is decisive for the tax rate. My formula is accepted by AT but it just seem not to calculate because the result is always 19%. My formula is: IF(AND({Date of Perfomance}>06/30/2020,{Date of Perfomance}<01/01/2021),16,19) Can you find the mistake I made? Thank you for your help in advance! Avi

I have 40+ columns i need to change to the same multiple select options/same colors. Doing it manually is slow and i’m making mistakes/not being uniform. Can you/how do you copy the multiple select options of one column to make multiple other columns like that with just a few clicks? Thanks.

Hi, I’m experimenting the scripting block to provide a simple UI (2 buttons) for non technical users of this base to make an HTTP request when they’re done editing the base. I couldn’t find a way to provide them with the UI of the script without having the “Edit code” button that opens the source code of the script. Is this possible? Thanks Seb

I’m new user in AirTable and I have access to Blocks. I started with Gantt and my propose is create a roadmap view to report. The first step is ok, but I need to see the difference between planned versus accomplished. Someone know how can I do that?

I work in event management and am trying to keep track of our conference speakers. About half of our speakers need hotel rooms. I have a table that keeps track of speakers and the events they are attending. This table has a checkbox field that asks if they need lodging. I have a second linked table that keeps track of hotel reservations. What I want is for a hotel reservation record to be automatically generated when when the “lodging needed” box is checked on the first table. I’ve been told this is possible but I can’t find a formula for it.

Hi, I would like to automatically to be able to move date from one table to another. My scenario is if I have a current client and enter an end date in the current clients table, to automatically move the record to the previous clients table (where I have additional summary data in addition to the fields I have in the current clients table. Might this be possible if I can have some fields in both tables which are identical? Thanks in advance for any help

We’ve designed two forms - one to be sent out via email, one to be embedded on our website. I would like to be able to automatically see in the grid view where the data has come from (i.e., was the “source” form the one from the website or the email)? Anyone know a good way to do this? Thank you!

Hello, currently I have a database on Airtable that lists a contacts name, email, company, email, phone, etc. I’m looking to create a new tab for just their companies, that properly links back to the contacts. For example, it would be pulling all of the companies onto a new tab and then ideally being able to link back to any contacts associated with that company. What would be the best way to set something like that up? Thank you in advance for the assistance!

I’m using Airtable to manage designs for a t-shirt business. I upload the transparent PNG files to the table and I use some tools that need the direct download link for that file. I was able to get the URL for the file using this formula: RIGHT(LEFT(Interior, LEN(Interior) - 1), LEN(LEFT(Interior, LEN(Interior) - 1)) - SEARCH(“https://”,Interior) + 1) But it only opens the file in the Airtable Viewer. I need it to download directly to my computer when the link is visited. Possible?

I created a fairly simple Airtable base to manage clients/orders/products. I started with the sample orders table and simplified it a lot to only what I need. It has tables for Products, Clients, Orders, Order Line Items Now I’d like to use Zapier to upload data from a Google Sheet that one of our retailers uses to send us orders. The retailer pastes their next order details onto a new row of the google sheet. Each row of the google sheet contains data that goes into several tables. Client Name and Address goes in Clients table. Order number and Order date goes in Orders table. Ordered Product Skus and Quantities goes in Order Line Items table. I use a mult-step zap to get the all the data into the correct tables. But something is not right. I am getting extra rows of unlinked data. For example, say the spreadsheet shows Order # 6334 for Avery Taylor. Well Zapier creates 2 clients named Avery Taylor (one has address info and one is blank) And then Zapier creates Order # 6334 bu

I’m using these days exclusively iPad Pro 12.9” 3rd gen and in my workflow I have need to group data by date. I have problem with both iPadOS app and web version using iPad Safari. iPad app doesn’t seem to have option for collapsing grouped data making my data unreadable. Web site on iPad Safari cannot scroll using 2 fingers on screen or trackpadon magic keybard. The only way is to point to scroll bar on right side and do drag on it which is quite hard to accomplish. Any thoughts and suggestions on this? Tnx!

Hi all I’m really struggling with this - where is @Bill.French when you need him :-), Bill I need you! (or anyone else that can help please). So I have a view based on my orders table that filters unfulfilled orders I have written some code (with the help of others) that loops through the unfulfilled orders and creates new records in the Prod Req (Producction Required table). This table contains the product sku as the primary field and has a Linked Orders field (linked record field) that contains all unfulfilled orders with their order numbers along with some rollup fields. This code works well but it will create duplicate records in the Prod Req table each time it runs. Ideally, I’d like the code to first compare the Unfulfilled Orders against the Prod Req table. If it finds the same sku in there, then add the associated order number/order record.id to the Linked Orders field. If the sku does not exist in the Prod Req table, then add it and also the linked orders. Here’s the code… le

I keep creating records on the wrong tables whenever I use the ios app. Is there a way to move a record to a diff table?

When using a form to gather input to a linked record field, is there any way to show the end user a field other than the primary field/column? Case use: I have a CHECK IN form that my workers can use to check in when they begin their job. The ‘Name’ field is linked record to my WORKERS Table, where Worker Name is the primary field/column. SO when they visit the form from their phone and fill out the ‘Name’ field on the form, they are essentially choosing their names off the list populated from the WORKERS table. That part is perfect. But the second field on the form asks for ‘location’ - I want that list populated with entries from the ‘location’ field/column in the JOBS table. But I cannot link to a specific column it seems, only the whole record, which means on mobile form, they only see the primary field/column info, which is job number. Is there a way to get it to show the ‘Location’ data instead? Besidies either… a) making ‘location’ the primary field/column in the JOBS table b) c

I want to embed a view on my website. When I click on <> embed this view on your site, it just takes me to a webpage saying “Sorry, the page you were looking for was not found.” Is this feature broken? I used to be able to get to the page that shows the code to embed but it doesn’t work now. I have tried it on different bases as well. Am I doing something wrong?

Hey Everyone, I’m really new to using Airtable, most of my experience in productivity software has been with programs like Omnifocus where AppleScript was a possibility. What I’m looking to achieve (and I’m not sure if it is possible) is to find a way to generate emails to contacts using data from the record filling placeholders. For instance, this is how my Omnifocus task is setup now: “Congratulations on the purchase agreement for your property at <> Your agent <> <> and I are both super excited to get started on this process for you, feel free to reach out to me at any point for help or questions. Don’t worry, you’re not being passed off, in fact, I’m a licensed agent too, I just happen to work in the office more than I work in the field.” Is there a way to generate an action button for a record where you can email the associated contacts and have the fields from that record fill in the blanks? Hi I hope someone can help, I am new to Airtable and have a project for a customer and wondered the best way round creating the solution. My customer is wanting to create a list of blocks that when exported as a CSV will create a shopping list for the actual ordering of the material. For example, they could have a number of orders per week for different products and they then need to create a list of all the parts to purchase. My initial idea was to create drop-down lists of the options across all their products and then my customer as they get orders will select the part and the number required for each part, but there could be a number of sections to the list on each order line so could have multiple of the same items (let’s use different screw sizes as an example) My other thought was, as I am new I don’t know if this is possible, they create somewhere all the parts for each product and then when they get an order, they select the product against the order and it auto-populates with

Wondering if anyone else has run into this issue. I have a Zebra DS4208 USB scanner. I intend to scan data one of my tables in my base. You can program the scanner to pass commands to the application you are scanning to. For example in Excel you can have it do a carriage return so when you scan into a cell it goes to the next cell and is ready for the next scan. I have used the scanner and can successfully scan data into a table in my base using my laptop. The problem I have is the command to create a new record is . In my research it appears that the Zebra Scanner will not pass the command. Just trying to avoid having to after every scan. Thanks, Brian

Hey folks! I’ve set up an export of records from Looker to Airtable. The view that I’m exporting may contain duplicates of previously exported rows, and I’d like to set up a view that contains only the latest exported entry per each key, where key is a single column. I’ve set up a CREATED_TIME() and RECORD_ID() columns and tried keeping the latest entry using links, but as far as I can see links need to be manually added which is completely unfeasible and kind of ruins the purpose of automation of the whole process. How can this be done? I’m open to having to write code, use existing blocks, or similar.
