I’m used to using an enterprise account, but now I’m on a PRO account and I’m looking to randomly assign a collaborator to a record. I’ve got an idea of how to do this already, but I don’t know how to pull a user id in a non-enterprise account.

Noob Zapier user here. I am using Zapier to create an Event in Airtable when a new Calendly appointment is made. I use Pacific time for my time zone in Calendly but all collaborators use GMT time in Airtable. When the zap runs. It is putting in the wrong time (as expected). I am a new Zapier user so I don’t know how or where to enter the adjustment so the correct time appears.in AirTable.

Hey guys, Thanks for the help to start with- If I use a form, is there anyway to have that info automatically feed in to my AirTable- I.E. I have an AirTable that requires alot of info for the different blocks. I was thinking it might be easier for my VA’s to simply fill out a form- Then that form feed the answers in to the correct AirTable. Is there an easy way to do that?

Hi, Here is my problem : In my “people” table, I want to display a count of “meeting” records created by each collaborator. In my “meeting” table, I created a “created by” column that automatically sets itself to the creator of each new record. It is important that this information cannot be manually overwritten, this is why I chose “collaborator” field type instead of directly linking it to my “people” table since links can be changed by every user. Now I need to link both tables so I can create a “count” column in my “people” table to count the number of meetings created by each collaborator. In a nutshell, I need the link between those two tables to be automatically set through the creator of each record in the “meetings” table. The problem is that there is no way to set a “Collaborator” type in the Primary Field of my “people” table. Do you have any suggestion that could work around it ? Hope I am clear enough

I have started to build a pedigree database for my cats. I want to se result in health so for me it’s importent to follow my breeder lines. I have some questions regarding Blocks and though Org Chart is it possible to have more relationships types than one? As it is now I can se the mothers lines and the father lines but not at the same time. Is it also possible to embedd blocks into en website or share just the view from the block? Hope someone could help med!

Hi! I am trying to do what I believe is a simple and common task, but I can’t find a way to do it. Let’s say I have a table "Expenses" and another one "Income" I want to bring the data from the Expenses table and the Income table in the same "Page Designer" but obviously I don’t know the "height" of either table in advance as they change month by month. Is there a way to position one block below the other automatically? Thanks in advance!

Hi there, I’m new to the AirTable platform and community. We’re a digital agency and I’m looking to deploy AirTable as the central platform to manage all our client projects. I’ve set up a project tracker that is working nicely, but I would like to give our clients the option to receive automatic SMS and email alerts when their projects change status. I have integrated with the Twillo API but can only see a way to send SMS messages to a batch of clients manually. Is there any way to achieve what I need (ie create a series of Templates in Twillo and SendGrid which then automatically trigger to the client once certain rules are met. Ie. when a project changes status to ‘in development’, AirTable checks if the client has ticked the SMS and Email alert field, then finds the SMS and Email template for the ‘status change’ and sends it to them? Any help from the community on this would be amazing! All the best, Owen

So our student organization uses airtable to organize members and sponsors. I was wondering if there’s a way to quickly and easily send a massive email to the emails we have in a workspace. We have a lot of contacts and a small staff so we’re trying to find the most efficient way to send emails.

Hello, I use airtable for a recruitment activity. I already have a candidates database in airtable. I want to give the possibility to futures candidates to come on the database and be recorded in airtable. I already connected my typeform to the airtable (in a basic way, proposed by typeform). It works. When I fill the typeform, it creates a new line in the database on airtable, this is ok. But if the candidate already exist in the database, I would like to avoid the duplicates. I would like that airtable recognize that the candidate is already in the airtable database and not create a new line but update the existing information concerning this candidate. I was told that Zapier could solve this problem. I tried to do it through Zapier. I don’t know how to use the part “customize record”. Thank you for your help,

Hi Airtable! I have a bit of an unusual request. I have a base that has been set up to track duplicate records. I have the free plan and I probably won’t use the Pro Plan. I wondered if someone can make a video on how to setup linked fields and Rollup fields with formulas for this base. I have the base already setup, I just need a clear, instructional video on how to do this. I also have the original base setup too. It should not take very long. Thank you, Mary Kay

Hello, I am wondering if it is possible to embed a Shopify Buy button in Airtable cell

There is no KanBan view available in the iOS app, and the user is told to use the web browser to see this view. Unfortunately there is a persistent dialog on the web home page after you log in redirecting you to use the iOS app. Does any one know how to solve this? Thanks in advance

This question was asked by another user in February but was closed without an answer. It does not seem possible to move cards between stacks in the KanBan view on an iPhone or iPad at least. Surely this is a basic requirement of the KanBan view? Is there a tip or trick? Or is it something that the broad user base do not need? A reply would be appreciated even it is to confirm that the answer is “no”. Thanks in advance for any help.

When I import the Airtable data as external collection in Adalo it skips some cells. I then have to add data into each cell and then import them back. Some times it works and sometime it doesn’t. It is very frustrating doing this back and forth. Does anyone has faced this issue and how do I resolve this.

Hello! I’m trying to start the 14 day Pro Trial but I can’t find out how to start it anywhere. When I signed up, I was automatically placed on the free version with no option to choose the trial. Upgrading only gives me the option of paying for a Pro subscription, but I would like to try it before committing. Is there a specific URL I need to visit, or do I need to make a new account that’s signing up for the trial specifically, or is there something else I’m missing? I checked the relevant FAQ entry but it had no information on this topic.

I have a table that tracks costs incurred at different dates and I’m trying to make a report with the script block that lets the user select a week number witch will then show only show the costs incurred in that week. I have formular field on my view that converts the date to a week number. First and foremost, I absolutely love airtable. I’ve searched the forum for my answer so I’m looking for a pinch of clarity. I’ve got a “meal plan” with 6 separate meal groups (meal 1, 2, 3…) take “Meal 1” for example. 3 food items in meal 1 but the user can select different items from the attached “food list” if they’d like. I’ve got everything good to go except for the removal of certain editor permission in the food list table. Can I allow someone the editing rights but restrictions on the user: typing, adding records to the food list table, accidentally deleteting a record or toying with formula peramiters. Just simply selecting records in the food list table. One likely workaround is using notifications when a user/collaborator makes and edit. I’ll be using that notification regardless but would feel much more confident if I can avoid user/collaborator mishaps. Thx in advance for any input in this regard

Hi AirTable Folks - I’m making liberal use of the CSV Import function. However I just unfortunately over-wrote some data I did not intend to. After reading through the data, I realized my mistake. I tried using “undo” but AirTable is not undoing the import through the undo function. Is there some way to undo a block import into AirTable?

Here is what I am trying to do. Table 1 has two fields (date, # widgets) Table 2 has two fields (date, total widgets) Table 1 has 4 records. Here they are: 1/1/2020, 2 1/1/2020, 5 1/7/2020, 1 1/7/2020, 1 I want Table 2 to sum up all the widgets by date. So I would want Table 2 to show… 1/1/2020, 7 1/7/1010, 2 How can I do this? I would manually add the date in Table 2 and the Total Widgets field would automatically add up the # Widgets field from Table 1 based on the date. Is it possible to do this? If so… how?
