Hi! I created 2 tables - Table 1 - Input from a form I created - Including a tracking number and quantity actually received Table 2 - Download from a website with the tracking numbers and quantity shipped I wanted to link these two tables with the tracking number field to then be able to create an additional field that would calc how many items I had outstanding. When I go to link the tracking numbers between the tables - The data in BOTH tables for tracking number columns totally disappear? I feel like this is pretty simple… am I missing something basic? please help!

DTS-07232017 Hello, RE: Scroll Bars Not Functioning Scroll bars are not functioning on mobile desktop web browser mode. Whether in Chromium or FF neither scroll bars are functioning. The cannot be accessed. So there’s no way to scroll horizontal. In the Airtable mobile app, the mobile is entirely limited, dysfunctional making it useless. So obviously Airtable wasn’t developed with mobile coding and is restricted, to laptops. This is irritating, to be on mobile technologies, on the road working on a database build only to find out it needs a laptop! What pisses me off is at this point I might as well use MS Access. I am creating an IF formula in the Primary field so I know which apartment my maintenance manager was in, doing what, on what date. I have a table that breaks it down by per suite so it is organized. I have this as my formula: Suite & “: " & Comments & " - " & IF({Date Completed}, " (” & DATETIME_FORMAT({Date Completed}, ‘ll’) & “)”) I copied and pasted it from a sample but it puts the date in brackets. I don’t want brackets around the date. I cannot figure out which parenthesis to eliminate. I have tried different ones but then I cannot save it due to errors in the formula. Is there a way to do this formula so the date is not in (bracketed)?

Is there any way to hide the view selector on the left to gain screen space?

Anyone have any suggestions as to why I am not receiving a notification email when a form is submitted to airtable? After a form is submitted, a record does get created, it’s only the notification I don’t get. Also: I do have the “email me at xx@xxx.com” selected on the form, and I have checked my spam folder, but nothing there. Any advice?

Hi all, I created a survey in the form version and send out the links for those to complete. As with other surveys I’ve made, I should see the responses coming in in the Grid version however this isn’t occurring. I am not sure what troubleshooting I could do to get these responses visible. I completed the form, as a test, and that response is also not appearing. Any support or direction is greatly appreciated. Thanks, Samantha

Hello! Is it possible to customize connections within cards on the same table? I have a link setup between two tables, but would like to customize those links to only match to certain views. For example, on one table - Jobs - I would like one card to connect to a specific view on another table, but on the same table, I’d like another card to connect to a separate view on the other table as well. Instead of a dropdown menu for my Views, I have a list that shows-up and stays open on the left side of my spreadsheet until I get fed up and I click on the column to close it. Is there a way to put it back as a dropdown arrow like it was before? I don’t even know how I got it to change in the first place. All my other colleagues have an arrow and I have a box that says Views

Heya ! In Chrome, I managed to change first day of week in calendar views by setting English (UK) as chrome default language. That’s something :smiling_face_with_three_hearts: . But when using the Windows app (seems based on a clean light version of Chrome, perfect for my needs :kissing_heart: ), I’m stuck with Sunday as first day of the week. Limitation of the Windows app ? Or did I miss something ? Happy AirTabling !

I am trying to upload several jpgs to one record. I use ‘Gallery’ and drop files in bulk to the plus sign bottom right. They are pages from a book and therefore in a sequence. The files are numbered as jpgs in a numerical sequence. Why can I not have the viewed output remain in the correct sequence? Why is the output always reversed with the last item first? How can I fix this? Many thanks if anybody can help!

I’m developing a WordPress plugin that backs up your entire Airtable account (as JSON, CSV, and optionally downloading any attachments). I intend to release it as Open Source when it’s done. It’s not finished, and won’t be for a few months, but I’m interested in seeing how it works for others. Because it’s still in alpha stage, and I know there are security-related bugs, you’ll need to have a LOCAL web server with WordPress installed (i.e. one that’s not accessible on the internet). Can anyone provide some input on how I would go about creating a rule between tables? In my situation, I am attempting to pair students to jobs available. I have the two tables linked, but would like to set a rule that once a student has been “assigned”/linked to a position on the other table, that the move from the “unassigned” column to the “completed” column. Another way that this may be able to work is if there is a way to limit the number of times each record can be linked. In this situation, we only want one student to be allowed to be linked to one job. Thank you in advance for any help you can provide!

I’m building a social media content calendar using Airtable’s Digital Content Calendar template. I created Sections for each social media platform, but I haven’t found a simple way to link the actual posts per platform. I’ve been logging the posts as Records and then linking them to the Section. When I want to share the same post across four platforms, but at different times on the calendar, I’ve had to create four Records - one per Section/social platform. My goal is to see when they’re all scheduled in the calendar view, but it seems redundant to make four Records of the same posts for it to cover all four Sections/social platforms. For example, I’m sharing the same post on Twitter and Facebook on two different days. I would like to only make one Record, but link it to both Twitter and Facebook and have it show up in my calendar view on two separate times. What’s the most efficient way to do this?

Hello, brand new user, here! :slightly_smiling_face: I see the ability to edit permissions of a field so that only specific users can edit a field; however, is there a way to set the permissions so that only specific users can see the field to begin with? We want to include some sensitive information in our database that can only be seen/accessed by certain employees. Thank you in advance for any help you can provide.

Is there a way to automate this system of numbering new records: Q-19001 - “19” is tells me it’s from 2010 and then it’s followed by a 3 digit autonumber. Q-20001 - that’s the first record for 2020 and the 3 digit sequence resets itself. I have two questions - Which formula command “extracts” the 2 digit year (YY) from a “date created” field for example? I can’t seem to figure that one out. I am sure it’s easy… How do I set the autonumber field as having to have 3 digits - and is there a way to have the auto-numbers reset every year? (Someone had suggested to manually adjust the formula at the beginning of each year by subtracting the highest number of last year - that’s certainly one way of doing it.) Hello Folks, I am totally new to Airtable, I work as a content planning manager, so I want to build a base that’s is collaborative and at the same time keeps sensitive info to their owners, For instance: I have 5 content owners, each is ingesting his data to his view and involuntary to the main base, however, they have some sensitive columns, they don’t want these to be visible to anyone.even if they changed their view to personal, other collaborators can’t see it but still can unhide the columns to the main base or to their own views. What’s the best practice to create such a thing, where everybody is ingesting all information to the same place and hide whatever they want to their own only? Could you please help me with that, thanks in advance to you all.

I’m trying to upload a set of data using the CSV import block - wondering if when you get the warning of ‘2 cell values couldn’t be mapped’ there’s any way to see which cells that is referring to. Does anyone know?

I have a page designer document set up to send to the client using photos the contractor’s uploaded of their work through the various stages. At times these contractors upload wrong, blurry, inconsistent to project photos. Is there a way to choose which photos are attached to the document without downloading, copy/pasting the best photos out of a selection of 500-1000 photos a day?

Hello Airtable Community! I’m using Airtable to keep track of a series of components on a customer site via the Serial Number, location and revision level and am currently trying to merge data from an inspection table and a installation tracker table to spit out the most recent entry entry so that I have an accurate real time master sheet. Unfortunately neither of these are perfectly accurate or complete so they often fill each others data gaps. The current issue I’m having is I can’t seem to find a way to stack serial numbers from 2 fields into a single field. I figured this would be a good way to compile a master list and then use a formula to clear duplicates and keep the most recent entries. If there is a better way about going this I’m all ears as well! Best Regards, Nico

I have data in a pipeline and I am using lookup to pull it into my base. They are connected by the Company name field which is linked. The problem is that we have multiple customers with the same name. (They are churches). Each record is unique but when the lookup runs it pulls in multiples. The example below shows Trinity UMC. This is one specific record but the lookup pulled data from every Trinity UMC we have. How can I get it to look at each instance of Trinity UMC as a unique record? Do I need to connect the two with a different field such as ID#? That would be unique on all 22000 records.
