Is there any way to have a hierarchical structure in the organizational chart block that is more than 3 rows deep? I am building a family tree and I’d rather the org chart continue to build vertically instead of horizontally, but it seems to continuously lay out horizontally which is making some of the connections confusing to read.

Like the calendar view but if you introduce Gantt you could take Smartsheet out of the market :slightly_smiling_face: until then they have an edge over you!!! As an interim to full Gantt view could you show tasks with a start and end date as a span e.g. multi days rather than start date only?

Hello, I’m wondering if there’s a way to change single select option automatically. To give a context, we have two tables in a base, one for Sales and one for Inventory. The Inventory table contains both available and sold items. We’ve linked the sheets and used lookup to populate Sales data from Sales sheet in the fields in Inventory sheet (such as Order ID, Order Date, buyer info, etc.) I want the Single select field to change from Available to Sold, lets say when there’s an Order ID for a record. Is there a way to do this, maybe using the scripting block or any other Airtable features. Thanks!

Hi, I’ve been trying to visualize data in blocks using charts and was wondering if there’s a way to add data labels to these charts. For example, if I make a pie chart, is there a way to mention percentages on the chart. At the moment I only see the percentage when I hover the mouse on the chart. (see image)

Hi there, Is there a way to use the Scripting Block to get a download url of the “print” button from the Page Designer block into a record? I’m looking for a way to get the Page Designer pdf into a record. I’m only using the mobile app but I would love to download a pdf from the page designer block from a record.

I would like to have a field in my table that shows the URL for each of the records so that this can easily be added to an email in a mail merge. I realize that I can copy the URL for any record and then paste it into the URL field that has been to the table, but there must be a simple way to just display the record URL. Thanks, Mike Morse

When adding/ editing information in a linked record, a lot of unnecessary details are displayed, which are confusing. Can I “simplify” the view by just displaying the main field value, but not all the additional fields? I only want the field value (in large letters), but not all the related values (i.e. in the image, I want to hide all the information in the red boxes). How can I do it?

I have created custom blocks for my base and shared the base to anyone with the link (with a read only). However it is showing “This block is disabled” for custom blocks. Regular blocks are shown but not custom blocks. Please see attachment

My current Gallery view prints three records on a page (because it can technically fit three to a page). How do I set it up to print one record per page?

I swear I read somewhere recently that we could choose to make out account public, I think so other users could look at it for ideas or AirTable could look at it for research or something, and in exchange we’d be able to upgrade for free, but now I can’t find that information anywhere. Does anyone else remember reading something like this?

I am a consultant and was very hopeful that I could use airtable to build a solution for a client to replace their access database that had two tables in it. I have now pretty much given up on using AirTable but thought I’d ask in case I am overlooking some feature that could make this work. My client has 10 users that modify data, and 300 that look at the data. The people doing the looking never edit, but they would need to be able to change the sort order of the views, and ideally resize columns and filter what is in the views. This does not seem to be possible if they are “readonly” users. I don’t see any “Blocks” that support this either. So it appears the only option would be to make all those 300 users “commenters”. But that has two big problems. The first is that they don’t want to spend the additional $6,000 per month (300 users * 20 each) to support that - we can make other solutions much cheaper. The second is, even if they did pay, every user still has to create perso

I have tables “customers” “orders” and “products” Products has a multiple choice for product type. Orders is linked to the customer and the product with a date. I am looking for a solution to find the last time a product was ordered by a client in an overview/ filter/ group. Hello, I’m attempting to use airable to manage a tag filtering system that feeds into a 3rd party database for my job. Problem is that multiple select tags seem to add an arbitrary space when converted to a string. This effectively eliminates its usefulness as our system cannot parse it. Example: Is there any easy way to get around this? Perhaps an extra formula step to remove the space after each comma? Thank you in advance!

Hi, I am very new to Airtable. I am doing social media for a non-profit organization, so I am using the Social Media Calendar base. I am having a very hard time with the calendar. The default template had 2018 and 2019 holidays, and I figured out how to make them display 2020 holidays. What I cannot figure out is how to display the 2021 dates for holidays that change. The formula appears to just be adding one year to the original date (looks like it was built for birthdays and then co-opted into all holidays?) and I cannot seem to change that to account for variable holidays. Ideally I would just type in the 2021 date and it would display on the 2021 calendar in the correct place. Thank you in advance for your help! Dates of Changing Holidays

Using Devonthink 3 Pro, I can capture text from whatever source (eg websites, etc). then use a keyboard shortcut of my own making via Word Service, to reformat - stripping out all links, line endings, headings, bold, etc etc. What I’d like to do is copy and paste direct into a long text field in AT and have the field reformat it? Is that possible, and if so would I need to use a formula or script and if so what would the formula be and how would I go about it? tia

Is there any way to force uniqueness on the key field? In other words, I want the value in the key field to be unique across all records. So I should not be able to create two records with the same key field value. Thanks. –Brad
