Hello!I have a table that has multiple tabs. If on Tab A, I have a column of costs, am I able to link the sum of that column to a cell on Tab B?I know that I cannot use Airtable like I do Excel, but I am trying to do it anyway because I really love working on Airtable.!!thank you for your help!  

I've had a simple "LInk to Another Record" field working flawlessly for years.  All of a sudden it stopped working correctly., sometime between 9/27/24 and 10/31/24 . I give you the dates because I'm almost certain that there was a note from Airtable that popped up in the last week or two about new AI features, and I see that on the Link to Another Record field there is a new option that wasn't there before--to use AI (see attached screenshot).AI addition or not, here's the behavior:- On existing records, it's still working, sort of. Although if I change the field (Field 1) it is using to select a field from the target table, it doesn't grab the new record.- On a new record, The Link to Another Record does not bring in the record field. So on new records, I now have to out my cursor in the Link to Another Record field, and manually select the record I need.Any ideas?   

In the new forms section there is no way to sort your form title in the left forms list.Allow sorting of these forms both by drag and drop AND alphabetize like we do all the time with fields like single selects. Thank you!mpollock@olamilaunch.org

Hello,I was notified by Airtable today that I am part of a minority of users using way too much API on the free tier, costing Airtable money. The email instructed me to look at my offending workspace. Unfortunately, the workspace sums all base APIs but does not break down percentage used by individual bases, making it impossible to tell which is the offender. How do I find out which base is hammering the limit? How much API limit will I get if I upgrade to team? Why is this information so cryptic?Thank you in advance,-API Hog

Hello, I run a small business that produces a variety of hemp-based products in south India. We buy the seeds from the Himalayas and press hemp seed oil which also gives us the flour. With these two raw materials we currently produce up to 14 food and body-care products. These products are distributed locally and throughout India, retail and wholesale, brick and mortar stores and e-commere. I need a system that can help us keep track of all the orders, sales, stores, customers, stock, packaging, etc… For example a delivery is made to a local shop of 3 x oil, 5 x pasta, 8 x soap. I’d like that information to be recorded including the date. An automatic tally would give us the total sales of each outlet for each month. The 3 x oil, 5 x pasta, 8 x soap would also automatically be deducted from our stock total and potentially the packaging stock. So far we haven’t used any system at all, and it’s becoming unmanageable! I’ve understood that once all t

I am trying out Norton Secure VPN. I encountered two problems. Neither of these occurred with my previous VPN (NordVPN). I have a table with a single field that is “single line text.” The table is sorted on that field and “keep sorted” is selected. When I added a new entry, it was not sorted into place, but rather stayed as the final entry in the table. When I tried to input a new entry in a more complex table via a form, a blank entry was added, without all the information that I entered on the form. Has anybody else experienced these problems, possibly with a different VPN? Thanks, Hershel

Is it clear to anyone if a team of 7 for example, can pool all of their Airtable AI credits together and use them even if it is just one user who is pressing "Generate" each time? I have read all of the documentation + reached out to Support and they have not yet answered this seemingly easy question.My guess would be that you could but want to make sure before we put into production.  

Hey guys,I am trying to calculate out hours for our personnel worked on projects each day. We only have the start and end dates of projects, we were not tracking hours individually so this'll be a rough estimate at the end of the day. Here what I'm working with:Project Tracker table: This is the hub for all the project information including the start date and end date for each project. It links to the personnel table through a crew linked field.Personnel table: Contains all the information about a person.What I'm looking for:I need to calculate from a persons allotted 8 hours how many hours were worked on each project for each day. These hours will be split evenly to total 8 hours. The final numbers would show us:- Person total hours per project- Project Total hours from all personnelHere's a visual of what I'm thinking (not how it would look in airtable)

I am looking up a field from another table but it comes in as a text value. I would like it to be clickable like the linked fields so I can jump directly to the record. Any ideas how to do that?

I have an automation email that I am trying to include a personalised fallout form link inside the html of the email. The other html features like the header image as well as the dynamic link to pull in first name works. this is the code for the personalised link. Access Your AccountPlease don't hesitate to contact me if you have any questions or need assistance.  <a href=" invoice link "> December Invoice </a>(see attached image of true setup)  Invoice Link works as expected when I click it from the table. What happens when I send a preview of this is that is links back to the airtable base. Invoice Link is a formula, so I thought that was the issue, and duplicated it into a single line text filed and got the same result. Any hints on how to correct this?Eric

I’m new to airtable, it’s great! I’m trying to use it for a sign-off / authority database for leave requests, expenses claims etc. Is it possible to give a collaborator access to some columns but not others on the database? For instance they could create new requests but only people with sign-off authority could tick the “approved” column for requests. I know you could achieve this effect with a form for new entries but I’d prefer permission controls. Please let me know, thanks Thanks Lyndon

I have recently started with a new organisation as an Airtable Admin for their Enterprise account, and have just recently validated the domain and am now trying to manage user accounts and permissions more effectively including good procedure for deactivation/off-boarding. I've noticed that when editing 'collaborator' fields LOTS of old staff member accounts appear as options and it says they are "Enterprise account users without base access", these same people also appear as options when I am adding people into Airtable user groups. Ideally I would love it if these old staff members were hidden from these lists as it's confusing to sift through so many names.I thought perhaps I could rename them to "zz_name" or something via the Admin panel to at least push them to the bottom of the list and indicate visually that they aren't active, however, I have just realised I can't see them in the Admin user panel AT ALL! I am trying to create an order form for the company I work for. Right now we get orders through email, where the customer just writes what they want on a paper, takes a picture of it, and emails it to us. I need the madness to stop. So I've been looking to create either a form or an interface of sorts that will allow my customers to be able to input their name, and company info including shipping address, and then they are allowed to input their own part numbers and quantity.I do not want to create an inventory table for them to be able to choose, as there are thousands of constantly changing parts and numbers. The customers know the numbers they need to use and how many they need.I am new to Airtable but I do have a decent understanding of how databases are structured and linked relationships. Whenever I attempt to edit some of the binary settings of one of my forms (e.g. the option to "redirect to URL" upon form submission), I get redirected to create a new base. I think this is a bug, but when I chat with the help bot it tells me to "send this information to Airtable support". When I ask the bot how to contact Airtable support, it does not respond. When I try to follow these instructions, I get directed back to the bot. How can I report this bug so it gets fixed?

Hi,I created a base for our nonprofit to manage a program. The main table is called "teams," as we work with teams of young people and educators. I created another table that is linked to teams, called Interactions, so that staff can log interactions there- similar to a CRM. I have a Lookup field in the teams table to show the date and text of the last interaction.The issue is that staff are ignoring this and using Comments instead. I have never instructed anyone to use comments, but it's there and it seems to feel comfortable for people. I am trying to think ahead to issues this will cause. I noticed in another question that you can't call up the most recent comment. Anything else?Thank you!

SOLVED - Seems to have just been an Airtable Glitch for the day.Hi,I have a contacts table from one base synced to another base.It is 2 way synced and I have all settings set to allow editing and creation of new records:However, on the other base with the table synced, it is not allowing me to create new records.It does let me edit records which syncs up fine - but now creating new:  Any ideas why this isn't working? Thank youDM

Hello everyone,I have a specific need that I can't seem to solve. Basically, my database includes training dates with multiple participants. At the end of the module, we ask the trainer to evaluate each participant on at least 5 criteria.So, for each training, there are 5 or more associated criteria. And each registration is linked to an evaluation form to which each criterion is attached, which are rated on 5 stars at three points in time: "beginning of the training," "middle of the training," and "end of the training."I need to send a form that groups all the evaluation forms of the session as a linked record. And then I need to be able to click on these evaluation forms and then on each criterion on which I can add a rating at the beginning, a rating in the middle, and a rating at the end (3 columns in the rating format). I tried using fillout, but it seems it's not possible to update a linked record, which is very restrictive. Hello all I’m a reporter who uses Airtable to keep track of big developments on the subjects I cover. When I find a relevant article, I use the clipper to pull the page title, URL and whatever text I’ve highlighted in the story into a table. It’s a nice system. But what I can’t work out is a way to easily log the date of an article’s publication. It doesn’t seem possible to add a date field into the clipper, so at the moment, I’m writing the date manually into a short text field. That’s fine - though if I want to arrange the articles by date, or generate a timeline infographic, I’ll run into problems. How might I work around this? Dave

Hi. I'm just getting started on airtable and I want information on my form builder in my dropdown menu to show on the actual form. When in the form builder it shows the first and last name plus other info such as status and email addresses but on the actual form when I click on the same field it only shows me the first name. Is there a way to change this? I'm trying to change it from the second photo to the first photo on the actual form.

When filling out a form, when selecting a record in a linked field, you see [pic1.jpg].Is it possible to change it so that it looks like [pic2.jpg], in the form view itself.This way you are able to see more information about the record you are selecting. Thanks,Nareg
