Big Picture: Im trying to accomplish a process to automatically link records between tables. The use case is automating a process where when a user updates their membership in an external system, airtable creates a new membership record and links it to a user account in our airtable database.  Basically our CRM's membership data doesnt talk to AirTable.  So Im using automations to export the data an ingest it into airtable.  Once its ingested, the membership data needs to be linked with a user record in airtable.The steps I think need to be accomplished.1. In table A, we Create a record with a {user account number} from a database not linked to airtable.2. In table B, I want to take the that {user account number} from Table A and match it to a record in Table B.3. Update a linked record field in Table B with the matched record from step 2.Im struggling with step 3 in particular.  Both the external database, and the airtable user accounts table have the common "

My task is so easy. When a new email is received, I need to create a new record in Airtable with data from this email. All things go well in Zapier from start to testing. I see all data from the email in the new record in Airtable. Great! When I try to publish a new zap, I see a new window like in the attachment to this message. I can not publish this zap. Thanks in advance for any hint on how to solve this issue.

Is it possible to export a set of automations. I am working across multiple Airtables but require to use similar automations across them all. It would save lots of time if I could export them and import them to different Airtables.

Hello,I'm a fresh user of Airtable. During Pro trial I created some basic table with a form for people to sign up for an event. To avoid any accidental changes to the form after it was shared, I locked that form.Now the trial period has ended and I cannot unlock the view, or even delete it (after duplicating).In all the places that allow for unlocking the view, the option is gone. When clicking on the view's bar on the lock icon, then "Locked view / Collaborative view", nothing happens.This means that I cannot e.g. stop accepting entries. Link settings cannot be changed. The view cannot be deleted.I wrote to the support, but I'm afraid of being forced to pay $20 for Pro just to unlock one form...Any other ideas on what to do? Thanks

Hello, friends.I have two tables. Unfortunately I can't change how they're structured, or I would. So I'd love some advice on getting what I need from this setup.The first table, "readers," shows a "profile owner" associated with a "branch." Then there's a list of readers in the third column, titled "reader name." I need to associate those readers with their branch so I can show how many readers there are per branch in an interface report.The second table, "totals," shows an aggregate of how many readers are associated with each profile owner. But in the "totals" table no branch is listed.I'm hoping that I can choose "totals" as the source for my "readers per branch" element by matching "first name" to "profile owner" from the "readers" table. This would create links between "number of readers" in the "totals" table and "branch" from the "readers" table.I hope I'm explaining it well. It's complicated. Probably a pretty simple script update here but I'm stumped... Everything just comes back as undefined rather than the value 1.  

If I create a View Share link in Airtable and email it to someone so that they can see my view, will that person be prompted to first create an Airtable account? Or can they just view the link (as I had intended...) by clicking on it?

It's a bit of a silly question, but I am a little alarmed that I have used up 39,000 automation runs out of the 50,000 available for my workspace ( I am on the pro plan ). Just wondering if it renews monthly, and how can I add more if I need to?My business is expanding and the amount of automations might reach the limits eventually, there should be a way to add more runs separately hopefully?

HiI would like to know the pros and cons of using Airtable scripting extension to save emails  sent to either a domain specific mail id (like "someuser@exampledomain.com" ) or to a gmail account. I think there are some extensions in market place which does this job but it has recurring cost. For instance if we plan to use gmail account as the mail receiver then I think gmail API can be used to create a custom scripting solution to store emails (along with attachments) into Airtable base. I think the same approach works with other domains as well as long as they share an API to read e-mails. Please share feedback on this approachThanksHenry

hello, I'm trying to make a table where employees upload two dates through a form, when they go on vacation and when they return.So far so good, I was able to make a formula that counts the weekdays and these are subtracted from the number of available vacation days (vacations days left) . What I do not know is how to accumulate the days taken in the event if this person fills out the form againMaybe there is a simpler solution to this problem.Thank you

Hi,I'm struggling a bit with a slack automation. the idea: we have a list where all new customer appointments go in. Every day at a certain time the automation pushes the total number of appointments into a slack message. Now we have customers that make more than one appointment and we would like to also understand the number of customers. My first community post...In a table Results I have a structure like this:Category field selects from another tableProcess field also selects from another tablePressures field selects from a third tableEach row of Results has a unique combination of Category - Process - Pressures for which it provides numeric data (analysis results) in subsequent fields. How can I create a lookup with both Category and Process to  identify the Pressures and numeric results? Another catch is that Process is also dependent on Category, as not all Processes are available to all Categories.So ideally the user would choose a Category and then see available Processes. After selecting a Process, they get a report of all the Pressures with the numeric data in a report.Possible in Airtable?

i’m creating a database where one of the tables is “people.” currently i have it set up so that the primary field concatenates the person’s first and last names to become a full name field. i also have this linked to another table in the base so that people in the table can register for events by finding their record in the people table to associate with their registration. however, it just occurred to me that i haven’t accounted for the fact that people in our database might have the same name, which would make the primary field not unique. i don’t really want to add their record ID to the primary field formula, which is the easiest solution i can think of, because then people would see that when they register for an event & find themselves in the list. i suppose i could create a more complicated way to handle RSVPs where it comes into another table & then matches with existing people somehow (i know this is possible, but haven’t learned how to do it yet). is there an easier w

SituationI've got a base (with 2 script extensions) which I share publicly and with all sharing options (copy data & extensions) enabled. The base is also not over it's extension limit in the workspace.ProblemWhen another user accesses this shared link and copy it to his/her workspace, the 2 scripts are there but their code is overwritten/removed with the default 'hello world' script.I do see for example this shared (vlookup example) base  where the scripts are working when you copy that base.Do you have an idea why it does not work for me?Do I need this deprecated beta to share extensions?Thanks in advance!
