Hello,I am experimenting with Airtable and Make, but I have a table with a Primary key which is a Formula field.I am trying to create a record in Airtable with this primary key as a formula, but the primary key is populated with NaN value.Isn't supposed Airtable to create this primary key even when I create a new record via Make?edit: I added some screenshot to show that inserting a new record via Airtable API is NOT updating the formula primary key------My second problem is that Upsert from Make in Airtable is not working, it constantly replies with "NOT FOUND", but Upsert is supposed to create the record if not found.Thank youCamillo

A significant part of our workflows concern the intake, organization and review of PDF documents (e.g, correspondence, memos, progress reports, etc.).We have a firm grasp on how Airtable can help us with respect to the intake and organization workflows for PDFs as attachments. However, we are struggling with using Airtable to efficiently review PDFs, which is largely a product of our inability to display full resolution (or near full resolution) views of PDFs.The "record review" interface layout would be nearly perfect for our PDF review workflow if we could immediately display a full resolution view of PDF attachments when the record review interface is first opened without the need to click on the attachment, wait for it to open, and only then be presented with the full resolution view of the PDF.Based upon my search of this forum, it appears several people have requested the ability to incorporate full

Hi,I’m using Airtable for our fundraising Auction database to store items to then upload to our Auction website. We have our items in Airtable and then different image fields for the donation. We have 10 image fields. Each field has its own image. Those images are named by the product ID we assign them.Anyway, the issue I’m wondering about is when I download the CSV of items to then upload to our Auction website, some of the image fields have the image file name which is great, and then a lot of them have the image file name AND then a link to the image in parentheses as well. I’d like it to just have the name of the file without the parentheses and the link, nothing else. Scenario: I have a base with a table in it.  This base has the grid view, kaban view, and a form view.  The form view allows for the creation of new records.  When using the Kaban view from within the Data section, it seems very useful in my overall goal in creating a ticketing system.What I am trying to figure out is when creating an interface for these records using Kaban as the element, is there a way to allow for adding 'seeing and adding collaborator's comments' from w/in the Interface?  I can see these comments fine in the 'Data>Table>Kaban View' but don't know how to see these comments, let alone add new ones via the Kaban view in my interface.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I would like to find records whose ID field match a given value, playlistId, in a specific table I defined as playlistsRecords. In other words, I want to find matches in a field, get their record IDs, and if there are no matches to tell me that there are no matches. I've tried "playlistsRecords.includes(playlistId)" without success and suspect I need to rely something like the following: base('Playlists').find(playlistId, function(err, record) { if (err) { console.error(err); return; } console.log('Retrieved', record.id); }); Any pointers? Past experience? 

Simple and easy question, I plan on using airtable with a group of 25 for a project. Is it possible that I can allow all of them to edit on the free plan?

My brain is broken (or my formula is)… We have 4 departments (Production, Creative, Marketing, BD). When a prospective client is in our radar we run their product through a review process to get a sense from a variety of perspectives, the quality of their work. We submit the materials into an interface and the head of each department assigns a member from their team to the review. Once all 4 heads of assigned and marked their department ‘ready’ an automation kicks in and sends out an email… Sometimes there is 1 person assigned from each department… sometimes there are 2 or more… So my sheet has (for each department) 1 field for the user assignment 1 field that looks up the emails (and formats it in the manner expected “graham@email.com, joe@email.com” finally though, I have a formula feild that attempts to combine all those emails into one string of comma separated emails to that it can be inserted into the to: field of my outbound, automated email. Problem is… that doesnt work… When

I have a formula field in one of my bases that is designed to show us how much work is left to be done before a project's start date.So we have the start date and the number of outstanding tasks.  The formula field looks at those two fields and lets us know how many tasks per day are due.What I would like to do is drive an automation flow in the event that formula field spits out a number that is higher than it was before.  In other words, if we've been at 2 tasks per day but it jumps to 3 tasks per day, I'd want to know that.But I don't see any straightforward way to monitor a formula in this manner.  Anyone have any creative ideas?

I have tried wrapping both fields in VALUE(field), ABS(field), etc. How do I get this to behave? What is the reasoning behind this?

We are setting up a Booking system with Airtable and trying to find a way to hide / disallow our customers from selecting weekends on the Form View. We want to be able to see weekends on our end in the calendar view, but the customer should not be able to select a weekend as a start or end date. Any ideas?

Howdy AT community!Hoping an AT wizard can assist with the below forms automation conundrum:I have a subscription activation request form for a particular subscription product whereby customer organisations/managers can submit up to 10 nominated subscribers.  Form record fields are minimal, just nominated subscriber emails and organisation are required (with subscription product name hidden on the backend). I have set up an automation that creates records in a Product Slices table as submissions are received. However, the automation creates 10 records in the table regardless of nominated subscribers submitted (resulting in a lot of blank records!) Furthermore, the Organisation name does not populate for the first record created for some reason (see attached images). Can anyone advise on a way to tweak the automation to only create records against submitted nominated subscriber emails? 

Hello everyone, Pretty new to Airtable but I am enjoying the platform and the features it offers. Currently I have a table with data for when we last saw specific people. The date is being entered as February 13, 2023 for example and I am converting it to a different format for reporting purposes. I am currently using the formula:DATETIME_FORMAT({Date of Entry},"YYYYMMDD") which outputs the date as 20230213 which is exactly what is needed. The problem is that there are other sections where specific people will not have dates entered so it is returning errors in the table "#ERROR!" How do I make the formula only activate when there is a date entered?

Hey all! Working on making Page Designer work hard to create the thing I need 🙂 A couple of limitations I have run into that I haven't found a workaround for yet:1) Flowthrough to another column. Currently I have this list of information:But I want to be able to run it over 2 columns like this (duplicated the field to illustrate what I want):The information would flow from the bottom of the first column to the top of the second in my perfect world.2) Grouping within the field in Page DesignerI love being able to do this in the regular tables, and this particular list I need to have grouped by Department in the same way:So the table above that I want in 2 columns...I also want sub-grouped by Department. The simple sort by department is ok, but not ideal because I need this form to look like what my film guys are used to seeing. Any thoughts?Thanks!!  

Hi all, I’d appreciate some guidance on how can I change the filenames of my attachments. I have a table with 500 records. Every record has a name and multiple images (attachments). The attachments have identical file names in multiple records, e.g I might have a file called 1.jpg in one record, then a different attachment in a different record with the same name of1.jpg. I managed to find a script that does that, but it changes the name only for one attachment. I have a work date formula in the 'end date' column.IF(AND({Start Date},{SLA (days)}), WORKDAY({Start Date},{SLA (days)}))When someone changes the SLA number, start dates and end dates changed because I setup a dependency automation.However, I'm seeing that some of the end dates are on weekends even though there is a work day formula in the end date column. Any insight? Also including a screenshot of the dependency roll up. Thank you!

Hello friends, I’ve had an automation running correctly in the past. Today, I’m getting the following error" The Automation is simple: When Condition is Met > Send Gmail Email. I tried reconnecting my Gmail Account, but problem still isn’t solved. Clicking on Learn how to fix common issues doesn’t provide a solution. My assumption is that this is an external error to Airtable, but I haven’t changed a thing in Gmail to possibly cause an error to this automation. Any suggestions? Solutions? Thanks

I am building an automated script that fetches two properties from an external API and subsequently upserts those data points into distinct fields in Airtable. The input is a URL field in the relevant record, and entering a URL in the field triggers the script.So far, I've put together a getData() function that retrieves the data from the external API and stores it as two variables: name and owner.I'm stuck as to how I actually populate the fields. Hi all,Wanted to see if anyone had any ideas why the following isn't working.BackgroundI have a table of issues each with a specific codeI also have a table that takes form submissions for the yes/no output of questions in the form.When the a question is answered "yes" I want to create a link in a lookup field to the issues table to record the specific issue found.IssueUpon the form submission the automation I have set up only works for the first question. After the first question none of the other questions answered yes are linking to the specific record.Any ideas why this is?

I have a long text field where I copy source material. I have seen mentiononed ways to extract URLs with REGEX when they are written out in a text field, but occationaly links are copied in hyperlink form. Is there a way to extract the URL from the hyperlink?Ideally I would need a formula that can extract both hyperlink URLs and written URLs. If there is a way to only extract links from one, specified, domain as well, then that would be the ultimate cherry on top.

Hi there,Hoping someone can help with something I hope can be automated. I have multiple fields with numbers in, let's say:Field 1A: 100Field 1B: Field 2A: 250Field 2B:Field 3A: 500Field 3B:I then have a % field, based on which I would like an automation to populate the 'B' fields (as a % of the 'A' fields), when the % field is updated. The reason I would like to do this as an automation rather than formula is that I would like the B fields to be editable to allow for bespoke amounts. Usually, the % will be the same for all B fields (there are around 10), but not always. Therefore, if I enter 10% in the % field, the numbers will populate as follows:'B' columns as % of 'A' columns: 10%Field 1A: 100Field 1B: 10Field 2A: 250Field 2B: 25Field 3A: 500Field 3B: 50The only way I can think to do this would be to have a formula field for each one that sums the % by the 'A' field, then a manual override field, then an if formula that says "if({override field}="",{sum field},{override f

I'm afraid I don't love the new lefthand sidebar menu which is due to be rolled out next week. It takes up valuable space which would be better used for interface elements and data. The reduction in available space means that we'd need to redesign some interfaces, as data and field names are now truncated and don't display correctly.Perhaps it could be adjusted so the sidebar rolls out when the user hovers over the far left of the screen, or similar?

Hello,We are creating an interface that is filtered by collaborator is current user. But collaborators can be of 2 kinds (from a simple select: commercial and analyst).  And both fields have to appear in the record in the interface. So that a Commercial collaborator knows who is the analyst assigned to this process, and vice versa. And also, so that in the collaborator field only a Commercial collaborator can be chosen for that field, and only an Analyst can be chosen for the other field.We have tried to use linked fields to a different table with User, Type of user (commercial, analyst). And then we do get the right people in the right role... but of course, then you don't get the current user filter in the interface.Looking around and with many tries, we have found no way to do this.How would we be able to do this?
