I have a long text field where I copy source material. I have seen mentiononed ways to extract URLs with REGEX when they are written out in a text field, but occationaly links are copied in hyperlink form. Is there a way to extract the URL from the hyperlink?Ideally I would need a formula that can extract both hyperlink URLs and written URLs. If there is a way to only extract links from one, specified, domain as well, then that would be the ultimate cherry on top. 

Is it just me or is this the worst placed delete button ever? That's where the close button goes, guys... Good job there's an undo feature! 

Hi there,Hoping someone can help with something I hope can be automated. I have multiple fields with numbers in, let's say:Field 1A: 100Field 1B: Field 2A: 250Field 2B:Field 3A: 500Field 3B:I then have a % field, based on which I would like an automation to populate the 'B' fields (as a % of the 'A' fields), when the % field is updated. The reason I would like to do this as an automation rather than formula is that I would like the B fields to be editable to allow for bespoke amounts. Usually, the % will be the same for all B fields (there are around 10), but not always. Therefore, if I enter 10% in the % field, the numbers will populate as follows:'B' columns as % of 'A' columns: 10%Field 1A: 100Field 1B: 10Field 2A: 250Field 2B: 25Field 3A: 500Field 3B: 50The only way I can think to do this would be to have a formula field for each one that sums the % by the 'A' field, then a manual override field, then an if formula that says "if({override field}="",{sum field},{override f

I'm afraid I don't love the new lefthand sidebar menu which is due to be rolled out next week. It takes up valuable space which would be better used for interface elements and data. The reduction in available space means that we'd need to redesign some interfaces, as data and field names are now truncated and don't display correctly.Perhaps it could be adjusted so the sidebar rolls out when the user hovers over the far left of the screen, or similar?

Hello,We are creating an interface that is filtered by collaborator is current user. But collaborators can be of 2 kinds (from a simple select: commercial and analyst).  And both fields have to appear in the record in the interface. So that a Commercial collaborator knows who is the analyst assigned to this process, and vice versa. And also, so that in the collaborator field only a Commercial collaborator can be chosen for that field, and only an Analyst can be chosen for the other field.We have tried to use linked fields to a different table with User, Type of user (commercial, analyst). And then we do get the right people in the right role... but of course, then you don't get the current user filter in the interface.Looking around and with many tries, we have found no way to do this.How would we be able to do this?

Hello Airtable community!I have created a Jira integration with Airtable. There is a field for Sprint, however, if a ticket was included in more than one sprints, all sprints appears seperated by commas. I want to extract only the sprint that is the highest number. I tried doing this by taking the last one (with the RIGHT() function) but unfortunately the string is not always alpahbetically sorted within the cell. Please see below:Essentialy, I'm trying to find a way to extract the highest sprint. Any ideas how to either sort alphabetically within the cell or how to extract the highest using a formula? Hi. I am using the Find Records action to return what is frequently a more than 1 item long list of results.I understand that the results are returned in an array, so when I try and append the results to a Google Sheet, they will all be listed in the same Sheet row.Has someone figured out a way to create a new row for every record in the array? Or is there some completely different way of doing this?Thanks!

Howdy, I am trying to append my airtable records to a google sheet at regular intervals, including my last modified column. How can I get it to append the actual value, and not just the character length of the value. I’m getting results like 29, 30, 29, 29… for my rows instead of 8/18/2021 10:27:31 or whatever

I’m struggling for an hour to find a formula which COUNTS how many rows are there, therefore I have the exact numbers of the rows, which is the stock for each item. Thanks!

Hi! How do I individually concatenate fields if one of the fields is comma-separated? For example, I want to take “red, blue” and concatenate this with “shoe” to come up with ““red shoe”,“blue shoe”” with the quotation marks instead of “red, blue shoe”. Any ideas? Thank you in advance!

Hi everyone! I’m trying to work with the Vega-Lite extension to show sums of values in multiple fields in a stacked bar chart, but I haven’t been able to get a stacked bar graph to work correctly without manually creating a new “data” array of objects with values. For example: I’d like to be able to show something like “Jim worked for 0.5 hours on checking emails, 2 hours on code reviews, 1 hour on development, and 1.5 hours on assisting coworkers, for a total of 6 hours” as a stacked bar chart, where Jim has each number of hours as a different field on the table for a total of 4 fields and 4 bars stacked. Is this possible with Vega-Lite’s integration with Airtable, or even Vega-Lite as a whole? Or am I limited in either how many fields I can stack or how the table data is formatted? I'm I missing something or does the mobile app (iOS) ignore view information in Airtable url links? Scenario: I setup QR codes to pull up records in specific view for updating assets. On a web browser it works perfect but on the mobile app it always opens in whatever view was last used on that device and ignores the view referenced in the link. Also, is there no way to input/search on the mobile app via QR(camera), have to leave app switch to camera scan, then it reloads app very slow process forced to walk around with a laptop or use another tool to collect then upload, update via script

Hello,I am having a table in Airtable that contains a text field with dates. I imported a CSV files. And all dates were added as text field in a wrong format (MM/DD/YY). So I am basically looking for a way to: Convert these text date field to a real date field that is next to the column (so Column 1 with the text based date value should be copied to Column 2 with a date field)And in another column I want to change the date format (also text based) from MM/DD/YY to DD/MM/YYYY.How can I do this? Thanks for help, M.

I am using a customized version of the Employee onboarding Template base. The template seems to be set up to duplicate the base for every new hire that is being onboarded. I would like to use one base that generates a checklist for the employer onboarding tasks every time a new hire is created (I have a synced table with new hire records). I thought maybe I could use the new record templates feature, but the problem I'm encountering is that just linking tasks means that I can't use the "Complete" checkbox because it applies to the task record, not the task for a specific new hire. I hope this makes sense. Can anyone advise on how to make it so that everytime a new hire record is created, a series of tasks are created for that new hire specifically that can be used as a dynamic checklist?

Hi,I'm working with the NPM package to get data from tables which have lookup fields and I'm wondering if there's a way to ignore these lookup fields in the initial API call either by using some parameter or `filterByFormula`. I've checked the API documentation for my tables, checked the documentation for the Formula field and nothing seems to be able to filter by field type.EDIT: I guess the question can also become, is there a way to ignore fields when using the `base().select()` method? I have a list of the fields I want to ignore from the Base schema but can't find a way to ignore those fields. I can just drop them from the returned data afterwards but that is going to be fairly expensive as we're processing potentially tens of thousands and eventually millions of records. Thanks in advance,Thomas

I'm not sure if what I'm trying to do is possible, but here goes:I'm working off of an existing base template, and am trying to tweak one of the formulas that's in there. The existing formula is as follows:I would like to add one additional condition: if Equipment Status is "Unknown" the result is"❌ Not Available". Since this is pulling from a different field than the existing SWITCH formula, I can't add it in there; I've tried nesting another "If" within this formula, but that also doesn't seem to work. It may be that I simply can't do this, but if anyone has any ideas or suggestions, I'd appreciate it--I'm pretty new to Airtable formulas, and trying to figure out how best to leverage these formulas. How do I create s drop down list for a certain field, but as users fill in the table, they should only be able to use the options I selected on the drop down list, but not be able to add new options. How do I do that?

I am trying to send an automated message with outlook. I want to avoid using a hosted image from a URL, and have an inline image in the mail. Can anyone enlighten me what is going wrong?

So I have this automation set up so that if there's no email address where I expect it to be, it can try using another field - but it's getting hung up on the if step. Isn't that the whole point of an if->otherwise condition set up? 

Let's say I have 3 date columns namely Attempt #1, Attempt #2, and Attempt #3. I want to send Attempt #1 on May 1, 2023 --- then I want Airtable to automatically compute the next follow-up date (which is after 3 days). But if it falls on a weekend, I want it to automatically add the nearest weekday date available. The same goes for attempt #3, I want Airtable to compute the next follow-up date based on the date indicated in attempt #2. Is this possible? 

I extracted unique names of participants in my table by using the ARRAYUNIQUE formula in a field called {Progress Made BY}. This produced a list of unique names separated by commas in the {Progress Made BY} field, which is what I was looking for. I used this one instead of CONCATENATE because I had a couple of duplicate text strings. I then created an IF LEN SUBSTITUTE formula field called {# Participants Progress Made BY} to count the names separated by commas produced in the {Progress Made BY} formula field. IF({Progress Made BY},LEN({Progress Made BY})-LEN(SUBSTITUTE({Progress Made BY},",",""))+1) *Note that I had used this formula successfully in other tables to do the same thing, however the reference field in the other formula fields was a CONCATENATE formula field instead of an ARRAYUNIQUE formula field. I get an #ERROR message in the {# Participants Progress Made BY} field where there is data (separated by commas) in the {Progress Made BY} field in the record, and nothing retu
