Hello everyone,I want to allow a list of people (whose information are already stored in a table) to book different events in a Calendar they could access. The booking system would allow them to see all upcoming events, and register to the ones that we still have availabilities for (let's say 5 participants maximum per event for example).I had access to the "No-Conflict Asset Reservations" template, and it seems promising, but it implies that the Assets will be available 24/7, whereas I would like to let people choose among a list of pre-defined slots.All the registrants will be pre-existing records in my "People" tab. Ideally, I would like the process for them to be:They receive a unique link to a view/interface they can bookmark and share internally.They open this, and see the event they want to take part in. The number of participants is displayed next to an event, and only events where we still have slots remaining are visible. I am trying to write an IF function such that the condition in the statement is to look for the presence of a particular word in a multi-select column. If the word is present in the multi-select, the value-if-true should be displayed. In a multi-select column, there is a list of amenities: Airconditioning, Lounge, Studio, etc. I want to create a new formula column that looks for "Studio" in the multi-select column. If it is present then show Yes, if it's not show "No". Something like this: IF(Amenities="Studio", "Yes", "No"). This gives me the correct output if the only value selected is Studio. In the case where the column has "Lounge" and "Studio", I get No as the output. 

Hi,I'm trying to create a new table using CSV file with field name and data type only, without sample data using Airtable interface, not API. For ex, Field 1,Field 2,Field 3text,number,dateThe expected output is a table with three fields named “Field 1”, “Field 2”, and “Field 3”. The first field should be a text field, the second field should be a number field, and the third field should be a date field.However, instead of setting the data type for each field, the second row was treated as a record.I tried a different format and result is the same.  Row 1 is treated as field names, and rest of the rows below were records:Field Name,Data TypeName,Single line textEmail,EmailPhone,Phone numberAddress,AddressDate,DateStatus,Single selectNotes,Long textTruly Appreciate any help you can provide.

Hi, I am new (1 week) to Airtable.I have a Base with 2 tables. Table 1 has 1 Company field. Table 2 has 2 fields : Company and Database.Table 1 is filled with 200 records.Company1 / Database1Company1 / Database2Company1 / Database3Company2 / Database4Etc.....When I choose the Company Company1 in Table 2, then in the Database field I only want to see the records that are linked to Company1, namely Database1, Database2 and Database3.Is this possible!RegardsMichel

I have an Airtable table that I'm using as a library to organize many documents, most of which are PDFs. The organization features (tagging, categorizing, etc.) are all working great. However, Airtable's PDF viewer is just not nearly as good for me as my preferred open (Adobe's Chrome plugin).I used to be able to have a button or formula field that would allow me to open each record's attachment in the browser's default app by extracting the attachment's URL. However, I understand that attachment URLs now change frequently for security reasons, so this solution no longer works. How can I open a PDF attachment in my web browser rather than in Airtable's viewer? This seems like something that should be easy. Note that I can download the PDF and open it on my desktop as a second-best solution. 

Hello all, I was trying to optimize a website and reducing the size of the images and I ran into a problem which is not occurring in other projects. When converting the images to webp and uploading them to Airtable, Airtable is converting them back to PNG and feeding a 50KB file and making it 700KB. So I tried a few options and upon uploading smaller PNG’s in order not to have airtable convert, I noticed that a PNG file is 170KB yet, Airtable is still feeding it as a 700KB+ png file to my website. How is this possible? I have other projects using airtable and I can fetch webp files for starters with no issues. But with this project I don’t get webp, only PNG’s and they are also not the same size as the uploaded versions. I tried creating a new column and adding only webp files and the result is still the same. Any suggestions on what I can do? Thank you in advance.

Hey guys,This is driving my brains a bit nuts. I have a base for sales & stock management. In my sales base I have a Date field called INVOICE DATE and a LOOK UP FIELD for the Product's Latest Stocktake.The formula I am trying to achieve here is:IF Invoice Date is BEFORE last stock take (including time) then Result is 'BEFORE'IF Invoice Date is AFTER Last stock take then 'AFTER'IF Invoice Date is AFTER last stock take AND equals or higher than Today+7 days then 'FUTURE'If Last Stocktake is Blank then 'NO STOCK' So far this has worked the closest, although it doesn't have the NO STOCK option and it gets all messed up with I set times and timezones to the date fields.IF({Invoice Date}<{Last stocktake},"BEFORE",IF(AND({Invoice Date}>{Last stocktake},{Invoice Date}>=DATEADD(TODAY(),7,'days')),'FUTURE',IF({Invoice Date}>{Last stocktake},'AFTER'))) Can anyone help, please? 

I'm thinking that there would be a formula to calculate all the days in this pattern described below. But, I just can't seem to crack it.I have a scheduling base that I would like to group by month. But the beginning of this month grouping would need to start on the Monday that is on or before the 1st of the month. This way the grouping includes all 7 days of the 1st week. The monthly grouping would end on the last Sunday of the Month to include all days of the last week. Example: For June 2023... Jun 1st is on a Thursday. So the Grouping of June 2023 would start on the Monday before, May 29th. The grouping would include all rows from May 29th thru the last Sunday of the Month June 25th.Then the next grouping would start. The July 2023 grouping would include all dates from Monday Jun 26th until Sunday July 30th, and so on...The formula would label each row "Year Month#: Month Name" or "2023 06: June". Hi there! I’d appreciate any ideas about how to handle this data entry need: I have a form (external users) where one of the fields needs to collect assessor’s parcel numbers. Users tend to input this in very inconsistent formats, so I wanted to make this a multi-select or use a linked record from another table to force consistent formatting. However, there are about 29k potential parcel numbers to select from, and Airtable is not handling a CSV upload of these numbers into a new table (it crashes out even though the CSV is <2MB). I’d take all kinds of solutions, including: A way to add 29k options to a multi-select A better way to upload a single-column, 29k row table to use for linked records A way to force a 000-000-000 format for a text entry field (however, I’d need a way to have multiple parcel numbers entered with this format in this field, as each record could have multiple parcels listed) Or any other clever ideas about how to handle this to cut down on post-entry data cl

I have a lookup field that I use to pick what Client the new record in my Activities Base is for called ContactsIt auto populates the field record properly when I select the new clientHowever because you can't have the first field contain a Lookup (DUMB BTW especially for rollups and such) I have to put a formula to use the data from the lookup field record to do the rest of my workflow for the clientIt is putting the information in "" (see graphic) (Client field)It did not do that when I just used the old fields of First Name /Last name when I concatenated them (Concatenate field) which used to be the way until we moved into a separate table for Contact informationIs there something I missed in setting up the Account name field or the Contact Field to prevent the " " (quotes) from being shown?

I decided at one point to create an extra table to keep some additional records related to another table. What I did is to create a new table and add a column linking to the original table. So there is supposed to be a 1-1 relationship between the rows. Unfortunately, this has not worked out because when I update the main table, the linked table does not get updated. So I want to merge the data from the extra table back into the main table. That is easy to do outside of airtable because it is a simple table join. I did it in R in a few minutes. However, I am not sure about loading the merged table back into airtable as I think it will lose all the links to other table I setup.The main table looks like:ID (a formula), Year, Semester, Course, ...The extra table looks the same but beyond the first few columns (which together uniquely determine the row), it contains different data, e.g., enrollments, etc.Is there a way inside of airtable to merge the columns from the second table into the

The column name is too long and doesn't move to new lines when I shrink the column. Can you suggest a way to move part of the name to a different line? Thank you for any suggestions!

Hi everybody I have tried the iCal connector to Google Calendar. It is a very useful feature and I was very happy when I saw it but, unfortunately, it looks like Google is not properly updating the information. The first time you make the connection it works fine but afterwards, if you make changes in the database, these changes are not reflected in Google Calendar. If you try to connect it again you must introduce something new in the URL provided by Airtable so that Google Calendar understand it is a new Calendar and does not use the cache. So, the calendar is out of sync as soon as you change any information in the database. Althouhg I think this is a Google problem (there are some forum about it https://productforums.google.com/forum/#!topic/calendar/ixQnzHmWDSk), it would be fantastic if you could do something about it because this feature is something we have been looking for. Strange that I am not writing any data with reference to other records into reference fields. It's a simple form with text fields, number field, an email field, a phone field and a checkbox.No matter how I manipulate the form, this message comes up. The request as such is successfull.Has anyone experienced this?

Hello,I am trying to transform my wide format data to narrow format. The data is input into wide format because I am using a softr form for employees to give feedback on how the production cycle went and it is much easier for them to fill out a form that transmits to a wide data format. However, for analysing the results and presenting feedback I want the data in narrow format. I am trying to create an automation to do this but it is not working and I have tried linked formulas but have not achieved the desired effect. In the wide data format, the different quality out comes are each a separate field and I need to transform this into a single select field in the narrow data format table. The numbers for each quality outcome must become quantities in the narrow format.The problems with the automation are: It triggers too fast and I get several empty records in the narrow format table so I have tried to delay the automation with a script but that does not work at all.Also, sometimes the

Dear All,Im trying to create a formula where if an someone starts before the 15th of the month then return the 1st of that month. If they start on the 15th or after then return the 1st of the following month.I have created the below nested IF statement but only the first IF statement appears to be working. For start date equal to or greater than the 15th it is giving me the 1st of the month and not the first of the next month.Please advise  IF(DATETIME_DIFF({Role Start Date},'days'<15),DATEADD(DATETIME_FORMAT({Role Start Date},'YYYY-MM'),0,'months'),IF(DATETIME_DIFF({Role Start Date},'days'>=15),DATEADD(DATETIME_FORMAT({Role Start Date},'YYYY-MM'),1,'months')))  

Group by field is not showing a "Summary" in the interfaces graphs. Instead, show each individual record. It seems that it is a bug since the last update of Airtable, since before it worked without problems.The correct behavior that I expect is that when hovering the cursor you can see the total grouped by status and not the value of each record.

I am trying to make a linking automation. Our records in Table 1 do not all exactly match records in Table 2. I am using an Long Text field to create a list of other numbers I would like the automation to look for when linking.The problem is that using the Find Records function has the options to find a record that "is"(which wont work because im using a list) or "contains"(which will find records that dont exactly match. EX: 2118-1 will match with 2118-1.1 or 2118-11) Is there any ways around this?  

Hi folks - I have an application review process set up in Airtable and we're using an interface as the review experience and then a series of automations to process the applications based on the scoring from the reviewers. We need a reviewer to be able to batch process multiple applications at once by clicking a button on the interface which then triggers an automation with multiple action steps (see the attached screenshot of the automation). The input for the repeating group is a list of records and when I tested that, it pulls the correct records. But for some reason, when the button on the interface is pressed, it only processes one record at a time and does not repeat the action steps for all records in the list. Any ideas why this isn't working?

I have a formula that worked but I decided to go and mess with it.I have a Date field that is the date of the task actionI have a Days to next action field to add to Date field to define next time to attempt the task (normally a callback)I have a Next Task Date formula field that shows the Date for the next task based on Date + Number of Days  - and it was nicely workingThe formula in the Next Task Date field looked like this - DATEADD({Date }, {Days to next action}, 'days')However I don't want the formula to put anything in the Next Task Date if the Numbers of days is blankHere is my current formulaIf ({Days to next action}=BLANK(), DATEADD({Date }, {Days to next action}, 'days'))It's failing and I can't figure out why.Thanks in advance for helping
