Hi everyone! I’m trying to work with the Vega-Lite extension to show sums of values in multiple fields in a stacked bar chart, but I haven’t been able to get a stacked bar graph to work correctly without manually creating a new “data” array of objects with values. For example: I’d like to be able to show something like “Jim worked for 0.5 hours on checking emails, 2 hours on code reviews, 1 hour on development, and 1.5 hours on assisting coworkers, for a total of 6 hours” as a stacked bar chart, where Jim has each number of hours as a different field on the table for a total of 4 fields and 4 bars stacked. Is this possible with Vega-Lite’s integration with Airtable, or even Vega-Lite as a whole? Or am I limited in either how many fields I can stack or how the table data is formatted? I'm I missing something or does the mobile app (iOS) ignore view information in Airtable url links? Scenario: I setup QR codes to pull up records in specific view for updating assets. On a web browser it works perfect but on the mobile app it always opens in whatever view was last used on that device and ignores the view referenced in the link. Also, is there no way to input/search on the mobile app via QR(camera), have to leave app switch to camera scan, then it reloads app very slow process forced to walk around with a laptop or use another tool to collect then upload, update via script

Hello,I am having a table in Airtable that contains a text field with dates. I imported a CSV files. And all dates were added as text field in a wrong format (MM/DD/YY). So I am basically looking for a way to: Convert these text date field to a real date field that is next to the column (so Column 1 with the text based date value should be copied to Column 2 with a date field)And in another column I want to change the date format (also text based) from MM/DD/YY to DD/MM/YYYY.How can I do this? Thanks for help, M.

I am using a customized version of the Employee onboarding Template base. The template seems to be set up to duplicate the base for every new hire that is being onboarded. I would like to use one base that generates a checklist for the employer onboarding tasks every time a new hire is created (I have a synced table with new hire records). I thought maybe I could use the new record templates feature, but the problem I'm encountering is that just linking tasks means that I can't use the "Complete" checkbox because it applies to the task record, not the task for a specific new hire. I hope this makes sense. Can anyone advise on how to make it so that everytime a new hire record is created, a series of tasks are created for that new hire specifically that can be used as a dynamic checklist?

Hi,I'm working with the NPM package to get data from tables which have lookup fields and I'm wondering if there's a way to ignore these lookup fields in the initial API call either by using some parameter or `filterByFormula`. I've checked the API documentation for my tables, checked the documentation for the Formula field and nothing seems to be able to filter by field type.EDIT: I guess the question can also become, is there a way to ignore fields when using the `base().select()` method? I have a list of the fields I want to ignore from the Base schema but can't find a way to ignore those fields. I can just drop them from the returned data afterwards but that is going to be fairly expensive as we're processing potentially tens of thousands and eventually millions of records. Thanks in advance,Thomas

I'm not sure if what I'm trying to do is possible, but here goes:I'm working off of an existing base template, and am trying to tweak one of the formulas that's in there. The existing formula is as follows:I would like to add one additional condition: if Equipment Status is "Unknown" the result is"❌ Not Available". Since this is pulling from a different field than the existing SWITCH formula, I can't add it in there; I've tried nesting another "If" within this formula, but that also doesn't seem to work. It may be that I simply can't do this, but if anyone has any ideas or suggestions, I'd appreciate it--I'm pretty new to Airtable formulas, and trying to figure out how best to leverage these formulas. How do I create s drop down list for a certain field, but as users fill in the table, they should only be able to use the options I selected on the drop down list, but not be able to add new options. How do I do that?

I am trying to send an automated message with outlook. I want to avoid using a hosted image from a URL, and have an inline image in the mail. This help page shows this is possible by inserting a “render at html” grid or a list, but I can’t make it work: https://support.airtable.com/hc/en-us/articles/360051028394#:~:text=How%20can%20I,your%20HTML%20tags Instead of the image appearing, I get either a ticked checkbox or the name of the field. Can anyone enlighten me what is going wrong?

So I have this automation set up so that if there's no email address where I expect it to be, it can try using another field - but it's getting hung up on the if step. Isn't that the whole point of an if->otherwise condition set up? 

Let's say I have 3 date columns namely Attempt #1, Attempt #2, and Attempt #3. I want to send Attempt #1 on May 1, 2023 --- then I want Airtable to automatically compute the next follow-up date (which is after 3 days). But if it falls on a weekend, I want it to automatically add the nearest weekday date available. The same goes for attempt #3, I want Airtable to compute the next follow-up date based on the date indicated in attempt #2. Is this possible? 

I extracted unique names of participants in my table by using the ARRAYUNIQUE formula in a field called {Progress Made BY}. This produced a list of unique names separated by commas in the {Progress Made BY} field, which is what I was looking for. I used this one instead of CONCATENATE because I had a couple of duplicate text strings. I then created an IF LEN SUBSTITUTE formula field called {# Participants Progress Made BY} to count the names separated by commas produced in the {Progress Made BY} formula field. IF({Progress Made BY},LEN({Progress Made BY})-LEN(SUBSTITUTE({Progress Made BY},",",""))+1) *Note that I had used this formula successfully in other tables to do the same thing, however the reference field in the other formula fields was a CONCATENATE formula field instead of an ARRAYUNIQUE formula field. I get an #ERROR message in the {# Participants Progress Made BY} field where there is data (separated by commas) in the {Progress Made BY} field in the record, and nothing retu

I'm trying to get this formula to calculate the difference between the date 'today' and the date in the field 'End date', then stay blank if it it's more than 10 days but return 'Yes' if it's 10 days or less. Hello, I have the table that is pulling information from other table using lookup fields. However, unless I manually assign the initial pull-down record, it wont find any previous information. I am trying to use automation to fix that.I attempted to link record based on  this article however it does not do what I want it to do. The goal is simple. I have Table A, it contains names and all the associated information with those names. I am adding the lookup fields from other Table B, and I want to see what information it contains. I need to connect these two, so the lookup field from Table B that initialises all the following references automatically assigns to Table A field. I tried "Update the Record" and "Find" and then "Update", but it doesnt seem to work. Any help is appreciated!

The booking system would allow them to see all upcoming events, and register to the ones that we still have availabilities for (let's say 5 participants maximum per event for example).I had access to the "No-Conflict Asset Reservations" template, and it seems promising, but it implies that the Assets will be available 24/7, whereas I would like to let people choose among a list of pre-defined slots.All the registrants will be pre-existing records in my "People" tab. I am trying to write an IF function such that the condition in the statement is to look for the presence of a particular word in a multi-select column. If the word is present in the multi-select, the value-if-true should be displayed. In a multi-select column, there is a list of amenities: Airconditioning, Lounge, Studio, etc. I want to create a new formula column that looks for "Studio" in the multi-select column. If it is present then show Yes, if it's not show "No". Something like this: IF(Amenities="Studio", "Yes", "No"). This gives me the correct output if the only value selected is Studio. In the case where the column has "Lounge" and "Studio", I get No as the output.

Hi, I am new (1 week) to Airtable.I have a Base with 2 tables. Table 1 has 1 Company field. Table 2 has 2 fields : Company and Database.Table 1 is filled with 200 records.Company1 / Database1Company1 / Database2Company1 / Database3Company2 / Database4Etc.....When I choose the Company Company1 in Table 2, then in the Database field I only want to see the records that are linked to Company1, namely Database1, Database2 and Database3.Is this possible!RegardsMichel

I have an Airtable table that I'm using as a library to organize many documents, most of which are PDFs. The organization features (tagging, categorizing, etc.) are all working great. However, Airtable's PDF viewer is just not nearly as good for me as my preferred open (Adobe's Chrome plugin).I used to be able to have a button or formula field that would allow me to open each record's attachment in the browser's default app by extracting the attachment's URL. However, I understand that attachment URLs now change frequently for security reasons, so this solution no longer works. How can I open a PDF attachment in my web browser rather than in Airtable's viewer? This seems like something that should be easy. Note that I can download the PDF and open it on my desktop as a second-best solution. 

Hello all, I was trying to optimize a website and reducing the size of the images and I ran into a problem which is not occurring in other projects. When converting the images to webp and uploading them to Airtable, Airtable is converting them back to PNG and feeding a 50KB file and making it 700KB. So I tried a few options and upon uploading smaller PNG’s in order not to have airtable convert, I noticed that a PNG file is 170KB yet, Airtable is still feeding it as a 700KB+ png file to my website. How is this possible? I have other projects using airtable and I can fetch webp files for starters with no issues. But with this project I don’t get webp, only PNG’s and they are also not the same size as the uploaded versions. I tried creating a new column and adding only webp files and the result is still the same. Any suggestions on what I can do? Thank you in advance.

Hey guys,This is driving my brains a bit nuts. I have a base for sales & stock management. In my sales base I have a Date field called INVOICE DATE and a LOOK UP FIELD for the Product's Latest Stocktake.The formula I am trying to achieve here is:IF Invoice Date is BEFORE last stock take (including time) then Result is 'BEFORE'IF Invoice Date is AFTER Last stock take then 'AFTER'IF Invoice Date is AFTER last stock take AND equals or higher than Today+7 days then 'FUTURE'If Last Stocktake is Blank then 'NO STOCK' So far this has worked the closest, although it doesn't have the NO STOCK option and it gets all messed up with I set times and timezones to the date fields.IF({Invoice Date}<{Last stocktake},"BEFORE",IF(AND({Invoice Date}>{Last stocktake},{Invoice Date}>=DATEADD(TODAY(),7,'days')),'FUTURE',IF({Invoice Date}>{Last stocktake},'AFTER'))) Can anyone help, please? 

I'm thinking that there would be a formula to calculate all the days in this pattern described below. But, I just can't seem to crack it.I have a scheduling base that I would like to group by month. But the beginning of this month grouping would need to start on the Monday that is on or before the 1st of the month. This way the grouping includes all 7 days of the 1st week. The monthly grouping would end on the last Sunday of the Month to include all days of the last week. Example: For June 2023... Jun 1st is on a Thursday. So the Grouping of June 2023 would start on the Monday before, May 29th. The grouping would include all rows from May 29th thru the last Sunday of the Month June 25th.Then the next grouping would start. The July 2023 grouping would include all dates from Monday Jun 26th until Sunday July 30th, and so on...The formula would label each row "Year Month#: Month Name" or "2023 06: June". This keeps the groups in chronological order.Thanks in advance if anyone has sug
