Hi all,I've got a table of dates called "Possible event dates" that gets linked to other columns including "Dates table" as shown below.The problem is that the link seems to be setting the time back an hour, as though they were set to different time zones, but it's not clear from the field settings how this is happening.Any ideas? Hi all, My scripting ability is pretty basic, so bear with me. I’m trying to automatically update linked records based whenever a record in a table is updated. Basically as follows. We have a table called “Jobs in Progress”, and each record in that table has separate records attached from time to time in another table called “Tasks”. It isn’t uncommon to have several records in “tasks” linked to one record in “jobs in progress”. Records in “Jobs in progress” have a checkbox called “completed” which is either manually or automatically selected depending on several conditions. Records in tasks also have a checkbox called “completed”, which are usually manually checked. What I would like to achieve is that if any record in “Jobs in progress” has the “completed” checkbox checked (true), that any linked records in the “Tasks” table with the “completed” checkbox unchecked, update so that they are checked, or true as well. I have a table called Job Codes/Job Titles. I listed the job codes (numbers) in the primary field and then the job titles in the secondary field. In another table I added the Job Codes/Job Titles as a linked field. I want the ability to look up a Job Code (in this linked field) by its Job Title in case I can't remember the Job Code.  Right now I have to start typing in the Job Code number (but we have hundreds of Job Codes). Is there a way to do this other than making the Job Title the primary field?For instance, I may have a job code 0004 with a job title Academic Intern. In the linked field Job Codes/Job Titles I want to be able to start typing in Academic Intern and have it bring up both the job code (primary) and title (secondary).Thanks for your thoughts.

Using the Auto-number type field can be great, but it is also very limiting when you need to start with a certain number in particular. And if you create a record and then delete it, the next record you create will not have that deleted record's number, but the next one in sequence. For this Project Tracker, the client started using Airtable for job # 2000 (and they have a hundred more after that), which means they created 1000 EMPTY records just so that they could get to the real data at # 2000+. It's also no good to go out of order, so if anyone accidentally creates and then deletes a job, their list of jobs is not sequential. Yes, we can limit record creation with permissions, but I want to know if there is another way I can automatically create the next job record and set its number by finding the highest number used and adding 1 to it. Hey guys,I've got a base that tracks books in a small library.  I need to create a field that extracts the last 3 digits of the author's last name and it has become very complicated, haha.Example author names:John BunyanC.S. LewisAlister E. McGrathC. Everett KoopDr. William Lindner Jr.Authors very often have prefixes like Dr. or Rev. and they like including initials and suffixes, too - lol!So how do I build a formula that will pull the last 3 letters of the last name like this:John Bunyan = BUNC.S. Lewis = LEWAlister E. McGrath = MCGC. Everett Koop = KOODr. William Lindner Jr. = LINThis gets me very close:   UPPER(LEFT(REPLACE({Author(s)},1,FIND("~",SUBSTITUTE({Author(s)}," ","~",LEN({Author(s)}) - LEN(SUBSTITUTE({Author(s)}," ","")))),""), 3))  ...but it breaks with suffixes 😞Can anyone help me tweak it to work with suffixes???Thanks so much for any help!

Hello!I automatically retrieve a list of sales directly in Airtable via Zapier, problematic, the price is sent "raw" from zapier with a lot of "0", like that : 16000 for 160So I created a formula to remove them :LEFT(raw_price, LEN(raw_price) - 2) And it works 🙂Now, I am looking to create a new formula, in a new field to get the currency and be able to add the sales.Any idea ? 🙂

I was creating a new base and went to add in a synced table from our main data set and got the above error. Has anyone seen this before and know how to fix it? We are on the Enterprise plan and as far as we are aware there are no limits on synced views

Hi,I am attempting to build an automation that will help assign a student to the specified time slot.I have 2 tables, 1 of which is for trial arrangement, and another for enrolled students.Both these tables have the following fields:Day, Timeslot, Coach, Location.I have another table for the available slots.There are 6 records with the exact same Day, Timeslot, Coach, Location. (each timeslot can have up to 6 students (regardless of trial or enrolled))When a child is about to enroll for example, a button will be pressed, triggering a webhook to integromat/make.com, which will get information of the record.How can I make integromat/make.com find this slot if it is available, to assign the student to?I've tried doing a search, but it seems my formula might be incorrect, as it returns with a 0 bundle

The script works well and the new contacts are being created with all of the relevant text fields in the new table.My issues began when I tried populating other types of fields.. I want to write a formula to automatically note "Active" in a column when the position start date is before today and the position end date is greater than today OR when the position start date is before today and the position end date is blank. Here is how I'm trying to write it. The first part of the formula worked- it populates the cells in the column with the word "Active" for those whose position start date is prior to today, and whose end date is greater than today. When I try to add in the OR part- where position start date is less than today, and position end date is blank, I get an error. This works: IF(AND({Position start date} <= TODAY() , {Position End Date} >= TODAY()) , "active" ) But this does not:IF(AND({Position start date} <= TODAY() , {Position End Date} >= TODAY()) OR(AND({Position start date} <= TO

Hi all, I'm stuck as to what to do here. Hoping someone can help. I THINK a formula should be able to do this? Essentially I want to create a view that shows me only the records that have a zip code that matches a zip code of another record. I was playing around with the DeDupe app, but that merges records, which isn't what I want. I want to keep the records, but I want a view that lets me easily view where the duplicates are. Is there a way to prefill a form that updates the existing row?

After using AirTable for a few years to manage some operations of our company, I want to also use it for invoicing.As per our local regulations, this needs to be done via an approved platform. The platform that we are using integrates with Zapier and Make, so connecting between Airtable and the platform is very easy.However, I'm trying to make things a bit more complicated, and would like to know if its possible:1. Pushing a button / trigger for a record to call the automation and create the document.2. Retrieving the document via URL / Location on Google Drive and saving it as an attachment for the record.

The Airtable pricing page says that the Free plan includes up to 5 creators/editors and unlimited commenters and read-only users. Do those apply to the Plus and Pro plans? If not, why not? Am trying to get Airtable a paying customer and can probs get my client to go from paying $0/month to $10/month but they need those commenters and 1 creator (that’s me). I know that Enterprise is the latest and greatest thing, but they can’t afford $10K/year. Thanks so much.

To explain my project, I have two tables :- A "Movies" table that stores a list of movies, one of the fields in this table is an Attachment field that contains the movie poster image.- A "Catalogs" table that has a link to the "Movies" table.The goal of my project is to create catalogs by selecting the movies I want to include using the link to field, and then, by clicking a button, launch a Make scenario that retrieves the selected movie list and generates a catalog in PDF format using Eledo. I have data that essentially looks like this:I want to use a formula to populate the last column with the type (in my example, food) based on whether or not other cells in the row are greater than 0. So IF (column A, B or C is >0, return "Fruit") AND IF (Column D>0, return "Fungus" and so on). I can get it to return one of the types but not all. Ideally they would be separated by a comma.I also sometimes have a blank cell and sometimes I have a 0. I know I can do a simple IF statement and have columns for each type, but is there a way to do this in one column?  Thank you for your patience, I am new to airtable and airtable formulas!

Hi everyoneI've come up against a limitation and I'm wondering if there might be a creative workaround for it using linked records and/or multi-select options.The problem is that when you have a base with multiple collaborators, if you have a "record comments" box in an interface, there's no way to limit which other users that collaborators can send @ comments to.  I'm building a platform that will involve multiple clients from different companies collaborating within the same base.  It's no issue restricting which records they can see based on filters by "current user" etc, but this option doesn't seem to be available for comments.  I think there may be a way to link users to records of other people just in the same company as them, and then use a multi-select option instead of the collaborators list you get when you type "@" to allow users just to select the names of colleagues, and then a checkbox or button that posts their comment.Has anyone ever done this?&nbsp

I need help - my CSV file is downloading the line breaks in my long text fields - I tried to eliminate them running >REGEX_REPLACE for \r, \n, \r\n, u2028, u2029, u0085, u00B6This took care of most of the line breaks but there are still 2 stubborn line breaks I cannot beat HELP!

Thanks in advance for your support.Right now I have several tables in a database, one of the tables contains the events that occur, and another table contains the types of events that exist (in order to count them). The question is, how can I count only the events that have occurred in a specific month or have been involved in that month? For example, if I want to know the number of events that have occurred in May, but an event started in April and ended in June, it is not going to count if I use a conditional which searchs for event started or ended in May.Do you have any ideas of how to implement it? 

This is driving me nuts. I have a long text field (rich text turned off) that seems to have multiple line breaks. Formula I used was Substitute(Field,“\n”,“”) and while it seems to work it also doesn’t. I tried with putting in a value instead of “” so I could see it working and it is working but also airtable seems to be keeping paragraphs anyway. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hello,This is my first day with Airtable and I have a question. Ill be importing data via a webhook. Just one location per import (or filled out form that is imported to my Airtable). I I've connected each location to a individual ID for future export. I connected the ID's to all possible locations to choose from, and I want the ID for the imported location to show up besides it. However the ID's dont show up automatically.Probably a bit of a messy explanation, so here are some pictures:The first picture is where I want the ID's to show up. So beside the "ort" column is the "ort ID". I added this ID manually to make it more clear. On the second picture are all the possible "ort" and their respective ID's. So when importing a "ort" from my website form (automatically) I want Airtable to pull the correct ID from the other table and display it beside the "ort" on the first place. How do I do that?
