Hello everyone,I would like to run an automation to keep track of the previous values of a cell so that I can see how inventory is being withdrawn from the database and have a correct running tally of inventory items.Currently my airtable is set up like this.The quantity removed field is constantly updated as product is removed. I would like to have the sum or some record of all the values ever written into this field in the previously removed field. I have tried formulas but I keep running into circular references. Therefore I am trying to create an automation which will add the new the new value entered to the quantity removed field to the previously removed field value.For example: on the first day Quantity removed is entered from softr and now has the value 15 for a particular product. Therefore previously removed should be 15. On the second day another entry is made to the Quantity removed (value 20). Now the previously removed value should be 35.This must all happen to the s

I am trying to create an automation that updates all records in a table at a specific interval. The automation needs to look a single select field and based on what it is set to update another single select field.The automation works when the trigger is update or create, but the time interval trigger is eluding me.The automation is set to run every 15 minutes, and it looks for specific records. But How do we tell it to update individual records from the list it found?

Hello all, I'm working with formulas, but got stuck on something. What I'm trying to accomplish here is simple, but not sure how to formulate it. I have a linking record for an invoice for NET Terms: NET15, 30 etc. I have the formula set up, but I want that converted into a date format rather than what I have.  IF({TERM}="NET15", "15 Days from 'Due Date'", IF( {TERM}="NET30", "30 days from 'Due Date'" ) )  Simple, but this is the output:Pretty simple, however I was testing the formula, and for invoice structure - I wanted a date format approach. So If NET15, then have the "Due Date" 15 days BASED off of the "Date" field. I don't know how I'd structure that, but that's the primary goal. Instead of showcasing "15 days from 'Due Date'", I'd rather it show a date format. EX: Date: 7/9/2023 Due Date: 7/24/2023 TERM: NET15Any advice would be helpful! Thanks.

Hi,I want to send forms to end users, using a link sent via mail.the link contains data that should be uploaded to the form with info relevant to specific users.I created the URL to the form successfully, but when I send the mail, the user receives it as a text and not hyperlink.the link to the form is very long, so I suspect that this is the reason it doesn't become active.Any Ideas on how to approach this issue?ThanksNitai

I'm building a base that users can copy, and I notice all my tables, records, fields, and extensions copy over when I create a template of that base. However, I'd like the templated base to include the automations I built, plus the interfaces if possible. (Honestly, the automations are more important.) I've poked around the Community and even asked ChatGPT (which swears this built-in functionality is possible in Airtable, but I can't find it!).I see other topics in the Community related to duplicating bases (and thereby duplicating automations) but this base template will be set up for other users to use as a starting point, and they wouldn't have access to the backend of my Airtable system.Thanks for any guidance!

Hi, I've searched for an answer but haven't found anything posted recently. Thanks for any help.Simple question. I'm looking for records daily at 3 p.m. that meet certain conditions. If I find them, I send an email with the records. But is there a way to do nothing if I don't find anything that matches the conditions? Will the automation automatically abort if conditions are not met? I don't want to send blank emails. Thank you.

Hello!So i was wondering if it was possible to create a formula (or combine formulas) in order to use the data from one date field and add 7 days to it in another. and then filter it if the project status matches certain conditions.I got the first part to work using: DATEADD({Project Date}, 7, "days") which worked perfectly,  but im not sure if its possible to then have it say "not needed" or even have it be blank if the project type matches certain conditions and still show the date if it matches other conditions! I also tried this:IF(OR({Project Type} = "Wedding",{Project Type} = "Elopement"),DATEADD({Project Date}, 7, "days"),IF(AND(OR({Project Type} = "Couples",{Project Type} = "Family"),"Not Needed","Not Needed"))) which kinda worked but it only filled in the wedding date status and not of the other options. Let me know if that makes sense and if you can help please 🙂

Hello,I have a formula column where I dynamically build a string of characters. Everything is fine to build the new string.However, when I copy and paste (Command-C) the cell, I end up with a character " added at the beginning and end of the new string but also, by consequence, in the middle of my content if it detects a " character.It automatically doubles it! GrrrHow can I eliminate this problem? Thanks for your help. I am getting crazy.

I've seen some posts regarding this same issue, but no recent workable solutions so I'm posting again. This automation hasn't run for a few weeks (since June 😎 and no changes were made but it's no longer working. The step failing is sending an email. I get a message: "An attachment url is disallowed". The entire automation goes like this:1. When X form is submitted (including Z attachment)2. Find record (where record ID matches record ID)3. Send an email to Y email address with Z attachment (from X form submission). I have a "Person" table that has birth date. On another table, I lookup that birthdate to find the person's current age when "Event" happened. Next year, a new "Event" will have different age for the person (as they are a year older). But I need to know what age they were at each "Event"So how do I create a column of ages that are dynamic on entry, but don't change once they are entered?

New to Airtable and it's formulas - what I'm trying to do is create a simple Hours of Operation setup where a user can select the days of the week a business is open (stored in Open Days), add the open hours for each day, then combine the values to show the complete hours of operation (combined in Hours of Operation field). I'm starting with just Monday and Tuesday and I don't seem to be able to put two IF formulas within the same record. Only the Monday IF/FIND formula works and not the Tuesday. If I delete the Monday portion and leave the Tuesday, then the Tuesday portion works. That's what makes me think that you can only have a single IF formula (as well as nested IFs) and not more than one. I included screenshots and my formulas. Hello! I'm new to Airtable and trying to create a formula field based on a date field. The formula should add 1 year to the date (the easy part), then round up to the half year beginning January 1 or July 1. For example,  5/15/23 would calculate 7/1/24; and 10/2/23 would calculate 1/1/25. Any and all help is appreciated!

Hi I cannot figure out how to, if it is even possible, to update a specific field ( which is currently blank ), with specified text, which is appended on to the back of another fields data, within the same record, when a third field matches a certain condition. A bit of a tongue twister, apologies. For example :I have 3 fields, namely status, name and surname.First field :  Status Second field : surname Third field : left blank The first field ( status ) is populated with Awaiting order completion. The second field ( surname ), is populated with deer.  Every time I change the status to order complete, I would like the third field ( which is blank ), to be auto populated with the second fields data ( surname ), deer in this instance, and have specified text appended. Hey guys,I'm trying to set up an easy way to track budgets within my club. There are multiple subteams in the club with each their own budget, and I want them to be able to submit orders to me so that I can place them and then have a live update on a total of how much each team has spent. I want it set up where if I select a checkbox, that means that order price gets added to the total spent in another tab.I am running into the issue where if any of the checkboxes are selected then all the payment totals get summed at once rather than just the singular order I checked. Also, if I ever uncheck a box, I want that to also be reflected. I'll leave a video below with some of my issue to clear it up.

Title pretty much says it all.  I found the article covering how to create a GCal automation in general.  I don't see anywhere in here where you can specify that, for instance, all invited attendees should be able to edit the event or add more attendees.  From what I can see playing around in GCal's native web client, you can set a default property for the client that when creating events in any calendar you have access to, it should use a particular setting for attendee access level:This is a "General" setting, not a setting belonging to any of your individual calendars.So I'm pretty sure if you wanted to have events get created with any setting other than making attendees read-only, that change needs to come from the client side, i.e. AirTable needs to enable choosing this setting in the Automation.
