Hi,I have an event list that contains a Start Day column including time (needed in some instances, but often left as 0:00). As I would like a simplified view in some interfaces, I created a formula column to display the date without the time using the formula:DATETIME_FORMAT({Start Day}, 'DD MMM YYYY')However, the formula returns the wrong day, in fact Day -1. I imagine this is due to the 0:00 time being read wrong? Any suggestions to circumvent? Adding a formula to just +1 the day would probably not work for the events in which time is indicated.Thanks! 

Hello, I have a table whose fields are mostly file attachments. when I 'send record' via email, the attachment resolution decreases and images are pixelated upon zooming. Also the file names are being changed from the original names.Are there workarounds?

I have a field that links to another table (Initiatives) in my Budget table. In my interface, I'm trying to filter certain components by which ones have a certain initiative in that field. But, when I go to add an initiative to the filter, nothing shows up, so I can't actually filter by it.Does anyone know why this might be happening? Trying to use anything other than "has any of" seems to make me have to type it (and still nothing shows up), and I'd rather it be more like a drop-down.Thanks! 

For the Free version I only have 1 base for my social media calendar. Can i have 4 collaborators that can edit and comment without upgrading. This is the only thing I’m using Airtable for.

Hello, for the past few days, we've been getting fails on automated tweets. This seems like an error on Airtable side, right? Is everybody experiencing this now? This shouldn't be about crossed limits, as the limit is based on the connected account right? So it has to be that AT still uses the API v1.1 as opposed the v2.0 version?Thanks!

Hello Airtable world, We’re trying to extract customer’s names from a lookup field of a synced table where the names sometimes include a second name after the comma. Our data usually looks like this: John Smith Jane Doe, Terry Doe James Bond We’d like to be able to have a column that displays the following: John Smith Jane Doe James Bond So far we’ve tried the functions below, both returning and error. IF({Customer's Name}, REGEX_EXTRACT({Customer's Name}, "[^,]*")) LEFT({Customer's Name}, FIND(",", {Customer's Name}) -1) The number of characters is unpredictable both, before and after the comma. I suspect the biggest issue is that our primary field from which we’re hoping to pull information is a lookup field and not just simple text. Is there a solution to achieving this?

In my template table I have a lookup field that is formatted as currency. In the child table I have the same field with the same formatting, but I'm getting an "root must be a number" error when I run the script. I'm guessing this needs to be modified in some way because of the lookup field issue, but I'm not sure how: 'templateRate': c.getCellValue('Rate')

Hi all,I've got a table of dates called "Possible event dates" that gets linked to other columns including "Dates table" as shown below.The problem is that the link seems to be setting the time back an hour, as though they were set to different time zones, but it's not clear from the field settings how this is happening.Any ideas? Hi all, My scripting ability is pretty basic, so bear with me. I’m trying to automatically update linked records based whenever a record in a table is updated. Basically as follows. We have a table called “Jobs in Progress”, and each record in that table has separate records attached from time to time in another table called “Tasks”. It isn’t uncommon to have several records in “tasks” linked to one record in “jobs in progress”. Records in “Jobs in progress” have a checkbox called “completed” which is either manually or automatically selected depending on several conditions. Records in tasks also have a checkbox called “completed”, which are usually manually checked. What I would like to achieve is that if any record in “Jobs in progress” has the “completed” checkbox checked (true), that any linked records in the “Tasks” table with the “completed” checkbox unchecked, update so that they are checked, or true as well. I have a table called Job Codes/Job Titles. I listed the job codes (numbers) in the primary field and then the job titles in the secondary field. In another table I added the Job Codes/Job Titles as a linked field. I want the ability to look up a Job Code (in this linked field) by its Job Title in case I can't remember the Job Code.  Right now I have to start typing in the Job Code number (but we have hundreds of Job Codes). Is there a way to do this other than making the Job Title the primary field?For instance, I may have a job code 0004 with a job title Academic Intern. In the linked field Job Codes/Job Titles I want to be able to start typing in Academic Intern and have it bring up both the job code (primary) and title (secondary).Thanks for your thoughts.

Using the Auto-number type field can be great, but it is also very limiting when you need to start with a certain number in particular. And if you create a record and then delete it, the next record you create will not have that deleted record's number, but the next one in sequence. For this Project Tracker, the client started using Airtable for job # 2000 (and they have a hundred more after that), which means they created 1000 EMPTY records just so that they could get to the real data at # 2000+. It's also no good to go out of order, so if anyone accidentally creates and then deletes a job, their list of jobs is not sequential. Yes, we can limit record creation with permissions, but I want to know if there is another way I can automatically create the next job record and set its number by finding the highest number used and adding 1 to it. Everett KoopDr. William Lindner Jr.Authors very often have prefixes like Dr. or Rev. and they like including initials and suffixes, too - lol!So how do I build a formula that will pull the last 3 letters of the last name like this:John Bunyan = BUNC.S. Hello!I automatically retrieve a list of sales directly in Airtable via Zapier, problematic, the price is sent "raw" from zapier with a lot of "0", like that : 16000 for 160So I created a formula to remove them :LEFT(raw_price, LEN(raw_price) - 2) And it works 🙂Now, I am looking to create a new formula, in a new field to get the currency and be able to add the sales.Any idea ? 🙂

I was creating a new base and went to add in a synced table from our main data set and got the above error. Has anyone seen this before and know how to fix it? We are on the Enterprise plan and as far as we are aware there are no limits on synced views

Hi,I am attempting to build an automation that will help assign a student to the specified time slot.I have 2 tables, 1 of which is for trial arrangement, and another for enrolled students.Both these tables have the following fields:Day, Timeslot, Coach, Location.I have another table for the available slots.There are 6 records with the exact same Day, Timeslot, Coach, Location. (each timeslot can have up to 6 students (regardless of trial or enrolled))When a child is about to enroll for example, a button will be pressed, triggering a webhook to integromat/make.com, which will get information of the record.How can I make integromat/make.com find this slot if it is available, to assign the student to?I've tried doing a search, but it seems my formula might be incorrect, as it returns with a 0 bundle

The script works well and the new contacts are being created with all of the relevant text fields in the new table.My issues began when I tried populating other types of fields.. I want to write a formula to automatically note "Active" in a column when the position start date is before today and the position end date is greater than today OR when the position start date is before today and the position end date is blank. Here is how I'm trying to write it. The first part of the formula worked- it populates the cells in the column with the word "Active" for those whose position start date is prior to today, and whose end date is greater than today. When I try to add in the OR part- where position start date is less than today, and position end date is blank, I get an error. This works: IF(AND({Position start date} <= TODAY() , {Position End Date} >= TODAY()) , "active" ) But this does not:IF(AND({Position start date} <= TODAY() , {Position End Date} >= TODAY()) OR(AND({Position start date} <= TO

Hi all, I'm stuck as to what to do here. Hoping someone can help. I THINK a formula should be able to do this? Essentially I want to create a view that shows me only the records that have a zip code that matches a zip code of another record. I was playing around with the DeDupe app, but that merges records, which isn't what I want. I want to keep the records, but I want a view that lets me easily view where the duplicates are. Is there a way to prefill a form that updates the existing row?

After using AirTable for a few years to manage some operations of our company, I want to also use it for invoicing.As per our local regulations, this needs to be done via an approved platform. The platform that we are using integrates with Zapier and Make, so connecting between Airtable and the platform is very easy.However, I'm trying to make things a bit more complicated, and would like to know if its possible:1. Pushing a button / trigger for a record to call the automation and create the document.2. Retrieving the document via URL / Location on Google Drive and saving it as an attachment for the record.

The Airtable pricing page says that the Free plan includes up to 5 creators/editors and unlimited commenters and read-only users. Do those apply to the Plus and Pro plans? If not, why not? Am trying to get Airtable a paying customer and can probs get my client to go from paying $0/month to $10/month but they need those commenters and 1 creator (that’s me). I know that Enterprise is the latest and greatest thing, but they can’t afford $10K/year. Thanks so much.

To explain my project, I have two tables :- A "Movies" table that stores a list of movies, one of the fields in this table is an Attachment field that contains the movie poster image.- A "Catalogs" table that has a link to the "Movies" table.The goal of my project is to create catalogs by selecting the movies I want to include using the link to field, and then, by clicking a button, launch a Make scenario that retrieves the selected movie list and generates a catalog in PDF format using Eledo.
