Hi everyone! 👋I’m running into a weird behavior when working with Google Sheets and wanted to see if anyone here has ideas or has run into something similar.Every time I add a new row manually (or via automation), the new row is not being added at the bottom of my sheet — instead it’s always inserting at row 1257, pushing all existing rows below that down. I expected new rows to be added to the end of the data range.Here’s what I’ve noticed so far: The sheet definitely has data below row 1257. New rows always appear at 1257, not at the lowest existing row. I’m working either manually or via a script/automation (could be Apps Script/Zapier/Make/Webhook). Has anyone seen this happen before?Does anyone know what settings, filters, named ranges, scripts, or other quirks might cause Sheets to treat row 1257 as “the end” of the sheet?Happy to provide screenshots or more context if needed. Hello,I have an events table with several events, each taking place on a different date. (Example: Event 1 on January 1st, Event 2 on February 1st, etc.)I would like people to be able to sign up as volunteers for one-hour slots for each of these events.What database structure would you recommend I create?Could I automate this process so that, once an event is created, it populates a new "slot" table by creating x new rows linked to each event, each row representing a different time slot?(Row 1: Event 1 - 9am to 10amRow 2: Event 1 - 10am to 11ametc.)Thank you very much for your help!

Hey allI have been losing my mind over the last 5 hours.I have a trigger when a record matches conditions to see if some fields are not empty.Then I have a conditional logic step that checks to see what data is in those fields and then execute if they are true.If it does execute, I find a bunch of records. And then I run a nested Repeat for each using the list from the find records step.In the repeat loop, I am going to create a new record. But...none of the data from teh current item is getting passed into the create records step.The weird thing is the preview shows there is data coming in...but the create record step, or a script step because I tried that too, is just not getting the data from the Current Item.Here is my automationHere you can see the data from the Current Item  Here you can see the previewBut then I run the create step and that data is NOT getting to the create step. I’m making an Airtable project where I want to show prefilled form or prefilled interface page in form layout. I’m able to prefill both but I also want to have some fields to be non-editable. Is that possible in Airtable?

Hi everyone,I have an automation that matches keywords to a record. In this case it’s a person and their biography, e.g. I want to tag Neil Armstrong with Astronaut — chosen from a fixed list. NB. I have tried the deep match and it’s too slow for the volume I’m working with.Table A: ProfilesTable B: KeywordsIt compares the two and selects very well, but sometimes it invents new keywords. If I don’t allow the keywords field to be edited by automations, I get nothing. Does anyone have any bright ideas? Would this be better as a script (I had a script a year ago but can’t remember why I changed)Screenshot attached so you can see how I set it up.  

Hi group,  Wanted to ask you about how you manage user management. I get a lot of questions from our organisation about “who can add me to Airtable”, and so far it’s just me managing our groups (I’ve made groups based on permission rights and what interfaces they should see).I’ve seen there is an option to assign members of these groups to be the group admins. I’m wondering if it’s worth making one user per team an admin, so they can manage access rights for their area without always going through me.How do you manage this? any good tips?

Hi everyone!In Airtable Interfaces, is there a way to restrict comment notifications / @mentions so that only Admins can be mentioned (or only Admins receive the notifications)?We want interface users to be able to leave notes, but ensure that @mentions/notifications go only to our Admin team.Any best practices or recommended workaround (permissions vs automations) would be appreciated. I'm working on a project where we use:- Postgres for our production app database - Airtable for our internal team (support, ops) The challenge: keeping them in sync without writing fragile scripts.Curious what others in this situation are doing:1. Hi, We’re currently running our business using a software package called Squeegee, but we’ve reached the point where it doesn’t allow us to scale effectively. We’re now looking to build stronger internal systems using Airtable and modern automation tools. I keep getting this message and ive done this same thing a bunch of times before: {{Make sure you enabled the following scopes for your token:data.records:readdata.records:writeschema.bases:read}}  Its kind of hard to miss these exact words while comparing them slowly  to ensure accuracy. It just wont attach the scopes to my api token. Im not sure what in missing and i should not be missing anything, its pretty simple to do as ive done before so what changed now when i have changed nothing?

I received some interesting info about the new portals feature and have filled out the stupid sales form (because I have an enterprise account) but no one seems to want to help me. Sad that I’m having to go these lengths given that I THINK the feature might actually be valuable enough for me to waste my time trying to track down a person.  Hoping some will route this to someone. Hello! I am a new AirTable user and have spent over 30 hours trying to build a worksheet generator for my classes. Since I don’t quite know how AirTable works, Chat GPT has been walking me through all of the steps. But … it isn’t working and after 30 hours I’m feeling like I should give up. Would anyone be willing to take a look at it and help me?

Hi community!I'm building a Custom Interface Extension (with Claude Code) and want to add the native Airtable comments section to my detail view - just like you can add it in the Interface Designer.Question: Is there a component or method to embed the native comments UI in a Custom Interface Extension?What I've tried: Searching for components like RecordComments, CommentSection in @airtable/blocks interface-alpha SDK Using expandRecord() - but this opens a separate modal instead of inline display Building a custom solution via REST API (works, but missing @mention autocomplete)  What I want:  The same comments section you get in Interface Designer - with all features like:Inline display (no modal) @mentions with autocomplete Profile pictures Full comment threadIs this possible? I’ve been building an app through the free trial and have hit a snag. I’m aware Airtable won’t let you create new Linked Records in a form. Fillout doesn’t have the capacity for a price my boss is willing to pay. I’ve been using Gemini quite a bit which has been helpful, and they suggested something that would work but I wanted your opinion (Confidently incorrect AI’s and all that). My tables in question are “Customers” which can have many “Locations” and “Contacts”. Locations can have many “Jobs”. If I create a job and the customer doesn’t exist, I have to leave to make the customer, only to remember that I don’t have the contact or location, so I have to leave and do those, repeat ad-nauseum. Gemini’s suggestion is to create a master intake table. For the customer, I could select from a dropdown (as usual), but if it’s a new customer, I would fill in new fields for the customer information. Repeat with Location, Contacts, and the Job details. Then use automation to parse the data and

As you can see below, I want to know if the users can comment with text and attachments, because I saw on the dropdown list for choosing the displaying options. I wonder if the users can comment with text and Attachments as proof or something else, it would be beneficial. 

I have a custom interface created by Omni where I have a button to create a new record in a table. When I’m creating a record from this interface, I want to upload a csv file into an attachment field, however, the code isn't working. The file will appear to have been uploaded, but when I check the data table, it's not uploaded or it's uploaded in a corrupt format that doesn't load again. How can I fix this in the interface? Omni has not been able to solve for this yet.

I’m working on an interface page with the list template. One of the fields I’m trying to display in the list is date. I noticed the field had more margin than it needed so I looked for a divider and found what looked like a divider to drag it over to make it more narrow but when I clicked it actually added more width, I tried a gain and it added even more width where the date is now the only visible field and I have to scroll over just to see the other fields in my list. I can’t seem to find any way to make it shorter or even just go back to it’s original width. Could someone please help explain what I’m doing wrong and the correct way to adjust field width in the list interface template? 

Until today, I have had a Make scenario that takes attachments from incoming Gmail messages and uploads to a new record in AirTable. Today 1/23/26 at 1pm, the attachments turned into download links, and I am unable to preview my files anywhere in AirTable. Did something change? Regardless, how do I get the PDF files to upload properly to AirTable in a way where I can preview them?
